Merzouga Horizon Luxury Camp

The experience at this luxury tented camp was nothing short of wonderful. Truly a dream. We arrived there after a camel ride of about an hour and a half, in the late afternoon. First, we watched the sunset (with some amazing photos taken by our guide!!!), an experience we’ll always cherish. Then we reached the tented camp in time for dinner (excellent and delicious!!) and in the morning we saw an incredible sunrise, with the sand dunes turning increasingly golden against a blue sky. Spectacular. After a great breakfast, the owner drove us back to the meeting point with our guide, driving through the dunes: a super fun experience! Het was een schitterende locatie en het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten was lekker en we hadden nog een kampvuur met muziek erna.

Uiteindelijk bleek dat er nog vervoer naar de locatie bijbetaald moest worden, wat wij niet wisten. Dit vervoer was per persoon prijziger dan het verblijf zelf voor twee personen.

Zeer comfortabel en geweldig kamp in de woestijn Groot kamp met zeer comfortabele bedden, een geweldige douche en badkamer, en een erg goed diner. De service was uitstekend en het kampvuur met traditionele muziek was ontzettend gezellig. We hebben gedanst, naar de sterren gekeken en konden zelfs de Melkweg zien. Dank je wel!

De wifi was beperkt, maar eerlijk gezegd hielp het ons om even los te komen van de buitenwereld en volop te genieten van de rustige sfeer van de Sahara. We zouden zeker terugkomen

From the moment we booked, everything was very well organized. Rachid, the camp owner, contacted us on WhatsApp with detailed information about the transportation options, the meeting point, and the parking area where we could safely leave our car. We chose the jeep transfer from the parking area to the camp and back the following morning, which was convenient and comfortable. We also took the camel ride from the camp to watch the sunset, and it was a wonderful experience. I really appreciated how smoothly everything was arranged, and the clear communication made the entire visit easy and stress-free

La mejor experiencia que tuvimos en Marruecos, vale 1000% ir hasta Maerzouga y qiedarse en este hotel, la atencion de su dueño y todo el personal fue increible, recomiendo hacer el tour de los Dromedarios ya desde el camp, que es solo 45 minutos, es nas que suficiente para la experiencia sin tener que durar mas de dos horas sobre el camello que no es nada comodo, llegamos al campamento y lo primero que te dan es el traje tipico de ellos y luego fuimos a cenar, para termianr la noche disfrutando de la musica Berbere junto a una fogata en la noche. Y a la mañana siguiente desayunamos muy rico, para luego hacer la excursion en Dromedario, luego nos llevaron a conocer los campamentos Berberes originales y las plantaciones de la zona. Tambien rentamos la excursion de moto cuatro ruedas y fue genial. Amigo te dije en persona que eres el mejor de Marruecos y ahora lo ratifico por aqui. 1000 puntos para ti.

Niesamowite miejsce na środku pustyni. Namioty duże i wyposażone w prywatną lazienkę. Obsługa niesamowicie pomocna i uczynna. Kolacja sztos. Śniadania proste, ale bardzo dobre. Polecam.

Magnifique camp de luxe, service exceptionnel.

No tengo palabras para lo increíble que ha sido la experiencia aquí. Mustafa y compañía nos hicieron sentir como en casa desde el minuto 1, haciendo que nuestra estancia en el desierto fuera inolvidable e increíble. El sitio está muy bien ubicado, en medio de las dunas. La cena y el desayuno estaban deliciosos y se notaba que estaban preparados con mucho cariño. Por la noche Mustafa y compañía tocaron instrumentos alrededor de una hoguera que hicierom y fue un momento muy mágico. Tb recomiendo madrugar para ver el amanecer porque no tiene precio. Hay que tener en cuenta que si vais en coche hay que dejarlo en una ubicación que te envían ellos (muy fiable y segura) y al campamento te trasladan en jeep o en camello, pero tiene un precio extra. Recomiendo este sitio sin dudarlo, no te arrepentirás.

Pasamos mucha calor por la noche ya que no había aire acondicionado, solo un ventilador, y no pudimos dormir. Pero supongo que no es buena época para ir al desierto.

Campamento muy completo, con mucho encanto, con todas las comodidades y muy limpio. La cena riquísima y el personal muy simpático y agradable. La decoración espectacular, ubicado junto a las dunas para ver la puesta de sol en dromedario y música en directo junto a la hoguera !!!por la noche.

Vi hadde en helt fantastisk opplevelse på Horizon Camp i Merzouga. Fra det øyeblikket vi ankom, ble vi varmt tatt imot av Mostafa, som driver campen sammen med sin venn, som også heter Mostafa. Vi dro på en kameltur og prøvde sandboarding, en flott start på kvelden og en perfekt introduksjon til ørkenopplevelsen. Middagen var utsøkt, spesielt tajinene, laget med ferske råvarer fra dagen og tilberedt på stedet. Maten var virkelig av høy kvalitet. Etter middagen kunne vi varme oss rundt bålet ute i en hyggelig og avslappet atmosfære. Eierne av campen kom og ble med oss – de tar seg av alt selv, fra matlaging til musikk – og ga oss en utrolig opplevelse med tradisjonelle trommer. Vi sang sammen med dem og fikk til og med prøve å spille gnawa-instrumenter. Opplevelsen var magisk og autentisk, et ekte minne fra ørkenen. Rommene er romslige, svært rene og tilbyr komfort på nivå med et femstjerners hotell, selv om vi befant oss midt i den marokkanske ørkenen i Merzouga. En uforglemmelig opplevelse som vi anbefaler på det varmeste.

Pasamos 1 noche en un campamento del Sahara y terminó siendo una de las mejores experiencias de nuestro viaje por Marruecos. Las tiendas son hermosas, muy cómodas, y el baño realmente se siente como el de un hotel boutique en medio del desierto. Las vistas de las dunas son impresionantes, especialmente al amanecer y al atardecer. Lo que más nos impresionó fue el equilibrio: realmente te sientes inmerso en el Sahara, pero con un nivel de comodidad y organización inesperado. Y la comida... ¡guau! Sin duda, algunas de las mejores comidas que probamos en Marruecos. Cada cena parecía refinada, creativa y preparada con muchísimo cuidado; sinceramente, con un nivel digno de un restaurante Michelin en medio del desierto. Por la noche, la música tradicional alrededor de la hoguera hizo que toda la experiencia fuera aún más especial. Un enorme agradecimiento a Mustafa, que fue absolutamente increíble de principio a fin. Amable, atento, divertido y siempre asegurándose de que todos tuvieran la mejor experiencia posible. Si vas al Sahara y buscas algo realmente memorable, este es el lugar ideal.

The desert camp was fantastic I arrived by 4x4 while my daughter enjoyed a camel ride to the camp. We witnessed a magnificent sunset over the dunes, followed by a generous and delicious dinner. In the evening, we gathered around the campfire to enjoy traditional Berber songs and music. Our room for two was very large, beautiful, and comfortable. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. It is a family-run camp, which creates a warm and authentic atmosphere. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this unforgettable desert expérience

It was a little bit Hot but no complain

Quel endroit merveilleux pour découvrir le désert. L’accueil à notre arrivée était chaleureux et très serviable, et cela est resté ainsi tout au long de notre séjour de 2 nuits. L’endroit est paisible, calme et reposant. La tente était bien équipée et d’une propreté irréprochable. Le dîner était excellent, différent chaque soir et tout aussi délicieux. L’équipe a même organisé un gâteau pour l’anniversaire de ma femme, ce qui a été un très beau moment partagé avec eux, accompagné d’une animation aux tambours ce soir-là. Nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité-prix était très bon et nous recommandons vivement ce camp. Tariken et toute l’équipe n’auraient pas pu être plus accueillants. Merci beaucoup

An absolute 10/10 experience! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The camps are incredibly modern and stylish, offering all the comforts you could need in the middle of the desert. Une expérience 5 étoiles incroyable qui a dépassé mes attentes. Le camp était confortable et toute l'expérience était inoubliable. Le service client était exceptionnel du jour où nous avons été pris en charge à l'aéroport jusqu'au moment où nous avons été déposés. Notre guide Rachid était sympathique, professionnel et compétent. Mustafa et Mohamed étaient également très professionnels et compétents. Fortement recommandé pour ceux qui recherchent une aventure mémorable dans le désert.

Das Camp befindet sich am Anfang der Dünen bzw. der Sahara. Das Essen ( Frühstück und Abendessen) war hervorragend. Wir waren 2 Nächte im Camp. Aus diesem Grund haben wir nach der 1. Nacht eine Jeep Tour und eine Quadtour gebucht. Beide Fahrten waren schön und sehr informativ. Ganz billig sind diese Ausflüge nicht, jedoch macht man das ja wahrscheinlich nur einmal im Leben. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und zu vorkommend. Nach dem Abendessen hat das Personal noch Musik gemacht und gesungen. Die Zelte sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Es war eine wunderschöne heiße Zeit in der Wüste.

Die Transportkosten vom Parkplatz zum Camp sind nicht gerade günstig bezogen auf die Verhältnisse in Marokko.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Wüstencamp war einfach unglaublich und definitiv das Highlight unserer einmonatigen Reise! Vor unserer Ankunft waren wir ehrlich gesagt etwas nervös, weil wir viele schlechte Bewertungen über Wüstencamps allgemein gelesen hatten. Aber alle Zweifel sind schnell verschwunden. Die Menschen hier sind unglaublich herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Personal kümmert sich ständig darum, dass es einem an nichts fehlt und fragt immer nach, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Camp selbst ist wunderschön gelegen - direkt am Fuß der Wüste, ruhig und abseits von der Stadt. Da das Camp relativ klein ist, im vergleich zu andere, ist es angenehm leise und nicht überlaufen. Die familiäre Atmosphäre hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Unser Zelt war riesig, super sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Man merkt sofort wie viel Wert hier auf Komfort gelegt wird. Besonders praktisch fanden wir auch die zusätzliche Hütte mit natürlicher Klimatisierung, die man jederzeit tagsüber nutzen kann, wenn es im Zelt zu warm wird. Das Essen verdient ebenfalls eine besondere Erwähnung: Es war einfach fantastisch! Wir haben selten so viel und so gut gegessen. Die Portionen sind großzügig und alles war unglaublich lecker. Außerdem wird bereits im Vorfeld gefragt, ob man vegetarisch oder vegan isst, was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Auch die Organisation war perfekt. Alles verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, dass man uns sogar spontan zu einem Hotelpool gefahren hat, damit wir vor unserer Quad-Tour noch etwas am Wasser entspannen konnten. Dieser Service war absolut nicht selbstverständlich und hat unseren Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht. Wer ein authentisches familiäres, ruhiges und hervorragend organisiertes Wüstencamp sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können diesen Ort von ganzem Herzen empfehlen!

This was good experience, the camp is well organized and very comfortable. Everyone is helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable, and we were provided with a lot of options about how we want to spend our time in the desert.

We booked a day tour in the camp, and in general the tour was good, we visited interesting places, but our guide, or how he presented himself - driver, was more actually a driver, then a guide. He wasn’t really interested much about what he is talking about and often if you ask something, the response would be simple.

We stayed at camp , , was far more than just a night in the Sahara. It was a complete immersion in beauty, calm, generosity, and wonder. The kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave. From the very first moment, as the dunes rose like soft golden waves around us, everything felt intentional and deeply cared for. Arrival by camel or 4x4 felt almost ceremonial, as the desert slowly absorbed the noise of the world. The camp is perfectly located among the dunes, remote enough to feel timeless, yet warm and welcoming. The tents are stunning: spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. They offer real comfort while remaining respectful of the desert environment. Comfortable beds, beautiful textiles, spotless bathrooms, and an incredible sense of silence. Sunset over the dunes was breathtaking, followed by an exceptional dinner of traditional Moroccan dishes, fragrant and lovingly prepared. The evening by the fire, with music, drums, and singing under a sky full of stars, was truly unforgettable. Rachid and his team deserve special mention. They are kind, attentive, discreet, and genuinely warm. Nothing felt forced or artificial, just sincere and generous hospitality. Waking up at the foot of the dunes, with soft morning light filling the tent, was pure magic. We would return without hesitation and will carry these nights in the desert with us for a very long time.

Amazing camp. Food was very good. The camel and quad is a must do for a full experience. Staff was very friendly. Tip for future guests, take some eye drops with you because you can get sand in your eyes when there is alot of wind.

We stayed one night, so we had the opportunity to enjoy a sunset and a sunrise. Excellent accommodation and impeccable food! A typical amazing breakfast! and the accompaniment with music on the night of the moon, complete a beautiful program in the dunes. The staff always attentive. The rooms very well equipped, clean and with everything. We had a long journey riding the dromedaries, the animals were tired and so were we although it was very beautiful the landscape.

Das Essen war durchschnittlich....und es war sehr laut . Lag daran ,das das Camp am Rand der Wüste liegt. Wenn es auch nur die Hühner,Hunde, Ziegen waren....

Mooie grote tenten met heerlijke brede bedden. Het ontbijt en diner worden op locatie gemaakt en waren heerlijk. In de avond maakt het personeel een kampvuur en wordt er muziek gemaakt en gezongen, wat erg gezellig is. Vanaf het kamp kan je zelf de duinen in lopen voor zonsondergang en zonsopkomst.

Dat je pas 2 dagen van tevoren informatie krijgt over het ophaalpunt en de opties van transport (via Whatsapp). We ontvingen geen reactie op vragen via de chat in Booking.com. Het kost verplicht €70 per persoon om met een jeep of kameel bij het kamp te komen.

What a magical place, the staff were excellent and accommodating. They served us a welcome tea and snacks. The food was delicious, each meal was different and our whole party enjoyed it very much. We spent two nights, in the evening the staff played live music for us and we enjoyed a fire. We would recommend staying here. The camp was also very clean for being in the desert. The ride to the camp was also very fun, as you must traverse the sand dunes to get there. Take advantage of a camel ride at sunset for some breathtaking pictures

L'organizzazione ha funzionato molto bene. Arrivavamo in macchina da Fez e ci hanno atteso al punto di ritrovo pronti per prendere i nostri dromedari per andare al campo. Guide molto simpatiche durante la passeggiata di circa 2 ore nel deserto. Tenda familiare da 5 posti accogliente, pulita e in generale il campo molto curato. Tramonto, alba, cena e fuoco e musiche berbere ...tutto bello anche se la sensazione è un po' quella del villaggio turistico.

Abbiamo dovuto pagare tutto in contanti considerando che il trasferimento in dromedario all'andata è jeep al ritorno non è proprio economico.

Alles war sehr gut organisiert, damit die Gäste ein traumhaftes Erlebnis haben. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen mit traditioneller Küche war alles ausgezeichnet. Kamelreiten und die ATV-Tour in der Sahara mit professionellen Führern sollte man unbedingt erleben. Es war etwas sehr Außergewöhnliches. Der Aufenthalt war sehr komfortabel, da die Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet waren.

Unfortunately later we found out that the local camel “contractors” who walk with you when you ride in the desert get paid almost nothing out the 60EUR the hotel charges for the camel ride. That left a bitter taste of the experience as one would hope the tourist money benefits all the community and not mostly the hotel chains..

El coste del traslado al hotel debiera estar incluido en el precio e informado desde el momento de la reserva. Para 5 personas, el coste de ir en jeep fue 3 veces superior al precio de la noche con cena y desayuno incluido. El coste en camellos es aún mayor

Sehr nettes Personal, sehr zuvorkommend. Alles genau wie beschrieben. Wir hatten uns schon gefragt, wie wir zum Camp kommen würden und wurden dann automatisch unaufgefordert am Vortag per Whatsapp kontaktiert, wie wir zum Camp gelangen wollen und wo der Treffpunkt ist. Im Angebot waren verschiedene Varianten aus Kamelritt, Jeepfahrt und Quadtour. Jede Variante kostete 70€ p.P. (Stand 04/26). Wir haben uns für einen Kamelritt und eine Jeepfahrt entschieden. Alles hat problemlos funktioniert.

Всичко беше перфектно! Като се започне с организацията по придвижването до кампа, вечерята, програмата, нощувката и закуската. Стаите са огромни. Леглата бяха изключително удобни. Препоръчвам горещо!

Be only careful that on top of the room price you have to pay on top cash 60eur/person to go back and forth from the parking to the desert camp. We went by camel and were back by jeep. Despite the price it was a nice experience

Namioty były bardzo czyste, przestronne i ładnie urządzone, pomimo tego że noc była zimna, w środku było ciepło i przytulnie. Jedzenie smaczne i w ilości zadowalającej nawet największych obżartuchów. Personel był bardzo miły i pomocny.

Wieczór przy muzyce bardzo szybko się skończył, w sąsiednich campach było słychać muzykę jeszcze przez długi czas.

Es war das Highlight unserer Reise. Wir haben zwei Nächte in der Wüste verbracht und hatten richtig Glück mit dem Wetter. Wir haben Sanddünen Surfing gemacht und sind mit dem Quad durch die Wüste gefahren. Das Personal war mega freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wichtig für alle Apple Besitzer, in den Zelten gibt es nur USB Anschluss zum Laden. Man kann dann aber im großen Zelt seine Geräte mit Steckdose laden.

Pernottamento in tenda luxury nel deserto molto piacevole e in linea con le altre strutture della zona. Ottima l’accoglienza e il servizio dello staff, sempre gentile e disponibile.

Unico aspetto da segnalare il costo: a fronte di un prezzo iniziale del pernottamento apparentemente vantaggioso, il transfer in jeep dal parcheggio alla tenda si è rivelato molto caro, arrivando a costare circa il doppio della notte e incidendo in modo significativo sul totale. Nel complesso, comunque, esperienza positiva e suggestiva.

Een fantastische ervaring, van ontvangst met thee en koekjes, het eten, de keurige tent met veel ruimte, genoeg dekens en schoon. Geweldig was de avond met kampvuur en muziek. Het personeel was aardig en behulpzaam.

Het enige is de communicatie. Toen we de tent gingen boeken was niet duidelijk dat je niet bij de tent komt zonder een kameel te boeken. Dit hadden ze als opmerkingen moeten toevoegen aan de tekst als je de tent boekt en ook op welk tijdstip je wordt verwacht.

El sitio como tal está muy bien. Habitación muy amplia, cama muy cómoda y con suficientes mantas. La cena y el desayuno excelentes. El personal muy atento. Bien pegado a las dunas, en el borde. Por aclarar: no está en medio de las dunas, sino en el borde opuesto a Merzouga (por la ubicación que dan en maps, parece que esté en el medio). Los campamentos como este están juntos, al otro lado de las dunas. La experiencia de ir en Jeep y volver en camello, aunque pagando extra, nos gustó, es divertido porque te cruzan las dunas subiendo y bajando y recorriendo un poco.

Recuerda sumar el desplazamiento al lugar. Ida y vuelta (en nuestro caso, febrero 2026) 60€ por persona (camello y/o Jeep). No negociable y te indican que no hay otra forma de llegar (con el coche no nos hubiéramos metido por los caminos exteriores, eso es cierto). Habíamos visto otros precios en los comentarios, pero por lo que sea, ahora nos cobraron eso.

Jízda na dromedárovi se západem slunce. Milé uvítání v campu tradičně čajem. Ubytování, večeře, večerní program, snídaně a odvoz zpět k hotelu, kde můžete bezplatné zaparkovat a nechat uložené zavazadla. ÚŽASNÝ PERSONÁL.

It was an amazing experience. The camp is very nice, the dinner and breakfast were delicious. Every activity was organized perfectly (we took the jeep to go and come back from merzouga and the camel ride at the sunset). I highly recommend this structure! Top !

Che esperienza fantastica! Il campo è in una posizione meravigliosa, proprio sulle dune di sabbia con nessun altro campo in vista. Le tende sono confortevoli con buoni servizi. Il cibo era gustoso e l'intrattenimento serale accanto al fuoco, ascoltando i ragazzi che suonavano la batteria e cantavano, sotto un milione di stelle era magico. Se l'alcol è importante per te, dovrai portare il tuo perché il campo non ha un permesso. Molte grazie a Rachid e la sua squadra-abbiamo avuto un soggiorno brillante.

Amazing Experience! Mohammed greeted us upon arrival and made sure our entire stay was perfect. We enjoyed the spectacular desert sunset and sunrise with the attentive support of the team at the Merzouga Horizon camp. Mustafa guided us to unforgettable spots to enjoy the scenery and take beautiful photos. Upon returning to camp, we had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed Berber music under the stars. This smaller, personal camp has a great location, and its size helps ensure you do not experience the large party environment of some of the larger camps.We wanted to combine our desert visit with additional exploring before heading to Marrakesh. Rachid helped us arrange transportation and gave us great advice on our itinerary. His advice and expertise were invaluable.

El campamento de lujo Merzouga Horizon fue una experiencia increíble. Ojalá tuviéramos más noches allí, pero no podríamos haber tenido más suerte ya que el cielo estaba despejado para nuestra noche allí. ¡Nunca había visto tantas estrellas en toda mi vida! Fue hermoso. El personal era increíble y acogedor. Las tiendas eran hermosas y cómodas, y tenían todas las comodidades que necesitábamos. La comida era deliciosa. Recomendaría este campamento a cualquiera.
