Phong Nam Station

The owner was sooooo friendly and the place is gorgeous. So quiet and in a beautiful valley. The beds are really comfortabele. We stayed one extra night to discover the surroundings and just relax.

Phong Nam Station is set in a beautiful location. It's a quiet and sustainable accommodation and the owners are very kind. We had a good chat with Dung and he helped us with anything we needed. It also has hand pulled espresso for any of you coffee addicts out there. Our only regret is not staying for more than one night.

Amazing location and easy to communicate with the host through whatsapp in English. Friendly staff and breathtaking views to wake up to every morning. They provide simple home cooked meals.

Wow! We did the Cao Bang loop self-guided and the view from this guesthouse's garden was better than most of our trip. This is the kind of place you book for the view and surroundings. It's very peaceful and we would have happily spent an extra day here just hanging out and admiring the view. It's also the gateway to a stunning and very underrated valley in the Cao Bang region. The rooms were simple, but clean, and did the job. The host was able to accommodate our vegan diet for dinner and breakfast. It had surprisingly fast wifi given the remote location. We even met someone working remotely while staying there, which is a great idea. We would highly recommend people stay here when doing the Cao Bang loop or visiting Ban Gioc Waterfall. We wish we could have stayed an extra day!

Such an amazing homestay in the most beautiful and peaceful valley I’ve ever been to. It was a dream waking up to the beautiful scenery and sounds of birds chirping. The owner went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed, including arranging transport and a scooter rental.

Such an amazing place! So quiet and in the middle of nature. The food was sooooo good. Great coffee and breakfast in the morning and homemade dinner 🍽️ the owners are super nice, we had dinner together, did a tour to the village, he recommended a hike in the area and gave us some good advice for our route after the stay. Would definitely come again.

A lovely place in the nature with nice vieuws.

I'll be honest. Little bit shocked on first arrival. The entire grounds are in bad shape and it's messy. Lots of stuff that should not be visible for guests. Room is bare bones. Bathroom could be a lot cleaner. However. Location and view are unmatched. Price more than fair. Food - amazing and fresh. Easy 10 if the grounds are better kept and the rooms are upgraded (maybe a table for your luggage to start with). Be aware that you will need either access to your own transport or you will need to have owner arrange taxis for you (which he is more than willing to accommodate!!)

We had a really amazing time here! Beautiful location, very good home cooked food and super friedly people! My boyfriend got sick and they helped us with medicine, extra food for him and let us check out late. Thank you again!

The host was really helpful, he helped us get a bus to Cat Ba and told us what to avoid seeing during the bad weather. Breakfast was pretty good, and the location was incredible! You definitely want a motorbike to get around. It was so close to the waterfall with amazing villages to drive through! Rooms were really big and comfortable

Location. Accommodated special dietary needs.

The walls are paper thin and the (great) dogs sleep right on the other side and barked throughout the night, making it very hard to sleep. Not acceptable, especially for the price.

Great location in the beautiful valley, great food, most peaceful and calm place I stayed at in Vietnam

I was there in December, which was very cold. Unfortunately the room wasn’t isolated and there was no heater, so the room was super cold. But the staff gave us extra blankets so the sleep was warm, just the room was super cold.

Phong Nam Station is a one of a kind place you won't find anywhere else in Cao Bang district. You feel inbetween as a customer and a part of the group. You can have your own privacy in the big rooms with the stunning view on the river and the mountain and fish, eat drink and have fun with the owner and his friends and family. AND the dogs ! animals here are free and happy. Dogs are so friendly and playful puppies. They bark at you and realize they actually want to be friend with you so they come to cuddle and play. You also can rent a motorbike to visit the amazing peaceful surroundings, waterfalls everywhere, people living a simple life, children chearing you with big smiles and screaming "HELLOOO" when you pass by. At night when came back to Phong Nam station and had dinner with everybody and had a very fun night, trying vietnamese food, eat the fish caught from the river. Would definitely recommend staying here

Maybe adding some furniture in the rooms to put bags and clothes. The shared bathrooms have some webs around. Even though spider are very very invasive it could be nice to clear up the webs a bit more often but otherwise the bathroom is spotless clean.

Beautiful location- the nature surrounding the place is breathtaking! The owner is super friendly, they even made us a vegetarian dinner with loads of delicious plates of food. Also very cute puppies that love to cuddle! Had a great time, thank you so much!

They had a cute small bird, but it was in a tiny cage- maybe the could find a bigger cage for it to stay in (or set it free if I is a local species).

The place is rustic, but that was completely expected. Everything was as advertised. The food was great and we had a great night stay for a "steal" of a price.

Everything. I've always loved Phong Nam valley since I first visited the place back in 2020-2021. Being able to sleep right there, at Phong Nam Station is just incredible. The owner, Dung, is an incredibly nice person. His place is beautiful and comfy, with an unbeatable view. Driving around the area is the best, above all if you are into photography. There are rice fields everywhere and, if you visit in September, you'll be able to see people harvesting these fields. Locals are super friendly. Definitely a place I'll stay at again next year. Highly recommended!
