I had the best time and the food was amazing, everything was freshly made! Including the best pizza I’d ever had! Friendly and generous staff who also gave space. A wee oasis in the countryside!

Quiet location in a beautiful spot yet close to the city, thoughtfully furnished rooms, very comfy bed, host ms Sarom and his wife were warm, accommodating and generous, food excellent

As my room looked onto the shared terrace at the back of the property I didn’t have privacy when there were people using that space and so had to shut my curtains and couldn’t enjoy the lovely view from my room.

We had am amazing time. Very comfortable homestay! Very well located in the middle of very pretty lotus fields. Free bikes to ride around the lotus field. Amazing sunset from the property! Amazing hosts very nice and caring! They invited us with them to go to the village festival we had a great time ! The food in their restaurant is some of the best food we had in Cambodia! Overall loved it and had a great time !

Un couple charmant qui a rendu notre séjour comme chez la famille : on est guidés et conseillés. La maison est juste sublime. Nous y retournerons à notre prochaine visite à Siem-Reap, une autre saison que le mois d’avril pour profiter les champs de lotus et autres merveilles… Un grand merci 🙏

Le robinet de douche est à changer, car le jet d’eau est très fin (le seul petit bémol), pour se laver.

L’accueil,la gentillesse du personnel. Je me suis jamais sentie aussi à l’aise au Cambodge (esprit famille ) J’ai eu droit à un karaoké. Je recommande fortement cet endroit.

De ne pas pouvoir rester aussi longtemps

Just stayed for a night to see the sunset and get away from the hustle and bustle of central Siem Reap. Sarom and his family are the perfect hosts we enjoyed dinner and breakfast the following morning on the terrace The menu has a good choice of food for all tastes and was excellent value and plentul. The room was spotlessly clean and well kept and the AC worked well in the 36⁰c heat. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience staying outside of the centre, there is a temple and floating village a 5 min tuk tuk ride away (you could walk or ride but it was too hot on our stay)

Ein mega freundlicher und herzlicher Gastgeber

L'hébergement confortable avec une salle de bain avec une paroie de douche . Le petit déjeuner et les repas délicieux, même les pizzas sont super. La terrasse avec la vue magnifique sur la rizière et les champs de Lili flower. Et cerise sur le gâteau un accueil de la part de sharom et de sa femme au top. Sharom nous a guidé dans notre visite des temples d'Angkor pour un magnifique lever de soleil. Gentillesse, empathie et disponibilité de la part de cette famille nous ont permis de passer un agréable séjour. Merci encore à eux.

Nice place to stay. Sarom and his wife are excellent hosts, their hospitality and great service are top notch. We had booked 2 double rooms but Sarom upgraded one of our rooms which was very kind of him. The rooms are all very lovely, spacious and comfortable. Food was very good and tasty. 100% recommend if you are coming to Siem Reap.

Notre séjour à Pomelo a été tout simplement mémorable. Sarom est un hôte comme il en existe peu, attentionné, généreux et sincèrement passionné par sa région. Il nous l’a fait découvrir avec le cœur, a cuisiné pour nous et nous a accueillis comme si nous étions chez lui. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cet endroit et de ces moments partagés.

Beautiful location Looks great in the rooms

Der Inhaber und seine Frau waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft und insbesondere das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und dekoriert. Von der Terrasse, auf der das Restaurant ist, kann man auf ein großes Lotusblumenfeld schauen. Ein sehr schöner Anblick. Beim Frühstück hat man eine sehr gute Auswahl aus der Karte und das Essensangebot ist sehr lecker. Uns wurden , für die Zeit unserer Unterbringung, kostenlose Fahrräder zur Verfügung gestellt.

De meer dan hartelijke ontvangst tvangst door Bun Sarom en zijn vrouw. Je voelt je er gelijk thuis. Het is ook een super goede kok. De ingang valt niet echt op vanaf de straat maar als je eenmaal binnen bent is het prachtig en kun je achter op het terras over de lotusvelsen kijken. Het is ook een goed uitgangspunt om de floating villages te bezoeken.

Really nice place to stay just outside Siem Reap, owner was very friendly and helpful

We had a wonderful stay at Pomelo Outpost. The host, Sarom, and his wife were very welcoming and hospitable. They invited us to join them to see a local dancing show, which was a highlight of our trip. The room itself was really clean and had good working airconditioning and a nice private bathroom. Sarom made us breakfast, and options for lunch and dinner were also available upon request. Besides the good room, there is a beautiful terrace with a lovely view over a lotus field. We highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at Damnak (now Pomelo) Homestay!! They opened again in January 2025 and the place is absolutely beautiful… We were surrounded by nature and relaxed with the view at a lotus farm. We had a very warm welcome by Sarom and his family that took us to the rice fields where we had a good time with them. A perfect place to relax and slow down if you are done with busy cities during your travels. Realise it is a bit further from the centre but in my opinion 100% worth the travel. I would love to come back one day.

Nothing that my partner or me did not like.

We had a delightful 2-nights stay at this homestay over the lotus farm. Clean, fast internet, friendly host and a wonderful break from the tourist-centric Siem Reap center. The homeowner Sarom is friendly, speaks English well and can take you around in his tuk-tuk or borrow his bike. Catching the sunset from spacious back porch over the lotus field was especially lovely and tranquil.

Everything was fantastique. Sarom is really great, so kind and speaks well english He came to pick us up in the centre of Siem Reap. Then he drove us with his tik tuk to the nearest flotting village with a very interesting stop and visit at the lotus farm, for a very good price. The homestay is exceptionnal, the room, the bath room, the terrasse over a lotus field. The home is very well decorated and confortable. We even ask Sarom to be our tuk tuk driver one day to visit some temples around Angkor Vat.

Absolutly nothing

From the very first day, we were warmly welcomed. The view of the lotus farm at the back is absolutely stunning, and the room is well-equipped at an incredible price. This was the best hotel I stayed at in Cambodia—simply excellent!

I believe there isn’t much around, and it might feel far for most travelers. However, in our case, we were traveling by motorbike, so it wasn’t too difficult to get there.

The owner was a cheerful person and took great care of me. There was a small additional charge, but they changed me to a larger room with air conditioning. I've stayed at several hotels around here, but this one is by far the best.

Wow, the location is beautiful. We were very surprised at how spotless the rooms were and the great value we got the rooms at. Overall Fantastic experience. We were greeted at the bus station by the manager and driver straight to the hotel where he helped us navigate all there is to do in Siem Reap. The hotel is a little bit further from Pub Street but the view and location make it well worth it.
