Arty Luxury Barn Apartment

This property is a tranquil oasis and the perfect base for exploring the Queenstown area (if you have a car). It had everything I needed for my week in Queenstown. The well equipped kitchen helped me save money on breakfast and allowed me to kick off each day relaxed. Stargazing from bed via the skylights is an experience I’ll never forget. The neighbouring deer,beautiful gardens and architecture ensured I started and ended each day in a great mood.

While the pool area was gorgeous the water was too cold for me to fully enjoy it.

Really need a car as driveway/private road (gravel) a good 5+mins walk down to the main road...difficult in heels for a wedding No shops so definitely need to take food

Such beautiful place to stay if you want to be out of town and somewhere quiet. Lovely property and Sue was so friendly and so was Babe. Very comfortable bed and nice to have a bath.

The location was great and the property was a pleasure to walk around.

Absolutely nothing…

Fijn huis, heerlijk rustig gelegen op een eigen landgoed en toch dichtbij alles wat Queenstown te bieden heeft. Ontbijten op ons terras met de uitzicht op de hertjes en vogelgeluiden om ons heen, beter wordt het niet. De gastvrouw is erg aardig en gaf ons veel goede tips over de omgeving. Er is veel aandacht voor ecologie.

Simply amazing accommodation, Sue was a wonderful host who gave us some fantastic recommendations in the local area. Great facilities stunning location and a lot of charm and character in the arty barn and surrounding land! Highly recommended!

A slice of paradise. Beautifully presented with quirky old world touches. Loved the tranquillity of the property. Sue and Babe were wonderful hosts. The bed was one of the most comfortable and luxurious I have slept in. Would stay again when in the area.

We loved the accommodation! The apartment is really quirky and the grounds are out of this world! Sue was a fantastic host and was happy to help and advise. The location was excellent for exploring.

The host Sue was incredible. She was easy to contact and made recommendations to us while we stayed in Queenstown. The property itself was amazing. It had deers, ducks, possums and bunnies. The room was comfortable and spacious. We had 2 toilets, 1 shower and 1 bath tub. Parking was provided and the property was situated near Bob's Cove (very nice walk). Sue also provided us with fruit to feed the deer while we were there.

We loved our two night stay at this spacious, stylish apartment on large, beautiful grounds. We were able to relax totally, do laundry, barbecue our evening meals and enjoy the peaceful surrounds, well away from the hectic buzz of Queenstown. Suzanne, the host, was super helpful and gave us excellent advice on hikes, one right on the property with a magnificent view over the lake, the other a stunning drive past Glenarchy. The whole area was glorious. Highly recommended.

The bed was a little soft for one our backs, but nothing to complain about.

In all our travels, we've never experienced such a place. Spacious grounds and gardens with mountain views. Wonderful architecture & quirky decor. Really good kitchen facilities with a great outdoor BBQ area, as well as a hilltop viewing bench for sundowners watched by the deer in the paddock And Sue's a delightful hostess who can answer any questions It's 12kms out of Queenstown just before Bob's Cove

Very artsy apartment in an old barn, very individual with a lot of personal touches. It was a nice break from the cookie cutter apartments you usually get. Very tranquil location, just a 10 minute car ride from Queenstown and on the road to Glenorchy. There were a lot of deer around and a short walk to great views. The owner is on the property and very helpful with a lot of good advice if desired.

A unique two storey one bedroom artsy apartment with two bathrooms, comfortable king bed, kitchen with all you need and most importantly set on a huge, parklike, amazing property about 12 minutes outside of busy Queenstown on the road to Glenorchy. The host is helpful without being intrusive and you will feel as if you are in a little village in Tuscany instead of NZ.

Wifi could be spotty but it was not a huge problem as we were in the area to tour, walk and explore.

Gorgeous accommodation just 15 minutes outside Queenstown. It's like stepping into Tuscany! We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend.

Nice and spacious in a park-like setting. Many unique tasteful features.

Converted barn on two levels, very comfortable, with loads of character in beautiful grounds with a couple of great walks from the property, (one walk to coast, one up a hill, plus other walks available for longer stays). Host was exceptionally helpful. Really one of the best places we have stayed, and an oasis of calm in the busy Queenstown district.

the peacefulness and serenity also close enough to Queenstown but away from the crowds.Sue is a great host.

We loved the unique space and quaint finishes in the apartment. The space was large and we felt like we were staying in a piece of history! The heated towel rail and amazing heated bathroom floor were also exceptional.

It would have been lovely to be able to close over the skylights over the bedroom upstairs but this prompted us to get up and enjoy more of the day, so overall this was not an issue!

locations was lovely a quiet but still within a few minutes drive of Queenstown. Lovely space and facilities to relax and unwind.
