The stuff is super friendly and helpful. The food was great and plenty. The room was clean, comfortable and pretty luxurious considering that you are in the desert. I had a private bathroom and an AC. You can walk just a few minutes into the desert and enjoy spectacular views over the sand dunes.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber haben alles getan, damit wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt haben. Wir waren Mitte September dort und hatten zum Glück ein Zelt mit Klimaanlage. Man kann dort zusätzliche Unternehmungen buchen. Die sanitären Anlagen waren sehr gut und sauber. Auch das Brett war sehr angenehm. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!

Safari ve deve konusunda yardımcı oldular. Oda temiZdi, yemekler lezzetliydi. Tüm çalışanlar güleryüzlü ve nazikti. Gıda alerjisi olan çocuklarımın yemeklerinde de onlara uygun yiyecek yaptılar. Çok güzel bir deneyimdi.

Absolutely unforgettable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This desert camp was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Tunisia. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with incredible hospitality and made to feel like part of the family. The location is simply magical — surrounded by endless dunes and the breathtaking silence of the Sahara. Watching the sunset over the desert and experiencing the night under the stars was something we will never forget. Everything was perfectly organized, and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. The camp itself was beautiful, authentic, comfortable, and perfectly integrated into the desert environment. The activities were fantastic, the atmosphere was unforgettable, and the food was delicious. But what really made this place special were the people — incredibly kind, friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about giving their guests an authentic Sahara experience. If you are visiting Tunisia and want to experience the real magic of the desert, this is the place to go. We came as visitors and left with memories that will stay with us forever. Highly recommended — an absolute must-do experience! We would come back again without hesitation. ❤️🏜️🐪

Très bel endroit pour découvrir le désert facilement sur notre chemin entre Djerba/Chenini et Tozeur. nous avons été surclassés dans une tente avec climatisation et salle de bains très confortable. Nous avons choisi un tour en dromadaire à notre arrivée pour le coucher de soleil, dîner très bien organisé avec une petite animation de musique, cheval, et pain au sable, endroit très calme. Facile d accès en voiture, wifi et boissons disponibles sur place. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Proposition de bivouac dans le désert possible en s adressant à l avance.

Le lieu est incroyable , l’accueil, la disponibilité du personnel. Le repas,la soirée et les animations sont dépaysantes. Les tentes sont propres,confortables.nous avons vécu une expérience unique

Expérience superbe avec staff très sympa et aux petits soins, possibilité de faire différentes activités et découvrir un peu la culture. Chambre très clean et agréable avec la clim. Pas une expérience authentique mais parfait pour des familles / premières expériences dans le désert.

The dinner with music was excellent. The dinner was tasty and one of the best meals I had in Tunisia. I had a two-bedroom room with a private bathroom, and the bathroom was clean and very nice considering it is in the middle of the desert. The staff was very accommodating; two camels didn't arrive on time for our camel ride, and we were offered a free ATV ride so we didn't miss the sunrise.

Esperienza magnifica! Noi siamo arrivati al Camp con una normalissima utilitaria, è vicinissimo a Douz. Siamo a tati accolti da Ahmed, persona gentilissima che parla un ottimo inglese e con cui è piacevolissimo chiacchierare (ci ha anche fatto accarezzare il suo Fennec quando tutti gli altri ospiti erano già partiti dopo la colazione del giorno seguente). Tende all' avanguardia con condizionatore e bagno in camera addirittura piastrellato (meglio di molte case in cui abbiamo soggiornato nelle medine). C'è anche il WiFi!Cena abbondante che viene anticipata da uno spettacolo di musica, acrobati a cavallo e cottura del pane sotto la sabbia. Dalla grande duna si ammira un tramonto spettacolare dove è possibile sedersi e bere del thè caldo. La notte si può rimanere seduti attorno al falò ad ammirare le stelle. Di certo non è l'avventura spartana nel mezzo del deserto con tende e accampamenti senza luce e acqua, ma un villaggio stabile vicino alla città che si trova comunque nel deserto del Sahara. Ahmed è stato sicuramente un punto di forza per la nostra esperienza!

Excelente opção para dormir no deserto, foi uma verdadeira surpresa. Os funcionários tiveram todo o cuidado em garantir uma estadia confortável, foram impecáveis e sempre disponíveis. Há várias surpresas ao longo da noite e o jantar ao luar é incrível.

Equipe é muito prestativa, solicita e realmente cuidam do hóspede! Instalações são muito boas para um acampamento no deserto. Atividades oferecidas também são muito boas.

Personnel très accueillant et exceptionnel, s’assure de notre confort tout au long du séjour! Quelques activités incluent très intéressantes comme pain typique sur le feu, danses autour du feu ou snowboard dans le sable.

Gros groupe corporatif présent, enlevant l’aspect calme et zen qu’on retrouve généralement dans le désert. Bien sûr, le personnel était davantage occupé avec ce groupe, donc les autres voyageurs étaient mis de côté légèrement.

Situation au milieu de désert exceptionnelle. Promenade de dromadaire extraordinaire avec Ali. Personnel très gentil.

Le personnel est magnifique, l'ambiance aussi. Il faut essayer la balade en chameau et les quad, il faut pas rater. Merci a tous pour cette belle expérience. Mention spéciale au Monsieur qui travaille le soir quo s'habille en rouge et au propriétaire aussi 😊

The staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. Shoutout to the owner for being very nice and helpful especially. The location is amazing right at the edge of the dunes (slightly smaller dunes). We spent one night and they had nice activities like dromedary riding, quad tour, little sandsurfing from the dunes, music in the evening. The sun sets beautifully over the dunes.

Be aware that the sandsurfing is from smaller dunes so it’s not very spectacular as you might imagine in your head :). The music is live instruments so it is very loud if it is played next to you during the evening. If you don’t like this take seats away from the fire. There are many other tourists because it is a camp for tourists, so if you are looking for a more private way to experience the true culture do a more private multi-day tour. Still I recommend for sure!

Todo fue excelente, a 40 minutos de Douz, fácil acceso, muy buena bienvenida de Nayer, habiendo llegado temprano en la tarde. La vista de las dunas, la cena excelente, todo limpio, funcionaba correctamente todo, el personal siempre con una sonrisa. El silencio en la noche. Lo recomendamos ampliamente! No lo duden!

Do it, you will not regret it. Especially the dinner and the evening show was great. You can easily access the camp by normal car, only the last meters are a little bit sandy.

Location incantevole alle porte del deserto.Ospitalità, accoglienza e gentilezza da parte di tutto lo staff. Abbiamo alloggiato in una tenda superior rispetto a quella prenotata, pulita e confortevole dotata di bagno privato.I pasti erano molto buoni e abbondanti, tutto sopra le aspettative.Super consigliato!

La struttura si presenta a poca distanza da Douz, in posizione molto comoda da raggiungere in una normale automobile. Al nostro arrivo, il personale che ci ha accolti ha fatto un po’ di confusione con le tende prenotate. Tuttavia, il proprietario della struttura è stato estremamente gentile e comprensivo, ci ha risolto immediatamente ogni problema mettendoci subito a nostro agio. La struttura prevede molte soluzioni diverse sulla base delle proprie necessità: noi abbiamo optato per una tenda con bagno privato annesso, comprensivo di quattro posti letto totali. Qualsiasi sia la soluzione prenotata, questa include sempre la mezza pensione con cena e colazione. La struttura offre molti servizi: tour in cammello, tour in 4x4, tour in quad etc. Tutto può essere prenotato all’arrivo. Prima della cena è allestito ogni sera uno spettacolo comprensivo di balli, canti e show con i cavalli.

Probabilmente migliorare la comunicazione a distanza tramite app.

Une expérience à vivre au moins une fois dans sa vie. Le lieu est top la tente confortable nous avons très bien dormi et n’avons pas eu froid du tout. Vivre ce réveil aux portes du désert avec un calme absolu et un paysage à couper le souffle. Nous avons passée une belle soirée rythmée au coin du feu avec des animations et un repas délicieux et copieux. Le petit déjeuner est plus classique mais suffisant.

Nous avons été oublié pour le petit thé d’accueil il va nous donc falloir revenir 😁

I expected no electricity and no water for shower before, but it turned out everything was available. The camp is also accessible by a normal car

Es gab eine Pferdeshow, die wir so aufgrund des Tierwohls nicht unterstützen. Die Tanz/Gesang-Show hätte als Unterhaltung gereicht.

Queres desierto del Sahara? Este es el lugar. Impresionante!!!! Subir a las dunas y mirar el atardecer fue de las mejores cosas del viaje. El personal super amable, baile y show increíbles. De fácil acceso con cualquier auto (no hay que ponerse nerviosos si ven un poco de arena).

Una latita de cerveza no hubiera estado mal. Igualmente se entiende la diferencia cultural.

Le personnel ne comprends pas toujours les demandes malheureusement. Pas fan du spectacle musique / démonstrations, c'était un peu long et très artificiels à mon gout.

Lieux insolite aux portes du désert où l’on peut apercevoir le coucher de soleil sur les dunes. Des animations le soir avec musique et spectacle. Des tentes plutôt confortable pour le lieu. Un repas copieux. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !

Le repas du soir (très bon) a été expédié en 30 minutes et les assiettes débarrassées alors que nous avions à peine fini. Le petit déjeuner est trop minimaliste pour le prix (en gros pain, œuf, fromage, confiture , part de gâteau et boissons chaudes).

Breakfast and dinner were acceptable though not outstanding. Being in the dessert was fun. However, Tunisia has a major problem with plastic pollution with plastic bags being blown into the dessert even though, theoretically, shops are no longer supposed to be providing customers with them since the law came into effect some 10 years ago!

The plastic pollution. The fact that our doors did not lock made us less secure concerning our personal property. The evening show was not that impressive. The music played was not very appealing while the stunts performed by the horsemen were not really appreciated due to poor lighting. I am sure, however, that he was very talented. We had already been in a similar camp in Dubai a couple of years previously and so had a point of comparison.

It was truly wonderful. Right in the middle of the desert, exactly as shown in the photos. Since we arrived late, we missed part of the activities, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the way, our car got stuck in the sand, and within just two minutes they sent a vehicle from the camp to assist us, which was incredibly kind. The camp’s location is really unique. Waking up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the endless desert is unforgettable. The rooms were comfortable and cozy.

The only downside was the breakfast, which was a bit limited and could have been better.

Sehr gute Lage am Rand der Sahara Die Unterkunft ist sehr komfortabel (wir hatten Dusche und WC im Zimmer ebenso wie eine Klimaanlage). Es handelt sich weniger um ein Camp als um kleine Häuser am Rand der Sahara. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Abendessen war ein festes Menü (Fleisch zur Vor- und Hauptspeise). Vorab wurde nicht nach Ernährung/Unverträglichkeiten gefragt. Als Veganerin konnte ich von dem vorgesehenen Menü nichts essen, man hat aber versucht mir eine Alternative zu servieren (war dann aber leider auch nicht vegan sondern ein Omelette). Ich hatte mit einem Buffet gerechnet. Bei einem festen Menü sollte man die Gäste vl vorher nach Ernährungsgewohnheiten/Unverträglichkeiten fragen, insbesondere auch weil nicht jeder (Lamm-)Fleisch isst/mag. Es gab zur Unterhaltung uA eine Aufführung mit einem Pferd. Ich konnte das nicht Ansehen. Die Darbietung grenzt an Tierquälerei bzw. ist meines Erachtens Tierquälerei. Das Pferd war ganz offenbar nicht gut trainiert und der Reiter auch nicht entsprechend qualifiziert. Andere Touristen hatten damit auch ein Problem, ich war nicht die einzige Person, die diese Darbietung vorzeitig verlies und protestierte. So etwas ist einfach unnötig. Ich würde mir hier im Umgang mit anderen Lebewesen mehr Bewusstsein und Achtsamkeit wünschen.

Leuk avondprogramma, mooie locatie en heel vriendelijk Personeel. Je wordt er helemaal zen. Het hutje is ook erg fijn ingericht en de staff voldeed aan al onze wensen

La meraviglia del deserto!!

Abbiamo amato questo campo tendato. Tutto il personale è stato super gentile e accogliente fin dal primo momento. La struttura offre tanti servizi, oltre alla cena e allo spettacolo serale. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi di ricevere così tanta ospitalità e disponibilità. La cena tipica servita sotto le stelle ha senza dubbio dato un tocco in più alla spettacolarità del posto. Assolutamente consigliato per una esperienza nel deserto. Speriamo di ritornarci in futuro per poter rivivere le stesse emozioni.

Struttura magnifica immersa nelle dune, cena e colazione buona e con prodotti freschi e molto abbondante. Personale gentile e presente, io e la mia ragazza abbiamo passato una bellissima serata e una magica esperienza fra le dune con il sandboard e il dromedario. I gestori sono stati molto accoglienti nei nostri riguardi offrendoci sempre acqua fresca, the nel deserto e diverse gentilezze. C’è la possibilità di fare più esperienze, fra cui pane berbero, intrattenimento musicale intorno al fuoco ed escursioni nel deserto

Non ho dato il massimo alla posizione perché per raggiungerla bisogna passare con il proprio veicolo da una parte sterrata in mezzo alle palme

I loved the experience! The food, both at dinner and breakfast, was delicious and of high quality—they even show you how they make sand bread, which was a great touch. They also offer activities in the desert, such as sandboarding, and the staff were always warm and friendly. The haimas are quite comfortable, and the bathrooms exceeded my expectations, especially considering the remote desert location.

Unforgettable experience in the Sahara in all its glory under the stars but with all the amenities you would need. Dinner comes with a traditional folk and dance followed by the acrobatics on the horses and then a showcase on traditional breadmaking in the sands. Tent is massive and has power. Place is a bit tricky to if you rely on google maps as it'll take you through the more "scenic" paths but its all in the experience!

We had an unbelievable stay at the campsite and couldn’t recommend it more. Beautiful dunes in the Sahara desert, authentic tents which were comfy and had electricity. Brilliant staff who put on an excellent evening with traditional music, dance, horse dancing and cooking. A campfire to sit and watch the stars. This was a truly unique stay that you must try! I would pay a lot more for this experience, it really exceeded expectations.

It was a little out of the way of the rest of our Tunisia itinerary but it was absolutely worth the drive to get there.

This was just a fantastic experience all round. Accomodation (basic in tents but, hey, it's the edge of the Sahara!). Lots of solar PV panels so no generator noise. Food was superb. Staff likewise, Moktar and everyone else. Great facilitating to do an authentic camel ride straight from the camp, and a 4x4 trip and dune-boarding. Also a quad bike organised close to Douz. And ... when we got stuck in the sand Naier and his guys came to "rescue" us. To top it all, turns out Moktar has starred in a David Attenborough BBC documentary on nocturnal fennec foxes, part of the "Mammals" series. We (family trip) cannot recommend Dunes Insolites camp enough.

Stunning location - definitely off the beaten path, and right on the cusp of the desert! Cozy tents, good hot water and water pressure in clean showers. But the real star of the show is the staff… phenomenal staff who really make the experience special. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon such a special place. Highly recommend the dinner.
