Très très moyen
The location was very nice! There was airconditioning. We were able to put things in the fridge. The room was clean. We had a balcony. There was enough space for our suitcases.
The beds were a little hard, and when one person moved you could feel it. So that was a little downside but other than that it was good.
Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding
Not bad for the money. Nice balcony. Everything for tea and coffee. The guy came quickly and fixed the toilet. We checked in at midnight, the owner gave us a room number, keys were in the door.
The sheet was torn, and there was no blanket when we arrived. The toilet got clogged, and by evening there was no water. Very noisy at night, but earplugs are available.

Guter Platz um El Nido zu erkunden. Hilfsbereites Personal. Sauber
Schlechte Erreichbarkeit des Personals. Ziemlich laut. Kein Internet.
The hotel was nice, and comfortable. Room had AC and hot water. It is not in the center of el Nido, which was something good for us.
It was a little bit noisy at night, but not a big deal
Super netter kleiner Familienbetrieb

Property is located in the beautiful and very local town of Caalan, just throwing stone distance from El Nido. It is very clean, spacious and comfortable. You have everything you need in the neighborhood yet you can enjoy more local experience with people that live around, still being able to walk to El Nido to have some party, drinks or more sophisticated and foreign-focused experience if you like it. I enjoyed Caalan much more than El Nido, made some beautiful friends here and eaten delicious local cuisine. Place also offers motorbike rentals and laundry being done. Rooms are clean, water is hot, you can enjoy beautiful terrace and surroundings is extremely safe. It is easy to get there, you only go straight from the main road next to the beach from El Nido. Can’t miss it. Hosts are beautiful couple that are always responsive to your needs and naturally friendly.
The people who own the property were very helpful, kind, and just amazing welcoming people to be around
Nothing
Hotel realmente perfecto.
No wifi
Complimentary coffee and 15 minute walk to the town square.
Unresponsive hosts, never anyone at the property. We were early to check in and wanted to leave our luggage but were just ignored when texting the owner, sat in reception for nearly an hour until the cleaner arrived. Incredibly loud, even with earplugs, very loud AC also. Laundry came back to us hours after we were told it would, we tried to get hold of the owner and were yet again ignored, eventually it was just left outside the door for anyone to access.
Very clean environment and owner was very friendly
The place is convenient and value for money if you want a bed to rest at night time..
The place is convenient and value for money if you want a bed to rest at night time. The owner/staff only was there upon our arrival and disappeared from then onwards. We ask to reserve a trip and sort us with transport but she offered double the price we found on the street… so didn’t use here recommendations. Also the boat trip, she canceled it the evening before. When it comes to tidy…. Well, I fully understand that animals come and go but there was a rat wondering on the main room table and kitchen which was absolutely un attended. There is air conditioning but check the setting you use since it is also a heater ;)
The staff was nice and helpful
The property is far from the center in an area that only has two restaurants and nothing more, here it is worth staying more to the center. The floors and walls are very thin making it uncomfortable for all guests as you can hear EVERYTHING. The shower pipe broke when we first tried to use it, pushing large amounts of water out and floating the bathroom until we were able to fix it by ourselves. They sent someone the next day but were not able to fix it completely so we had to be careful when showering with another shower head .
We went to El Nido with the family. Miss Ashley was very approachable—she arranged everything for us: tours, van transfers, and motorbike rentals. The location was great, close to everything. The place was clean and the air conditioning was cool. Overall, we had a fun vacation.
En plein cœur de la vie locale on a adoré. Tout le monde était super gentil Logement rudimentaire mais propre et confortable. Une adresse à ne pas rater.
Rien
Nice stay at the Hidden of Cailan, great location to walk to local cafes and not too far from the main town, it was a walkable distance. Complimentary coffee/tea available throughout our stay and use of the kitchen. Owners were very friendly and helpful!
Mabye cleaning the room throughout stays, but other that that nothing!!
Location away from the main area, but walk was fine. Nice vibes in accommodation, typical Filipino style.
We had read online that the walls are thin and could be noisy but assumed we would be fine with earplugs. However, the noise was unbearable we had to leave and find new accommodation. Noise through the walls of other residents going on to 4am in the morning, outside karaoke starting first thing in the morning and construction work starting early across the road. Being that the door to the balcony didn't close properly, this didn't help with noise control. There were ants in the room, even though we did not have any food in there. When we arrived we were not provided any explanation on staffing hours or contacting staff if required. When we went to mention our concerns there was no one at reception. When we left the accommodation and I messaged the owners through booking.com and noted the lack of availability of staff, I did not receive a positive response.
The room was really nice, the interior made it cozy. The location was good and everything was clean.
We heard everything in the room. Everything from outside and everything from the neighbors. It felt like we were in the same room as the neighbors. It was very very noisy.
Good design, kitchen, clean, friendly helpful staff
Thin walls, sounds like you’re sleeping in the street, roaring AC
Great location , walking distance to town 10 mins , flat , and 50 m from beautiful beach , but out of busy area , traditional family home, which daughter runs , very clean with lots of character , and style and a balcony on each side so good air flow , hot water shower which we didnt need as so hot while we were there , aircon - perfect really for what we needed
As others have said being a traditional style house , the walls are very thin so you can hear everything , earplugs were supplied which i didn’t use , but a lovely gesture !
In terms of location it is quite nearby to center of El Nido walking or quite easy by tuktuk.
I think I was just very very unfortunate on having a huge birthday party happening in front of the building, and since the hotel is in a traditional/old building the walls are paper thin so I could hear everything. On another note as I was not aware but there's no flush in the toilet just as an fyi, it is done in the traditional way.
The location was good, away from the huddle and bustle but still close enough to walk into town. The staff were nice and very helpful in terms of organising transport to our next location.
The room itself was very small and generally lacking furniture as there was nowhere to put our bags. The shower also turns off after about 2 minutes because each room only has a certain water allocation, and is forced to use the bucket to wash (which is cold and really difficult when washing one’s hair). There are also tons of signs with rules so it feels more like I am in someone’s home rather than staying in an accommodation that I have paid for on my holiday. It was also quite difficult to find the location as the extension was not showing on Google, and they were not responsive on booking.com so we ended up taking a very roundabout route before we eventually found the place.
The staff really friendly, we booked with them the boat tour D and it was really nice ! Matrass is comfy. Free Filtered water and cofee
There is no moustik nest for the bed or window. The noise of the street/rooster/neighborhood.
It was out of town, but close enough to reach everything by foot :) Rooms where big and really nice! Since the building is built on Philipino special it's quite loud and you hear everything but you get earplugs for that 🌞 Overall good stay and the staff was easy reachable and the cleaning lady is just the cutest! Not very socialising! Kitchen free for use and fridge! :)
close to the beach but also peaceful as away from the main streets. Friendly owners who are very helpful. Good aircon and was enough room for two people with a balcony too!
So beautiful and traditional, had a kitchen that you could use and a big table to sit and relax. Beds were comfortable, walking distance to the main area. Great stay!
Had an amazing stay at Hidden of Cailan. Our host Ashley was amazing and really helpful.
The only thing is that the rooms were very noisy. The wall were quite thin. You could hear .. “everything” .. ahha
Water dispenser. Air con was Working well. Hot water on the shower
Terribly noisy. The hotel is on a road where hundreds of motorbikes keep roaring all Day long. You can hear everything your neighbours Say or Do. No view. They charge you 1200 pesos one way by TUK TUK to Nacpan beach which is 6 kilometers away when for the same Price you can rent a TUK TUK and the Driver for the whole Day,
Everything was perfect! It’s managed by a small family and they are the sweetest! They make sure you have everything you need. The best thing about this place, is that it’s SUPER clean!! I saw them clean our room and they literally change everything! Sheets, pillowcase, towels. They also do a full cleaning of the bathroom.
Only thing that’s not great about this place is how thin the walls are. They are REALLY thin and you can hear absolute everything from your neighbors. I mean EVERYTHING. Even whispering. BUT we just talked with our neighbors about it. And everyone was super nice about it and we all kept quiet after dark.
This is such a lovely place to stay in el nido. We stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect the rooms were so comfortable and had great air con, we also had absolutely no problems with the running water which was a bonus 😃 also the family who run it are so lovely and helped us with everything we could need. If I came back to el nido I would 100% stay here again!
The street at nighttime can be slightly loud but this is so minor and didn’t bother us too much at all!
Lovely couple who run the property, always available to help and Tuk Tuk ride to airport offered. Close walk into main town but out of main hustle and bustle Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom Free tea/coffee Use of kitchen and fridge Amazing value for money
The property is traditionally made from bamboo so there is no insulation or soundproofing, it was very loud when trying to get to sleep and in the mornings with passing tricycles. There was also building work happening right next door throughout the day- bring your earplugs! Although did mean we could hear the frogs singing on an evening!
Lovely homestay tucked just a short walk away from El Nido town. The hosts were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they catered to all our needs. The room was spacious and clean, and we feel very lucky to have stayed.
Nothing!
We spent a week here and loved it :) Ashley and her family are so friendly. They helped us with laundry, made sure we had everything we needed and they were quick to respond to messages. Thank you both :)
We would like to thank the owner for letting my family stay at Hidden of Cailan Extension Transient. It made us feel like we haven’t left our home. We have occupied the whole house, btw. We even also cooked for our breakfast and dinner, that saved us a lot from eating outside. The owner immediately responded to our queries and assisted us when needed. It is budget friendly and affordable. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The representations are exactly what we have stayed.
Maybe the thing that could be improved is the service going to TownSquare. It may be an added feature and of course at an additional fee.
This was the most beautiful place where I stayed in the Philippines. It's a traditional house with just three rooms, which makes you feel you are in a family home. The architecture and decoration is really pretty. The location is great, about 10-15 walking from the main busy areas, which is great as these get very busy and noisy, especially at night but also during the day. It's a really nice walk along the shore. This area is much more quiet, and you don't need to suffer with loud music during the night. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. They helped me book all my tours, and I was very happy with them. Highly recommended place in El Nido.
NA
Amazing staff
Nothing
Staff was very gentile and helpful, air conditioning works well, same as the wi-fi connection. We have been offered the scooter for one day that turns out to be really useful to visit better the the island. The structure offers loundry service paid for kg, however invoiced weight didn't correspond to real weight of our clothes (some kg has been added, but after checking it at the reception desk suddenly correct amount has been charged).
There is a huge issue with running water. We have been told that it effects all island, but apparently Hidden of Cailan was the only one place in all El Nido where you have to use bucket instead of shower. Drinkable water was not always available.
Amazing owners made us feel so comfortable and really nice property
Really nice clean bamboo rooms. Had a balcony and the room was lovely and cool
Breakfast was a bit basic and didn’t have vegetarian options. Unfortunately there was no running water but there was a rlly good portable shower provided
We would like to say a huge thank you to Ashley and Iver for their care. We lived for almost a month in this hotel. The guys organized great bikes and transfer for us. They helped with everything we needed. Amazingly kind people, thank you for your help :)
The walls in the house are very thin, but they provide earplugs. There is also a problem with the lack of water in the tap, but the guys brought bottles of water every day 👍🏼
In light of the water shortage, the hosts did everything they could to make us comfortable. Free motorbike and excellent washing - the cleanest our clothes have been for three months in Asia. We really liked the location tucked away from the loud music and busy strip of the main town but still close enough to walk in for dinner. There was actually a lovely little more local restaurant nearby that we ate at a few times - Mia's bistro. Plus the beach closest to the accomodation has way better sunsets than the main town! Room was clean and the air conditioner worked extremely well!
Stayed there in April, unfortunately there was no running water due to the recent heat. We only got a notification about this the day before arrival. They provided us with water from plastic tanks for showering and flushing of the toilet. The portable shower provided did not work, so we had to go to a nearby hostel to shower. Room was not cleaned once during our 5 night stay here. Definitely bring ear plugs because the walls are thin and there is a lot of noise from passing traffic.
The owner was very helpful and kept asking if everything was okay for us. We got a free motorcycle for the length of our stay.
Very friendly staff and just right by the beach
I enjoyed my stay here. I feel I'm home. They have free coffee and I can even use the kitchen, they have a refrigerator. The room is simple but very comfortable even though the walls are really thin and can hear the next door but it doesn't bother me, like what they said the hotel was inspired by the traditional house the "Bahay Kubo" understandable since I'm Filipino. The staff are nice, kind and approachable, ready to help in any matter. I actually extended my stay here for 2 more nights, glad they have available slots. They offer motorbike and island tours. Near the small store where I can buy snacks and drinks.
There's no water in the shower due to the summer season, but I don't mind since they always provide a bucket of galloon every time especially if I need it.
The staff are amazing, always there to help and the accommodation itself is superb! Facilities are extremely clean and the design is beautiful here. We cannot recommend this place enough. We loved it so much we extended our stay! Also the bike rental is great, really reliable and trustworthy.
Nothing! Everything is perfect!
Ashley was really helpful with anything we asked for, the rooms were nice and comfortable and the AC was great, only about a 15 minute walk into El Nido Proper where all the shops and bay front restaurants are.
This was an issue completely out of the hotels control, but in the area where the hotel is there was a water shortage at the time we stayed (End of March) because there had been no rain for ages. Ashley always provided water if and when we needed it for showering etc, but If this would be an issue for you then maybe choose a different area :)
great location (10 min walk to main strip), good breakfast (toast, eggs, fruit or pancakes), clean bedrooms with nice homely touches.
24 hours prior to arrival we were informed by the hotel that El Nido faces a water crisis. Consequently for the duration of our stay we had no access to running water (had to shower and wash hands with a bucket and manually fill up the toilet each time to flush). This was particularly annoying as we could hear a running shower from our neighbours room. Initially the on-site staff kept telling us the shower was working but it was evident it didn’t when they kept giving us a bucket (we resorted to showering at a near by hostel). Once we got in contact with booking.com the owner of the hotel herself was so helpful and kind - offered us free shuttle service and free use of motorbike. She also frequently messaged us to ensure we were being well taken care of. However, for future reference, it would be nice if guests could be made aware of the water situation several days prior to booking as other hotels did not face the same water crisis that this hotel did.
The staff is super helpful and friendly. Walking distance to the center.
The noise from the street & the noise from the aircon .. use the provided earplugs.
We loved the staff and they made us feel so welcome and at home. We especially enjoyed the complimentary scooter hire - this was absolutely a bonus!
Due to the water restrictions in El Nido (as March is dry season) we had to be mindful of the times when we had running water. The staff were so accommodating ensuring that we always had enough water in the bucket and it made for a local experience!
It is a small place (only 3 rooms) in a walking distance from town center. The hosts are very helpful. The room is smallish, very clean. We could use the kitchen and the fridge.

We loved everything, from the decor, to the hosts and the location. Ashley & her family were absolutely lovely people, very helpful, friendly and polite. We will definitely come back on a next trip to El Nido. Thanks for everything Ashley & Family 🫶🏽
We don’t have anything to complain about. Everything was perfect as it is. People that complain about the noise or cannot sleep due to other people talking, the noise of the dogs or motorbikes should read the description properly and next time maybe book a resort and you won’t complain about the noise. Ashley provides earplugs so next time have good use of them if you are a light sleeper.
Its very nice and comfortable place.its not far from the center
The walls between the rooms you can listen everything from the next rooms.
We loved the location: Restaurants, laundry, shops, the main district are all in walkable distance. Ashley was very welcoming and always there for us via WhatsApp. They are renting motorbikes which we found very reliable and well priced.
The level of noise is unbearable and completely ruined our stay in this otherwise lovely accommodation. Since it is located at the main street of the district, all the noise from the many motorbikes and people nearby comes through the thin walls and never seems to die off. Dogs were barking and howling every single night. Earplugs were being provided, but they did not help much. By the end of our stay, we were quite sleep-deprived. On top of that, the house next door is currently a construction site which adds a lot of noise during daytime. The room did not get cleaned during our stay (7 nights), which we found a bit odd.
Lovely property and friendly hosts. Photos are accurate. Comfortable bed, hot water, strong wifi, clean room. Good location, a 10-15 minute walk or quick moped ride into town. Laundry services and convenience stores are available just a few minutes walk away.
As advertised in the photos the walls are very thin and they don’t block out any noise. Ear plugs are provided which help with the noise coming from other rooms but don’t help with the noise of traffic in front of the house or the building works happening next door.
The staff was so lovely and willing to help at any time :) it‘s about a 10minute walk into the main part. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Thanks a lot to all of you! I felt very welcome :)
Room was very clean, breakfast was delicious, our hosts are nice, helpful, always there for us if we needed anything. We even forgot our jacket and they bring it to the bus terminal for us. We recommend this place to everyone if the want the best value for money.
Super cute traditional Filipino house
The walls are a little too thin but not so much a problem over all
It’s a little out of town and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle and noise of central El Nido. But it’s easy enough to get into town via foot or motorbike/tricycle ride organised for free through the host. Beautifully designed interior so it feels natural and homely. Excellent service! Ashley was kind enough to help be book onward travel, tours, organised my laundry to be done and arranged breakfast. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!
The water went off during my stay however I think this is more specific to the area rather than the property itself.
Staff is very accomodating
Walls dividing the rooms were thin. You can hear the other room like they are beside you
Hostel owner is very kind, and the room was very clean they also can help you to book island hopping tour a,b,c,d or other tours
Its good stay and good location. The only thing i can say is that i can hear the next bedroom. Staff are nice and friendly.
the decoration the building materials the bed and the pillows
the sink is very low, like a children’s bathroom
