Loft on Golders

Its very clean and comfortable nice little place to get away! I even had a few issues happen, and the invited me to stay in their beautiful home for the night! The host are very lovely people and i cant thank them both enough for such a beautiful stay and for welcominge in their home.

Lack of headroom in a few places. Relatively narrow staircase up to lift over garage.

The loft was so homely with all the comforts of home. Such a quiet location really suited our relaxing weekend vibe. Loved the options of chromecast or DVDs we thoroughly enjoyed snuggling up with a couple of classic 80s movies on the fold out couch. Highly recommend 👌

It was such a cute little apartment, had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Could have stayed longer.

It felt cosy and super comfortable with a very good quality bed and linens. Excellent WiFi. A good few TV channels to help us wind down after climbing Mount Tauhara. DVD’s if you fancy a movie. Close to a small supermarket. 10 mins drive to central Taupô for restaurants and fast-food. Excellent small kitchen area with absolutely everything you need. Great coffee maker with free pods. Cafetière or instant coffee. Efficient air-con. A couple of nice little touches as a welcome.

Great location, beautiful place. Had everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

Het huisje had alles wat we nodig hadden. Het was schoon en de locatie was fijn.

De badkamer was, zoals al op de foto’s te zien aan de kleine kant. Daarnaast is inchecken vanaf 16u aan de late kant. Misschien goed om via booking (of SMS) een berichtje te sturen indien de kamer klaar is. Dan kunnen mensen ook eerder naar binnen.

Great space, comfy bed. Easy check in. Fully self contained with everything you need. Parking space and a washing machine is an added bonus.

It was a little drive from the main town area, but that's the only bad thing.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like

Everything about the property was great, I had all I needed and it was where I needed to be. Communcation was awesome and all the little touches were perfect such as the sign Welcome to Taupo Vi

The shower had great water pressure vert nice.

Just a little tight around the bathroom area.

Toilet was a bit awkward to use with the loft roof

Private, easy access, comfortable and everything we needed. Very welcoming. Loved the little extras like muesli and plunger coffee. Appreciated the owners allowing me to reschedule a few times!!

The air conditioner took a long time to cool the room down. It was very hot. Banged my head a couple of times on the roof above the toilet.

So many facilities! We made use of the many dvds. Was such a lovely stay and would definitely come back. Perfect for a weekend trip for a couple.

The location

Amazing accomodation with a great range of utilities. Particularly good oven and hotplate, and we were able to wash our clothes during our stay with the help of the clothesline. Bed and couch were comfy.

Stair access was a bit tight which made unpacking into the room a bit of a squeeze. Fridge was also pretty small but it did just barely fit our requirements.

The loft, although small, was well set out. The photos reflected it well. It had all amenities we required to be fully self contained. The washing machine was helpful after a very wet few days. Very comfy and more than adequate for a short stay. We liked the extras included in pantry even though we didnt need them for an overnight stay. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The welcome sign was a nice touch.

I knew from reviews that bathroom was space compromised. It was adequate though low roofline over toilet was uncomfortable . The stairs are very narrow up to the loft. Once again, the reviews made this clear so I knew before hand.. I felt nervous using them as once overnight bagwas in toe, I really couldnt see in front of me to ensure good footing.

The location was quiet and peaceful

The fact that we had to get our luggage up the stairs and for two people over 70 it was a problem. The lockbox was also difficult to comprehend.

Such a well equipped little home away from home.

Perfect cosy little escape from reality! Warm and comfortable, with an excellent shower and very good little kitchen. Close enough to town without being in the thick of it. Easy walk down to the lake

The apartment was cozy and well set up. There was an added bonus of a teapot. This truly is a fully equipped studio apartment. It was super quiet and has smooth access with the key in a lock box. There is off street parking.

This is not a negative for me but to people who prefer hotel/motel type service level. This is a studio apartment above the garage of a suburban residential home. The property owners request your shoes to be removed. Your rubbish to placed in the outside bin. The dishes to be done. There is a squeezie to clean the shower door/walls.

This is a very quiet location in a South Taupo neighbourhood; easy walk down the hill to the lake pathway (3 km or so into centre of town) and the Botanical Reserve. Great to have the washing machine & outdoor clothes line. Really appreciated the muesli.

Just cannot get past the tiny bathroom...with the glass shelf an awkward placement above the sink... BUT shower pressure was GREAT.

Very well stocked room. Appreciated being able to use the washing machine. Room was warm and comfortable. Enjoyed being able to cast Netflix to the tv.

Not being able to check in until 4pm was a bit of a nuisance. Bathroom was a bit small, but we made it work.

It was an awesome stay for me and I would definitely stay again, but things to note for others Steep narrow stairs up to the room A bit of a distance to Taupo centre. You really need a car Room was warm and cosy but personally I would have liked an electric blanket on bed Really small toilet area, watch your head 😊

It was quiet and private. We were able to do some washing and cook our own food. The drive way parking was convenient and the property was in a great location.
