The Lumbini Hotel & Restaurant

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Helped organised a last minute tour of the temples in a tuktuk. The AC was nice and helped with the hot weather. Any problems raised were resolved quickly. Also the proximity to the temples was fantastic, just a 10 minute walk away!

It's not the hotels fault but there were lots of bugs. Just expect that around September in most places you'd stay. Also don't expect a luxurious hotel stay - it's very classic Nepali accommodation. The high rating reflects the value for money and how nice the staff are

The behaviour of the people at the facility was very good. They provided all the care and tried to resolve every query amicably. Very nice place to stay. Location is also very good to visit the historical monuments.

Ran by a lovely family. We really appreciated their help and the 6am breakfast made before our long journey was delicious and very kind of the owner. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay.

It's a small hotel in a standalone building in a relatively secluded area - not that it's far from anything, as it's still within minutes of Gate 5/the bus terminal/main restaurants, but it's on the edge of the hotel zone, and is surrounded by flat land. The room is spacious with a kettle, although no cups. They gave me a bottle of water too, and there's a towel. There's hot water and the ceiling fan was strong. It doesn't get as hot as the outside but also retains heat in the evening. The restaurant serves good food. The owner also woke up very early to make me breakfast and opened up for me.

The only thing is that my room is at the end of the floor, and the Wi-Fi was quite spotty as a result.

The room and facilities are excellent, and the staff are really nice and helpful. The kitchen catered a vegetarian breakfast for the three of us, which was a nice bonus. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, highly recommended.

Since the English level is not very high you can’t rely on them giving you a lot of information about Lumbini and other places, you have to go to tourist information.

1. A/C in family room on first floor not functioning properly.

Very friendly and helpful staff - was pleasure dealing with them. Good breakfast. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Location was perfect in very quiet place. Nice views from the window. Definitely would come back.

Sometimes power/electricity went off / but it is possible city issue, not connected with the property...so the AC would not work.

This is best place to stay. It is near everything and in quiet street. Rooms with balcony look towards "city", so I prefer room with no balcony, which looks on the fields and I listen birds only. In 2 minute walk from hotel I am either at market street or at the gate no 5, from where is beautiful and not long walk to Budha birthday place. People are super helpful and caring. I would not want to stay anywhere else.

Good value for money - close to main town amenities such as the Maya Devi Temple, restaurants and bus stop. Bedrooms were clean and hot water is plentiful.

We were not aware that they did not provide towels.

My booking included a room with a balcony but I was given a different room, even after pointing it out to staff. Very thin walls with lots of noise from other guests in the hallways both nights I was there - slamming of doors, etc. Fan only operated at one speed.

Only Fast internet

Shower wasn't working.. I asked them 4 times to call plumber and fix that shower..but they ignored and nobody comes. . we had to bath with the tub 😞..no daily cleaning in the room in our 3 days of stay There was No television 📺 in the room but they mentioned on booking.com. Hotel manager was asking personal questions from my gf..which is non of his business..hotel staff have no right to ask abt guests personal life...

Clean, relatively modern hotel with well equipped room and bathroom. Some rooms have air conditioning. Ran by two friendly young lads who are keen to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. Located a few mins walk to the main restaurant street and entrance to the main shrine complex. Free breakfast and drinking water. Good value.

This Hotel is well situated, very close to Lumbini park gate no 5 and the market street no 1 (two minutes walk). It is a bit remote from the main hub in a quiet area. Staff is nice and helpful.

The hotel is quite new and well maintained. The staffs are lovely, kind & helpful. I was allowed to have a late check out as my flight was in the evening. The hotel is located close to Gate No. 5 of the Lumbini Garden( 15 mins walking distance to reach Maya Devi temple)and the restaurants and shops are about 5 to 7 mins walking distance. If you're in Lumbini for a meditation/religious purpose, go ahead a book it. It's also suitable for a week stay or longer given that the price is moderately ranged and provides value for money. It has been a comfortable stay for me.

There was no hot water on the shower!!! The employee said that there are going to fix it but im preatty sure he was lying! I ask help to find a tuktuk or a táxi or a bus and they didnt help me at all! Im a foreing woman travelling alone and they could be more Helpful! And leave 1 night before!!!

Staff is very friendly and easily communicable. The food in the attached restaurant was really good. The rooms are clean and have adequate facilities.
