Reviewed Sep 14, 2023The Location was brilliant. However, fortunately the accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. I would recommend that the kitchen be updated with some Utensils, etc. we did not even have a bread knife or frying pan. It also was close to many shops, the beach and lots of restaurants. We would stay there again and hope that the above issues would be dealt with in a proper manner and updated.
We never met the host or heard from them. The keys were left at a shop below the accommodation. the Lady there was sweet. however, a day later the one geyser burst, and we had no Electrical power. we went back down to the lady in the shop (where keys were left) to phone the guy to get it sorted out. There was an elderly lady in the shop that conversed in Mauritian saying to the younger lady "these South Africans, you don't need to help them. But we could not contact anyone when we had no Wi-Fi, fortunately my Husband was born in Mauritius and understood what the elderly lady had said and asked her what we were supposed to do, she got a fright and walked away. Thereafter they were not friendly to help us and when we dropped of the keys the young lady asked why we are leaving it there. Where were we supposed to have left it? I am an Airbnb Super Host and know what should and shouldn't be done, so it was unusual for us to not have been welcomed by the host/owner. However, fortunately the accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. I would recommend that the kitchen be updated with some Utensils, etc. we did not even have a bread knife or frying pan.
