Nothing at all—everything was wonderful!

lovely little wood house in a very nice garden, full of plants , it is close to the nicest beaches. totally recommended and the staff was very kind and helpful

The house was well equipped with a nice bathroom with a big shower, a small kichten and a very comfortable bed. All the windows were equipped with mosquito nets and the stuff cleaned it everyday. Lucas and his family are super nice and very helpful.

The way to the house with the scooter is a little tricky but absolutely manageable.

A casa era muito confortável e o ambiente é super aconchegante. Dormimos muito bem, as camas e travesseiros são muito confortáveis. Tinha uma cozinha bem compacta, mas atendeu todas as nossas necessidades. O chuveiro tinha água quente e o ar condicionado funcionava muito bem. A equipe foi um grande diferencial. Lucas nos atendeu muito bem, apresentou um mapa de Providência, indicou as principais regiões e passeios. Além disso, nos ajudou a fechar o passeios de barco e aluguel de mule, sempre disposto a nos auxiliar.

A localização é bem tranquila, ideal para quem busca estar em contato com a natureza. Porém, tivemos que realizar todos os deslocamentos com mule, pois não tem mercados ou restaurantes que acessamos caminhando.

Doris and César make you feel at home. Anything you need - from borrowing eggs to being able to rely on a emergency drive to the hospital – you are taken care of. It’s obvious that there is just as much care for their guests as there is creativity in the charming holiday homes and the flowery garden. It was lovely waking up surrounded by beautiful palm trees and cooking at home. Drinking water is provided and it was fantastic that the space was cleaned every day. Thank you for this special stay ❤️

The beach is further than 10min and than anticipated so better rent a scooter. Therefore it is nice and quiet most of the nights. There will be some insects but you will get those anywhere on the islands – the stow away boxes and big mosquito net are very useful.

This was our favourite property in 5 weeks of travelling. It was so cute and very very quiet. The photos don't do it justice. We loved it. The owners were very friendly and helpful but don't speak English, luckily we speak some Spanish. We could walk to Manzanilla beach but the best beach was South West Beach and loved El Divino Nino bar. You need a bike or buggy to get around which the owners organised for us as well as any trips you want to do.

Die abgeschiedene Lage in der Nähe vom sehr schönen Strand Manzanillo war prima. Das Bett in unserem Ferienhaus war bequem, Handtücher und auch Bettwäsche wurden regelmäßig gewechselt. Die Gastgeber waren anfänglich freundlich und haben uns gute Tipps für die Zeit auf Providencia gegeben.

Leider begann der Aufenthalt gleich schlecht: unsere Reservierung für das Ferienhaus wurde nicht respektiert, dafür wurden wir in eine beengte Bruchbude mit Wasserrohrschaden einquartiert. Andere Gäste waren noch in unserem Ferienhaus… wir konnten erst ein Tag später umziehen, was unschön war - dafür gab es keine Entschuldigung, sondern nur der Hinweis, dass man dachte, es würde uns im Haus 1 besser gefallen… eine kleine Entschädigung wurde uns dann nach Protest zugesprochen Leider sind alle Hütten sehr einfach ausgestattet, die Böden sind schwer sauber zu halten, überall Spinnweben. Die Küche ist Basic; Der Garten und das kleine Tauchbecken sind eigentlich hübsch angelegt, aber wenig gepflegt - da müsste mal ein guter Gärtner ran. Auch wenn die Unterkunft abgeschieden liegt, ist es dort ziemlich laut: umliegende Diskotheken mit lauter Musik, bellende Hunde und schreiende Hähne stören die Nachtruhe. Ohrstöpsel nicht vergessen!! Nach freundlicher Verabschiedung gab es dann noch einen Konflikt: wir sollten trotz vollständiger Überweisung auch der schlechten ersten Nacht noch einen weiteren Service bezahlen. Und dies erfolgte nach freundlicher Absage meinerseits extrem unhöflich und unverschämt. Ich kann daher die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen.

The property is managed by Doris and Ceasar - who are the most welcoming, friendly, courteous, and genuinely helpful people you could expect to meet on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean. Doris and Ceasar welcomed me personally and provided me with insights about the island, and helped me rent a 4x4 Kawasaki mule that was waiting for me when I arrived. Staying at Yellow Home on Providencia provides the experience of truly being away from the world - in a tropical sanctuary - a perfect “base” for exploring the island. Just up the road is Playa Manzanillo - one of the most spectacular beaches on the island, and the location of Roland’s Reggae Bar (which you can’t miss). The property has Starlink, which provides digital nomad’s or travel bloggers the opportunity to stay connected while remaining isolated in this island oasis. Aside from the absolute beauty of the property itself, the casitas afford the experience of genuine island living, which is a difficult thing to find as the Caribbean continues to become commercially developed. This property is the ultimate value on the island, and an opportunity to experience genuine island living.

There are roosters on nearby farms - so if you're a light sleeper in the early morning - bring some ear plugs.

The cabin was perfect with a comfortable bed and hammock. I loved that it had paintings by Doris on the walls. Doris and Cesar were lovely kind hosts. Also in an ideal location to do the hike to El Pico.

I didn't realise it was such a walk from restaurants - about 15 minutes up and down hill to the beach. It would be easier to have your own transport if staying here.....

Pas grand chose, seulement, je suis une grande adepte du petit déjeuner et si vous voulez le prendre en dehors du logement ( car pas compris) et bien c'est un petit peu loin. Environ 15 min en scooter

The owners Cesar and Doris could not be nicer people. If you need it, and it's reasonable, they will get it for you. This isn't Club Med, but if you want Club Med, Providencia isn't for you. It's a beautiful 10 square mile island with no "resorts", and God willing it will stay that way. The Yellow Home provides everything you need, but "Providencia" is about being out and about, not in the room. But you can cook in your room if you want, but this island has food that you only eat at home if it's raining...

Doris and Caesar are great hosts. The bungalow is nice and the garden lush, green and inviting.

Está súper cerca de la playa de manzanillo, del centro y del aeropuerto. Ellos nos ayudaron a gestionar el transporte y nos dieron todas las recomendaciones para que nuestros días en la isla fueran inolvidables

Totalmente recomendado. El lugar es hermoso, se nota el amor que le ponen al espacio y la atención a los detalles. Las cabañas están bien equipadas, las camas muy buenas y la limpieza es excelente . Doris y Cesar, los anfitriones, fueron más allá de todas las expectativas, ayudándonos con lo que necesitamos y con información muy apropiada y útil. Estuvieron dispuestos siempre a ayudarnos y esto, aparte de las buenas instalaciones, hizo que tuviéramos una experiencia increíble en la isla 🌴.

la nature que entoure les bungalow, la "gentillesse" des propriétaires, mais.......

l'équipements tres sommaire de la cuisine et de la salle de bain: seulement 2 petite serviette (oublie des serviette pour la douche?). Nous sommes repartis après la premiere nuit car il y a eu de la musique toute la nuit provenant des maison des habitants a coté de l'hôtel, impossible de dormir, nous avons attendu la propriétaire pour expliquer que nous ne pouvons pas rester a cause de la musique la nuit. La propriétaire des 4 nuit restants a voulu seulement ne rembourser 2 (sans trop discuter car je crois que connait bien le problème de la musique) et le jours apres on découvre que elle à déclaré sur Booking que nous ne nous étions jamais présentés à l'hôtel , chose inexacte car nous avons bien passé une nuit. (elle pouvait tres simplement modifier les dates de la reservation sans l'annuler completement!).....En faisant ça notre réservation était annulée, nous avons risque d'etre mal noté sur Booking pour la non presentation , nous ne pouvons pas noter l'hotel et la propriétaire ne paye aucune commission a Booking (moi j'ai aussi un hotel et je connais bien le règles de booking). Nous avons contacté Booking et nous avons corrigé la réservation. Nous avons pas apprécié le message par whatapp de la propietaire en suite de notre commentaire sur Booking, il nous accuse de mauvaise fois avec un ton tres désagréable.

We loved everything about this place. The little huts are located in a beautiful tropical garden. There’s a cute little outdoor pool. The owners Doris and César are lovely and welcoming hosts. César helped us book excursions and rent a scooter etc. We absolutely recommend this place.

Gorgeous, spotlessly clean with crisp linens and fluffy towels and superbly comfortable king size bed under a sumptuous mozzie net - this was just blissfully cozy, particularly on the nights that the rain poured down on the tin roof😊. Cesar and Doris were the most gracious and welcoming hosts. We loved this place.

We had an amazing stay at Yellow Home on Isla de Providencia! From the very first moment, Doris and César welcomed us like royalty. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel at home right away. They took care of all our activities with outstanding organization — snorkeling, hiking, island tour, buggy rental — everything was perfectly arranged and effortless. The place itself is full of charm, with its beautiful little cabins surrounded by nature, just a short walk from Playa de Manzanillo. It’s a peaceful, authentic, and truly special spot. We felt so comfortable and well taken care of — it really felt like home, only better. 💛 Huge thanks to Doris and César — we recommend 100%!

César y Doris son dos personas increíbles que están dispuestos a ayudarte en todo momento y te de buenísimas indicaciones de la isla. Nos vamos maravillados con la estancia en sus cabañas. La cabaña tiene todo lo necesario, cama muy cómoda y espaciosa con buena mosquitero. Lo recomendamos al 1000 por 1000 gracias por todo César y Doris!!

Lo único que no nos gustó fueron los zancudos que están por toda la isla pero contra eso poco se puede hacer😁

TODO. La atención de Doris y César es de esas que encuentras en muy, muy, muy pocos sitios. Atentos y haciendo que nuestra estancia fuese de 10. Si vienes a Providencia y no te alojas en su casa estás perdiendo el tiempo.

Niché au cœur d’un jardin tropical luxuriant, les jolies cabanes en bois, décorées avec goût et entourées de verdure, offrent un cocon intime et authentique. Nous avons aimé les lits avec moustiquaires, la Clim, la petite terrasse Une petite piscine invite à la détente, parfaite pour se rafraîchir après une journée d’exploration ou de plage. Mais ce qui rend le lieu vraiment unique, ce sont les hôtes Doris et Cesar, attentifs, chaleureux et toujours souriants. On se sent comme à la maison, dans une atmosphère à la fois conviviale et apaisante. Nous avons apprécié tous leurs conseils. Plein de caresses à Titina et Cristal la chienne et la chatte de la maison !

Un po’ difficile da trovare

Doris und Cesar sind wirklich super liebe Menschen. Sie haben sich wirklich sehr bemüht und wir konnten einen Roller direkt bei Ihnek mieten, sie haben sich um unser Taxi zum Flughafen gekümmert und auch die Wäsche konnten wir bei Ihnen waschen. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits, daher braucht es einen Roller. Aber damit ist man schnell überall wo man hin möchte. In der nähe ist ein schöner Strand. Zwar gibt es zum Baden schönere auf der Insel aber hier hat die Bar jeden Tag auch lange auf. Das ist nicht normal auf der Insel. Die Häuser sind relativ groß. Wir hatten 2 Doppelzimmer, sodass wir eines zum Schlafen als Paar nutzen konnten und das andere als "Ankleidezimmer". Es gibt so viel Trink-Wasser wie man möchte. Ebenso einen Kühlschrank und eine Küche mit Ausstattung. Klimaanlage funktionierte super! Wir hatten eine Wirklich tolle Zeit!

Es war alles wunderbar. Lediglich ein Pfannenwender für unser Omelette zum Frühstück hat uns gefehlt 😊

Providencia is very Basic therefore are the huts of yellow home also Basic but clean and with comfortable bed small kitchen and refridgerator. The owner is very kind and helps to organise everything- boottrips , Scooter… personal note : 9 the area is beautiful with nice plants and flowers

Es mucho más que un alojamiento. Nuestra casita era ideal, con una tranquilidad inmejorable y sin faltar de nada. Además tienen una pequeña piscina que hace que todo aún sea más perfecto. La localización es perfecta en un remanso de paz y vegetación. Y no puedo dejar de hacer una mención más que especial a Doris y César, los mejores anfitriones del mundo, están siempre pendientes de que estemos bien y no nos falte de nada pero siempre sin invadir nuestra intimidad, de verdad son unas personas maravillosas!! De hecho me han estado ayudando desde que hice la reserva muchos meses antes hasta para conseguir los vuelos a la isla. Y también era un gusto cada vez que decíamos por la isla donde estábamos alojados, todo eran buenos comentarios hacia ellos y sus alojamientos. Ojalá todos los alojamientos tuvieran una atención como este. Y evidentemente hay que añadir que Providencia es una maravilla, un paraíso que ojalá siempre se mantenga así!

Lo único que no me gustó es que se nos hizo demasiada corta la estancia. 😜

Camere molto carine situate in mezzo al verde. I proprietari Doris e Cesar sono stati eccezionali: gentilissimi e molto disponibili a aiutarci e consigliarci le attività da fare sull’isola.

Los dueños super atentos y amables. Entorno cuidado, bonito, tranquilo, cerca del río. El aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente. Gran detalle garrafa de agua potable.

No había ni cristal ni mosquiteras en las ventanas, con lo que todo el tiempo estabamos con las ventanas cerradas, sin ver el entorno (mosquitos infinitos). Cocina un poco incómoda.

Muy bien ubicado, a 3 minutos en moto de una de las playas más lindas y cerca de todo. El personal muy atento y pendiente de todo, te ayudan con todo. La cabaña es linda y está muy bien equipada con todo lo básico. Las camas cómodas y con aire acondicionado. La zona muy tranquila, hay música del barrio cercano pero apagan en la noche. Muy recomendado.

Siempre hay zancudos pero no es solo en el hotel, es en toda la isla.

Das Hotel Yellow Home ist so wunderschön, weil es sehr ruhig gelegen ist. Man ist umgeben von unberührter Natur. Mit dem Motorroller sind alle wichtigen Punkte der Insel leicht und schnell erreichbar. Playa Manzanillo mit der legendären Roland's Reggae Bar ist gleich um die Ecke. Es gibt nur vier Hütten auf dem Gelände, sodass insgesamt sehr große Ruhe herrscht. Alles ist SEHR sauber und mit Liebe für's Detail hergerichtet. Der Gastgeber, Don César, ist immer anwesend und für Fragen ansprechbar. Mein Fazit: 10/10. Jederzeit wieder.

The little house has everything you could ever need and the staff was absolutely amazing, they could not have been more helpful. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay in the island.

Because the house is all wood, the soundproofing isn’t great. When we were there, there was some festival in town and the music was so loud until early hours of the morning. It was not even close to the property and there was nothing they could do to avoid it but you could hear everything and it’s was impossible to sleep. Thankfully it was just one night.

Yellow Home is such a special place. The hosts, Doris and César, are some of the warmest people we ever met, and they made us feel very comfortable and cared for, at the same time as we had full privacy. We stayed in two different cabañas and both were super cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The AC worked well, and we had hot water and drinking water. The surrondings are stunning, with a garden full of flowers and the view of a lush hillside with palmtrees, that you can enjoy from the pool. The location is great, close to a supermarket and Manzanillo beach. It's one of our absolute favourite places and we really hope to be back one day.

It has a mini kitchen with a refrigerator, and 2 gas burners but a toaster would have been nice.

Wonderful attention to detail. Simply but thoroughly appointed. The owners Doris and Carlos were friendly attentive and exceedingly helpful. Great location close to a village and the best beach on the island. A wonderful place to come home to at night after adventuring all day. We enjoyed the friendly dog and cat on the property as well as the chickens running around.

The owners Cesar and Doris are so kind and helpful, and really made the stay. They have really put down some effort to make this place what it is. They helped us organize snorkeling, scooter rental and everything else that we needed help with. 10 minute walk from the closest beach.

The hosts do not speak english, even if it says so in the description. The road can be difficult for a motorbike, you need to know how to drive. The cabin can get really hot and moist during the day. The swimming pool area could use a bit of uplift.

The place is a little peaceful oasis, perfect location close to the beach (10) minutes walk, Doris and Cesar are very special people, very polite and nice couple always willing to help, the best vacation of my life....The hotel, the people, and the island it's magical.

Unfortunately we were not able to use the pool during our stay as there was some issues but they have been resolved now so other guests will enjoy it I'm sure! 😊

Cesar and his wife Doris are great hosts and offer authentic hospitality. They help whereever they can. They rent bikes and motorbikes at reasonable prices. The rooms are cleaned every day. The garden is a paradise of silence, with a little pool to refresh. The kitchen has every equipment you need, even to prepare yourself a breakfast or meal. The rooms have a perfect mosquito protection and air condition. We enjoyed the silence every day and will be back by chance. Definetly one of our best accomodation during the entire travels in Columbia.

Beautiful cabana in a gorgeous green location near Manzanillo beach. Has everything you need - kitchen, full bathroom, mosquito nets and comfortable bed and linens. Felt like a real treat staying here. The hosts are absolutely lovely too.

Everything was wonderful, right from the lovely greeting, right through to the personal send-off at the airport. Such wonderful hosts- I felt like family.

Wonderful bungalows, with a very personal touch by Doris' paintings and quite practical (especially the drinking water and the mosquito net). Doris and Caesar are wonderful hosts and take care of everything you need. They put a lot of love into the apartments. We can only recommend and felt very welcome and at home. Also we liked the location in the south of the island! I was a bit scared of the mosquitos but when we were there there were hardly any!

The owners, Doris and Cesar, are so very nice, friendly, and helpful. We spent a lot of time chatting with them, swapping stories and photos. They made us feel right at home and were always available to answer our questions. And Yellow Home is close to Manzanillo Bay, the nicest beach on the island.

Cesar and Doris were fantastic and added lots of personal touches. The local knowledge Cesar shared made our stay so much better. We really appreciated his time and guidance. The house was extremely clean and decorated beautifully with amazing artwork :) They also organised a buggy for us at a great price and our taxis. There were excellent cooking facilities and mosquite nets. The beds were very comfy!! There was plenty of drinkable water provided in our rooms. We loved everything!

The hosts were extremely nice. They welcomed us with coffee and then Cesar sat with us to explain us what to do in the island, and offered to arrange the different tours. We had already things booked so it was not necessary. The beds were really comfortable, the sheets were soft and there was hot water in the bathroom, which was really great to have at night. The kitchen was small but had all you need for a simple breakfast, the host gave borrowed some salt and pepper for the eggs.

The whole place is beautiful and super well-maintained. The cabins are clean and confortable. Water runs smoothly everywhere and the pool was a great experience for the kids in the evening. Doris and Cesar, the hosts, are extremely helpful and kind. They give the best advice for things to do. I highly recommend staying at Yellow Home.

We loved that we had everything we needed to cook, comfortable beds, A/C, mosquito nets, warm water, drinking water It was quiet and off the main road. Building were new and very clean. Could walk to the beach and Roland’s Bar. Host Cesar was amazing and helped us in so many ways we can’t even list them.

Screens on windows would be nice so we could have to windows open more often without mosquitos entering.

Great, beautiful freshly build house. Amazing to see how quickly and beautifully this place was rebuild after the 2020 hurricane. Hot showers, comfy bed and adequate kitchen. There is an AC in the bedroom. Cabins are situated on one of the best corners of the island. One of the great beaches with some nice bars and places to eat is a 15 min walk. It is pleasantly quiet at Yellow Home while the action is close by. Cesar and Doris are amazing hosts, taking time to help us arrange and plan our stay. Water was on the house. I would advise to rent a scooter, golf cart or bike (Cesar can help you with this) because taxis are notoriously slow and the island is to big to explore all on foot. Make a trek to the peak, eat some crab and take a dive! In just a few days, we fell in love with the island and it all started with Yellow Home.

We stayed in the Yellow house for over a week and cannot recommend it enough! We also stayed elsewhere but we both agree this is the best accommodation in Providencia. The hosts Cesar and Doris along with their lovely dog Tina and the staff Cynthia showed us great hospitality and made us feel like home. They are really nice and lovely and helpful people! We stayed at two out of the three cabanas and they are all thoughtfully designed, great for solo, couple or family. The cabanas have so many storage spaces, have nice fan and good AC and hot water. There is a beautiful garden with mountain view and a small dipping pool and sun beds. It is a quiet location as well you cannot hear the road or motorbikes although occasional there is music on the weekend which is unavoidable in the island. The hosts also provide us with drinking water for all of our stay which is very much appreciated. The beach is within walking distance and a well stocked shop is about 15 minute walk away. Do not hesitate and you won’t regret it!

We’ve absolutely loved our stay here! Everything is new, clean, works perfectly and it’s just absolutely beautiful! Doris & Cesar are the most welcoming hosts ever! They always had time for a chat and helped us with everything we needed! Me and my friend have both been travelling for 6 months and never experienced such hospitality! We can definitely recommend staying here and want to come back!
