Plum Tree Cottage

Beautiful house with a "farm house" feel, lots of space inside and outside, has all the things you need in the kitchen and bathroom, lovely garden overlooking the mountains and countryside literally on your doorstep. It is also completely fenced off so our little dog could run around freely. Walking distance to hikes, mountain bike routes and local restaurants.

The shower was a bit inconsistent, burning hot one moment and cold the next when you turn the cold tap a little more. Didn't really enjoy it so had a lovely bath most days.

Very secluded quiet and peaceful location, but still an easy walk to the main street and the village. Also nice that we could take the dogs with us. Good walks around.

Absolutely wonderful little cottage. Has everything you could need. Loved the views of the hills and the goats passing by the front garden. Thanks for the complimentary bottle of wine too!

A lovely spacious and comfortable cottage with everything you need. Our stay was just before Easter and we found a few eggs hidden around the cottage - we loved the surprise! Never too old ;)

Cosy and comfortable

The layout of the property is so ideal to catch some sun in the courtyard all day. We really enjoyed basking in the winter sun, braaing with a view, and exploring the sweet little town on foot.

The entire space was lovely. Set within the little town and overlooking a beautiful hiking trail and mountain. Gordan was an exceptional host too 👌

This is a very comfortable cottage with everything you would need to have a good stay. It is in a great location that is close to walk to all the restaurants and shops but set within a quiet and peaceful part of town. I appreciated the memory foam pillows and great bed. We had a good stay and would stay here again.

We had the most incredible stay at Plum Tree Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in a little slice of heaven. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The location is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque views. We spent hours exploring the nearby countryside, discovering hidden gems and making unforgettable memories. But what really made our stay special was the warm and welcoming hospitality of our host. His kindness and generosity made us feel welcomed. It's the perfect haven for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature and themselves. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again.

Wow, what a beautiful cottage! The house was very well equipped and had everything one could’ve needed. It felt very homely, comfortable and cosy. The garden outside was lovely, we loved sitting outside in the sun each afternoon.

The property is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need for a short stay, the owners really thought of everything. The area is also so quite which makes it an excellent place to relax.

I assumed all four of us could sleep in the one apartment.

The cottage was beautiful, very comfortable and very well decorated. We loved the little touches like leaving wine on the table and the garden was spectacular.

Perhaps because we were 2 women staying and because we struggled to open the padlock on the gate when arriving home after dinner and the house is at the end of a dirt road we didn't feel entirely safe. I'm sure this was completely unfounded - we had no reason to believe there was any problem at all and the owners have all of the alarms & trellidors in place to ensure a safe stay.

I loved and liked everything in this well equipped cottage. Fully equipped Had no hassle in finding anything. Coffee Tea sugar everything more than enough. More than enough cleaning products even peaceful sleep and doom for mosquitoes and other insects. Tumble dryer and washing machine. Impressive. You won't need to struggle when at Plum Tree Cottage Mc Gregor. The hostess was friendly and helpful with any questions. I did not struggle getting to the cottage the directions beforehand was clear and easy to get to the cottage and not even struggled with the lock box for the key, gate code and alarms. I had a wonderful stay and will surely refer my friends and family to book a stay at Plum Tree Cottage. I even got a bottle of wine welcoming me placed on the table. Thanks Karin, I appreciate it. I would like to go back in the winter, to sit at the fire place the whole night long. I slept well no problems with uncomfortable pillows or mattress. Well done Karin, I will recommend Plum Tree 100 %

Had an issue with some cockroaches but not unexpected for SA! A sign in the house asking for doors to be kept closed as a family of mice in the garden which was fine but no air conditioning and only 2 basic fans which for us wasn't enough

This charming cottage had everything we needed, and the staff was very helpfull and friendly.

The cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is comfortable and spacious. Keep in mind that the 2nd bedroom is a separate cottage, which is perfect if you are traveling with friends or parents.

Simply great. Nice location in calm part of the city. Fully equipped cottage with big kitchen and nice bedroom. If you need more beds you can use second smaller cottage located next to the main one (or use sofa in the living room). Beds with mosquito net.

The host communicated the instructions very well and there were no problems.

I must have misunderstood the advert because I thought there were 2 bedrooms inside the cottage but on arrival I discovered that one was an outside cabin.

The location of the house was excellent, the views were superb with lovely outside space. The accommodation was spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We look forward to returning for another visit!

Host Karin was very attentive and informative without being obstrusive to your stay - we were initially concerned about the location being the last house on the street but we felt safe and secure while there. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains and we could watch the sunrise and sunsets from the patio while listening to the birds, as well as they daily return of the goats and cattle to their nearby paddocks. The cottage is super clean, and has everything one would need for a comfortable stay, and the little gestures and thoughtful delights did not go unnoticed - thank you so much, we will be back very soon!
