Blue Raven Resort

For me, this was great. I did not want to stay at a big resort. I wanted something quiet and more private and relaxing, so Blue Raven was amazing! My little cottage was perfect size, good amenities, very comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Nice desk so I could use my laptop. Hot shower. Wifi was not good the first night, but after that, it was good. Staff super amazing and breakfast GREAT and big portion! View of the sea amazing.

Nothing - the road is very rocky which is more difficult on my small motorbike, but other than that, the place is very ideal.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce petit coin de Paradis. Le personnel est adorable. Nous avions le logement familial avec la vue mer qui est à couper le souffle. Un bonheur! Nous avons même prolongé notre séjour de 2 nuits supplémentaires, tellement nous nous y sentions bien. Je recommande très vivement !

La petite crique en bas des escaliers. La gentillesse du personnel. Nous étions tous seuls lors de notre séjour.. Le petit-déj’ est excellent!

C’est un peu isolé et il faut absolument avoir un scooter. Ce n’est pas un problème, les propriétaires en louent. La musique de l’hôtel d’à côté est un peu pénible et vient gâcher la notre tranquillité.

La taille du logement la localisation près de la falaise et le petit accès à la "plage" lorsque vous descendez les escalier à gauche vous avez accès à une belle petite plage où il n'y a pas grand monde. le jardin et la vue sur l'océan les équipements de la chambre juste en bas du chemin de l'hotel, nous avons trouvé un chauffeur de Tuktuk très sympathique qui nous a conduit où nous voulions tout au long de notre séjour

un peu excentré par rapport à Anda (mais très accessible 5/10 minutes en Tuktuk) le petit déjeuner est très long a arriver (un peu comme partout aux philippines) pas de possibilité de se restaurer sur place le midi ou le soir, donc obligé d'aller sur Anda où il y a tout ce qu'il faut

Value for money the place is decent. If they would take care of It a bit more, It could be a great place.

The location is good; you can rent a scooter, and the staff was friendly.

We had the large room, there was mold in the air conditioner, the bedroom had a very musty smell, and the bathroom was completely rusty. A renovation is definitely needed.

Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich.

Die Lage ist nur mit Auto oder Roller okay, sonst zu weit Weg von allem anderen. Zudem gibt es sehr viele Mücken auf dem Grundstück. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein.

I had the large 3 bedroom cabin with an amazing view over the water. Very large, comfortable cabin.

It really is a homestay. You're on your own for food so plan ahead and make sure you have a car or scooter to get into town for groceries and such.

De locatie vlak aan een mooie baai is prachtig. Ontbijt was goed verzorgd.

Eigenlijk is dit hotel vergane glorie. De foto's matchen totaal niet meer met hoe het hotel er werkelijk bij ligt. Je kan zien dat er geen liefde meer gegeven wordt aan de accomodatie, geen onderhoud, tuin is niet netjes, mooie plekjes met uitzicht zijn niet verzorgd. Dit zie je aan rommeltjes overal in de tuin, afbladerende verf overal etc. Kamer was ruim met goede airco maar daar is het ook mee gezegd. Voelde niet schoon aan, mogelijks ook door de sterk verouderde badkamer. Deze is zeer klein, als je doucht is ook alles nat incl. houten deur die onderaan duidelijk aan het rotten is door de vochtigheid. Wij hadden een kaartje gehangen aan de deurklink van de kamer om deze schoon te maken maar dit was niet gebeurd. Ze waren dit zogezegd vergeten terwijl er in totaal maar 3 kamers zijn en doen enkel ontbijt, geen lunch of diner. Toegangsweg naar het hotel is goed tot aan de oprijlaan van het hotel zelf: echt een puinweg. Er heerste ook geen prettige sfeer in het hotel, leek echt verlaten te zijn. Overall dus zeer teleurgesteld. Mits grondig onderhoud en opfrissing zou dit een pareltje kunnen zijn maar dat is het nu zeker dus niet.

We enjoyed that the property was quiet and well kept.

Meals limited to breakfast only. We had a nice laugh the morning we did order breakfast. The toast served was so hard neither of us could break it in half with our hands... we couldn't help but laugh.

Sehe schöne Zimmer in den Bungalows, niedliches Restuarant mit sehr gutem Frühstück. Direkt an den Klippen, guter einstieg zum Schnorcheln.

Leider hatte es keine Liegen, und der Garte. Ist eher klein. Die Fotos sollten altualisiert werden. Übers Wochenende sind sehr viele Einheimische vor dem Hotel im Meer imd belegen auch die einzigen Sitzmöglichkeiten.

We like the direct access to the sea, quiet place. Staff are kind and helpful.

Bathroom a bit small. Musty smell comes from the Ac, need some maintenance with wood insects as droppings gets on the bed.

Séjour très agréable dans l’ensemble, mais le prix est un peu élevé et la salle de bain mériterait un meilleur nettoyage/ entretien. Quelques petites améliorations rendraient l’expérience parfaite.

Photos sur booking tres flatteuses vs la réalité. Hotel en manque d’entretien et de nettoyage. Plage devant l’hôtel très rocheuse donc difficilement accessible. Pas de cuisinier, il faut aller dans un hôtel voisin qui appartient au même groupe. Et très loin de tout : 3h30 depuis l’aéroport, 2h des chocolate hills et tarsiers… bref déplacements très chers et longs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and kind . It was close to the ocean . Everything worked in the room .

The property was not as advertised . There was no restaurant on the property since there was no Cook . Maybe because it was end of season . Breakfast was available , but I didn’t try it . It’s far out of the way to get to other restaurants in walking distance. Garbage was burnt in the side yard and you couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the evening. There was music, playing till late at night in neighbouring establishments The beach below was actually a public beach that was at times very noisy. The property looked a bit rundown. Out of the three nights I booked I only stayed one and then I went somewhere else. no refund possible. The bed was too soft for my taste . And I didn’t like that the shower was right in the tiny bathroom ,you would get everything wet in the bathroom.

Access to the beach right at the back of the property. 10 minutes from town but they had scooter hire and it’s a nice ride through the town. Wifi was great, smart tv with Netflix in the room. Beach was one of the best beaches I have ever seen, just beautiful. Staff were really nice and helped us get to Cebu on an election day. Room was great, deck, comfy bed, good pillows and a desk.

Nice location, close to the sea (possibility to swim but no real beach on which you can lay down) Quiet area Good breakfast!

Bathroom was very dirty (dirty tiles in the shower, used glasses near the sink) Limited space to relax (no sun chair on their terrasse unlike what's shown on the pictures) Dinner at night wasn't very good : fish was well overcooked, not very tasty and limited portions.

The ambiance of the place is good and peaceful. Its location is just beside the beach and it is very accessible.

The entrance road going to the resort is rocky and the resort signage is confusing.

This small resort has several buildings/cottages. We rented a whole house overlooking the ocean. This must be the most beautiful place in this small resort. If you want a modern resort, this one is not for you. However, if you love nature, art, traditional timber buildings and atmosphere, then this is paradise.

The house is designed very cheaply (old smelly very loud AC unit, super cheap foam bed (not good for sleeping), very basic bathroom (smells of sewer in the morning, shower head a piece of junk, design of it is very cheap). Kitchen not useable to cook, little basic amenities, small things broken or not in good repair, floor rotten.

Amazing location at lovely, quiet beach. We snorkelled and there were many fish to see. Friendly and helpful staff. Access road was easy to find and in good condition. Good rooms by Anda standards. We’d love to stay again.

One of the staff members was sweeping just outside our unit in the morning, this woke us and could have been avoided. We do appreciate the fact that they wanted to clear the path for us though.

The Blue Raven Resort is a wonderful gated exclusive experience. The small privately owned, well-cared-for resort is delightful for the weary traveler. Patterned after the native cultures, with a touch of modern conveniences you certainly don’t want to miss this place. Access to the ocean is just a few steps beyond the small guest-only cafe, and the water is clear and beautiful. Our last thoughts about the Blue Ravin Resort, book your stay early so you will have a chance to enjoy this unique experience.

Sometimes it’s booked up and you will miss a wonderful experience.

Jan! She is one of three managers and was top notch professional. One of our tires went flat in the market but she sent a local team to change them within an hour! Ann! She cleaned our house everyday and helped us with every little detail. Lyhn and Iza, the two other managers were also super kind and friendly. Thank you ladies, you made our stay, well, very much bearable!

There is an unequivocal rot in the whole house. The roof actually leaked, termite mounds would form each morning, wash basin and water heating broken, air conditioners rumble like tractors. The attentive staff fixed the basin and the heater but what could they do about the roof and termites? Management lacked detail. We had to ask for mosquito coils, in-house flip flops, foot mats, extra toilet paper, and key to the room. We had to ask for them. We had to ask to have the basin and heater fixed. No! They should’ve been provided without our asking!

Good customer service and very accommodating staff. Remote place.

It is remote hence it is far from shops or restaurants although there are two convenience stores within walking distance. To get a ride to the town center, you have to walk far which is not easy under the scorching sun. There is no beach below the hotel but a rocky passage to a nearby beach. There is a Karaoke bar in one of the convenience stores and you can hear hard singing until 10 pm. There was a festival in a neighbouring area and you can hear hard music late at night.

Excellent customer service and very accommodating staff. The rooms are clean and spacious. Nice beach front location.

The food menu at the restaurant are limited.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, big enough bedroom for a family of four. We were able to go for snorkeling just few steps from the hotel property and saw different kinds of fish.

The CCTV has an annoying sound, maybe it can be turned off?

The room is super comfortable and clean, one of the best we have had in our trip. Blue Raven is located right next to the ocean, a little far away from restaurants and dive shops but they have motorbikes for rent in the premises.

We had many house lizards in our room. The lizards 1. Waked us up in the night with their calling noises. And 2. The lizards where in the ceiling so when they pooped it would fall on the bed and floor. Once I was laying in the bed and poop fell right next to my face.

The view was beautiful and it was great having private access to the beach. The food they serve was good and the space felt very private.

The animals around were noisy through the night so our friends didn't sleep well. When sleeping, just use the aircon to muffle outside noise.

Breakfast - not free. But the menu was great at the time. Although some some were not available. Still they did their best to provide us with what they had. Location - serene and private. It's what I didn't expect but loved it more. Services - Excellent, courteous and prompt. Bathroom is huge and clean. Amenities, including Wi-Fi, electricity and clean water is 100% available.

Beautiful location, exceptionally friendly and fun staff, the room itself was spacious.

The bathroom was rather small and as there was no shower cabin everything (toilet/sink) got wet while showering. The whole room was very big, so personally I’d make a bigger bathroom to avoid the above mentioned problem.

We had breakfast only once, but decided to cook our own. but the staff were all really helpfull at all times.

definately the king size bed needs a better mattress...the mattress was soo thin that i had to take the sofa and seating mattress to try and sleep....also i was not at all happy with a security camera following us around inside the house 24/7...so i rnded up putting a towel over it whilst we were there.

The food is very good and the service also, the location is quite tricky a few more sign for directions will improve it. The entrance to the resort is quite tight for larger vehicle but it can be improve, generally it was a relaxing stay.

We can improve the directional signage, the Entrance and the parking. Those can be improve and hopefully they can expand soon to accommodate more guest in the days to come. More power to Blue Raven Resort.

The staff is very friendly and polite but super slow and a little confused. At least that's how it felt. Everything takes so much time to prepare and you can experience weird situations like getting server half of the breakfast 30 min later than the first half or when we ordered 4 mango smoothies, 2 of them were great, one already so so and the last one was no mango but almost only youghurt as you tell by the color. So you wait 30+ mim for the smoothie and no one finds it weird to serve food like this. A tip to the owners would be to work even more with the staff to eliminate this. We were fine but more demandind guests would be quite pissed, I can imagine.

Location is quite tricky to locate but the locals are very helpful, the place is very quiet with beautiful garden like atmosphere overlooking the picturesque rocky cliff below.

The wifi and phone signal is almost zero, there must have some solution to this problem like Elon star links.

A good well looked-after hut. All good quality. Easy to find and pleasant gardens. It is a beautiful spot right on the cliffs over the sea with steps down onto a rocky beach. Once on the beach, it is a short walk (25 meters) around some rocks to the left to a sandy beach for sitting, swimming and with boats for hire for snorkelling. The sandy beach is not accesable at high tide, but then you can walk around 200 meters around the back to get to it. Best breakfast this year! The French Press coffee was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a great location to eat on the patios looking out over the sea. The gardens are exceptional... beautiful plants and planting... very artistic.

There are a few dogs that are over-friendly if you don't like dogs ;-) But otherwise, this is a TOP CHOICE to stay and I look forward to going there again when the weather is better.

Great location. Felt private and exclusive.

Main gate to enter is usually closed and often took time for someone to come open it. 2 smaller gates inside that had to be locked at all times as well. It felt a bit cumbersome to come and go and move through the resort with all these gates.

Staff who are very friendly and helpful and really help you with everything.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! From the warm welcome, through amazing dinner and the cherry on the top was a delicious and affordable breakfast with unforgettable view! The personnel was extremely friendly and helpful even though we arrived late in the evening! The apartment is big, very clean and with all facilities you may need during your stay! I wish we spend here more time!
