We really liked the style and design of the camp, which is different from other camps. They use natural materials to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere. I particularly liked both the design of the room and the shared spaces. The tent was spacious, comfortable, and clean. There was some noise at night (a donkey and a dog barking). I didn’t hear it, but my husband woke up because of it. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the sand dunes, with some vegetation around. There are two other camps nearby, but I didn’t feel their presence at all. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Communication with them via WhatsApp was excellent, including arranging additional tours, pick-up upon arrival, and other details. It was also convenient that we could pay for the tours online through their website. If you arrive by rental car, they will meet you at the petrol station and then accompany you to a parking area next to one of the restaurants. The camel-riding experience starts after arriving at the camp, in the surrounding area. There wasn’t a real double bed; instead, there were two single beds placed next to each other. We joined a tour to visit a Berber nomad community. The tour was wonderful and very enjoyable, and it included lunch. However, we had to pay for water during lunch, especially after spending four hours in the desert!
An unforgettable experience at Rosara luxury Camp, surrounded by the golden dunes of Merzouga. The dinner was delicious and traditionally prepared, and the drum music after dinner created a magical atmosphere. Peaceful, authentic, and truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique desert escape.
Incredibile experience. The tents are very characteristic and charming, as well as comfortable: double bed was great, shower was extremely comfortable (good water flow and temperature easily adjusted). Dinner was good and the musician working in the camp are extremely skilled and very friendly. We also got some music & culture "lessons"! Just great. Words cannot describe the location: waking up and seeing the Sahara dunes cannot be explained.
Amazing night in the Sahara Desert, Morocco! Arrived by camel in time to see the sunset! Clamping tents were fantastic, with air conditioning, beautiful shower, electricy to charge your techy stuff. Food was over the top with regards to the flavor and how much was served! Staff were pleasant and helpful! Shout out to Ayo!! Evening entertainment was fun, traditional lige music played around a bonfire! Up early to watch the sunrise! Thank you all for making a very enjoyable memory!!
Beautiful place overlooking the sand dunes. Tents were so comfortable with spacious private bathroom with shower and toilet separate, both beautifully tiled. Hot water shower. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Some of the best food from our tour and generous buffet breakfast. They made such an effort for one of our groups birthday and went above & beyond. Highly recommend & would stay again. The camp is one of many along the same stretch, I’m not sure how it compares. We arrived by camel and our bags were driven to meet us by 4x4 car. Thank you for our stay :)
We arrived on peaceful dromedaries led by very friendly guides. The tents were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the service was excellent. At night, there was a bonfire and music from the tan-tam and other percussion instruments. Silence reigned in the dunes... Highly recommended. A heartfelt thank you to our guide Zaid and his family for their wonderful hospitality and guidance throughout our experience in the desert, cities, towns, and many other places of interest in this beautiful country. Shukran
This family run camp is a real jewel in the desert. The experience starts with a camel ride and sunset viewing on the dunes, followed by a delicious 5-course dinner under the stars. For the evening they prepared music and dancing around a bonfire. You can sleep either inside or outside of the tent and watch the stars. We stayed 2 nights, during the day we did a quad tour and stayed at the partner riads pool with an infinity view to the dunes. After pickup from there we got a “bonus” preview of their planned 4x4 adventure dune tours and were taken to the middle of the desert with awesome views and quiet. I definitely recommend to stay 2 nights and also enjoy the daytime activities.
We had an amazing time with our new friend Mohamed he is the owner of the camp also we won’t forget about the staff who took care of us during our stay at camp the food is very delicious definitely worth it and the camel ride through the golden dunes is such beautiful thing we are happy to spend our night at Rosara Luxury Camp thank you everyone.
We had a great adventure. The luxury tents were beautiful and had heat. The shower was hot and one of the best I've had in Morocco. The food was delicious and plentiful. We really enjoyed the 1 hour ATV ride to our camp and the stop for sunset photos. So glad we were able to see the sunset. Some of us even saw the sunrise, and it was even more spectacular. Thank you for the experience.
Consiglio vivamente Camel Trekking
We took a 3-day private tour to Merzouga with Youssef as our guide. He was a fantastic and safe driver, very attentive to our needs. We absolutely loved the quad bikes and wish we could have booked them for longer. We booked the trip in advance, and Omar was great with all the information; everything went smoothly.
Incredible visit and stay at the camp! We had our stay, transfers, and guided tour arranged by Mohamed, and the whole experience was fantastic. The camel ride to the camp, dinner and entertainment, as well as the quad biking on the sand dunes, were all great fun. Our driver and guide, Omar, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We learned a lot from him about Morocco, its history, culture, people, etc. Thank you
We were looking for a smaller and more intimate camp for our first desert experience. Aurum dunes luxury camp was recommended by a guide and we could not have been more pleased. The staff is wonderful. They were friendly, accommodating and took the time to chat with us and share their country and history with us. The camp was absolutely beautiful! The "tent" was vast, clean, beautifully decorated and private. The camel ride was unforgettable. They, of course, knew where to stop so we could have an unbelievable sunset experience and the sunrise spot was just perfect. And . . . we had probably the best meal in all of Morocco as well. I would highly recommend them
a magical place, the staff were excellent and accommodating. They served us a welcome tea and snacks. The food was delicious, each meal was different and our whole party enjoyed it very much. We spent two nights, in the evening the staff played live music for us and we enjoyed a fire. We would recommend staying here. The camp was also very clean for being in the desert. The ride to the camp was also very fun, as you must traverse the sand dunes to get there. Take advantage of a camel ride at sunset for some breathtaking pictures
It’s amazing place also people at camp are friendly we will come back to this place. We had a wonderful time at night. We played the drums. Everything was very special. Also activities we tried quad bikes to see the sunset from over the dunes. It was a special moment for me and my kids, we will come back again thank you so much, everyone.
We stayed at Lunar camp for 1 night and we wished we had stayed for 2. The hosts, Mohamed and Sahid (I hope I have written their names right) were absolutely incredible. We also would like to leave a great feedback for Omar and Mohamed, who helped with the bags, with the meals and our camel ride. In the evening, we were privileged with a drum and Berber song session. The meals were absolutely wonderful, both dinner and breakfast (as you can tell by the photos). The tent where we stayed was super comfortable, very clean and well maintained. It was a recent camp at the time we stayed there and we wish them a very long and prosperous run. We are already talking about coming back.
We had a great time at ROSARA LUXURY CAMP thank you for this amazing experience also the food was delicious the activities like quad bikes is one of the most beautiful time thank you everyone.
This was a highlight of our tour with Moroccan Colorful Tours. We spent two nights at the luxury camp and got to see incredible night skies, experience authentic Berber music and nomad life and see Saharan sunsets. The staff were all super friendly, Abdul's tajines were out of this world and the tents were comfortable and had hot water! The guys played with the kids and took us sand boarding and 4x4ing in the evening. We were happy we close to stay two nights because the desert just has so much to offer.
Our stay at ROSARA LUXURY CAMP was absolutely amazing! Said was a fantastic host, very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, the location in the dunes is breathtaking, and the whole experience felt magical. Highly recommended!
We had a great adventure. The luxury tents were beautiful and had clean.
We had a wonderful time with our friends at Camp we stayed one night we took the camels to see the sunset over the dunes yes it was the best beautiful thing ever I can’t imagine peaceful place also quad bikes in morning were very fun yes the food at Camp and the tents were clean thank you everyone for this amazing moments.
..
It's inaccessible, the luxury camp in the desert is in the right place, and the rooms are made by other adorable people who make good memories with new friends. mohamed and the staff i wil be back soon
Prachtige ervaring!
The camel ride took 1.5 hours from Merzouga to the sunset point where we stopped for 45 minutes to see the beautiful sunset in the desert 1.5 hours is hard on a camel and you should be in a good condition to do it. After the sunset we were taken to our tent which had no aircon So we had no heating from there There was some heating from a device but the room stayed very cold for the night. (December 2025) The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was okay There was no heating in the dining room To go back to Merzouga we used the 4x4 car of the camp. It was very nice to ride over the dunes. For a better desert ecxperience you should visit the Sahara in April or May December and January are too cold
It was an incredible experience to spend the night here! I wouldn’t have expected a tent in the desert to be so comfortable. The evening was enhanced by an excellent local dinner I recommend going here with Excursion Morocco Tours
We spent two nights at the desert camp. We had exceptional experience, loved every second of it! Absolutely DELICIOUS food, extremely friendly and helpful staff that made us feel like family, everything is well organized, comfy rooms, gorgeous camp. The host Hassan took really good care of me and my family and made sure we had the most amazing time. Our guide/driver Ali was absolutely wonderful! Super caring, reliable, kind and informative. Just above and beyond! We highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back!
Thank you for your kind words we are very happy to hear that from you and we look forward to have you here again
Best kind of experience - fun things to do - camel ride to see sunrise, quad rides to see sunset, music, fire, great people and great authentic Moroccan food many vegetables and spices locally sourced. Best experience ever for us!
Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Food was delicious and authentic. Enjoyed our music by the campfire! Camel ride to the camp was great. Beautiful at sunset! Room was spacious and comfortable. There wasn't any hot water (only luke warm) when I tried to shower in the AM, but aside from that, everything was great!
Obrigada Mostafa e equipe!!
I usually I dont post review. But Mohamad and his team gave us Best service better then hotel room service. Everyone was very friendly with smile on there face night and day. We were in group of 17 picky people. they made us comfortable as possible by trying to fulfill all our need. It was very different experience in living without your usual living. Day time is very hot and night is cool on may. Bring light breathable wear and cover shoe for day time activity.
It’s a magical place! We liked this camp more than the other camps we passed on our way because it felt more intimate (it has less tents). The tent is beautifully furnished so it was very comfortable. But the best part of our stay was the staff. Mohamed and the team really did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. MOHAMAD is such a nice person with a huge knowledge about Amazigh culture and nomad life. He took us on 4x4 trip around the area, showed us nomad village, beautiful lake etc and we learned a lot from him. We are vegetarians and there was no problem, the staff prepared delicious, vegetarian meals. In the evening they performed traditional Amazigh songs around the fire. We could admire very clear sky with visible Milky Way! Everything was organised to our liking, we could choose the hour when the meals were served and when we did additional activities. It was really unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to Mohamed!
This place is beautiful! The staff members here are friendly and attentive and they took good care of us. We had good WiFi connection, heated rooms and steady hot water which was very helpful for cold nights. The food served here were also of really good quality. Be sure to join in their camp fires in the evenings as there is singing and a lot of laughters.
Wonderful experience. Staff are super attentive and the room is luxurious. Clean room and bathroom. There are also loungers for stargazing. Remember after midnight till 5:00 no super water pressure, electricity once a while will go off and on, but it is in the desert so totally fine. Very cozy and comfortable bed, slept like a baby.
Amazing experience. We camel trekked for around 1.5 hrs to get there and were met with a lovely mint tea and snacks. The tent was gorgeous and big enough for our family of four. We were lucky enough to get a tent right on the edge of the property so stargazing was spectacular and we had a ten second walk to watch the sunrise! The campfire and dancing was so much fun.
wow Dreamy Epic Thoughtful. Kind This place is the real deal and the people are too. I celebrated my 50th birthday here which was bound to be a dream come true in the desert, but the good people of the camp may have been the most memorable They even got me a cake and sang happy birthday in 6 languages There are so many options for a stay in the desert but there is only one Kam Kam Dunes the setting is private, the food is amazing, the amenities were so clean and comfortable you can almost forget you in the Sahara!! And the decor is just what you might have dreamed it would be this place is like out of a movie but it’s all so real and true… and you the star We watched a few different travel vlogs on Morocco & after discovering several had chosen This lovely camp, we booked here & SO glad we did
We had Rosara luxury camp through the one of the old recommendation. This camp was very nice and the rooms were clean. There were enough blankets to keep us warm. There was a heater on one corner of the room. The bathrooms are also quite clean and good. As it was cold and tired we didn't join the after dinner berber music session but could listen to it as it was right beside our tent and it was good. They had accommodated our vegetarian food request and the food was also good. The staff were also good and spoke good English
Great camp. Hassan is a great guy and it’s worth to stay there just to meet him and talk to him. We had a great time. If you wonder how does the whole thing look; you getting picked up in LandCruiser and have an amazing ride through Sahara sand dunes to the camp. Spacious tents with shower and toilet. Food and breakfast, music fire and Berber tea. Easy to walk or have camel ride to see sunset or sunrise. Staff is welcoming and will do a lot to accommodate your needs. Waka waka!
My recent stay at Rosara luxury camp in Merzouga was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was immersed in the magic of the Sahara Desert, surrounded by breathtaking sand dunes and a sense of tranquility. The camp itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional Moroccan elements with modern comforts. My tent was spacious. However, what truly elevated my experience was the exceptional hospitality and the magnificent dining experience. The staff at luxury camp were incredibly warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. Overall, my stay at Rosara luxury camp was an unforgettable experience. The combination of exceptional service, and the exquisite dining experience made it a truly special retreat. I highly recommend this camp to anyone seeking an authentic desert adventure.
The camp itself is beautiful and very comfortable, with clean and stylish tents that give you both privacy and luxury At night the sky full of stars made the place feel like a dream — a perfect setting for couples
Thank you Rosara luxury camp for such an incredible stay. Moustafa, from the lodge, made our honeymoon unforgettable with a surprise snacks and drinks table set up in the dunes! Mustafa our driver was incredible! We loved our trip, everything was organized for us and the staff went out of their way to make us happy.
Everything was excellent Food tasty Rooms very comfortable We were in mai and tents were cosy and warm Staff really helpful and friendly
amazing camp beautiful setting and open design so that you can enjoy the panoramic view of the dunes from your tent Delicious breakfast and dinner and very kind and helpful staff. Tents are very pretty and clean are well decorated and have comfortable beds Clean bathroom with nice hot shower Would definitely recommend
This was a really lovely place the setting in the desert is amazing The tents are beautiful and beds are plenty warm with loads of furry blankets. The men we met who collected us on camels and returned us in the pickups seemed to be the same men who organised the campfire, drums and dancing all of which were brilliant making this the highlight of our trip The food was really good (all my fussy children ate everything) but no wine available so if you'll want some you'll have to bring it with you
This place is simply magical a place where you can immerse yourself in the desert with all the comforts and luxuries within reach The entire staff works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and has everything they need. The rooms are very clean and every detail is taken care of. The evening show is very enriching, it connects you with the music, the fire, the 🌎 👌
The rooms was perfect 👌
Spent just one night here on a trip to ski the sand dunes The camel ride through the dunes was beautiful plan to arrive just before sunset The camp was beautiful, and the rooms were very comfortable, with private baths and hot showers. After dinner we enjoyed a campfire under the stars with drumming and entertainment
The camel ride took 1.5 hours from Merzouga to the sunset point where we stopped for 45 minutes to see the beautiful sunset in the desert. 1.5 hours is hard on a camel and you should be in a good condition to do it. After the sunset we were taken to our tent which had no aircon. So, we had no heating from there. There was some heating from a device but the room stayed very cold for the night. (December 2025). For a better desert ecxperience you should visit the Sahara in April or May. December and January are too cold
The campfire and dancing was so much fun
Rien
I had a real exiting Sahara adventure with the camp stuff, first with a camel transfer, a lost in a dunes my personal device, and all of them were searching it during the night, like in a movie. Finally they found it! Thanks a lot for all team. The camp was very luxury, with in-suite shower incredible in a desert, WC and private dinner Next day Safari Jeep transfer was great journey among the dunes too! On arrival and departure the camp stuff provides their owned hotel facilities with swimming pool and catering
A beautiful getaway from Marakesh hustle. At least two nights are recommend because Merzouga is far from all the big cities. There is a lot to see and do in the desert, don't worry about that. The nights are very cold, but they are prepared with fluffy blankets and traditional berber dresses for you to wear. 🤩 The food is planty and delicious! The programs are nice! I took part a camel ride to an oasis nearby and climbed the dune which was about 200m. It took longer than expected but it totally worth it! The stuff was incredible helpful, they speak many languages and help you with any kind of possible problem. It is a family business which you can feel they are all connected. Mohamed is a very lucky man to have a team like that. The campfire and playing droms was my favourite experience
After an magic camel ride through the dessert we had an amazing stay in this luxury camp. The people are truly hospitable and our host Said arranged everything into detail.would definitely recommend 5 out 5⭐️
camp was luxury in the middle of the Sahara, when on site you felt like the only camp there with the best dunes views! Hassan and Omar were amazing hosts making us feel welcomed, introducing us to incredible food, sharing insights into the culture, and indicating where we should try to sandboard! The camp itself is relaxing, you can take in the silence of the desert and the rooms are luxury comfort. The owner places amazing attention to detail to everything. It’s comfortable and beautiful and serene❤️❤️
Our time in the Sahara Desert and at the Luxury Camp was definitely the highlight of our trip to Morocco. Not only did we feel extremely comfortable, but we also had some unforgettable experiences. We traveled to and from the camp in a 4x4 and are glad we chose this option because it was a fun ride and we were able to chat with the locals at the same time. We stayed for two nights, which we would recommend since it allows you to really get to know the desert. We were also offered a day tour, which we would highly recommend. The food at the camp was excellent, the tent was very aesthetically pleasing (recently restored), well equipped and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would have loved to stay longer and would choose this camp again in a heartbeat.
It is surprising the structure they have right in the middle of the desert. Our tents were large, well equipped hot water and much more than we expected The highlight of this place is Hassan and his crew who makes a great effort to welcome everyone. He learned several languages and even a few jokes in Portuguese. We came during the winter, and the experience by the fire was definitely something we will remember for years
Amazing service and food! Everything was organized perfectly. The camel ride, the 4x4 tour, the campfire music and riddles show... They even made special food to take care about our dietary request.
Davvero fantastico! Tende pulite e molto confortevoli, personale molto accogliente e gentile. Cena buonissima, colazione eccezionale. Festa berbera molto carina. 10++
You have hundreds of camps to choose from and they all offer the same activities but no other camp will leaving you feeling like you were welcomed into the Berber community like you are family. Mohamed, his family and his staff provide a unique, authentic Sahara experience like no other. They work tirelessly to ensure you have a personalized and full service holiday that you will never forget. From 4x4 rides to a Berber camp to fossil hunting to learning how to survive in the dessert to musical performances and a beautiful lunch in Mohameds mother's house. Followed by ATVing, a swim in the pool before a sunset camel ride. After a beautiful dinner, chill by the fire to hear live music and dance if you like. Before bed, take a walk in the dessert to take pictures of the star filled sky. Before you leave, rise early with MOHAMED to take sunrise photos. Thank-you MOHAMED and all your people for beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. We will see you again some day .
One of the most unique parts of our trip to the desert. A short camel/car ride which is convenient, and the camp is separated enough from other camps that it is still peaceful. The staff were all amazing, welcoming, and encouraged us to get involved in night activities. The food was plentiful but the quality and flavour didn’t compare to what we had elsewhere in Morocco. They had many different options for food though so there was always something for everyone.
Nice stay in the desert. Brahim was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the sunset camel ride and the evening with music around the fire. Comfortable tents and a good overall experience
The place is wonderful but could not be otherwise, the camp is in the middle of nowhere and sleeping under the stars is priceless however there are some things to report. Let’s start by saying that the tents are very large, with private bathroom and therefore very comfortable, but unfortunately there was neither heating nor hot water. In a period like March where temperatures especially at night are still low this can become a serious problem. In the end, to sleep we put under three layers of blankets in addition to the duvet but in the morning the awakening was traumatic. We still ate well, both for breakfast and dinner and the guys who run the camp were kind and considerate
Our family had an amazing experience - I wish we had more than one night! Hassan in particular makes this place incredible. He and the rest of the staff really go out of their way to accommodate all you needs. Even for our short visit, he helped us squeeze in a camel ride to the resort, a sunset ATV tour, sand boarding, a swim in their pool next to the dunes, drumming/dancing by the fire, late night stargazing, and sunrise photos over the dunes. Even the 4x4 transfer back to our vehicle was an adventure. I would recommend all these activities. The camel ride was unique and fun - after an hour your backside can be a little sore (unless you sit cross-legged) but it’s totally worth it. And definitely worth it to stay up for the star gazing in the dunes. The food for dinner and breakfast was very tasty. Recommend bringing a bottle of wine to have at sundown. Rooms are cozy and showers decent. Hard to prevent sand from getting everywhere, but that’s part of the experience. Recommend buying a scarf in town before arrival (the staff will help you tie it) as well as a glass vial to collect sand from the Sahara.
From 4x4 rides to a Berber camp to fossil hunting to learning how to survive in the dessert to musical performances and a beautiful lunch in Mohamed’s sister’s house. Followed by ATVing,a sunset camel ride. We will see you again some day ❤️🐪
We had the ride with the camels to the camp, was fun and I love that the camels were respected and they take good care of them. At the camp the food was great, the camp fire and the music was relaxing and intresting. We also had a experience to look at the stars and take some night time pictures. And the best part was the ATV ride back to the city. We were lucky that only me and my girlfriend wanted the ride back with ATV and the guide saw we are experienced drivers and we had a pretty intense ride. 10/10! Fully recommend
The camp in the entire Sahara. Very comfortable, the food was exquisite the staff was incredibly friendly and the owner, MOHAMED, is a wonderful person (he speaks perfect English) and very attentive to even the smallest details. We took a 4x4 tour and a quad bike ride. And it was truly good We'll be back, Mohamed.
This place is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast are really good. Staff are very helpful. I couldn't ask for more. It is worth to stay here and highly recommended.
We booked a 2 night stay as we really wanted to enjoy a full day in the camp. We arrived late on our first day at around 18:30 and had a welcome tea. We were then taken to watch the sunset by a 4x4 - our driver was keen to take pictures of us and everyone on our car. We came back and around 20:30 dinner was served. Then we enjoyed local music. The next day we booked ATVs (which are paid organized by the camp). Our ATV guide was professional and the ATVs were brand new along with clean and really good helmets. You can also get a paid tour in the Sahara by a 4x4 but we decided not take it as we wanted some time to chill and experience the camp. The guys at the camp are very friendly and it’s a pleasure having a conversation with them. Hassan we always available and even brought my friend a cigar pack as we ran out of Dhirams. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. WiFi connection was good. Book your stay on this camp and you surely won’t regret it!
Amazing place to stay. We booked for 2 nights and I am glad we did so! MOHAMED is a fantastic host! This was definitely the highlight of our roadtrip in Marroco. You should definitely consider activities such as camel riding at sunset time, 4x4 tour and buggy riding on the dunes, we did all of them and it was really worth it. Obrigado Mohamed! 😎
