Sehr schönes kleines Riad mit Gastfreundlichen Personal. Zimmer ausreichend groß. Sauber. Parkplatznähe
Unfortunately, our experience at this riad was disappointing, and we decided to leave after only one night even though we had booked and paid for two nights. From the moment we arrived, we did not feel particularly welcome. At reception, we were asked several questions that we felt were unnecessary and irrelevant to our stay. In addition, there appeared to be permanent residents regularly occupying the common living area, which made us feel more like intruders than paying guests and made it difficult to comfortably enjoy the shared spaces. The room was another major concern. It felt very tight, had poor air circulation and had an unpleasant smell. The most serious issue occurred during the night, when we encountered cockroaches in the room. As we were travelling as a family with a young child, this was particularly unacceptable for us. Unfortunately, breakfast the following morning did not improve our experience. Some of the food appeared poorly prepared or undercooked, particularly the harcha and msemen. We had originally booked two nights, but considering the combination of the uncomfortable atmosphere, poor ventilation and smell in the room, cleanliness concerns and disappointing breakfast, we did not feel comfortable staying for the second night and decided to leave early. I am sharing this review so that future guests, particularly families travelling with young children, can make an informed decision. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves the cleanliness, ventilation, hospitality and food quality.
The value for money with this property is really great, very cheap for a private room/bathroom with AC and breakfast included. The breakfast is very large. Additionally the property is totally silent at night meaning it’s easy to get a good nights sleep. It is also in a good location in the medina, only about 5 minutes walk to the university.
Only cold water out the showers. Property was difficult to find on the first day as there was only a small handwritten sign on the wall of an alley showing you where it was (it is opposite from le tarbouche cafe). Breakfast was big but all varieties of bread, could do with some fruit/eggs.
Heel leuke locatie in de oude medina, goed bereikbaar vanaf parking. Mooi uitzicht vanaf dakterras.
The owners of the riad drissia were very helpful indeed and very friendly. They helped us with directions and helped us book excursions with tour guides at a very good price and even has our own cooking lesson with one of the owners which was very insightful and tasty. We liked our big private room in the riad with private bathroom and toilet and the breakfast was especially nice.
It was quite difficult to find the riad in the medina as there isn't clear signage. It's written on the wall in black paint, there's not an actual sign like a lot of other riads.
Goede locatie, goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.
Our host Khalid and his partner both, were very kind and nice. The riad is located right inside the old medina of fes. And you literally will not go anywhere else other than the old medina, as there's a lot to see and explore. The riad was nice and cozy, hot water available and a comfortable bed with lots of blankets. Wonderful breakfast is served in the morning. We were lucky to be invited to his house for breakfast and dinner and were served amazing moroccan dishes which we normally cannot find elsewhere. If you get lucky, you might meet Ilham who is an amazing cook and a great person. A very pleasant and warm experience with Khalid and Ilham

Halid is very friendly, he made a super breakfast for us, the riad is very near the centre, in a quiet alley, easy to find
I did like everything

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Riad in Fes. The host was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and considerate — not just with me, but also with my mother and our two young children. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our visit. His kindness and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Couldn’t recommend him more highly!
Colazione abbondante. Ok.
Pulizia nn effettuata Bagno aveva rumore di acqua continuo
ubicacion y precio
I had the upstairs room with a terrace and access to the roof terrace. I enjoyed that a lot since I like space and having the door open when I'm in. Being right in the Medina made it easy to discover it. Breakfast was different every morning and that's something I also enjoyed.
I couldn't get the TV to work but it wasn't really an issue as I did not truly need it.
It’s cozy and clean
Can they have a big and extra bin?
Right in the middle of the Medina. The breakfast was great.
Difficult stairs. Small room. Very small bathroom.
- Excellent location - Helpful staff - Nice terrace
- No sauna (despite being advertised) - Very small and uncomfortable bathroom - Not comfy mattress - Too noisy - Breakfast served too late. We were told breakfast starts at 9:00. First day serving started at 9:40, we had booked a tour at 10:00 so didn't have proper breakfast (only 10 minutes available) and were late for our tour too. Second day, we left at 7:00 so didn't get any breakfast. Quality seemed to be good though.
Khalid was a great host - he was extremely responsive to our needs. Twice, he went to extra effort to take care of my family when we were trying to find solutions for our travel challenges. We are grateful for this extra attention and hard work on his part. Thanks, Khalid!
Good location and delicious breakfast
Brighter light
The owner was very nice and offered us tea upon arrival. The room was nice and we got a heater for the night since the temperatures in December are lower. Central location!
No sun on the roof terrace so in the morning we couldn't have breakfast there (it was December).
There was a little misunderstanding at the beginning of the check in but the hosts are very nice people. The riad is located off the Main Street from the blue gate and the entrance is across from the Le Tabouche cafe. If this is your first time in Fes, note that you will be dropped off outside the gate if coming by taxi. The walk into the medina can feel a little rough.
I got the ground floor double room which offers little privacy as I can hear people talking outside, and I’m sure they could hear me too on the phone. But I’ve found that most riads don’t have good soundproofing. The toilet lid doesn’t stay up so you have to hold it up when you sit on it. There also isn’t a sauna in the room as advertised. Other than that, the riad is great value for money and centrally located — all in all, a good stay.
Good staff
TV was not working, there was no heating in the room,
Great location inside the walled medina but difficult to find. Wonderful breakfast that changed each day and was nicely presented using local cuisine. This riad was small and intimate but comfortable in this price range.
Sadly my room was next to reception and the dining area so was very noisy early in the morning and at night so I couldn't rest. Also the front door was normally locked and I did not have an entry key so I was often stranded outside.
very friendly staff, nice and cozy place, small ,just 4 rooms, good location
The location was spot on as only 5-10 mins walk from the Blue Gate and easy to walk to the old ruins too. Lovely old style Riad with a rooftop area guests could use. Nice breakfast but quite bread based for someone who likes fresh fruit! The housekeeper does a lovely job of keeping everything clean and Halid the host was very helpful in arranging an early morning taxi to get us to the airport.
The door lock on our downstairs room was a bit difficult to master but we did appreciate the downstairs room as we travelled with heavy luggage and therefore we didn’t have to lug it up and down stairs!
Good location just walking distance from all attractions. Rooms are decorated in the Moroccan style and there is roof tarace where you can have a caffe or tea. All the rooms were very clean.
We stayed for three days and all that time we did not have a hot water in the shower. Even after reporting this issue to the host. For us it wasn't a problem as it was 37C outside. In the description hotel offers Free Airport Shuttle Bus. We organised it via booking.com chat but at the end it was a paid taxi service. Clarification of that service in the hotel description should be provided.
The location, price, the fact that there was air conditioning . Khaled is very kind.
Not cool common area. The patio was boiling hot. There we had to have breakfast. Not even a ventilator The bed not comfortable. And not enough space for 2 people. Breakfast could not be taken because the cook only arrived at 9 am and we had a trip at 8.
I love the property because it’s very old and has a lot of details about it all construction
It was so peaceful
The hosts are amazing kind people, They also served a good breakfast in the morning with both tea, coffee and different types of bread that you can pair with jam honey butter and omelet
It was a small place and our room was on the first floor, me and my girl didn’t feel enough privacy.
Lovely place to stay and the perfect location in the heart of the old Medina. Wonderful hospitality, great meals and good wifi
The place is comfortable and very cozy. The family that runs is is extremely nice and welcoming. We had dinner there and the mother of the manager cooked for us the best tajine we had in our whole Moroccan trip. Location is amazing - super central - and not noisy.
The shower could use some maintenance
good location. very friendly and helpful staff. Very helpful with information and always around when needed
a mirror in the bedroom would have been nice. Water pressure a bit low
Great location with a really nice rooftop. Very kind and friendly staff.
Wifi signal in the room on the terrace was weak and location on the google maps was incorrect so we had some troubles finding it (look for Le Tarbouche restaurant, the alley entrance is on the opposite side of the restaurant). Also, water in the shower was either cold or extremely hot.
Nice place. Bit tricky to find in the Medina and few minutes from parking. Very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Small but very pleasant sitting area. Comfortable bed.
All good except finding place on motorbike. Ended up driving through Medina..oops..Google..
Breakfast was nice and host was super friendly. No air conditioning or not on at the time so even though 'winter' was hot for us. Hard to find at first but they had someone greet us at the main gate when we arrived. Shower was not amazing, hot water was good but shower head and water got everywhere.
More Air Conditioning.
It was a standard accommodation, nothing outstanding.
The managers bad attitude regarding no hot water being available for 2 days.
Everything was absolutely perfect, we confused our flight and we were supposed to arrive the day before and Khalid didn't mind at all, we took another flight to Tanger and he helped us find a bus to arrive to Fes and we arrived around 3am and he sent someone to look for us so we'd arrive safe and sound to the Riad. During all our staying he made sure we were comfortable, he gave us orientations about places to visit and to see, about the culture there cause they are in Ramadan, he arranged for us an excursion to the desert which was AMAZING. Breakfast was handmade and I strongly suggest you have dinner there at least once, best meal than in most of restaurants around the medina. The Riad was beautiful, beautifully decorated and the cleaning perfect. The location just in the heart of the medina. Couldn't have chosen better place to be in Morocco for the first time. Thanks for everything!
Just that the hot water in our shower was coming and going from time to time during the shower, but you just have to get the trick, apart from that, everything perfect.
the staff and good location
Breakfast was lovely and made with care for the tourist. The female staff were very friendly and helpful. The terrace was a haven away from the hassle and people wanting to fleece you from your money.
We are independent travellers and parking was listed as valet parking. We booked the parking at the price costed and when we arrived it was increased by an additional 50%. We were possibly naive as it was a piece of waste ground and we didn't really feel that our vehicle was safe. This situation should have been upfront rather than having the feeling you were being scammed. The ground floor room was incredibly noisy and every time a light was switched on or noisy guests were toing and frowing at all times of the day you were disturbed. This included before daybreak. As a consequence we changed our plans. We have thought long and hard and we have decided that staying in a hotel and travelling into the Medina would be a less stressful option.
This is a nice Riad in a great location - just off the main Medina street, and close to the main parking area - just to the west of the Medina, which makes it very convienent if you have a rental car. Breakfast was OK, the manager was very helpful and friendly. I was offered dinner ( 150 D) however as I was the only guest, I decided to visit one of the very numerous eateries in the main street instead, so cannot comment on the evening meal. It is nicely decorated, my room was great.
Unfortinately the shower in my room was broken, the manager checked this in the morning, and Im sure by now it will have been fixed. Due to the position of the toilet - in a very tight space, I found it difficult to use, however, I guess originally Raids never had toilets in each room :-)
Khalid (manager) has been really kind and friendly. Every day once we arrived to the riad, We had a good talk with him and it was very nice. The breakfast has been amazing the 6 days of our stay. One day we had to leave really early and we got it to take away and was also very good. Towels were changed and room cleaned every day. The location is really good: very close to one of main streets, to the blue gate (main entrance to the medina) and to restaurants, shops….
Our room was in the basement floor, close to the living room and sometimes was noisy…. For us it was not a big problem because we woke up early everyday but sleeping longer than 09:00 would have been complicated. Anyway we are very happy with the riad Lala Drissia si we advice it at 100%
The staff were very kind and accommodating. I stayed here just for a night before I had to run off for orientation for class the next morning. Even though I didn’t have a lot of time to eat, they made me a fantastic breakfast and allowed me to leave my bags until I could check into student housing later that next day. It’s in a quieter part of the medina, so I was able to get a good night’s rest while there.
It’s a bit hard to find, but I like how quiet it is there.
It was really nice.
Our stay and the riad drissia was the moste pleasant Khalid and sarah were very nice, helpful and very welcoming. Such a beautiful property in the perfect location in old medina 5 min to the bleu gate Khalid w1s such a lovely host and went the extra mile to help us many time
Nothing
Great experience with khalid He is nice and helps you explain to us everything you need to know about the city of Fez. The dinner was delicious, the Moroccan taste. I will come back. I recommend this place 100%
Very clean Riad the room was spacious with private bathroom the staff very helpfull
Thank you very much khalid and sarah for your hospitality all is very good perfect location and Nice view panoramic with good breakfast with local food.
Nothing
Our stay and the Riad Drissia was the most pleasant. Khalid and his family were very nice, helpful and welcoming. The Riad is located in a sweet spot near most touristic attractions in the Medina. We had dinner there on our last day in Fes, and it was the best meal we’ve had. I’d recommend Riad Drissia to anyone travelling to Fes.
Nothing. Everything was amazing.
such a beautiful property in the perfect location. Khalid was such a lovely host and went the extra mile to help us many times. When we got up early to go on a day trip, they even packed us a breakfast to take with us. Highly recommend!
Very clean Riad and confortable room with Nice breakfast included the staff very freindely and helpfull thanks khalid and sarah
