Reviewed May 6, 2026Very clean and comfortable stay with a great private room. The whole house was extremely well maintained, and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. Akil was very helpful and knows the surrounding area and hiking trails very well, which was great for exploring the region. A special highlight was the food in the restaurant—it was absolutely delicious, some of the best meals I had during my trip. Overall, a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025I'm very satisfied with my stay, I kept extending. I felt very well welcomed by Akhil and his family and the upper room with the terrace was exactly what I needed. It was peaceful, private, with a beautiful view from the room and 360° on the terrace. It could have been cleaner but everything else exceeded my expectations. The food was homemade, tasty and healthy with local products from their farm or the village. It's a very peaceful town surrounded by nature, near the Ganga. I really recommend this address to rest and enjoy nature.

Cleanliness with rooms, washrooms , bedsheets was below expectations. Access to the place from the main road is difficult with heavy luggage. Though food quality is good,it would be cold as it is brought from outside and there is no inhouse cooking facility.

Reviewed Oct 4, 2024The location is right on the banks of Bhagirathi. The ambience of the nature, the feel of the river, the camp everything exceeded the expectations. The bathroom is clean. The concept of the bathroom inside the camp is unique. The staff were helpful and polite. Akhil makes every attempt to keep the guests comfortable, understands their interests and gives individual attention. I was traveling with my daughter. The initial scepticism evaporated as soon as we stepped into the property. I am glad we booked here. Anyone looking for serenity away from the hustle of the town, should seek to stay here.

Although Booking.com says property is pet friendly, the manager declined to take our pet inside saying it was not informed. Their AirBnB listing also shows pets are allowed. Still they declined, so after much deliberations, they allowed us in.

Reviewed Nov 26, 2022Very nice house and family. The room was clean and food was very good. Parking and locating the homestay are the two negatives I had a motorcycle so it wasn’t too difficult, a car I’m not sure where it would be parked.

Homestay is a bit off the road, but the host compensates for it by helping out with the baggage & transport.
