Babel Siem Reap Guesthouse

My room was excellent and as advertised. Location is fairly central, although Siem Reap is quite spread out in general, but within walking distance to Pub Street and main downtown, and not far in a tuk tuk to the main temples. Pool was great.

Super clean, friendly guesthouse. Massively exceeded our expectations (which were not low!) Fab bar and restaurant downstairs. Exceedingly helpful, friendly staff. We loved this place and will recommend it to anyone who asks!

Walls were a little thin, for sure, although we did not suffer any issues with this as other guests were very courteous and quiet at night time. No fridge in room which was a bit of a bummer.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Probably the best place we have stayed thus far in our travels - a beautiful property in a perfect location, excellent bar (with proper cocktails available!)/restaurant, helpful and friendly staff, banging air con - what more could you want? Loved the eco friendly vibe too. They organised a tour of Angkor Wat for us and truly, it was brilliant. Our guide, Kim, was unparalleled in his knowledge and energy. He also is a photo wizard! We had such a wonderful time with him and would recommend you book the tour with the guesthouse just to have him as your guide! All in all, a great experience we would 100% repeat if we return to Siem Reap!

There isn’t a lift but this wasn’t an issue as the staff were super kind and helped us with our bags. Just to be aware if you have many many bags/prams etc!

Für den Preis ok, aber sie Klimaanlage ist unterdimensioniert. Das Zimmer lässt sich nicht angenehm temperieren. Es ist immer zu warm. Und im oberen Stockwerk schier unerträglich. Pluspunkt: der Swimmingpool. Und gegenüber kann man günstig Roller mieten für 10$/Tag

The owners and staff were awesome! We got to know many of them by name. The in-house restaurant became one of our favorites. They had a ton of vegetarian and vegan options too. They took care of all of our special food requests and seemed happy to accommodate. The pool was beautiful and clean. I swam in it almost every day. Other's in my group were hesitant because of the stigma of swimming in pools in other countries. They missed out! Chickens! Can't wait to visit again.

Le cadre est super chouette, on s’y sent super bien. Le personnel est toujours aux petits soins. Le plus de la piscine. La situation est parfaite : dans le centre mais un peu à l’écart de toute l’agitation. Et gros bonus pour la nourriture de l’hôtel qui est incroyable : on a pris un petit-dejeuner et un déjeuner là-bas et c’était succulent!

Il faut s’y attendre et je pense que c’est partout pareil mais nous avions une chambre côté rue et nous avons été un peu dérangés par le bruit. Mais, c’est le jeu, si on veut être au centre d’une grosse ville!

Photos do not do this guesthouse justice - it is BEAUTIFUL. Such a lovely, green oasis in busy Siem Reap! The staff, bar offering, amenities, overall building and facilities are great. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. Room was quiet and spacious.

The bed was very hard, aside from this - all was lovely.

Schönes kleines Hotel, mit großen Zimmern, gemütlichen Betten und einem schönen Poolbereich. Das Zentrum war zu Fuß gut erreichbar und die Lage war weit genug vom Zentrum entfernt, so dass es schön ruhig war. Außerdem gab es auch viele Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr toll und empfehlenswert sind die Touren, die das Hotel organisiert! Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen.

Super staff, très bons conseils et adresses, autant pour les restaurants et cafés que pour les temples d’Angkor. Excellent rapport qualité prix.

Er hangt een hele chille, leuke sfeer. Iedereen die er werkt is erg vriendelijk en zorgzaam (mijn man had een arts nodig en Siri gaf ons meteen alle info die we nodig hadden én regelde een tuktuk). De gedeelde ruimte/restaurantje, met een leuk kinderhoekje, is mooi en gezellig. Het eten was elke keer weer heel erg jummie. Ik las in een recensie dat de kamers nogal gehorig waren. Wij vonden het er net heel rustig om te slapen. De kamer is fijn ingericht met oog voor detail. Goede matras en hoofdkussens. Wat meespeelde bij het kiezen van dit guesthouse is het maatschappelijk engagement van de eigenaars: hun visie op duurzaamheid die verweven is in de hele werking (een verleidelijk ecowinkeltje 😀), de vele sociale projecten en de ruimte die geboden wordt aan het team om zich verder te vormen.

Als ik dan toch iets zou moeten opmerken is dat het niet altijd even makkelijk was om een plekje bij het zwembad te vinden.

Laid back vibe, nice food, pleasant pool area. Easy walk into town. No complaints at all; would stay again.

Very cosy place with great smiling personal. I enjoyed the food and the drinks - very good prices. I although booked with them an one day trip to the temple with a guide and tuk tuk :) it was awesome. In the evening they booked for us very good places at dance show with buffet and a tuk tuk.

We booked this accommodation as part of our honeymoon trip from NZ because it looks tidy, had a nice pool and the description highlighted the focus on couples, solo travels etc. overall the pool is nice, the room is spacious and the restaurant makes really good food.

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay here because this is actually a family focused guesthouse which is not widely advertised on Booking.com. Due to the guesthouse nature the walls are thin and you can hear through the walls and above/below you. The pool was not relaxing due to how many children were constantly in it and some parents thought it was acceptable to have their kids running around, throwing things, screaming etc. well past 10pm. The bed was also way too hard and the bathroom sink and toilet had constant water sitting next to it - I told the staff but they weren’t bothered. After our second of 5 nights I contacted the property to ask to be moved to their Hotel because we couldn’t put up with all of this any longer, fortunately they were able to move us there for no additional cost, it was nicer than the guesthouse and we are grateful.

The outdoor area including the kids areas are very nice. It is good looking and very welcoming. The family room option was very practical for our family with 2 double bed in the same room. The staff is very kind.

The bedsheets were stained so they did not look so clean and fresh. The mattresses are a bit aged and were not so comfortable. The bathroom could be renovated.

A very nice Guest house, close to everything, and most important hotel staff are so nice, smiling allways and helpful...Food excellent...Reasons why we would return to this hotel ;-)

Sobe su puno losije nego na slikama, sve sobe imaju resetke na prozorima, prozor je gledao na prolaz ka bazenu, sobe su imale fleke plijesni a posteljina fleke - moguce jer ih peru organskim sredstvima ali to mi je smetalo, po hotelu se treba hodati bos a to nam isto nije prirodno a nije bas tako ni cisto

Excellent customer service. The tours, activities, and airport transportation they helped arranged for us were wonderful. The pool was perfect. The location was close to several great restaurant options and an easy walk to pub street.

Very kind and organised staff. Made the stay and visit absolutely seamless and smooth. Helpful to also allow us to use the day after storage, pool, and shower.

Great location in the centre or a busy, lively area, and I loved the eco shop and sustainable ethos of the guesthouse. The room was spacious and light, nothing fancy but suited our needs. The staff were friendly and the pool area was small but well equipped and set out. The food was delicious and really good price. Overall great value for money.

The bathroom needed updating. A very small thing, but the room was super light in the mornings, which woke us up when we could have done with a bit more sleep. Maybe darker/thicker curtains would help?

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour ici. La chambre était confortable et propre et nous étions heureux de pouvoir nous détendre à la piscine après de longues journées de visite.

La piscine est superbe. L'espace jeu enfant aussi... Bel hôtel les photos ne sont pas représentative je trouve, car c'est beaucoup plus jolie en vraie. Hôte accueillant.

Wasserstrahl im Waschbecken ein Rinnsal. Leider keine frisch gepressten Säfte ausser Kokonut und Karottensaft mit zu viel Eis. Sonst nur Shakes...Onwohö doch Wert auf natürlich unf frisch gelegt wird. Glücklicherweise habe ich nicht den Pick Up Service vom Flughafen dutch fas Guesthouse gebucht, da US 35. Ich zahlte 10.

Babel is very cute! Love the sustainable values and the family feel. The neighbourhood was really nice and felt safe and the staff were really helpful with recommendations and booking tours. The pool area is fun and a nice place to relax after a busy day. The shop and refill stations were also really helpful.

Unfortunately the room felt a bit old and run down compared to the photos. Sadly you could feel the springs in the mattress which was quite uncomfortable, but may have just been our room. Could do with a freshen up and new linen/towels. Otherwise an okay budget stay in Siem Reap.
