Incredibly delicious food - both dinner and breakfast, they even managed to cook vegan for us, and the portion was HUGE. The family was very friendly and welcoming, and their cats were adorable.

The location was a little hard to find and also very far off, so it might be hard to reach when travelling without a private car. Also, there's nothing to part the bathroom from the bedroom (not even a curtain). When sharing a room, it's a little uncomfortable.

La hospital y disposición de Omar y su mujer ha sido fantástica. En todo momento nos hemos sentido muy bien acogidos y cómodos. Incluso debido al intenso calor que hizo durante nuestra estancia en la habitación nos prepararon unas camas con mosquitera para dormir fuera. La cena y desayuno geniales.

Wunderschönes Zimmer mit liebe zum Detail und eine wirklich herzliche Familie. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Es gab das beste Essen auf unserer Reise. Auch die Führung durch den nahegelegenen Steinbruch mit vielen Fossilien war sehr interessant.

Todo genial la familia un amor la habitación de 10 y sobre todo la hospitalidad que tienen . Muchas gracias por todo y por vuestro esfuerzo para mejorar día a día y hacer que la estancia sea inmejorable .la cena y el desayuno fantástico y buenísimo. Sin duda volveremos

Para mí, la mejor experiencia en todo nuestro viaje en Marruecos. Fuimos muy bien acogidos por Omar (que habla un español fluido) y su encantadora familia. La cena fue deliciosa y abundante, igual que el desayuno. Aprendimos también sobre el estilo de vida bereber y los fósiles que se pueden ver por la zona a simple vista. Si algún día vuelvo a viajar por la zona, me volveré a alojar aquí sin duda.

L'accueil est idéal : thé à la menthe, dattes et olives du jardin de la famille, pain tout juste cuit au four traditionnel. Omar et sa femme sont d'une gentillesse incroyable, nous avons adoré échanger avec eux. Le petit déjeuner aussi était plus qu'à la hauteur : oeufs cuits au tajine et autres produits maison. C'est un véritable dépaysement d'être reçu dans cet hébergement.

Une immersion complète chez cette famille berbère. Nous avons tout apprécié : l'accueil, la générosité, le partage Le repas du soir et petit dejeuner succulant

The best welcome we had during our trip, very warm family. The rooms, service and hospitality are immaculate. Wished we could stay longer and will return for sure. Great location to visit the southeast part of Morocco. Delicious homegrown food.

L’accueil chaleureux, les repas savoureux, la tranquillité des lieux et la proximité des carrières de fossiles comme de Merzouga ont rendu notre séjour exceptionnel. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’authenticité de l’expérience auprès d’une famille berbère et la gentillesse d’Omar, de son épouse et de leur adorable petite fille.

There isn't enough space to explain this Sahara desert experience. Omar and Jahra own and run this dar north of Merzouga outside a little town called Merzane. It's an easy half hour drive to Merzouga if you want the high-pitched, tourist town. But if you want to stay with berbers, get to know them and have a feel for their lives, this is the place. First, Omar and Jahra are warm, welcoming, easy to be with, and happy to help. The dar is unique. Every corner is designed with an artist's eye. My room was extremely clean and comfortable - good bed, hot shower, lots of space. I spent three days there and wish I had three weeks. It was slow paced. Every morning, I had a fabuous breakfast with homemade bread, farm-fresh eggs, homemade butter, coffee/tea, plump dates, etc. Then on two of the days I sat in the garden or went for walks in the desert to relax and look for fossils. I had tasty dinners of tagine and couscous. One day I went to the Rissani market, Merzouga, Erg Chebbi and Khamlia to listen to music. But I was happy that I only did that one day. While I was staying at the dar a relative of Jahra's came by and gave me a henna treatment. I got to sit with women in the family and talk to them using google translate. I also watched Omar take care of sheep and his palm trees, and Jahra make bread in her oven in back of the house. And when I left she gave me one of her breads. This is a place to stay overnight or much longer. I've been in Morocco for about a month and this experience will be one of my most memorable.

Tout !!! L accueil et les echanges avec Omar exceptionnel. Le meilleur petit déjeuner de tout notre séjour au Maroc, genereux a l image de notre hôte.

Dar che si trova in un punto strategico a metà strada tra il deserto di Merzouga e Erfoud,vicino i percorsi dei fossili, ai quali ci ha accompagnato Omar stesso. La casa è tipica berbera molto suggestiva. Sembra di vivere davvero presso una famiglia berbera. Omar, la moglie e la bimba sono molto accoglienti. La colazione è super. La doccia comoda. La pace che si respira e’ fantastica.

It is so nice staying with such a nice family. Their hospitality was incredible with an amazing breakfast and a delicious optional evening meal sitting next to the wood burning stove was just so cosy. It’s an ideal place to stay if you are birding the area as the owner can arrange the best local guide, who I used, and he knew exactly where to go. I saw everything I went there for 👌

Nothing to dislike

Notre hôte nous hébergé dans les annexes de sa maison, très agréable pour partager un moment chez l'habitant pour manger le midi ou le soir ! Petite déjeuner et dîner très copieu vous en aurez pour votre argent ! Nous avons même eu le droit à une petite visite de la mine de fossile le lendemain matin ! Je recommande fortement ce lieu :)

Sehr schönes Zimmer in einer kleinen Anlage. Omar, Zahra und ihre süße, kleine Tochter sind liebenswerte Gastgeber. Das Essen, Frühstück und Abendessen war überaus reichhaltig. Wer etwas Ruhiges fern vom Trubel sucht (es sind sicher keine knatternden Quads zu hören), ist hier richtig. Wir waren drei Nächte hier und haben zwei mal Wanderungen in den Dünen unternommen und einen Tag in wunderschönen Rissani verbracht (an einem Markttag hingehen).

Kein Wifi und Maroc Telekom hat auch kaum Empfang

Une fois passée la porte de cette petite maison berbere, Omar vous accueille avec le sourire et le traditionnel the à la menthe. La chambre est parfaitement propre et bien decoree, le dîner et le petit déjeuner excellents et servis avec soin. N’hésitez pas un instant à vous y rendre. Le frère d’Omar nous a accompagné le lendemain pour la visite d’une très belle oasis. Bref, tout était parfait !

The host was extremely engaged and made sure to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He showed us a quarry with lots of fossils. The food was great both for dinner and breakfast.

It needs some getting used to, to have no door between the bathroom and bedroom.

La gentillesse de la famille qui tient cette chambre d'hôtes. On s'y sent comme à la maison. Le calme de l'emplacement. Les chambres decorées avec goût de style berbère. Petit déjeuner et diner très savoureux et copieux.

Aucun point négatif

En quête d'authenticité, on ne peut rêver mieux que de loger au Dar Oasis Moringa. La famille est très accueillante, repas et petits déjeuners sont très bons et tellement copieux. Omar et son épouse sont d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle et d'une grande serviabilité. Pour des lunettes perdues, il a activé son réseau d'amis, 2 heures et 70 km plus tard, elles étaient retrouvées Nous les remercions chaleureusement.

Tout était très bien

Belle chambre décorée avec goût et jardin agréable où prendre le petit-déjeuner. Le couple qui tient cette petite maison d’hôtes est charmant et l’épouse cuisine très bien ! De plus, ils sont très proactifs et font le maximum pour votre confort. Nous avons passé 2 nuits paisibles avec les fenêtres ouvertes sur le jardin. A recommander sans aucune hésitation!

We had an excellent stay here between Erfoud and Merzouga, very relaxing, calm and beautiful place hosted by a lovely family which provided us with the best and most generous food! Beautifully decorated, artisan rooms. You can walk through the desert and explore fossil and mineral mining on your own. To recommend!

The water pressure maybe varied but all you can expect in a remote location :)!

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in, and definitely the best during my trip in Morocco! It is run by the loveliest family, who go out of their way to help you out. I was even taken up to and shown the archaeological sites nearby. Omar got up early to open the outside door so I could go on my morning run. The room was beautiful and the food exceptional (and the amount of food!) Omar's soup is divine. After four nights in the craziness of the Fez medina, it was a perfect, quiet and relaxing place to be. It is worth travelling to the region just to stay here.

The driver who brought me there was not appreciative of the hospitality and I feel so terrible about the way he treated my hosts. I'm SO SORRY about that :(

we liked absolutely everything. 🙏🏼🤍 the best accommodation in morocco, we travel the country and we haven't had this yet. right after arrival, he prepared tea and refreshments and a fire. the host was excelent and attentive. the equipment was excellent. bottled water in the evening and in the morning. great morning you really have to try it and the price of the hotel is very low and the quality and services are very high Thank you again, we had a wonderful time and we will not forget

So grateful that we stayed at Dar Oasis Moringa — we had such a lovely night. It was clean, quiet, and the room was beautiful in its authentic Berber style. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Morocco. The family who runs it was SO kind and generous. It was also incredible to walk around the neighborhood to see all the fossils! What an amazing stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Dar Oasis Moringa in Merzane, Morocco. Omar, Sallah and family were great hosts to us. Amazing Berber life style experience and my favorite place to disconnect from frivolous habits, stargazing at night, experiencing Berber music, wonderful tea, and beautiful henna tattooing art. The rooms are very spacious with private bathroom, gorgeous garden, delicious breakfast and dinner. Most importantly, the sharing time with the family is an unforgettable experience for me and my family; I will definitely choose them for my stay again when visiting the area 🥰

Distance can be compromising if you don’t have your own car or rental.

It feels like you're visiting an old friend, where you're welcomed with the most delicious dinner, olives from their own garden that are unlike any you've ever tasted. They settle you in the best room, with traditional decor. Even when difficulties arise, everything is resolved immediately, with genuine concern for your comfort. The hosts are a wonderful family. Wishing them success and prosperity! A note for all future guests: be sure to admire the starry sky, unspoiled by the light pollution of a big city.

This is a very small, family-run accommodation with only 3 rooms. They are all hand-built, beautifully furnished, and are surrounding a lush courtyard. The family lives onsite, and provides - besides tea and snacks, of course - the most delicious dinner and breakfast with nothing left to wish for. At night you can watch the stars (with the asif n ignwan). It is very quiet, away from the touristy areas but easy to reach. If I am in the area again, I will come back here.

There was nothing that was not to like. Except that I only stayed for one night.
