I cannot say enough good things about San Nicholas. This resort is set in one of the most beautiful locations you can ever imagine. The food is amazing and the staff cannot do enough for you. This was by far the best resort we stayed at in Palawan and one of the best we have ever stayed at. Its small and intimate with the most incredible beach and views of Black Island with a gorgeous sunset. The resort finds the perfect balance of relaxed and understated luxury. Thank you, Tito Javier, Tita Sandra, and your amazing staff for the wonderful experience. We hope to see you again soon!

Everything was DREAMY!!!! The beach is so beautiful, everything is amazing, the food was SO GOOD!!! We stayed there for the end of our honeymoon and we were the only guests there and it was the best experience ever!!!!

Véritable petit coin de paradis. L’hôtel se situe sur une île privée avec une plage privée absolument magnifique. Nous n’étions que six clients durant notre séjour, ce qui donnait l’impression d’avoir l’île entière pour nous seuls. Une expérience unique, parfaite pour une vraie déconnexion et un séjour au calme. Le personnel a été exceptionnel du début à la fin : attentif, chaleureux, gentil et toujours arrangeant. Les repas étaient également remarquables. La demi-pension sous forme de buffet proposait chaque jour des plats différents, aussi bien le midi que le soir, et tout était absolument délicieux. Nous avions également gratuitement à disposition des kayaks, des paddles ainsi que le Wi-Fi, ce qui a rendu le séjour encore plus agréable. Une expérience inoubliable que nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Le seul petit point négatif, s’il faut vraiment en mentionner un, serait la taille du lit, que nous avons trouvé un peu trop petite.

Nos encanto todo, es un paraíso. La comida es excelente con mucha variedad y calidad, destaca el pescado fresco y local. Los trabajadores son muy atentos y serviciales. This place is heaven on earth! We LOVED how calm and peaceful the whole stay was. We loved the food! It was all delicious. The staff were all super helpful! It was all amazing. San Nicolas is a dream, hidden gem, a place you will never forget. The location is stunning, attention to the guests and to details are priorities. Distante dal turismo di massa, siamo a 2 ore circa dal porto di Coron, offre un’esperienza unica, immersiva nella natura e nella realtà dell’isola. La ciliegina finale è il cielo stellato che di notte svela la bellezza dell’universo.

Dover andar via. Da considerare che le escursioni classiche turistiche di Coron sono lontane quindi non fattibili. Ma al tempo stesso ci sono altre isole da vedere altrettanto belle e senza nessuno.

The location of the resort is truly unique. It is accessible only by boat, which makes it very isolated and private. After being picked up from the airport and driven for about 40 minutes, we were transferred to a boat and arrived on the back side of the resort, at a private jetty surrounded by mangrove trees. We were greeted by the owner and walked for about 10 minutes through a beautiful garden to the reception and beach, where the six rooms (duplex or single bungalows) are located. The beach is unspoiled and surrounded by coconut palms, with plenty of places to relax (hammocks, sunbeds, etc.) and lots of privacy. Every night there is a fireplace lit after dinner, so you can watch the sunset while sitting by the fire, which is a great experience. The water is a bit shallow, so swimming is often not an option since the reef and bushes are quite close to the shore, which makes it less comfortable. However, there are complimentary kayaks that you can use to reach a platform about 800 meters from the beach. From there you can explore a really beautiful reef with lots of colorful starfish, shells, sponges, and fish. We also recommend taking a trip to Black Island, which is located just in front of the resort. The reef there is also amazing, and we saw gigantic schools of sardines like we had never seen before. The resort itself is a bit worn out and not very modern, but the privacy and small details, like the handmade wooden chairs, make this place special.In our room, the air conditioning was not working, so for the first night we were given a spare room next to the reception, which also serves as the bar. The room was newer but quite noisy, as people came for breakfast early in the morning and for drinks late in the evening. Every night the tables were set up on the beach, and dinner (or lunch) was prepared by the owner’s wife. The food was delicious, although in terms of the quantity they could easy double the amount served and there would be no leftovers.

Considering that there are no places nearby where you can go and buy something to eat, the amount of food should be more generous. For example two medium sized fish for 12 people to share is simply not enough. And there was no refill so if you came late the plates were empty. What spoiled the initially very good impression was the fact that, after being asked by email about our food tolerances and preferences and then again upon arrival—when I mentioned that I am vegetarian—we were served a dinner where pork and chicken was served. After I complained, the waitress said that I could eat rice and a few small vegetable sticks. After several hours of travel, with no opportunity to eat anywhere else, I insisted that some fish or vegetables be prepared for us. Eventually, a delicious extra meal was prepared. In the following days, fish was always served, and vegetarian versions of soups and additional vegetables were also prepared for us. Everything was delicious. The staff were generally polite, but they were not very smiley, and sometimes it felt as if they were working there more out of obligation than with genuine enthusiasm.

Le paradis sur terre... Un endroit privé sans touriste, très peu de chambres et une plage de sable blanc. Where to start? The location is amazing. It is increasingly difficult to find truly unspoiled, undeveloped areas within the beautiful beaches of southeast Asia, but this is one. The staff, starting with Javier Sr. and Javier Jr., are warm, welcoming, and friendly. Units are limited (to seven, while we were there) so you are truly their guest starting when you arrive. And the lunches and dinners are absolutely outstanding. Meals are apparently based on family recipes and the chef is so creative at presenting different, luxurious meals day after day. Included activities include stand-up paddling, kayaking, and snorkeling. But relaxing on the beach in a lounge chair or hammock is also a very attractive option. Massages and other tours are also available, including trying to see a dugong. The property faces west which means there are sunsets almost every night.

There is nothing that we did not like. If you are happiest when enjoying the natural beauty of a location away from the crowds, you will not do better than San Nicolas. One request/recommendation/piece of advice: while San Nicolas and its grounds are spotless, if you walk to the ends of the beach, you find debris washed up on shore (as you do in any beach in southeast Asia, where I have lived for 10 years). This is not the hotel's trash, it's from the ocean. But if you picked up just a bag or two each day it would make the entire area even more pristine and beautiful.

Everything’s was take care of by the staff and hotel owner, we gut the chance to go kayaking and snorkeling without any additionally costs. Food was amazing and tables set up on different places of the beach everytime we had food.

We didn’t expect for it to be as closed off as it actually is, only reachable with a boat so calculate a lot of traveling time to get there. San Nicolas Private Beach is a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet, a beautiful beach, and good food. The owner has beautiful villa’s, all of which are separate and offer plenty of privacy. The slightly more expensive cottages on the beach are the best option, all with air conditioning. The service is perfect; you're picked up from the airport by pickup and then driven to a small harbor in 45 minutes. Then, another 45 minutes by Bangka boat. It's an ideal spot for those seeking peace and quiet and good food. You can also take fun excursions. Definitely a recommended place to stay. Not suitable for children.

Beds could be better. The shower is disappointing, barely any water comes out.

We loved this place. It would be a great honeymoon destination. The place is beautiful, enhanced by their buildings and the care taken with the setting. It’s such a pleasant place to spend time. They set the tables in different places every meal time, often outside if the weather allows, near the beach. Meal times are set and the food is severed as a buffet. And the food was amazing. Local harvested oysters and caught fish and plenty of vegi options too. It was a nice time to meet other guests. We needed a transfer to Coron town at the end of our stay. We left at 3pm after staying for lunch and were taken to our next hotel included in the price. Brilliant service.

The bay is tidal so sometimes the water is low but sometimes it’s high too so not a problem. There’s no where else to go but we didn’t want to anyway!

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. My boyfriend and I booked this resort in the hopes of having a relaxing few days away from the crowds, and it exceeded all our expectations- a real hidden gem! The resort is situated on a private beach and you truly feel like you are on a private island. As the resort is small, there was never many people around and felt really peaceful and intimate. The staff were absolutely brilliant and super friendly. Javier and all the other staff couldn’t do enough to help make our trip amazing. Transfers were super easy to arrange (and complimentary)- incredibly flexible and accommodating for your pick up/ drop off (wherever that may be from/to). The food was also amazing! You have a choice of a few different options at breakfast, including Filipino, American or continental breakfast. The lunch and dinner options were buffet style, set up for beachfront dining, and all of the meals were so delicious! Activity wise, there were kayaks and paddle boards available for guest use which were really fun. There is also a trip to a nearby island with waterfalls and other unique wildlife, but we unfortunately didn’t have time to do this. Although we’re not hugely into scuba diving, there are lots of places from the beach that are supposed to be great for this. There are also beachfront massages available on request. We’ve attached some images from our wonderful stay. Thanks to Javier and the rest of the amazing team for making our days at San Nicholas so amazing. We will certainly be returning, for much longer next time!

Out of the way with no signs of Human life. Maximum six chalets. Quiet getaway. Lovely inclusive food. Beautiful view from beach. Nice day 3 hour day trip to black island. Real adventure getting here. One hour in comfortable 4x4 to pier and then 30 mins by boat. Go there now before any development.

Nothing at all. Perfect place. We only stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed for 5. Personally, I feel you could not use San Nicolas as a base to discover Coron Island etc as it would take 1.5 hours one way and 1.5 hours back. It would be a very long day. But best to enjoy the perfect scheduled beach setting for the full day.

You could call it a kind of paradise. After a 50-minute car ride from Coron Airport and a 40-minute boat trip, you arrive at the resort, which is located on an incredibly beautiful island. The resort has a total of six rooms and a very wide beach, so it almost feels like having a private beach all to yourself. The sea is amazing, and the sandy shore is impressively large. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with non-alcoholic beverages, are included in the price. The food is delicious and satisfying. We had a very peaceful and enjoyable vacation. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

One of the most amazing places we've stayed at. The stay wasn't amazing because of the luxurious rooms or the unbeatable facilities but because of the location, food and the staff. The place is located on a stunning, private beach which is well.maintained by the property. You can snorkel right on the beach or take their kayak for a short trip. The property will help arrange various tours for you and all of them are conducted using their own boats. The manager, Mr Abraham accompanied us on all our excursions and was simply amazing. He was an excellent tour guide and is also an expert, certified diver. Overall it was 4 days of bliss and peace at the property.Can't wait to go back again

It's a little hard to get a cellphone signal. The place is very desolate and does not have easy road access, so you're stuck on the property.

Total of 4 nights stay at San Nicolas Private Beach, 2 way airport transfer is included which is good as the place is secluded. 20-minute boat ride with Abraham and his team. Abraham explains nearby islands like fishermans villages. Check-in and checkout were smooth, golfcart was driven by Javier (owner) to assist with our heavy luggage from the port to the lobby. Overall, the 4 nights experience was exceptional. It was a wonderful experience each day. ALL meals are included in buffet style (except the breakfast, order from menu each morning). Activities in the resort, they have the black island tour, which us half a day from 8am to 12nn. Bring your beach shoes as you will visit the nice caves (stones and sandy). They have the paddle boards and kayaks. Near the resort is awesome coral reefs! Rich reef! Since you might end up doing it for hours, make sure your skin is protected from scorching sun. Ask Javier and Abraham the best spots to snokel!. They have a massage, too! But make sure to book in advance (1 day) as the masseu can be busy off the island. Food wise, every lunch and dinner is top-notch! Abraham had good wines too, so go on and enjoy your holiday a bottle or 2. Staff wise, they are all nice and friendly. Don't hesitate to ask if you have an enquiry and they will find the answers in the best way possible. Resort' s manager Abraham is very knowledgeable of the island and tours we've been to! His not even local, but i tell you he knows better than locals. He shows dedication and expertise in his work. Resort's food and interior are well planned by the owner Sandra and her husband Javier. They have worked hard to bring the best out of the place to give the best for their guests. This resort was in years of work and kudos to the entire team. Continue your efforts and more happy and grateful customers will come.

All is good! The resort provides basic shampoo and bar soap. If you have preferred body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, bring them with you. In every beach resort, there will be nikniks and mozzies. Make sure to bring your preferred bug repellent. Resort provides mozzie lotion to save you.

We loved everything - from the first moment arrived till we had to leave. It was peaceful and tranquil experience. The staff were amazing and the food was excellent. There is a calm long beach right in front of your villa, where you may enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening. Last but not least there is good and accessible snorkeling, sup and kayak also available whenever you want to use them and a wide variety of daily excursions in case you want to explore the nearby area.

We took a risk booking San Nicolas as there were minimal reviews and it is a remote location, we are so pleased we did as our stay was the highlight of our trip! It is a piece of paradise for couples looking for a peaceful place to relax. Beach was very beautiful (pictures do not do it justice), it is a short trip to black island also which is a good excursion. Staff all lovely too, special thanks to the manager Abraham who was on hand for anything we needed during our stay including booking massages and arranging a late check out. Do not hesitate to book this place if you want a few days to switch off and relax, we dream of coming back one day.

Such a magical stay on SNPB. Can’t top the location, a breathtaking beach. Javier, Abraham and the team were amazing hosts and you’ll find it hard to beat Sandra’s cooking! We also did an excellent 2 island boat trip and also used their kayaks and paddle boards to go and snorkel at the reef in front of the beach. Pure bliss!!

Amazing location, the beach is gorgeous (to shallow to swim though), the food is excellent and the service very personalized. The team did everything they could (and more) to make our stay memorable! If you can splurge and get the luxury rooms, they are worth the upgrade! A perfect place to relax.

Everything exceeded our expectations. One recommendation though: the owner may consider turning this into Adults only or children over 12 resort, since this is not a place for toddlers :)

Best place we stayed in the Philippines. The resort has a private beach with excellent facilities, decorations and comfort. There is a wide choice of daytrips / activities and also great food! personel was very attentive and friendly. Thank you!

Where shall I start? The location is simply Heaven on Earth and Javier and his team make the whole experience even more outstanding. It begins with onboarding the banca to access the resort. The service, the food and the trip to Black Island. And, the super friendly and open team. A 10/10 doesn't reflect the experience. Thanks for having us, Javier.

What a pleasant surprise! We took a chance on this place as there weren’t many pictures and reviews available online. But everything turned out to be AMAZING! The pick-up service was seamless. The hotel is like a dream, so gorgeous! The best part was we were the only guests there during our stay, so it was a private experience throughout. The staff took really good care of us with their kindness and hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious! We stayed for 4 nights and definitely had a hard time to say goodbye to this hidden gem!

Absolutely nothing

Ultimate destination if you are into a relaxing beach vacation as the beach is private, only for hotel guests and they have only a few rooms available. In fact we were the only guests at that moment. Black island is only a very short distance away and can be easily visited on a morning trip. The food was plentiful and delicious. The free private transfer from the airport went very smoothly.

Only one point that can be slightly improved is that the personnel is very shy to ask questions if they do not understand the guests completely. But it was not an issue for us.

We were a bit skeptical due to the few reviews, but it's just because it's fairly new and luckily we booked as our stay was absolutely incredible. The resort is on a long beautiful private beach facing Black Island and beautiful sunsets. Bungalows are new, fully equipped and super nice. Loved the outdoor shower. We had all our meals directly on the beach, the food was delicious and in a romantic setting. The staff was super sweet and helpful. We went with a kayak to snorkel on the coral reef just in front of the resort, even saw a turtle! Otherwise they can bring you by boat to Black Island - which is also beautiful. All transfers were perfectly planned.. What more! Highly recommended!

This hotel is exceptional: the site is unique, facing the sunset, and the beach is magnificent and truly private. There is a large, very well-kept garden, the accommodations are perfect and very well decorated. And the food served buffet style is excellent. A place that gives an idea of ​​paradise. We were very well received by Javier, the owner of the place. It is magic and upper class !!!

Booked a short stay, but we ended up staying longer as the place is just magical. Some highlights we loved: - Over 700 meters of private beach facing beautiful sunsets - Dining on the beach, fantastic food in a romantic setting - Hidden away location, with a feeling of exclusivity - super friendly staff Will stay again if we ever travel back to Busuanga.
