Bed bugs everywhere, lizzards, stained and ripped bed sheets, no water, no charging sockets working, bad smell, no AC, dirty floor and dead bugs all over the walls.

The Owner was very kind, Poh Poh the dog was quite cute and the location was very close to everything. We were able to rent push bikes through the hostel and rode around town without stress.

This place is very close to the Mayan temple, and easily accessible by bus. The staff are very helpful.

However, it's very hot here. The hotel owner could increase the price for tourists and install air conditioning; I think that would make it more appealing to guests. You can't sleep in a room that's stuffy and very hot.

La nourriture est chère pour la quantité servie. L'eau à boire est payante. Je ne sais pas si c'est répandu à Lumbini ou pas, mais au Népal, c'est la première fois que j'ai eu cela. Les moustiquaires laissent passer les moustiques. Il y avait un flux continu de moustiques dans ma chambre.

Ich war für 2 Nächte da und sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt. Die Besitzer Familie ist sehr freundlich und bemüht um ihre Gäste. Das Essen und Frühstück hat immer sehr gut geschmeckt! Sie haben einen Trinkwasser Spender/Filter aufgestellt um seine eigene Wasserflasche aufzufüllen (1 Liter für 10 NPR) und Plastik Müll zu reduzieren. Das hat mir sehr gefallen und hab ich zum ersten mal in Nepal gesehen!!! Ich würde wieder kommen!

Small basic room but clean enough and in the best location close to gate number 5. Beautiful patio and terrace. You can rent a bicycle from the guesthouse and leave luggage if you need on the check out day.

When I stayed, the owner of the place was not there. Instead, there was a young boy who needs to learn to be a bit more educated and work on his communication skills - talking to him I didn't know if he didn't understand what I was saying, if he totally ignored me or if he was laughing in my face. Felt a little bit uncomfortable because of that and also because of how the house keeping woman was silently staring at me without a single smile. Other than that good, and it seems that when the owner is there it's all good. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room and some days there was a very unpleasant and strong smoke smell from outside, think they were burning something nearby. The room also smelled of cigarettes at arrival before I put some incense.

There’s a very relaxed friendly atmosphere at the Lumbini Village Lodge right from the warm welcome. It’s peaceful although in the main street and also close to the Mayadevi temple. Nothing was too much trouble for Jupiter and his helpers.

最不满意是房间的蚊子太多，第一晚根本无法入睡，只能用衣服包着头睡。第二晚把房间的风扇开到最大驱赶蚊子才睡得好一些

Location at gate 5, nearby entrance to Sacred Garden and near bus stop. Staff and owner are kind people, eager to help with anything, booking transportation, recommended activities within Lumbini, offers tours/bike rentals. Clean and comfortable beds. Even has cafe/restaurant available

I like the simplicity of the place

Noisy : -Water pump from the neighbors starting at 5am, the one from the hotel started at 6am. > I complained but it seems normal to them -An opening on the wall above the door made evrysound from the common space coming in. Mattress was hard I asked for a large bed bedroom and got a small one.

Very friendly owner ,good room ,very clean and good beds. Comfortabele and als good value fot the money. Great breakfast in a beatiful restaurant

The owner is like my brother. He speaks English and planned for my exploration of Nepal. He even escorted us to our bus to go back.

The hotel was fantastic value for money. Comfortable room within short walk of Gate number 5, tourist bus stop and restaurants.

The owner is so funny and welcoming and the guy working in the hotel is super kind and helpful. Loved the position and the atmosphere inside (what a nice yard with all the flags!). So kind, they gave me the room at 7 am as I git there so early after a night spent on the bus.

Hot water for the shower was missing, even after asking for it I had to wait for half an hour and still it didn't come. And light in the toilet was missing as broken.

Unbearably hot. Even with the fan and the windows open, it was too hot for me without AC and I was having problems with the air in Nepal, so having the windows open too was challenging. If you are there when it’s less hot, it would be great!

Great location, right bang in the middle of the where the main attractions are. The owner, Jupiter, is a great guy! Warm hospitality and good sense of humour. The room is comfortable and quiet. Good value for money.

The location was excellent and the room was very reasonably priced. I had a lovely view from my room. The room was clean and had all amenities for a comfortable stay! The owner was exceptionally helpful and I was able to rent a bicycle for the day and he had a lot of knowledge of the area. Their little restaurant did a very nice breakfast!

The bathroom was maybe a little bit dated but it was completely full functional and actually added to the charm!

No hot water on winter and a window I couldn't close during the cold nights

The property owner, Mr.Lilamani Sharma/Jupiter, and his family and staff were wonderful. They were very generous sharing information and offering support and helping guests (us and others) during our 4 day stay. He also openly said himself that they are providing service to the community to help their Dhamma pilgrimage at Lumbini - it is not a 5 star facility, nor is this a place for luxury. They are environmental conscious, in trying to reduce plastic use and using solar power for heating water. These also mean that sometimes we may not get hot water, like in the night or early morning, or it may be just warm. The folks help us understand how to keep the mosquitoes out of the room, and gave us incense stick to deal with the ones that do find their way in somehow - but beware some mosquitoes could still be troubling for sensitive people. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for a stay.

The location is good, very close to Maya Devi temple and the tourist bus stop. The stuff is friendly and helpful. If you want to sleep well, pack some mosquito spray !

The owner negotiated price after mentioning the expectation vs reality about the room.

The room was cramped with no proper ventilation. Dust on skirting, table, cloth hanger basically everywhere inside the room. TV didn't work.

- Central location - They let us choose the room we preferred and we ended up with a better room than what we had booked - We had to leave 1 day before what was planned and they were very flexible

It would be nice to add a bedsheet and not only sleep with a blanket, and also add a kettle to boil water in the room

The location was good. Near the local transportation and the bus park.

The room is not at all comfortable. The room was very very damp and as a result it was very cold the entire day. Outside is much much warmer than the room inside. The bathroom is not at all clean and not in good condition.. They should change the winter blankets as they were very old. Should provide a room heater as the room is extremely cold.

LUMBINI VILLAGE LODGE Day 5-7 Location was ideal: central in the village and within walking distance to the Maya Devi temple. From the lodge it is easy to get local Tut tut transport or bicycle hire to explore the large area of international Buddhist temples and World Peace Pagoda. The rooms are simple & clean and of standard better than other budget places to stay in Lumbini. It has a nicely appointed guest restaurant with a good menu and interesting street views. (The more expensive, higher standard accommodation are all located outside of the village centre.) The Lodge has an authentic feel of traditional with all the basic modern amenities. I recommend at least a 3-night minimum stay here. The host manager has superstar-appeal and made me feel 'special'.

Caring and kind owner. Breakfast and laundry possible. Good clean rooms. Neat Guesthouse. Organise Bustrips across Nepal and also Daytrips to Kapilavastu are possible.

Everything was good

The Hotel/ homestay is centrally located in Lumbini Bazar and very near to Maya Devi temple Gate number 5 and also the tourist bus stop. It has several restaurants and shops nearby where you can delve into the local delicacies. Wi-Fi was working well, beds were clean and comfortable. Staff behaviour was nice. Our stay was peaceful. The property is well decorated too and they have a cute little puppy to greet you as well.
