Reviewed Sep 19, 2026I liked how clean the place was and that the kitchen operated well. I also liked that there were chairs outside where we could sit to stargaze.
The property next door was seemingly vacant but had their outdoor lights on so we couldn’t stargaze, which was a big reason we booked this unit.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026in the midst of a blizzard, Bliss was truly a sanctuary for our daughter traveling through New Zealand, not only relief from the closed roads all around her, but awakening to the mountains framing the lake blanketed by the fresh white brush nature released. Wonderful serene property and Martina could not have been more kind guiding our daughter into her stay. With gratitude, thanks to you both!

Reviewed Aug 7, 2025Nice little house. Electric blanket on bed was very welcomed by me as was the little heater in bathroom because it was really cold outside. Location was nice and quiet.
I felt that it was a bit chilly if you weren't in direct line of the heat pump. Bedrooms and kitchen were not heated. Hot water ran out before one us had finished showering before going out for dinner which we're not used to at home.

I came here with my parents and they 100% loved this stay. everything we needed was there, host is very thoughtful.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2025Single house so no shared walls. Very equippted with everything. Not in town centre, this results a bonus - quiet and almost no lights. Yes, can see the milky way and nice sunsets. Bed a little bit soft like all in NZ. >> However, there is a big fault.... The entrance and the balcony faces the sun from morning till evening, making it useless to sit outside, and the curtains must be closed, otherwise it's getting really hot inside.

Reviewed Nov 29, 2024John and Martina's hospitality was the best. They gave us sightseeing advice before we arrived, and thanks to them we were able to make the best plans. The location of the accommodation is quiet and has a great view. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. And you can taste the best coffee from the number one coffee roaster in the Southern Hemisphere.
