View was amazing. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Nothing was a problem.
Spotlessly clean and very quiet

Beautiful room, excellent location just a 10 minute walk from town and able to charge the car. Lovely breakfast and very welcoming owners.

I booked this place last minute as I was photographing the area. It ended up being a nice surprise. The hotel is beautiful! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the dining room area we had breakfast in was quaint and lovely. The hotel is up on the hill a bit, and had a beautiful view of the castle. This is parking on site and they even had a EV charger. You can walk down to the town, but it is a bit of a walk up and down the hill. The town gets very quiet at night and although a huge tourist destination, I had a hard time finding a place for dinner. The room and the bathroom at the hotel was nice and spacious. I did make the mistake of not checking to see if there was a blowdryer before hoping in the shower, so I had to call down and get one. But they were great and brought it right up, I just had to get redressed first. Just an FYI for you ladies.
plush big rooms with modern bathrooms on the small side, common living room with free whiskey taste, full set of bathroom utilities, salah was very helpful, our room had view of rock of cashel
The house is renovated to a high standard which compliments the original building and surroundings. The views from the house are just amazing. The staff are warm and inviting. The rooms are really comfy and the bed are great quality and comfort
L'accoglienza calorosa. Colazione ottima in una stanza d'altri tempi.

The view and it was very quiet at night The size of the room breakfast and the coffee was excellent Salah was VERY attentive, friendly, supportive and met all our needs Robes Bone China teacups!!!
Didn't know how to operate the shower drain
Within close proximity to town centre. Large comfortable room with very clean comfortable facilities. Extremely attentive and friendly hosts.

5 minute walk to the town centre, clean, well decorated and furnished helpful staff, lovely garden and plenty of parking. Highly recommend
Nothing to dislike
This property is exquisite, with attention to detail top-notch. The room and bed was very comfortable with extras that were very much appreciated: fresh milk for the Nespresso coffee, water and treats in the room. Salah’s communication before and during our stay was excellent. The proximity to the town centre is convenient and a lovely walk for able bodies, or a quick drive.
The bathroom was tight but not unusual for many of our stays in Ireland. It was very clean and well equipped, though!
Arriving on one of the warmest days of the years, it was nice to be met at reception with a cold apple juice or the option of a cold lemon/mint water. The staff were most help and happy to share so much knowledge about things to do in the area. The room was immaculate and the view is of the Rock of Cashel is amazing especially at night when its lit up. The staff even brought us fresh milk for teas and coffees.
It wasn't an issue for us but there is a little bit of a hill (as the name suggests) climb when coming back up from the town.
Locatia ingrijita , aproape de castel Personalul amabil Micul dejun bun
Am gasit niste sosete sub pat Lenjeria necalcata
The house was beautiful. The room spectacular with very comfortable bed, elegant sheets. The room itself was spacious and equipped with nice chairs. We had a room upstairs with a view of the Rock that was lit up at night. SInce it was raining and we didn't go see it at night it was nice to be able to look at it. It is a short walk to the Rock but quite an uphill walk back. We didn't do it in the morning because the person there said we had to check out on time.. see below. Breakfast was big and very tasty
I had read online how nice the hostess was so I was probably even more upset that I normally would have been for the host. FIrst of all we were the only ones at the hotel.. so that felt a bit odd. When we arrived the man ushered us around quickly and then left. In the morning, he gave us breakfast with minimal conversation.. no suggestions. The coffee machine was a bit complicated but he never told us how to use it. When we asked if we could go down to the Rock and come back and get our luggage..given no one was there.. he said no we had to check out on time. I honestly can say he was the least warm and welcoming person I met in our trip to Ireland.
Loved this mansion on the hill! Large room, comfortable beds and extraordinary view of the Rock of Cashel. Veronica was so kind, friendly and helpful- thank you for a wonderful stay!!
Beautiful setting and very helpful staff. I would recommend this place. The town was easy walking distance
The tv didn’t work but not a big deal
Had a really lovely stay at Hill House. Very peaceful and comfortable. Will stay again.
Beautiful room . House was quite close to Rock of Cashel, literally on the next hill over and was also walking distance to a number of restaurants in Cashel. Breakfast was great, with ample choice of fruit and breads and great hot food prepared to order. Hi
Recomendable!!!
Beautiful
Lovely house, well decorated and maintained. Beautiful views over the Rock of Cashel. Staff were attentive and helpful and delicious full breakfast in the morning.
Very satisfied with everything.
Loved the view and location. The room was nice
The employee who greeted us didn’t know English well enough to answer our questions. The bathroom is tiny.
The host was so awesome made a fire for me and my wife as we played cards in the sitting room brought us cookies and drinks great place to stay
It’s a very charming establishment with a fanstastic view of the Rock.
We stayed two nights at Hill House Cashel and were extremely impressed! We later learnt this beautiful boutique B&B received the blessing of the Brennan brothers of RTE’s TV show “At Your Service”. Hotelier Francis Brennan is local to us in Kenmare so a respected nod. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated and thoughtfully furnished with every guest comfort in mind ~ large quality beds, fine bed linens, plush towels and bathrobes. We enjoyed stunning views of the Rock of Cashel from our room. Owner Veronica's communication was excellent and staff were warm and welcoming. We travel through often and look forward to returning to Hill House Cashel again and again!
The green light on the ceiling was the only distraction, yet did not interfere with our sleep.
The view of the rock of Cashel was stunning, the room beautifully presented, clean and tidy. Water, kettle and coffee machine in the room. The bed was very comfortable! The shower pressure was brilliant. The furniture was beautiful. The living room downstairs with the fireplace is a lovely idea very clean and comfortable, warm and welcoming. Cashel is a lovely town about 8mins walk away downhill, more coming back after dinner and a few drinks in the local pubs! The house is beautiful and very tastefully renovated. It was so cozy and warm. Lots of CCTV so very safe. The rooms are huge. Everything was very clean.
There was no internet. I appreciate it's an old house with thick walls and they're not long post renovation, but the TV didn't work and the WiFi didn't work. The man did try and connect his phone to the TV to make it work but it still didn't stretch. But was very kind of him none the less. I was really looking forward to relaxing after walking back up the hill with TV on and a gin and tonic. I didn't have very good 5g either at the time for some reason and I a,m on roaming so it really wasn't massively convenient especially as I was relying on the promise of internet for medical reasons. (Libre family app) The front of the toilet needed some attention to detail, I cleaned it but there was some suspect dusty brown yellow dribbles down it. Everything else was spotless though.
Room was lovely and comfortable
The breakfast was not what we expected no full Irish we got boiled eggs and croissants with cheese filling not very good had yogurts and berries if that's what you like but we left breakfast not happy at all
Staff room lactation was first class.. lovely open fire and a table with complementary whiskey and gin was a nice touch.. Decor was really nice especially the wallpaper really good job…
Great location, ambiance, appointments and staff. A short walk to the heart of the village and the Rock. Everything in the room was new and clean. Rooms are spacious and had a nice view.
Room was comfortable and spacious and clean. Bathroom was a very compact but that was OK for one night. We were the only guests and didn't get to meet the host so had no face to face contact with staff other than the lady who was there cleaning on our arrival (who was very helpful). Location is great, a short walk into the village and to the Rock of Cashel.
There was a very bright green light on the ceiling (an smoke detector maybe?), bright enough to disturb my sleep.
The rooms were spacious and lovely. Big comfortable beds with good Egyptian cotton sheets, coffee machine etc. A very special shout out to Mai, who was running the hotel, she was brilliant and lovely. She made my stay special, the breakfast was lovely and she couldn’t do enough for me - seriously 5* for Mai. Friendly warm and welcoming.
The door handles came off four times during my stay, the doors do not shut properly. Whilst the rooms have been done up and modernised, it is still evident it is old and worn and with things such as the doors I think this is a key element of safety that needs to be addressed. It is on a really steep hill (clue is in the name I guess!) but it made travelling into town difficult for events / evenings (I was here for a wedding). If you are wearing flat shoes you will be fine up and down the hill but it meant sadly I had to pay for several taxis up and down in my shoes and with my luggage. Whilst I enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable and Mai was perfect in hosting me, when I compare it to friends who stayed in the hotel in town for similar price I am not convinced of the VFM.
Quiet, large, clean property with easy parking.
Emergency light on the ceiling had a bright green light, bugged me when falling asleep. Only minor thing I could find.
The hostess Veronica is very friendly, social and helpful with suggestions on where to find local trad music and eat. The mansion renovation is brand new and the view of the Rock of Cashel Castle is breathtaking by day and night from the Hill where the bnb sits. The castle is lit at night and it inspires the splendilatude of staying next to the lit Colosseum in Rome at night. The feeling is one of living at its best. Easy access by lockbox and kitchen as well as living room available and easy checkout.
A longer stay.
Lovely comfortable big bed, lush carpet which made the room more cosy on a cold rainy night. Stunning view of Rock of Cashel. Host very helpful and quick to respond.
So relaxed there. Fantastic setting. Room was amazing. May was a sheer delight. Great breakfast, fresh bread and jams.
Nothing!🤣

Wonderful location on a hill overlooking Cashel. Beautiful exterior and interior! Very tasteful decor and comfortable bed!
Rock of Cashel!

The rooms, the view, the bed, the bathroom, everything was exceptional! We were welcomed by Veronica, who gave us a nice tour and explained the history of the house. She gave us some recommendations to have dinner which she was absolutely right about (The Cellar Bar at Bailey's was very good). So our stay was off to a very nice start. In the morning, we were served by Mae, who was so friendly and nice. The breakfast was absolutely perfect. Even pancakes were available! If you come to Cashel, this is where you need to stay! Ps: my wife felt truly like we were the Lady and the Lord when staying here ;)
Lovely Irish country house, beautifully decorated and within walking distance to the lovely town of Cashel. The room was gorgeous with the most comfortable bed. We’ll definitely come back!
Nothing
The room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable (and enormous), and the views out the window were marvellous. Mae was lovely and made everything super easy. Breakky was delicious, and it was a really lovely time overall!
Nothing!
Everything was wonderful! The house is fantastic, the room is as beautiful as it is comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and our caretaker, Mai, was very kind and pleasant. Everything was perfect!
We loved everything
Gorgeous place to stay and I can say it was the best place in Ireland.
Absolutely gorgeous location and could walk to town. Host was wonderful.
Great location provides an easy walk, ride or drive to town and attractions coupled with on-site quiet day and night. Large and well-decorated rooms, comfy lounge areas, nice garden and excellent breakfast. Our hostess, Mae, was a delight! So helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. She whipped up a lovely breakfast. We were sad to go and hope to return. Mae is a gem!
They were finishing up renovations while we were there and we never were able to get hot water in the shower.
I really liked Mai the lovely welcoming calm, friendly lady that we met when we checked in and the next morning also. She has excellent interpersonal skills.
The bedroom was cold. The stairs is not suitable for older people, its steep and steps narrow. The breakfast was very poor. The only hot food available was boiled eggs!! No traditional Irish breakfast or omelette available or hot porridge.
Beautiful location, well located, comfortable and the people were helpful and kind
Wonderful BnB. Would recommend highly. Lovely breakfast and great location
Beautiful property with a small number of rooms that were decorated exquisitely. Private parking & entrance, morning breakfast, robes/slippers, friendly guests & hostess. Amazing view from our room of The Rock of Cashel. Would highly recommend & stay again.
Nothing
We had a fabulous stay at Hill House and our host May was lovely. Nothing was too hard for her. The room was a good size. Good sized bed too. Very clean and tidy. The breakfast had a great selection of fruits and cereals and we had toast and boiled eggs to order which were great. I would highly recommend a stay at Hill House Cashel. PS. The sitting had a very nice Whisky for a night cap which was an excellent touch.
Nothing. We had a great stay.
Such a beautiful house with an amazing view!! They made us feel very welcome while we were travelling with our baby, and Veronica (the owner) was very friendly, and super helpful giving us some restaurant recommendations for our next destinations - all of which we ended up going to, and loved! It was also straightforward charging our car, which was so convenient and the breakfast from the local bakery was delicious.
The location is perfect - beautiful hilltop view of the Rock of Cashel, and walk to town. Friendly welcome, beautifully renovated and the rooms were very comfortable.
Parkplatz direkt beim Hotel. Hat uns sehr gefallen.
We loved the fact that nothing was too much trouble and the view from the gardens of cashel rock was quite brilliant!!!
Nothing comes to mind.
Amazing views of the Rock of Cashel, beautiful rooms, delicious and varied breakfast, and Mae who served us breakfast was so lovely and helpful.
Nothing!
Lovely rooms at a great location with a beautiful view on Cashel Rock. Mae was an attentive hostess, welcome us with a lovely smile. Breakfast was fresh and nicely prepared. Mae was super attentive. We will be back. Loved the carpets in the room!
Taking everything into consideration including location, value, room size, staff, view etc this is the best accommodation in Ireland. Thank you to the owner/ staff!
Only negative is that we can't live here!
The interior of the house is quite impressive, almost like a small manor. Nice room with comfy bed, coffee machine and a tiny refrigerator. They have some really tasty whiskey to try and the breakfast was very good. The Lady (May) who is taking care of the place is also really nice and helpful. Next time we're at cashel we'll definatley be staying at hill house again!
Veronica is an excellent hostess, who did the utmost to meet our needs. We loved the way the house was renovated. Colours, fabrics and furniture are chosen with exquisite taste. From the house a stunning view to the Rock of Cashel and the lovely town Cashel with charming restaurants. We recommend this place with at least 7 stars😊
