Reviewed Sep 17, 2026OMG - this was an absolutely mental and completely terrifying experience BUT please do not consider this a bad review; it's just a very wild story and, and armed with this knowledge, I would choose to stay here again (which I will probably need to do so..... read on)!!
I contacted the property prior to arrival but never received a reply. I sought to advise them of my arrival time - circa 9:30pm from Kuala Lumpur - and requested check-in details and the WiFi code, either in advance or made available to me upon arrival (this was not my first rodeo....), no reply.
I arrived using a Grab cab from Times Square to this remote village in the pitch black darkness - I was filled with trepidation and when my Grab driver departed (with a parting "are you going to be ok?"), a form of terror descended upon me when I realised I was utterly alone in the middle of nowhere with no form of communicating with anyone in the outside world; there was nobody else on the property. Just a spooky empty guest house with keys left in all the room doors, which were dark and stiflingly hot.
Seeing all those empty and lonely rooms in the dark - stretched to infinity with the keys sticking out of every single door - tipped me over the edge.... I braced myself for Jack Nicholson to pop his face out of a crack in the timber frame!!
So. No welcome, no WiFi, no people!
There WAS a small and shallow floodlight swimming pool - that, and the sound of crickets, were my only companions; as such, I anointed an abandoned football I found floating in the swimming pool Wilson.....
In summary, my self-selected pool chalet was functional and rustic, the small and shallow pool was a most welcome - and refreshing - touch, the housekeeper was kind - the only staff member I met on site - and I bitterly regret arriving after dark because the pretty property was indeed located in a remote, friendly and beautiful palm-fringed village where I snapped my first hibiscus bush (Malaysia's national flower) flowering along the roadside which was an apt and fitting ending for my first Malaysia Day..... 🌺

Voor Europese begrippen moesten we wel even aanpassen.
Gewoon kleine dingetjes; de bedden lagen niet top, en er zit schimmel op sommige muren, (en op de slippers). Maar we zijn vooral buiten en daar is het gewoon overal heel vochtig en warm, dus is het misschien wel niet te voorkomen.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Bilik sangat luas dan selesa. Katil dan bantal empuk. Bilik dilengkapi dengan aircond dan juga kipas. Waktu malam tido x perlu bukak aircond. Bukak kipas pun dah cukup sbb cuaca malam sangat sejuk. Staff juga sopan dan mesra pelanggan.
Tekanan air shower dlm bilik air agak slow. Mungkin boleh check semula.

every room has a wardrobe and many hangers provided. one bedroom at the back even equipped with iron facilities!
kitchen has washing machine and fridge, but we did not use as we stay only one night.

1. Bed- poor quality. Most of the beds out of spring.
2. The place was unhygienic and not clean at all. The linens have marks, the pillows have marks, the toilet still has faeces, the fridge and kitchen utensils not clean. I needed to scrub the toilet.
3. Unfortunately poor maintenance. Have all the facilities but poorly maintained.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2024So i booked 8 Rooms for my family members to attend a wedding near Jeram, and i found this location to be suitable for a night stay. This owner of the place is a very nice guy with a lady caretaker who was very kind. The rooms were way better, big & equiped with Toilet, heater, Aircond, Tv, dressing table with mirror & Hangers. They also have a small living room with Sofa, Ironing facility & a pantry with Microwave, hot & cold water dispenser. My family like it very much.
The Airconds in few rooms were noisy & not cold enough, i believe servicing the aircond once a month will improve those.

The noise from outside my room. There were other guest staying the next day and was making a big gathering just outside my room (common area) which I think you should keep your tone lower considering there are other guest staying on the same floor. So i decided to check out at around 3am eventhough I have paid in full before I lost my mind with the noise. But the owner was very kind.

If you're someone like me that cannot stand the cold, it is advisable to bring your own blanket as the blanket provided is a bit too thin. Otherwise, everything is great.

Reviewed Oct 20, 2023The room is so clean, aircond works well, there are a lot of facilities at this place, water heater, iron, water filter, water heater. Plus, I requested a bed from the owner and the owner gave me extra pillows as well.
I had a bad time finding this place, I almost lost because it was kinda dark around that area because I arrived near midnight, overall it is great place to stay
