Very nice house, and the village is amazing. Everyone was super kind, and I think we had the best dinner here from our 3 weeks in Tunisia :)

Prachtige plek bij een familie, super aardige mensen. Uitzicht is heel mooi. We konden uit alle beschikbare kamers kiezen, elke kamer is erg mooi, uiteindelijk in de grotkamer geslapen die heerlijk koel was. Mogelijkheid om mee te dineren, dit is erg lekker en veel. Ook het ontbijt was prima.

Nous avons adoré vivre avec la famille et discuter avec eux. L’emplacement et l’hébergement est superbe et très confortable. Nous avons déguster un succulent repas traditionnel cuisiné par la maman de la famille.

Fatma nous a extrêmement bien accueilli dans la maison de famille superbe qu'ils amenagent pour recevoir des visiteurs la moitié de l'année. La vue est à couper le souffle et le village très sympathique. Le repas et le petit déjeuner étaient excellents. La chambre troglodyte, une vrai expérience très appréciée. Merci 🙏

Es un lugar muy acogedor, las habitaciones están decoradas con gusto y cariño. Todo estaba impecable. El personal es muy amable. Nos sentimos como en casa. Las vistas desde la terraza son maravillosas! Y la comida que nos prepararon fue deliciosa. También nos guiaron para hacer una excursión estupenda por el pueblo. Si podemos volveremos a alojarnos ahí seguro! Gracias por vuestra amabilidad ❤️

Todo fue excelente, la ubicación con las mejores vistas, la familia que nos recibió y facilitó la ida y salida del hotel con su auto, muy amables,, la decoración del lugar. La cena que prepararon muy buena, excelente cocinero! Muy buen desayuno también.

La connexion wifi mais dans ce coin reculé de Tunisie, pas toujours facile de capter.

Simple but spacious comfortable rooms in an interesting building with a large terrace with expensive views down to the coast. Very good breakfast, and our hosts had prepared an excellent - if too huge for our appetites ! - for our arrival after 9pm.

I wasn't able to get hot water, and the WiFi wasn't working, but these were probably temporary - and there was excellent WiFi at well-appointed L'Etoile des Amazigh (which shows as Béchir Restaurant on Google maps) very nearby.

The location is amazing , you have the best view . We were in a very spacious room facing the terrace . Beds are very comfortable and everything is clean. We had dinner there and the family made us a delicious dinner . The family who host us is friendly and very gentle. I highly recommend Dar Fatma!!

La vue, le repas et le lieu traditionnel !

L’esprit maison d’hôtes qui est bien respecté puisque nous étions avec des personnes que nous ne connaissions pas lors des deux repas (dîner et petit déjeuner). C’était une première pour moi et j’ai vraiment apprécié ! L’hôte est très cultivé et passionné par sa région il nous a indiqué les lieux à visiter en fonction de nos envies. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais traditionnel. La vue incroyable depuis la terrasse et notre chambre.

Il a fait un peu froid la nuit dans la chambre, nous n’avions pas pris celle dans la grotte qui est naturellement à la bonne température mais celle sur la terrasse. Il y avait un petit chauffage au gaz mais nous n’avons pas voulu le laisser allumer la nuit.

Nous avons vécu une expérience inoubliable en séjournant chez Fatma et sa famille, dans les terres tunisiennes. L’accueil a été d’une douceur et d’une authenticité rares. Nous avons été reçus comme des invités, presque comme des membres de la famille. Fatma et ses proches sont d’une gentillesse incroyable. Les repas étaient tout simplement exceptionnels : des couscous comme nous n’en avons jamais mangé de notre vie, préparés avec amour et générosité. Un vrai moment de partage autour de la cuisine locale. Les chambres sont très propres, joliment décorées, et le logement correspond parfaitement à ce que nous recherchions : un lieu typique, au calme, isolé, avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée. C’était exactement l’expérience que nous voulions vivre : sortir de Djerba, s’aventurer dans les terres et découvrir la Tunisie authentique, au plus près des habitants. Un immense merci pour votre accueil, votre bienveillance et toutes vos attentions, notamment envers notre bébé. Nous ne vous oublierons pas. ❤️

Habitació fantàstica i molt àmplia. Com no tenien més reserves, ens van deixar triar. Tenen una terrassa amb vistes espectaculars. El menjar força autèntic del recorregut, mel i formatge fet per ells.

I could not recommend it enough, the best accommodation in Tunisia. We received a very warm welcome from the owners. They served us traditional food, which we ate on the terrace with great views over the canyon and mountains. Squeaky clean room, beautifully furnished and spacious. The region is very peaceful and clean, Toujane is a great choice for a "base" to make daytrips from, see the ksars, Sahara desert and even Tozeur (whole day of driving there and back but it's worth it).

My partner and I loved the place. It is beautiful, both the views and the hotel itself. The people there treated us like home, and allowed us to delve into their culture, having very nice conversations with them. The bed and room were very comfortable and had all the amenities needed and more! Everything is made with a lot of love. The food is delicious, home cooked! 100% Recommend!!!!!!

Las vistas són increíbles. Además todo estaba muy limpio y era muy auténtico y agradable. La cena estaba riquísima y el desayuno tampoco decepciono. Sin duda volvería y lo recomendaría a cualquier viajero que pase por la zona. 10/10

Everything, the place like from another planet, Out from our confort zone, the quality if the road to drive up the village the culture the shock between our heavy life in Europe , and them down to earth life , them kindness, them respect , them calmess, The lesson i have learn Thanks to them, definitely the place to go if you want to refocus on yourself, for us it was Dar Fatma, but I think there are other places in the south of Tunisia. The sea, the mountains, the hotels, we can find that elsewhere in the world, but Toujane is a village that is rare to find elsewhere. Thanks to the family who runs Dar Fatma, thanks to the mother who prepared our meals with love, to the son who prepared our hearty breakfasts, and to the father for his tea. We will definitely be back to stay longer this time. Mrs. Robinson.,

I thought it was great. Nothing I would change really.

It is a unique space that is family run. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was so plentiful, fresh and delicious.

Nothing. However, we thought we could take a lounge here and we were wrong. If you are planning on staying it is best if you have your own vehicle to get you there.

The cave hotel was quaint and quiet. The staff was kind and helpful. They helped arrange tours of the town and surrounding areas. The dinner was tasty (they were able to accommodate a vegetarian easily) and the handwoven carpets (for purchase) are beautiful!

Accommodation in a beautiful location with authentic rooms and food. Safe parking in front of the entrance to the accommodation recommended for motorcyclists. A very kind host who works as a professional tourist guide with excellent knowledge of the English language, helped us with the tour and gave us useful tips for further travel.

The place is not as beautiful as in pictures and the road there is a bit difficult to drive on.

It was really an outstanding experience. The accomodation was comfortable with a large terace and wonderful view. The room was charming. We met wonderful people anf have found friends. We are greatful for their hospitality. When you are there do not miss a chance to take a tour round the village with the guide - a member of the family. It was great and so many new information. Frankly, we come back soon 😊

Incredible stay! Authentic experience with delicious dinner and breakfast. Witnessed an amazing sunrise from the terrace. The owners organized a memorable night, allowing us to try traditional food, wear costumes, and dance. Attention to detail and guest comfort was evident throughout. Perfect stop for travelers from Tataouine to Matmata. Highly recommended!

Everything was excellent

Everything! The room was such a nice surprise. Bigger than we expected. It was so beautiful, clean, warm in winter and comfortable. It was a beautiful experience. Dinner was also delicious, best vegetarian couscous we tried in Tunisia! The family was very welcoming and Musa was so helpful and attentive. It couldn't have been any better and we wished we could have stayed longer!

There's no wifi. It wasn't a problem at all for us tho, we actually enjoyed being disconnected.

Friendly and hospitable stuff. Very beautiful and clean rooms. The host was also our guide for a one hour walking tour.

There is nothing the hosts can do, but those who are going to stay in winter have to bring warmer clothes since it's cold at night. It would be great if there were chairs and a table in the room.

Brilliant location and rooms and very friendly hosts

What a great experience! I enjoyed so much staying at Dar Fatma. Fathi and Moussa are just fantastic hosts. The place is a gem hidden in the Tunisian mountains, in a little Berber village. The room was spacious and clean. A bit cold in winter so be prepared with warm clothes. The food was just fantastic. You can take a walk with Moussa who will explain the Berber traditions.

The people, they were really friendly and also a beautiful location!

Greeted like a family member. And best of all served a home cooked meal in the evening as well as a platter of goodies with just baked bread in the morning. Puts all these posh hotels to shame!

Fathi welcomed us to his home and his family as If we were part of it. The project he is trying to develop in Toujane is very beautiful and it is inspiring to see how they live and see the life. He showed us around the village and although it wasn't in our plans to visit it, it was definitely worth the time! The house is beautiful and authentic and you will be more than comfortable in this strange yet amazing room. And the food they cook is homemade and delicious! True Tunisian food. I suggest everyone to go see this place and meet him, his family and his amazing friend Musa, who's soul is definitely a young and beautiful one. Hope to see you all again!

5 * is not enough for Dar Fatma. It is rura,l local accomodation, not at all like a hotel, but very charming and quiet with a fantastic view over the plain towards Gabes. The most exceptional part of our visit was the family who did everything they could to help us and to make our stay enjoyable including a walk up to the castle (EUR 15 pp). Mint tea on the terrace at dusk was magical.

Unique type of property, built into cliffside, with spacious and comfy rooms and great facilities. The view over the valley is magnificent and the village is tranquil with an authentic feeling, certainly not overrun by tourists. The family invites you to dine with them and make you feel at home, with generous sized portions for breakfast and dinner, taking into account my dietary restrictions (note for clarity - dinner is not included in cost of stay). They can also recommend a superb guide whose knowledge of the history, culture, and nature of Tudjan and the wider area was quite excellent and really added something to my stay

Nothing wrong with the property but guests should probably be aware that having their own vehicle makes things much easier for them as there are zero public transports options (in my case, the property helped my arrival and departure by renting a hire car for me, but there were understandably costs involved for this)

We were happy to have found it. Very friendly owner and his family. Actually it's more like a family guesthouse, with the family present. Two nice and clean cave rooms, and two very good looking roof terrace rooms. The guesthouse is situated in a little village between some mountains with two castle ruines. Most of the village is ancient ruins, but there is something to that. Quite and peaceful atmosphere.

Dar Fatma is the perfect place for those who love to spend time in a lovely family place ! The room and the house are beautiful with an incredible view ! I spent a perfect time there hiking, tasting good homemade food and interesting conversations Highly recommended !

It was beautiful experience to stay in this house. Higly recomendable. Hotel is in the historical berber village in the mountains. The rooms are eranged in original Berber Triglodite house. Interior is decorated super nice. View from terrace fantastic. Property is clean, hot water in the shower. very good trsditional breakfast. It is family operating house, so we feel like at home. Owners are very friendly. Speak english.They invite us for the dinner, prepared by family woman. It was so delicious. Brothers Fadi and Aimin are good gides, know area and the history of village, they arrange very interesting tour around the village, including to see original( not rebuild) berber underground (Tiglodite) house. If You are interesting in real historic things, this property will be fantastic place for You.
