The attention of all the staff was excellent and the quality of the food was exceptional.
I think there should be some entertainment inside the premises.
amazing host - reached out in advance to clarify a few points about the stay and see if there was anything she could do in advance to make things more comfortable.
nothing!
The view from the balcony of my room was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful in arranging island tours and other activities I was interested in.
Without a car the location was a little isolating. While the taxi drivers were wonderful we were reliant on them to get anywhere even if it was to pick up supplies or run errands. If I were to stay there again, I would definitely arrange for a rental car to have a little more freedom to explore other parts of the island.
I have stayed here before, and I have provided this hotel with a very favorable review before, that should provide some insight into how I feel about this hotel. To my previous review I will add this: Even when this hotel is fully booked to capacity it seems quiet. Everything about the hotel experience is first rate: Wonderful check in procedure, Daily maid service, Ironed sheets and pillow cases, Great showers and water pressure, Good air conditioning, Quiet ocean facing patio for reading and relaxing, A small air conditioned gym for lifting weights or doing yoga, A large clean pool, drinks by the pool all day and a good restaurant. It is very quiet and relaxing because the location is a bit remote. If you are looking for an active vacation on the island of Nevis which might include seeing the local sites and hiking and going to various beaches it would be necessary to have a car.
This is not a negative comment it is just a reality of staying at this hotel. The hotel is located at a bit of elevation so you have a beautiful view looking out across the channel to St Kitts. But each of the entry roads is at least 1/2 a mile long so the remote location of the hotel does not lend itself to walking to various attractions. Car rental seems to be easy on Nevis and a car is necessary if you want to travel to many beaches or restaurants or music or other facilities. That doesn't detract from the hotel experience but it's a reality of fully enjoying your vacation in Nevis.
Location excellent. Breakfast too expensive and every single element all priced separately. Staff helpful
See above re breakfast
This hotel has plenty to offer in its grounds, swimming pool with a view of St Kitts, live music, luscious green grounds with colorful gardens, palm trees, and they are all well maintained. Our bedroom was large and had all the facilities we could have asked for. The food, drinks and bar staff (including reception, cleaning, and maintnence staff, and manager) were all welcoming and polite and wanted to make sure we had a comfortable stay. This was a very peaceful, tranquil, relaxing place to be in. Lots of lovey beaches nearby, if you don't mind the uneaven road surfaces befor you get to them
Access to the grounds is not easy as the entrance road to the hotel property is uneven and full of pot holes. We drove here so we had to be careful not to damage our rental vehicle. We were given room where the AC was faulty, the staff tried hard to accommodate us but the rooms offered were not as nice as we had, so we stayed in our room, it was uncomfortable to sleep in, and also we didn’t want to waste our time in moving to another room as we only had 2 nights stay here, and plenty to do outside.
A tranquil and zen atmosphere with stellar water views. Very friendly employees who made us feel right at home. The owner, Doreen was very attentive and engaging with the guests. Will definitely return!
The access and long driveway up to the hotel
Beautiful room, incredible views
Nothing
Perfectly located for access to all restaurants and attractions by rental car.
Absolutely nothing to not like -- a wonderful hotel, EXTREMELY helpful and friendly staff., great restaurant.
Everything was fabulous, from the staff to the accommodations, the food and beverage offered at the hotel to the grounds. The pool overlooks the ocean and faces toward St Kitts, so it’s quite a stellar view.
The peacefulness of the place, the view of the mountain and sea, the breakfast and everyone of the fruits was sweet as if specially hand-picked and selected with great care
Could not use the TV to watch the news
Glorious heavenly setting, amazing views to St Kitts. Lots of nature around- monkeys, hummingbirds. Very quiet and peaceful. We sometimes had the pool area to ourselves which was a treat. Food in the restaurant was excellent but it was often very quiet when we were there so lacking in atmosphere and almost felt a bit awkward for keeping the staff there! Desserts are particularly delicious though. Restaurant staff very friendly and obliging, especially Erika and the young guy whose name we have forgotten due to jet lag (sorry!). Rooms are pleasant and very clean. We had problems with broken hairdryers and air conditioning which was a little frustrating, spending our honeymoon reporting things, but they did get resolved very quickly. The power to our room seemed a little dubious, cutting out at times and my hair straighteners wouldn't work (I've never had this problem before). We struggled to use the TV as didn't have the right log ins (as we're British) or subscriptions. We didn't want to watch much TV but it was a little frustrating not to be able to put local TV on. It's definitely worth having a car as the hotel is situated a little far from most sights. Car hire is cheap and driving is easy. Derecka on reception arranged this and several taxis for us which was great. It really is a beautiful and peaceful setting.
Beautiful room with every amenity you need. Great location with fabulous views of st kitts. Lovely and helpful staff. Very quiet and relaxing place even when the hotel is full. Definitely will go back
This is beautiful all the staff are so helpful and nothing is a problem
Delightful undiscovered gem. Would stay again if in Nevis.
Quaint, accessible but not over the top.
The superior oceanview suite is excellent. Be cautious when booking - double check direct with hotel to ensure you get the room targeted. Booking.com conveys "Loft" to hotel which isn't same as superior suite. Would definitely stay again.
The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. This hotel is very tasteful and well designed, with an excellent pool and grounds to walk in, around the property.
The service at breakfast was very slow, and often arrived rather cold.
Real Review: The hotel is positioned on 20 acres of gently sloping hillside with magnificent open views of the Atlantic Ocean, and St. Kitts across the channel. There are 5 buildings that house the rooms, along with a separate larger complex which contains the the lobby, restaurant, pool, bar, and common space. All of the rooms have some type of ocean view, but those facing the ocean side of the complex have full views from every room as well as the patio/terrace. The complex is quiet, due to the spacing of the buildings, although its is an easy 3 minute walk from any building to the pool area. The location is removed from town/beaches/activities/sights. The words, peaceful, quiet, calm and open views come to mind, when I recall our 10 day stay. Transportation is needed to explore the island. There are rental cars available, not part of the hotel, but can be arranged on site. The rooms are large and very, very clean. And everything works as it should: sinks, toilets, hot water refrigerator, toaster, oven, air conditioning (a rarity in the Caribbean). Kitchen was adequately stocked, but Nevis is know for fine restaurants,, so we only cooked breakfast/toast/fruit/coffee. Towels, sheets, and bathroom products are very high quality. Daily housekeeping is AMAZING. Spotless each day with fresh everything! Very good value for the money. Restaurant and bar are open all day, which is good if you want to relax and stay on property (we had only breakfast and lunch). A very first rate, professionally managed property with excellent staff.
Not a complaint, just a reality: Part of the reason that the property is so peaceful and quiet, is that it is removed from traffic/shopping/other activity. Either of the 2 driveways into the property are a mile long. A walk to the nearest beach (Lovers Beach-Fabulous) would take at least 30 minutes. A very elegant sea-side restaurant (Drift) is a 45 minute walk. Plan your transportation and activities accordingly. We had a rental car and found that driving from the hotel to any other location on the island was easy, although on multiple occasions we saw other guests from the hotel waiting for the bus, and provided rides. A car is recommended if you plan on being active and exploring.
Everyone was extremely friendly. They helped us arrange transportation to get to the airport. Breakfast and drinks by the pool at sunset were delicious. The view from the hotel is beautiful.
My only complaint is that the mattress sank in the middle.
Beautiful property. Quiet location. Food was good. Easy to take a long walk there.
The bed was old. And not supportive. I don't sleep well . So for this reason only the property gets a low mark for me.
Didn’t have any.
The pool area and the scenery.
The views were amazing!
We were the only guests on this huge property. There was no food or beverage options on property. They never warned us beforehand that the restaurant was closed. The pool area was quiet and not one staff member was on hand. Owner asked me while in the pool if I was a guest there (felt like I was being accused of trespassing). Super disappointed!
Stunning location
Pool being cleaned at midday when people wanted to get into it meaning not allowed to use out for an hour afterwards
Incredible views, beautiful spot, fantastic people
Honestly nothing
Beautiful setting and stunning views. The pool area is just lovely. Friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable beds and on site parking.
Nothing.
Amazing site with outstanding views, large bedroom & excellent shower, one or two exceptional staff members. Excellent but pricy restaurant.
Rather faded with surprising deficiencies for a 4 star hotel - eg no USB charging points; excellent wifi in central building but poor WIFI in the bedroom; solid plastic sun loungers by the pool. Slightly sad atmosphere overall including many staff.
Breakfast was good
Dinner options didn’t change . Menu quite pricey
Our stay at the Mount Nevis Hotel was just out of this world and with its hill top situation, fabulous views, lovely gardens and pool it was truly the perfect place to relax and enjoy our holiday on Nevis. We were given such a warm welcome by Noreen who couldn’t have been any more attentive or helpful during our holiday and who treated us like family. We were upgraded to a beautiful apartment which was just beautifully decorated, so comfortable and lacked for nothing and we never tired of the view from our own patio. We just can’t say enough about the warmth and helpfulness of all the staff, we were really given the 5* service! We will definitely return and would encourage anyone to choose to stay here.
The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous and picturesque. The staff treated us wonderful Our only regret was not staying longer. Can’t wait to stay there again.
Very expensive for a basket of chips and a small burger.
Television and a phone in the room will be nice. Water pressure needs looking at.
The chef was outstanding. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would both recommend and stay here again. Best value on the island.
