Food was average. Drinks were VERY expensive £13 for an Aperol spritz. Most expensive i ever paid. £12.50 for very average Malbec! Too much.

Beautiful building in a lovely setting.

Our room had a wasps nest right next to the window which meant we couldn’t open the window. (We did report this ) The extractor fan in our bathroom wasn’t working which meant the bathroom was steamed up for quite a long time, making it difficult to do your make up as mirror steamed up. The bedside lamp was wired up to the main bedroom light which meant a bright light overhead when trying to read at bedtime.

Lovely staff, really welcoming and helpful. Beautiful grounds, couldn't have hoped for more! Great walks to be had from here, through Deffer Woods, over to Cannon Hall and lots more. Denby Dale train station was about a 30 minute walk so it's easily accessible even without a car. The breakfast is great value and I wished I could fit more in! A cooked hot breakfast(accommodating veggies well), fresh warm pastries, fruit, cereals, juices, toast... all you could wish for. Very happy to see the biscuits on the tea tray in my room were replenished every day :D Comfy bed, best nights sleep I've had in a very long time.

The decor in my room was quite dated and the view of the car park meant a lot of toing and froing outside my window. But at £69 a night for somewhere in such lovely grounds this was fine. I imagine if you get the higher end rooms they are a level up.

Da, wo unsere Zimmer ware, blickte man direkt auf die Mülltonnen. Die könnte man hinter einem Zaun o. ä. verstecken. Das Continental-Frühstück war leider nicht so toll. Ein gutes Brot und ein guter Kaffee wären schon ein guter Anfang.

Lakeside rooms for the money were in need if refurbishment. TV was old...Windows looked rotten.. beds very small..not worth the money

Bagden Hall Hotel is a lovely place to unwind. Charming building, peaceful grounds, and genuinely friendly staff. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, breakfast is excellent, and the whole atmosphere makes your stay feel special. A spot you leave already planning to return. A special thank you to all the staff, especially Will the bar man.

The room is a bit too simple, no Aircon and the shower is not up-to-date. There are no sockets near the bed.

The location was good the hotel staff where very pleasant and helpful. The setting was perfect. The gardens where lovely.

1)When we stayed there was a Prom on. Unfortunately we had to walk through where they where serving food to get to patio area which was not very good. The weather was extremely hot. 2) Asked for an Americano and was told they had no beans. Would say this was unacceptable considering the size of the hotel.

We loved the hotel fabulous countryside nice lake area to walk around .huge grounds to explore. Lovely patio area with great views. Lots of car parking.

There was a wedding on so could not sit outside on the nice patio so could make the area at the front of the hotel more appealing and even have chairs on the lawned area at the front of the hotel like there used to be and nice cushioned chairs to make it more chic.

Amazing room, had Suite one at the front of the building, very comfortable bed.

The food wasn’t that great and we had to go to the shop local shop for my daughter’s dessert as there were no lactose free options. It was a nice evening walk though.

I stayed at Bagden Hall after being temporarily without an address due to a fire. The staff were absolutely amazing, very supportive and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The breakfast was stunning and served at the table in a gorgeous setting. I cannot thank the staff enough for their help and support,

Great care taken of us from arrival to departure. Including dog treats and water bowls for the pooch. Great facility and super menu.

The hotel was good, our room was excellent, with a very comfortable bed and walk in shower. It also had two chairs.

The food was OK, not a lot if choice their idea of seasonal vegetables were peas, unless you wanted to pay quite a bit more for basic other ones. At breakfast we had to keep asking for cereals and bread to be filled up, also on our last breakfast nobody asked if we would like a cooked breakfast. When we arrived we had various toasted sandwiches all of which were very poor for the cost, I would say they were the worst sandwiches I have ever had in a hotel, dry, poorly filled, and a salad garnish consisted of Lettuce only.

Lovely location with beautiful grounds. Lots of character to the building. Delicious food, with plenty of choice on the menu. Staff were friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

The whole place is lovely. The food was excellent and the staff are absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely stay there again. Wonderful place, beautiful setting and great value for money.

Everything was perfect.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable with breathable bedding. The bathroom facilities were spotless and very well kept. From the moment I arrived the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast service was quick and efficient and the food itself was excellent. Checkout was easy and friendly. The staff here are of the highest standards.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property

Room was really clean and bed was very comfortable. Everything you needed in the room. Iron, hairdryer, fan etc. Breakfast was fabulous. Lots of choice and very well cooked. Staff were exceptional. Friendly, professional and helpful. Grounds are beautiful.

3 star because hotel decor is tired and carpets quite worn etc. With investment it could be absolutely incredible.

Some of the glass in the windows require to be replaced as it was difficult to see out of them in our room.

The constant droning humming noise that seemed louder at night. Extortionately expensive wine and no Yorkshire ales/bitters on tap. View spoiled by constant condensation on windows. Very awkward to use shower as rail too short.

The setting is beautiful - scenic with many trees, plants and walking paths. Staff are welcoming; the room was lovely, spacious and cosy, also the breakfasts were great!

Some parts need upgrading but a lovely comfy stay in a beautiful old hall hotel.

We stayed in lake side cottages just down a small lane they were lovely and woke up to bird song so very good We ate at the restaurant and the food was good quality and arrived quickly. Breakfast was exceptional the ingredients were delicious and was great value for money

Our room was the first at the top of the stairs with the outside door just below we were woken with the door banging every time people came in .

Lovely helpful polite staff. We were offered a free upgrade to our room as soon as we arrived, unsure why but it was great. Also offered breakfast at a fab price, don't know how they can provide such a delicious breakfast for the cost. We ate the restaurant in the evening, again really attentive staff and nice food. The room was huge, had a bath and separate shower, lovely and warm too.

There's nothing not to like, we booked on a deal price WOW.

We ordered the full english breakfast, and it was very nice, and with plenty of choices as was with the continental breakfast. The bedroom was spacious and came with an electric fan which came in very handy due to the heat. Not much choice on the dinner menu, but, it was very nice what we ordered.
