Naxos Green Village Hotel

Green village was perfect, very close to the main city, all the staff were exceptional, the apartment was really clean and spacious, so many friendly cats in the village, and there is a good size supermarket just outside if you need supplies or want a night in.

The design and decoration of the place was so cool and stylish. The poor was luxurious and the pantry restaurant was gorgeous and the food and staff were lovely.

The location is a busy road yet it’s like they have created an oasis.. our room was for three of us two were sleeping on what was the sofa and they said it would not be comfortable for more than 2 nights. We couldn’t get the coffee machine to work and it’s a faff not to have more workspace that we are putting the camping stove on the floor to cook.. not that we did much cooking

L’hôtel est situé à proximité d’une route bruyante (automobiles) et passante, et la piscine se trouve en contrebas de cette route.. pas tout à fait ce qui a été vendu. Concernant la chambre, nous avons dû changer car invasion de fourmis. Odeurs de remontée d’égout régulièrement. Ménage approximatif, pas d’ustensiles de cuisine, terrasse austère et presque inutilisable (pas de parasol par exemple). Étant donné le prix très élevé, les prestations ne sont pas du tout à la hauteur.

The room was clean and designed nicely. The pool area is very nice and we were able to get sun beds each day (perhaps as it was quieter in September). It’s around a 10 minute walk into town and had a supermarket right outside.

The pool is pretty cold so doesn’t really get used as much as it should. You also cannot eat or drink anything which is not purchased from the onsite restaurant at the pool which I found strange as hotel guests and not restaurant users. The grounds are a little unkempt and could use some attention.

It was kind of out the outer edge of town. There was construction going on all around and the views from the hotel and surrounding areas were meh.

Absolutely stunning hotel with large rooms and very comfortable beds. It felt luxurious and the staff was very kind and responsive. The pool was above expectations !

This was not a problem for us at all but it is a 10 minute walk uphill into town so consider this location wise.

Sehr modern eingerichtetes Zimmer und tolle Poolanlage, die leider wegen der Lage (Umgebung industriell) nicht hervorragend ist. Entfernung zum Zentrum ist aber in Ordnung.

Das Frühstück hat uns leider nicht zugesagt. Gutschein von dem Restaurant nebenan, aber die Speisen waren unterdurchschnittlich und auch nicht gerade üppig.

Das es leider nicht Privatsphäre hatte. Das Hotel ist darauf ausgelegt wir ein Dorf zu wirken, jedoch entsteht dadurch eine viel zu offene Umgebung. Es gab keine Abtrennung an unserer Terrasse zur Nachbarsterasse, was nicht so schön war. Darüber hinaus, gibt es keine Schallisolierung.

We researched the hotels on the island for a long time before deciding on the Naxos Green Village Hotel. Two reasons, was the pool and the location to the town for evening food and walks. The pool area is very nice and though it is by a busy road, you don't notice it. The view from one side of the pool looks on the unfinished town sports center which isn't great but it didn't bother us. The grounds are lovely overall, the rooms are very nice, lots of cats which the kids loved. The walk to town has 3-4 versions you can take and all are easy and 2 take you in the back way through the old market, which is really beautiful. The staff on the desk are amazing and very helpful and can't do enough for you. Having travelled all of over Naxos town, we felt we made the correct decision for the location, price and staff. The beach is a nice area but very busy and only a 15-20 min easy walk away.

We did laundry, 18 Euro for a big bag, seemed pricy but the drop off rate is 16 euro per bag in the town, so the extra 2 euros is fair for delivery and pick up.

The location is a bit random

This hotel is set out like a small village and is just on the edge of the main central area of Naxos town but still within walking distance of everything - the ferry port is a 15 minute walk away, but you can vary the route you take exploring the narrow back streets and castle area. There is a swimming pool and a good sized supermarket just across the road which is super convenient. The rooms had a kettle, coffee machine and good size fridge. There is a café / restaurant on site called The Pantry that does breakfast / brunch and we ate there a couple of mornings. I would say it was OK - we had their breakfast menu deal where you get a drink (but coffee has an extra charge), a main (generally 2 eggs cooked the way you want and a piece of ham and bread ) and a side such as fruit salad or yogurt. Overall we found the hotels location convenient and quiet as slightly away from the main centre but still with everything within walking distance.

Our only complaint was the lack of proper hot water. There was very little difference in temperature between the hot and cold. I did go to reception and ask about it. The girl came to the room and after running water for some time said that's the hot water. I would say it wasn't hot - just not cold. The hot water temperature was luke warm and similar to that in a swimming pool. It did mean for us showers were very quick and not what I would describe as warm let alone hot. We stayed at 4 hotels on Greek islands and this was the only one we had an issue with, If you like cold showers this is the hotel for you

Our room had marks on the mirror, we had some ant problems, no amenity for our honeymoon even though we stayed for 5 nights. Staff were young and not very nice.

We paid to upgrade to a nicer room. The pool is big and spacious and the property offers a lot of independent services, food, massages, Pilates ect.

I didn’t find the staff very welcoming or friendly. When we went to our room, we were told not to drink the tap water… but then they don’t provide water in the room, you need to pay 1 euro for bottled water. There were ants every night in our beds ( we didn’t have any food in our rooms )

My room was very damp and had a mouldy smell.

Great location and amenities, super friendly staff, and a very comfortable bed with daily cleaning services. The room was just like in the pictures and offered a safe, and the pool was spacious without much crowding (though we didn't stay at the peak of the tourist season). Ample of parking at and around the hotel if you have a car, though I believe the hotel also offers rental services and transportation to/from the port/airport. All while being 15' by foot to the old town where all the restaurants and shops are. We would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was not a buffet but a 12€ voucher per person at the "Pantry", which usually covered a drink, a savory dish, and a sweet dish (eg omelette, pancakes, and coffee)

The pool is great, very relaxing

La piscine est un vrai plus. Les petits dej sont bons et le service à la piscine top. Les lieux, le complexe était beau en soi. A 1 min d’un supermarché. A 10min du centre, des restaurants, du port et de la Porte.

Avec les photos du site, tu t’attends à quelque chose de plus luxueux. Plus moderne. Notre chambre ne correspondait pas à l’esthétique d’une chambre double deluxe du site. Nous avions même payé un supplément pour avoir ce côté « luxe » qui nous a manqué. La piscine est top mais les transats commencent à avoir du vécut et les parasols ne sont pas tous en bon état. Et la vue piscine est très belle d’un côté (photo sur site) mais de l’autre cotre c’est un vis à vis direct avec la route passage et un chantier en construction. LE SEUL VRAI DÉFAUT : un oiseau dans une minuscule cage au milieu du restaurant. Il n’a même pas la place de voler.

Υπάρχει ένα γενικότερο πρόβλημα στην Νάξο με τις αδέσποτες γάτες. Το ίδιο πρόβλημα υπήρχε και στο κατάλυμα. Ίσως θα πρέπει να υπάρχει μια γενικότερη λύση στο πρόβλημα.

What we loved most about this property was the resident cats, one in particular. The supermarket across the road is very handy as well.

Unfortunately, when we arrived our unit had a foul odour in it that turned out to be blocked drains. The fridge made a terrible sound so we would have to unplug it each evening. Generally the property isn’t well maintained however has great potential.

Attendant at pool would be helpful - some guests save beds leaving others waiting for beds to become free I noticed people who were staying outside the property coming to use the pool and using the sunbeds which is a bit frustrating when you have no sunbed The pantry whilst excellent lacks snacks and treats (chocolate crisps etc )

Style over substance. Odd concrete bed base. Three or four hangers each. Sink in the main living area. Tiny bathroom. Pool but you couldn't take your own food or drinks. Does it belong to the property.

Absolutely wonderful stay from beginning to end! The hotel was beautiful, spotless and perfectly located, but what truly made the difference was the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and our first visit to Naxos could not have been better.

Everything, the pool was wonderful, the staff were wonderful, the rooms were well equipped. It was only a short walk into town and the grocery store practically opposite was very handy. The cleaning lady was so lovely and would smile and cuddle our baby boy in the morning which was so sweet. Thanks for making our stay so memorable from the 'nice family'.

A lovely stylish large room, a coffee machine kettle with pods (but no tea bags). A great pool with comfortable loungers. A short walk into town and a supermarket just across the road. Discounted Pilates classes available on site. There was also a massage facility but we didn't try.

Serious damp/musty smell issue – management refused to acknowledge the problem We reported a strong musty, damp smell in our room on the very first day of our stay, but nobody offered any support or solution. On our last night, we raised the complaint again. A hotel staff member came to the room and claimed there was no smell at all. Then technical service arrived and also said there was no odor, but offered to place a dehumidifier "if we wanted" — which contradicts their own claim that there was no problem. I even invited our guests staying at another hotel to come to the room, and they immediately noticed the same heavy damp smell. Because of this, my family of 6 had to sleep with the windows open every single night and morning, and we were unable to properly use one of the rooms throughout our stay. I have been a Booking.com user for 10 years and have stayed at many hotels around the world. I have never seen a hotel act as if there was no problem instead of simply changing the room or offering compensation. Sending technical service to say "there is no issue, but we can put a dehumidifier if you like" says it all. My advice: if you choose this hotel, avoid this particular room. I told them I would share this experience in my review — and here it is. Not recommended.

Relaxing atmosphere, great location. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Hospitality of the staff made us feel very welcome, gave great recommendations for local restaurants.

Fantastic pool. Pantry restaurant is good with friendly staff. Rooms big, stylish and comfortable. Great base if you want to be able to walk to the Chora but want a big pool. Also an easy (15 mins) walk to the nearest beach.

A few quirks, like almost nowhere to store clothes in the rooms or hang up towels, plus an odd collection of things in the kitchen area - sandwich toaster but no bottle opener. None of these are major, but they give the impression of something not quite finished.

Spacious resort with large well appointed rooms. The swimming pool is huge. The location is fantastic- just a 10 min walk to Chora

The pool is deep throughout. An adult can only just stand on the bottom, so difficult for kids or for family games. Not enough sun loungers at the pool. The breakfast set up doesn’t work very well - you get a prepaid card to use at the neighbouring business, the service was awful and the food was ok.

The location is good in terms of access to Naxos town - a short walk to the centre and a short walk to Agios Georgios beach. The swimming pool is great - large and with plenty of sunbeds and seating etc. The beds in our room were very comfortable, the aircon was excellent and the room was very nicely serviced every day with fresh towels etc.

The immediate location lacks charm - the view from the pool is over what appears to be a derelict factory building. The staff were fine, but this definitely wasn't the warm welcome we're used to elsewhere in Greece, rather more transactional and 'business-like' - overall the staff seemed relatively young and rather under-confident / disengaged. We stayed in a 'Deluxe apartment' - recommended for a family of 4 - consisting of one small double room and then 2 beds in the 'living room' area which had no windows and therefore no natural light! The decor is very 'boutique hotel', but we felt overall more attention had been paid to style than to guests' actual needs - i.e. no wardrobe space / shelves in the bedroom, no hooks to hang clothes / towels etc. We also had a large and extremely sunny terrace - but with NO shade which essentially made it unusable!

Hotel bastante bonito no muy lejos del centro de la ciudad (10-15 minutos). Piscina grande y varios servicios cerca (supermercado, ATM, restaurante, gimnasio).

La presión del agua era floja y el baño a veces olía un poco mal pero en general es un muy buen hotel.

Location is ok, 10 min walk from Naxos Town. Pool is great and clean. You have a supermarket 2 min walk so that's practical.

Staff is a bit rude. I think you can find something better in naxos town and probably for less. I think it's a bit overpriced especially that breakfast was not included and they don't give you free water bottles (only 1 included on the first day) which I think for the price it should absolutly be included. The nearest beach next to the hotel is st-george beach and it's the worst beach on the island I think. So packed, too many long chairs, dirty and really not what greece beaches look like in general.

Breakfast arrangement. The breakfast is run by a separate business who are not accommodating at all. Very restricted menu and the breakfast wasn’t great. They also service the pool which belongs to the hotel. We were asked to not bring any outside drinks to the pool as we could only buy from their very expensive menu. This was not made clear when booking or in the hotel details.

La literie était très confortable, piscine très agréable et à l’abri du vent, l’hôtel est situé à une dizaine de minutes du centre de Chora. Il y a sur place une salle de sport et des cours de réformer (en supplément) ce que nous avons apprécié

A notre arrivée, nous avons du faire le tour du complexe avant que notre chambre ne nous soit attribué. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour trois personnes, mais il manquait les équipements pour la troisième personne (chaises,verres, tasses). Nous avons du demander à plusieurs reprises pour obtenir les équipements manquants. Il n’y avait que très peu d’eau chaude en fonction des horaires.
