The team at the riad were fantastic! Hospitable, friendly, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. The room was cleaned really well both on arrival and throughout our stay. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about us having a good experience, and it made a real difference to our trip

Only issue was one of the night staff, Abdullah — he was overly familiar and made some inappropriate comments about myself and my female friend. Then later showed up at odd hours (5am) at her door without real reason. Made us feel uncomfortable at points during an otherwise great stay.

Pretty pool area

The room was so small, it felt like a dungeon with no lights. The walk to riad is hard and it stinks.

Very disappointing experience I arrived at the riad exhausted, but had to wait because the room I had booked was still occupied. After waiting, I was finally given another room and told that this would be my room. I unpacked my luggage and even took a shower, only to have them knock on my door shortly afterwards and ask me to move again because of an issue with the room. Having to pack everything back up and move after already settling in was extremely frustrating and made for a very poor welcome and start to my stay. On top of that, I was charged an additional upon arrival, even though this charge was not mentioned anywhere in my booking reservation. Overall, a very disappointing reception and experience. I expected much better.

L’établissement était très charmant avec des liés baldaquin devant la piscine, c’était très calme et agréable de s’supposer de plus, le personnel était très agréable et très gentil et là 24 ans sur 24. L’établissement propose une navette à l’aéroport qui est venu nous chercher en vanne très confortable pour six personnes et une personne est venue nous chercher à pied du vanne jusqu’au Riad car impossible d’y aller en voiture pour nous indiquer le chemin.

Sous notre porte d’entrée, il y avait un trou et les chats venez très régulièrement gratter pour rentrer dans la chambre donc pas très agréable. De plus, notre pommeau de douche était uniquement du haut et fuyait. Donc cela m’était de l’eau partout autour de nous (par terre sur les toilettes, mouillé, le papier toilette…). L’annonce disait que le ménage était fait dans la chambre tous les jours, mais on a dû leur redemander deux fois pour qu’il le fasse réellement. Pour finir sur l’annonce, il y avait une photo de Rooftop avec des transats sur le toit pour s’y suppose, mais aucun Rooftop n’était présent sur place. Nous avons demandé où cela se trouvait et on nous a dit qu’apparemment c’était en travaux.

Le calme, les chambres, la piscine et le personnel sont parfait. La clim qui n'est pas indiqué sur booking qui est un gros plus en pleine été !

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und immer hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt und frische Handtücher gebracht! Das Zimmer war kleiner als erwartet aber vollkommen ausreichend! Pool und außenbereich waren Traumhaft! Der weg zum Hotel war verwinkelt und führte in die kleinen Gassen wo es nachts etwas unheimlich wirkt aber auch da war das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und half uns sogar mit den koffern! Wir können von Herzen das Riad empfehlen und würden wiederkommen :).

Food menu, no roof top terrace, room sizes were on the smaller side, but efficient for space.

Beautiful place, with a pool. Staffs were all very nice, and accommodating, Hamza was polite and always greeted us with a lovely smile. Another staff (sorry I do not know his name) offered us Moroccan tea after we were back in hotel, I found that very kind. Location is good too, most of the attractions were within 16 mins walking distance.

Outdoor furniture's were worn out. No bin in the bedroom.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk, stond vaak voor je klaar. Ook werd de kamer elke dag opgeruimd wat erg fijn was en konden we wanneer dan ook nog even een duik nemen heerlijk!!

Un immense merci à toute l’équipe du Riad Mazarin des Gourmets pour cette expérience absolument exceptionnelle. 🙏 Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une grande gentillesse et un professionnalisme remarquable. De la réception à l’équipe en cuisine, en passant par le personnel de service, chacun contribue à faire de ce lieu un véritable cocon où l’on se sent immédiatement bien. Le riad est magnifique, d’une propreté irréprochable. Les chambres sont élégantes, confortables et d’un calme absolu. Chaque détail est pensé avec soin pour offrir une expérience de grande qualité. La cuisine est un véritable régal : des plats délicieux, préparés avec finesse et servis avec beaucoup d’attention. Nous avons également eu le bonheur de vivre un véritable hammam marocain, suivi d’un massage directement au sein du riad. Un moment de détente exceptionnel qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus inoubliable. Un merci tout particulier à Sarah, à Abdallah, ainsi qu’à l’ensemble du personnel, pour votre accueil, votre disponibilité, votre bienveillance et votre professionnalisme. Vous faites vivre ce lieu avec le cœur, et cela se ressent à chaque instant. Nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs et reviendrons avec un immense plaisir. Une adresse d’exception que je recommande les yeux fermés. Une véritable pépite au cœur de Marrakech.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Mériem et Éric.

Riad tout simplement MAGNIFIQUE ! C’est un riad traditionnel marocain authentique, très bien décoré et propre. Idéalement situé, à proximité des souks et des lieux touristiques. Également à quelques minutes de la gare routière très bien desservie par les taxis. Notre chambre (Zyanna) était encore plus belle et spacieuse que sur les photos, elle était d’ailleurs climatisée (non précisé sur Booking). Le cadre était très agréable, riad paisible malgré sa localisation dans la médina bruyante. L’endroit restait aussi très frais ce qui faisait beaucoup de bien sous la chaleur de Marrakech. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment bon ; thé, jus, msemen, omelette… pour 90 MAD, rien à redire. Concernant le personnel : nous remercions Zineb et Abdou. Zineb est extrêmement souriante, gentille et professionnelle. C’etait vraiment très agréable de l’avoir dans le riad, elle a grandement participée à la qualité de notre séjour. Par ailleurs elle a organisé la soirée d’anniversaire de ma fiancée ; bouquet, pétales, gâteau, cocktail… Elle s’est vraiment appliquée et c’était magnifique. Abdou était également très gentil et serviable. Le riad propose aussi des Hammam, nous avons passé un bon moment lors de celui ci et je recommande vivement l’expérience. Enfin nous avons eu un soucis avec le pommeau de douche et celui-ci a été réparé le soir meme.

Cela ne concerne pas vraiment le riad mais nous pensons qu’il est important de le preciser ; le riad étant situé dans la medina, plus precisémement à Bab Doukkala (quartier populaire et non accessible en voiture mais seulement par des petites ruelles qui peuvent être intimidantes), les regards et comportements des locaux étaient extrêmement insistants et déplacés à certains moments. Etant touristes et sous une grosse chaleur, ma fiancée s’habillait de manière simple mais qui visiblement déplaisait aux locaux (jupes mi longue / t shirt, vraiment rien de choquant et en total respect et adéquation aux moeurs locales). Nous avons été suivi dans la medina et insulté car sa tenue « ne convenait pas », nous comprenons que la culture marocaine est différente de la notre, et que par conséquent nous devons l’a respecter. Cependant il y a des limites et ce genre de comportement n’ont leur place nul part dans le monde. Cela à un peu empiété sur notre expérience car c’etait vraiment pesant. Malgré ça nous recommendons évidemment ce riad a 100%, tout était exceptionnel, seulement sachez que vous subirez potentiellement des situations embarrassantes en vous rendant au logement. Toutefois merci pour cette magnifique expérience, nous reviendrons si nous en avons l’occasion. Un immense merci !

El trato del personal me encantó, fueron muy amables todo el rato, muy serviciales, el servicio una alegría la verdad volvería aquí sin dudarlo. Y todo tal cual las fotos ningún cambio todo impecable.Y mención especial a Zina que es una persona estupenda y nos ayudó en todo siempre, muy servicial y siempre con una sonrisa, nos encantó muchas gracias!!❤️❤️😊

work going on next door all day until 9pm. couldn’t relax at all. have requested compensation but nothing so far. just said they can’t help it but it not on paying all that money to stay on a building site

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und sauber. Besonders war der Service. Es wurde alles umgehend erledigt und gelöst und es gab immer mal kostenlose Getränke

We hebben heerlijk geslapen. De host deed erg zijn best. Het eten was zalig!

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich und bequem, sodass wir sehr gut schlafen konnten. Die Unterkunft war sauber und insgesamt sehr angenehm. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und es wurde teilweise sogar Deutsch gesprochen. Die Unterkunft liegt nicht direkt im Zentrum, sodass man ein Stück laufen muss (10-15 Minuten) . Für uns war das jedoch überhaupt kein Problem und wir haben die Spaziergänge sogar genossen. Dafür ist es sehr ruhig und man hört nichts vom Stadtlärm. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft gerne weiterempfehlen und würden wiederkommen

Als kleine Verbesserung wäre eine zusätzliche Sitzgelegenheit im Zimmer, beispielsweise ein Stuhl, schön gewesen. Das hätte den Komfort noch etwas erhöht.

The people were so nice and caring, the rooms got cleaned very well every day. Nice breakfast. Everything was just so great and the location was great. And just the riad itself was beautiful.

The road to reach the hotel was really shady and tricky, there are crooked houses on the way and construction, especially at night, taxis drop you far out and you need to work around a Kilometer to reach the facility Its also hard to recognize the hotel door from the outside. Also it looks so much smaller than the pictures

The active pool and the bathroom

it’s in a good location, next to the souks. Walking distance to everything really. Good outdoor pool area with beds.

There was construction work we weren’t aware of and we were given the room that was right next to it. On our first full day we had constant banging and drilling from 10am-10pm. The next full day the banging continued until 7pm and we were told they would finish at 1pm. On top of the banging, at 10am a couple that worked for the riad were arguing and shouting very loudly outside our room and continued arguing and running around the riad for hours after that day. We asked to swap rooms because it was unfair to listen to this, especially if we wanted to sit by the pool during the day when it was too hot to explore the souks. Dust was coming into the hotel. We remained in our room with headaches our whole trip. Also on our first night we arrived at 11pm so we went out to get some food, we brought it back to the riad, not knowing it wasn’t allowed. We were happy to respect their rules and said we are happy to eat it outside and then we will come back inside and apologised for the inconvenience. The receptionist let us eat in the patio inside and told us we would die if we ate the food we bought and that my partner would divorce me in the future for not working in construction based jobs. If she was upset about the food we already explained we were happy to eat it outside the hotel and again, apologised on multiple occasions as we simply didn’t know. We remained in our room and had some free breakfast and tea to compensate… which in other riads they provide this already

The property is very good value for money. The staff are brilliant, especially Fatima who was so amazing and very keen to ensure that we were as comfortable as possible and if she could do anything to help. The swimming pool is a great size and the area around it is perfect for relaxing after roaming the souks.

Be aware that there are no late night snacks or drinks. Also very difficult to find but also part of the road charm!

Très beau riad typique marocain. C’était notre première expérience en riad à Marrakech et nous ne sommes pas déçus. L’établissement est chaleureux et plein de charme. Le personnel est accueillant et l’ambiance est vraiment dépaysante. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

They offer a hammam massage but the massage itself needs to be paid extra, not sure if its really like that or what.

Le service de Sarah et Fadwa était de très bonne qualité, elles ont été aux petits soins avec nous nous avons donc passé un excellent séjour.

The staff are really friendly. The tea is wonderful. Every thing is kept clean and rooms are kept spotless every day. The garden area is beautiful. I recommend british to stay as they are made to be felt very welcome

C’est dommage qu’avec le prix de la chambre le petit déjeuner ne soit pas inclus.. le prix du petit déjeuner en supplément et de 15€ ce qui est pour moi très cher.. et il n’y a pas plus de choix qu’ailleurs.. en France on a un buffet à volonté pour le même prix..

This Riad has real character and is a lovely space in a busy part of the Medina. Its communal courtyard is ideal for rest and relaxation.

Unfortunately there is no signage, not even on the entrance door in a dark back alley and sometimes we had to wait to gain entry in the middle of the day. There is no complimentary water for the bedroom. The food and drink prices are quite expensive with no menus to reference. We were charged €22 each for just a lump of chicken (piping hot on the outside, but cold deep inside) with no bread, no couscous and no vegetables. There was also construction noise daily which we were not informed about beforehand.

My sister and I had a lovely stay at the Riad. The cleaning was exceptional, with the room cleaned every day to a very high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It was overly expensive for the room that I stayed. I booked the Riad because I liked the rooms and bathtub which was very disappointing to see after checking in the Riad, it didn’t look how it was advertised plus I had issue with the hot water, me and my niece almost burnt ourselves while showering. I was looking forward to spending some quality quiet time and getting in to my bathtub, but none of that I could enjoy. My bathroom was very dark and bathtub was really dirty. I had to put layers of towels to get in for a shower, which was also the worst experience, the water will run from very cold to very hot and then at the normal temperature, a normal 5 to 10 minute shower took us 50 minutes to shower. The staff tried to fix the issue by calling in the plumber, but unfortunately didn’t fix the problem, neither did they accomodate us in a different room which I asked for it after checking in on the first night, and having the experience of burning myself that night. I woke up in the morning by the loud banging noise of construction which went on till the day I checked out. I wish they would have informed us about the construction work that had to go on for several days so I could book another Riad to relax and enjoy the holidays that I was looking forward to. Our host Riad Mazarian des gourmets had obligations towards their guests,their comfort and having the best experience at their Riad which they failed to provide us. I was so disappointed for the price which I paid for.

It is located in the heart of the Medina where everything happens but once you get in it is very quiet and relaxing. The staff are so nice, specially Fatima. From day one Fatima treated us with so much love, kindness and care, she was definitely the highlight of our stay and if I ever come back to Marrakech I will stay here just to see Fatima again. Please remind her every day how valuable she is and how much light she brings to this place. No woman should ever be made to feel guilty for working, being independent, or wanting more for herself. The hospitality, warmth, and care she gives to strangers from all over the world is something rare and beautiful, and it deserves respect, support, and admiration, never control. Women like her need to be encouraged, not silenced.

I wish the terrace was open so we could tan.

It was very well organised and extremely clean. It also just looked absolutely stunning and the beds were super comfortable. Also the staff was friendly.

Prices for certain facilities like food and drinks can be a bit expensive. Also, there was a lot of construction happening so it could get a bit loud.

Great location, staff members couldn’t do enough for us, especially Loren and Abdullah. We were met from our taxi to guide us to the property and the same again upon departure. When there was a small issue during our stay with water, the staff went above and beyond to make it up to us and couldn’t apologize enough.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and had the most magical time. Everything about this Riad was perfect! The location was central and close to plenty of restaurants and shops, as well as being only a short walk from the square. It was quite tucked away and difficult to find at first (like most Riads), but the staff were super helpful when we contacted them and came out to meet us! Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated. Our bathroom provided toiletries and complimentary bathrobes which was a lovely addition. It was always nice and cool even during the hot days, and had a beautiful door and widows opening straight out to the pool! The staff were so kind and lovely to talk to during our stay. I used the hammam and spa facilities which was incredible value for money and such a treat! We also had breakfast one morning which was delicious! Overall I was so impressed by the tranquil atmosphere and incredible service at this Riad. Truly such an oasis amongst the chaos and the perfect romantic getaway that we will never forget! Thank you :)

Dejlig lille oase mit i den ellers larmende Medina. Mulighed for afslapning ved poolen eller lidt selvforkælelse i riadens hamam. Meget imødekommende og venligt personale, som er opmærksomme på deres gæstes behov. Stor anbefaling fra os!

The Riad was away from the main shopping street, so it was quiet and peaceful inside. We used Google maps to find it, without it wold have been hard. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to offer us advice on places to visit. The breakfast was delicious, and very filling.. and the mint was tea was sweet and tasty. The facilities in the room were great, the bed was a comfortable size and the bathroom was stocked with body wash, shampoo etc..

The stairs to the rooms on the upper level are wooden, so could be very noisy at night. Apart from that it was all good.

we felt very welcome at this Riad, immediately greeted with traditional moroccan tea and shown to our beautiful room. Sara was amazing!!!! Can’t fault her hard work. Stunning pool and relaxation area.

Everything was exceptional for our stay. We checked in late at night and the Riad organised a transfer for us, which gave us great peace of mind to take us direct to the Riad as someone was there to greet us and walk us straight there. The place is spotless and maintained extremely well. Sara was so helpful throughout our stay recommending great local places aswell as advising us how to get about (i.e InDrive) which we wouldn’t have known about prior. The breakfast is beautiful and we were full all day, the chef even baked the bread for our pastries the same morning about an hour prior! We felt so safe and comfortable and the pool area is stunning and relaxing. We will recommend to everyone coming to Morocco! Thank you again Sara and the wonderful team.
