Amazing place to stay and very cheap. Very nice beach and overall just an amazing expirience
This was the perfect location for our one night stay in a different, quiet and romantic spot away from the main town in El Nido. It’s a hidden little paradise. Our tent faced the beach, an amazing view! The staff were so friendly, we felt like it was a home stay and we were greeted with joy. The kids on the island were so beautiful and loved interacting with us. Great affordable stay on a quiet little part of the island. Felt safe and our belongings were secure! The complimentary breakfast was great with a big selection to choose from! Thank you Grace and family for making our stay wonderful!
My sister and J had the best time here, the location is a bit rough if you’re looking for easy access to Wl Nido town, but we prefer the quieter areas! The road is rough one a bike fore sure but definetoy worth it. the staff are all so kind and we met the staffs children who are the cutest ever! 100% hoping to come back next time in El Nido!
Bardzo urocze miejsce, super sympatyczni właściciele z rodziną. Domki na plaży w bardzo spokojnym miejscu. Obok przyjemna restauracja.
Beach front camp
Booked rooms were not available on arrival. Road to property is very bumpy and long.
Jeff and Grace are the warmest hosts and truly make you feel welcome. They took so much time to make sure I was well taken care of, bringing me to the beach to see sea turtles, driving me to the next city when the nearest ATM was out of order, and even checking that I was awake in time for my very early 3:30 am transfer on departure day. All those extra things they absolutely did not have to do, but did anyway. I felt genuinely cared for and would stay here again without hesitation!
The location is a bit off, so you will need transport to get around, either by renting a moped or using local transport services. Not necessarily a minus, but good to keep in mind.
Beautiful beach which is great for swimming! Great food at restaurant for a fair price!
Road from main highway is about 3km of washed out dirt track, we had an adventure bike so it was no problem but it can be difficult if you come with a scooter on street tires especially if it's raining as parts of the road are pure clay with washed out sections or large sharp gravel
We came to Amwani Beach Camp planning to stay for just four days… and we ended up staying nearly TEN. And even then, leaving felt impossible. From the moment we arrived, we felt something special about this place. Amwani isn’t just a beach camp — it’s an experience, a home, and a family. Jeff and Grace have created something truly magical here. Their warmth, generosity and genuine kindness are unmatched. They are the heart and soul of this place, and it shows in every single detail. We didn’t just stay here — we became part of the family. We shared meals together, laughed through karaoke nights, swapped stories, and built memories that we will carry forever. Their children are absolutely brilliant — so kind, clever and full of life. Saying goodbye had us all in tears, which says everything about the kind of people they are. The location itself is breathtaking. Beautiful, peaceful, and with such easy access to the beach — you wake up and you’re basically in paradise. The beach feels untouched and special, like a hidden treasure. And then… the turtles. 🐢✨ Jeff literally woke us up when baby turtles were hatching so we wouldn’t miss a single second of it. Watching them make their way to the ocean under the stars is something we will never, ever forget. As if that wasn’t enough, they later grabbed us again when a mama turtle came up onto the beach right in front of the camp to lay her eggs. Being able to witness that so closely was beyond special — it felt like nature putting on a private show just for us. This place isn’t just somewhere to stay — it’s somewhere to feel. To slow down. To connect. To experience real hospitality and real heart. Amwani Beach Camp is incredible because of the people who run it. Jeff and Grace, you have created something truly rare and beautiful. Thank you for welcoming us like family and giving us memories that will last a lifetime. We will be back. 💙 Mahal na mahal ko kayo
Absolutely amazing place, great beach! Friendly locals! Turtles even hatched while we were there and we got to witness them being released back into the ocean. Just an amazing stay. We will be back. Also tip, ask to stay on the side with Jeff! Him and his family owns part of it and they are amazing! We had family dinners and free coffee :)
Very chill and laid back vibes
Can be quite noisy around but not really an issue
The room are very nice Beach front location is amazing Staff are helpful and many eating possibilities are proposed
It’s quite far from El Nido - 40-55 min by scooter The road in the last 4 km is not great (pebbles, sand and sometimes mud) - be cautious while you drive there especially at night
Nice staff, very helpful with scooters/transport Comfy bed in the bungalow (fan and mosquito net was already provided) Tip for scooters, if you have them for a few days - i think parking at the hanging bridge (and then walk to the camp) is much more convenient than going back and forth on the mud road. Also good to know - towels provided but no soap/shower gel in the bathrooms I think for what you pay it's totally fine
Bathrooms need a deep clean or a little update
The place is directly on the beachfront and I couldnt imagine a better place. Its quiet in the night and you would only hear the noise of the waves. The hosts are super kind and welcoming. Jeff was such a warm, authentic and kind man which really influenced my stay and even showed me around the area to find some cool spots. Thank you for everything!

If you like to be in the middle of nowhere with the beach and nice people, it’s the place
Location, Little comfort in the hut Amazing owners
all the staff were very lovely and helpful……for the most part. we had repeated issues with one of the staff members. heaps of inappropriate touching and she kept insisting she didn’t work there, and was on vacation and helping a friends at the property just for a couple of weeks. we thought it was really strange how much she was trying to emphasise this point and after reading the reviews i found her mentioned by name years ago. she lied about her age for some reason, telling us she was 27 and we later overheard her telling older boys she was 32…….which was weird. she rented us a bike that had a rusted chassis that quite literally folded in half while riding, luckily we were weren’t injured. We asked to book the tour with the cave, and were confidently told by this lady it was tour C, only to later find out after already paying that it was actually tour B. the tour company wouldn’t let us change, and we ended up on a tour we didn’t want to go on. when we later asked her about this she offered no remorse or resolution. honestly, the food was great, generous portions and pretty decent prices considering what you find in town. the tents and accommodation were exactly what you paid for and the location was beautiful. all of the other staff were very lovely. after a bit of time and questioning and witnessing all the staff wait on her hand and foot, and appear quite frightened when she spoke to them in her native language, we seem to think this lady actually owns the property or is in some sort of management position. You should still attend this accommodation for what it’s worth, just be careful and have your guard up for the staff member/potential owner Ara.
Lovely welcoming staff who are always happy to help (special shout out to Jay!). Dinner is delicious. Beautiful surrounding scenery. Nice, clean bungalows with comfortable mattresses. Decent showers and toilets.
Not the fault of the hostel at all but the beach itself sadly has a lot of litter, and often dangerous shards of glass and metal, which doesn't make it a pleasant place for sunbathing or swimming. However, there are beautiful beaches just a moped or bus ride away. Dinner options are often much more limited than the full menu suggests. Breakfast could be better.
A place direct on the beach. Nice staff. Simple accommodation.
A unique experience for those who want to get off the tourist track.
The mattresses are thin so we didn’t get any sleep. The tents are located on a desolate beach with limited access via a precarious hanging bridge making it difficult to explore the area. The staff weren’t very welcoming either. We left as soon as we could in the morning cutting our stay short with no refund offered by the host. This was one surreal travel experience we won’t forget in a hurry!
Great place away from the El Nido crowds right on the beach. The staff is extremely helpful, the food is very good and the value for what you get is 10 out of 10. Its a hidden gem and I can highly recommend it To the staff: Thank you so much for everything!
The staff are all friendly and helpful. Anything can be arranged to your special needs. Good food and atmosphere. Right on the beach. Tents are comfortable enough to relax..
None.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped me book tours and rent a scooter. Even before I arrived, they sent a message about transport, tours and costs, which was very helpful!! Considering it's on a beach, it was fairly clean. There's lots of friendly cats and dogs that come to greet you everyday 😊 the tent was really comfortable, with a fan and 2 power points. It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the waves every day. The food was good
There is no flushing toilet so it gets dirty. The shower rooms are made of bamboo sticks, so there's holes in them. If you're in El Nido for tours, I'd recommend staying near the port, as it's more expensive to rent a scooter to drive to and from the port and there's limited other transport options to this place. It's quite far from the port as well. If you're here for just a quiet time near the beach, this place is perfect. The scooter wasn't in the best condition, which isn't the fault of the accommodation but something to be aware of
the location was great and the staff and the food too. we stayed in a tent
if they could improve the toilet situation would be great.
Extremely value for this money! That was the best time in Palawan 💜 staff is super friendly and it is a barbecue every evening 💜 you can get a free coffe there and is clean everywhere so don’t worry
I loved my little glamping experience. It's a perfect getaway from the main town. You have a beautiful beach to yourself and chairs to lay on. I like that there is a restaurant in site so you don't need to leave, everything is there.
The staff usually shuts things down at 10 which is fine but on my last night there was a french group who stayed in the eating area until 1:30 am being really loud. There was no regards to other guests consideration. I couldn't sleep and then when they finally left all the lights were left on. It bothered me so much that no one in management said anything. Stick up for your other guests, its okay to tell people to keep it down or that its time to shut down. It was incredibly rude!
The staff is very welcoming and smiling. We had a truely relaxing stay in this camping. The breakfast is amazing (try their pancakes!) and the food is great at the restaurant (we had only Phlippino food, no need for burgers...). Also the prices are reasonable.
Some dogs are noisy overnight, but that's life of camping :-)
Great spot by the beach, nice breakfast and dinner off the grill is so nice! Wake up and take a dip in the sea is amazing. Small fan in the tent to keep cool enough
Staff overall nice but a bit disinterested at times and dismissive
personal , location
Great people, they know how to deal some issues.
Affordable and comfortable
If you visit Bucana & do not stay here - you will regret it!! Unbelievable place - the staff (go above & beyond), atmosphere, food & just everything really are amazing! Great break away from El Nido town. Duli Beach & Nacpan beach are also within a short driving distance (Duli you could walk to within 30minutes). If you don't fancy staying in El Nido town at all & just head straight to Bucana, the staff can still organise all the tours for you. Loved this place so much I came back in January 2024 for 4nights. Highly, highly recommend you stay here when in Bucana. See you all later guys - salamat po!
I couldn't stay longer!
Amazing location with a tent right on the beach. Happy, relaxed and fun atmosphere with a festive feel about it. Personable and attentive staff. Well stocked bar and restaurant with nice menu including vegetarian dishes. Friendly village close by and a lot to explore.
Not a great toilet. Unreliable WiFi (though LTE is in service)
This place is a paradise with a beautiful beach between duli and palacan. Good value for money. Staff incredibly kind and helpful. They booked my tour which was good. They manage 2 more nights for me even if booking was full. Food is good at a fair price. Facility basic done with warm and simplicity. It s pretty clean. Big plastic box for your things, Lamp, fan, multiple plug in the tent Free water, coffee, towel The community around felt authentic and kind, with dogs, chicken, cow , coconut tree , the singing church.
Mattress is a bit thin but my sleep was OK 👍 Miss a soap in the shower. Some waste to collect around the beach and in the village to make it more cleaned.
Harris, Hellen, Ara, Megan and all the staff help you for everything you need. Here you can also have wonderful dinner very close to the see.
Great food, great staff, great location. The local village was really friendly aswell!
Great location, directly at the beach. Touristically not too developed, which is nice. Amazing food. Harry and his team are just awesome, flexible and supportive.
amazing getaway from main town of el Nido. so nice to stay in a tent on the beach. amazing staff and good.
Nice quiet place just in front of the beach. Really nice staff Great food
No really good internet connection.
the tent on the beach is something special. you have electricity, a lamp and a fan in the tent. the BH team made my stay even better, we became a family and enjoyed time together. Food is just amazing! Was hard to say goodbye. thank you all for everything!
A Tent on a Beach? Can’t be beat
The best homestay in El Nido. Service at the highest, local and not only delicious food. I recommend!!!!!
.i couldn't stay longer (:
The hospitality is amazing. Such great people who make you feel at home. it’s a perfect camping trip to relax at the beach during the day and look at the stars at night.
