There was parking available as well. We especially liked the friendly and welcoming host, who made us feel very comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this apartment!

Temos tudo o que necessitamos aqui e estamos muito perto da praia, restaurantes e cafés. A piscina é super tranquila. Limpeza extrema. Tudo muito confortável. Espero um dia regressar. Reviewed Aug 16, 2026El anfitrión es estupendo. La estancia está super limpia y tiene lo necesario para pasar unos días agradables. La piscina está genial y al menos cuando nosotros estuvimos no muy concurrida. Las zonas comunes están muy equipadas y muy limpias.
Algo negativo puede ser el ruido por el pasillo, al existir habitaciones con baño compartido. Para personas con problemas para dormir podría ser un inconveniente, pero para nosotros no fue más que algo anecdótico. Las almohadas podrían ser algo mejor.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Het is een prachtig huis, schoon, op een locatie in een rustig plaatsje. Geschikt als uitvalsbasis voor dagtripjes in de omgeving naar bijvoorbeeld Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Caiscais of natuurlijk Lissabon. Het strand van Carcavelos is een aanrader dichtbij. De host is zeer vriendelijk en reageert zeer snel op vragen via whatsapp. Het zwembad heb je vaak voor jezelf, de meeste gasten gaan er op uit overdag.
De opzet waarbij je ruimtes moet delen met andere gasten (woonkamer, keuken, patio, zwembad, bij sommige kamers sanitair) werkt prima maar is natuurlijk een beetje afhankelijk van de andere gasten. Maar je hebt voor een vriendelijke prijs wel een prachtig huis tot je beschikking. Tip: de suites hebben wél eigen sanitair op de kamer. Gewone kamers delen een badkamer op de gang.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Wat een lieve mensen die deze accommodatie runnen. De kamers zijn zijn schoon en ruim. Je moet alleen bij het boeken erop letten welke kamer je boekt. Je hebt namelijk kamers met badkamer/toilet of je hebt kamers met een gedeelde badkamer, De gedeelde badkamer zit op de gang, dus ook je toilet. Er is een gezamenlijke keuken. Het zwembad ziet er keurig en verzorgt uit. Auto kun je voor de deur gratis parkeren. Je zit op loopafstand van het station, om zo naar Lissabon te gaan. Wanneer je vragen hebt kun je de hosts altijd berichten. Abigal had voor ons een heerlijk Portugees restaurant geboekt. Dank nog daarvoor.

Penso que o apartamento em que fiquei (número 7) não é muito confortável para quem tem mais de 1,80 (meu caso). Importante avisar isso no momento em que o cliente vai alugar. O chuveiro demora bastante para aquecer a água e o banheiro é fechado apenas com vidro na parte superior (seria bom colocar estores ali).

Reviewed May 16, 2026Superbe maison très bien placée entre Lisbonne et Sintra, au calme et très propre! J'ai voyagé seule et eu une chambre au dernier étage, avec salle de bain privative, placards, etc. C'était très bien aménagé, le lit très confortable et les parties communes étaient très spacieuses et bien équipées aussi. Les propriétaires étaient charmants et Abigail parle anglais si besoin, j'ai eu des recommandations d'activité et de restaurants alentours qui m'ont bien servies, très bonne communication par WhatsApp! J'ai garé ma voiture dans les rues alentours ou devant la maison, qui sont toutes gratuites, et je n'ai eu aucun problème. J'ai été très bien accueilli alors que j'avais réservé au dernier moment, vraiment je recommande!
Pas de place de parking disponible pour ma voiture quand j'étais là, déjà prises par d'autres voyageurs de la Guest House. De plus la piscine n'était pas disponible. Mais Abigail m'avait tout de suite prévenu de tout ça quand j'ai réservé, et comme c'était au dernier moment je n'en tiens pas rigueur du tout, ni dans ma note.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The whole experience was lovely- the communication from Abigail and Ricardo was excellent and made us feel at ease. This was a last minute booking after a disastrous stay elsewhere and they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The place was super clean and felt very safe. The kids absolutely loved the pool area. The shared living areas made for a lovely experience of meeting others and everyone was really understanding of the children. We were also able to get some washing done which is always a bonus when travelling with children! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. The location is a little out of Cascais but fine if you have a car.

Super friendly and helpful with lots of advice to get around in the Lisboa area. 5 minutes walk to an original portugese pastry and a small supermarket, some minutes more to the Beach and the train station. Even the „noisy couple“ you might meet is more fun than annoyance :-)

Reviewed Sep 12, 2025I stayed for two days only but I wish I could stay longer, it was extremely clean and I had the whole swimming pool just for myself because I believe that another guests were out and about. The location was very peaceful but also very easy to go to Cascais or Lisbon by train, the local beach was good too. If the guests were interested in cooking the kitchen was great and full of complimentary stuff such as different options for coffees or tea. The owners were very helpful and kind during my stay. I would definitely recommend it

Reviewed Sep 8, 2025I would say it was a very clean, cosy and worth noting is the convenient location of the apartments. It takes about ~ 20 min (maximum) by walk to the Atlantic ocean and beach with a child, without rushing. Swimming pool in the apartment honestly was exiting for me and my little daughter, no chlorine in the water. 👍🏻
Everything was an absolutely perfect for me and my family, no disadvantages.

Hay que tener en cuenta varias cosas, es una casa grande utilizada como un hotel, así que tienes habitaciones de una casa y algunas con Bańo compartido ( hay que tenerlo en cuenta ) y estás en una casa donde hay gente que no conoces, si es gente agradable bien pero ya depende de la suerte. La playa está bastante lejos andando y el acceso a la misma no es nada cómodo, así que si pensáis que es fácil ir a la playa informaros primero. Teniendo en cuenta estas cosas lo demás de la estancia bien.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025Loved the pool - so nice on a hot day. Super clean place room, pool, kitchen. Great kitchen so we went to the supermarket and cooked nice meal. If we’d stayed longer it would have been nice to use the BBQ. Our room was a good size and bathroom too. Ricardo was very nice guy, helped put our bikes in the garage and tell us about local restaurants and shops
While it isn’t in Lisbon you can catch a train (10 minutes walk to station) and be there quickly.

El techo del cuarto tipo buhardilla que obliga a estar doblado la mayoria del tiempo. La puerta principal tenía un espacio/hueco bastante grande en la puerta superior imposibilitando de alguna forma la insonorización y privacidad.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2025Wat een heerlijke plek om te mogen logeren! We hadden 2 kamers geboekt met elk een eigen badkamer. Kauai Guest House is super schoon, de eigenaar is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Je kan zien dat ze met veel liefde en toewijding voor hun guest house zorgen! Onze huurauto kon in de prive garage onder het huis staan, de keuken is super compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Op het dak is het zwembad waar je heerlijk kan afkoelen op de warme dagen. Het station en strand liggen op loopafstand, Lissabon is binnen een half uurtje met de trein te bereiken. Ook is er een heerlijk koffiezaakje op loopafstand waar ze zalige koffie, broodjes en taartjes serveren. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt in de guest house maar zagen wel dat dit er heerlijk en meer dan compleet uitziet. Een echte aanrader, we komen graag nog eens terug!

Abigail zarekomendowała nam świetne miejsce z FADO. Bardzo polecamy. Piękne miejsce, dobrze skomunikowane z Lizboną, bisko plaży.
Jak na wakacje za wcześnie cisza nocna ;), ale cały czas nie było to problemem!

The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was great - 15 minute walk to a beautiful beach, 10 minute walk to the train that gets you to Lisbon or Caiscais.
No complaints - but I want to mention the beds are firm.

A tetőn lévő medence pedig kiváló ;-) Reggeli kérhető ami nagyon finom és bőséges ,olyan mintha egy nagy szálloda svédasztalos reggelije lenne ;-) A megérkezéstől a távozásig nagyszerü volt minden ami köszönhető a házigazdáknak Abigailnek és Ricardónak , akik mindent megtesznek hogy a nyaraló emberek jól érezzék magukat ;-) Minden információt megkaptunk a szállással kapcsolatban whatsapp-on , sőt még program lehetőségeket is ;-) Óceánpart, bolt, benzinkút, éttermek 10 percen belüli kényelmes sétával elérhetőek ;-)
