I really appreciated how kind the staff was. They surprised both my partner and me with an anniversary treat and decorations to greet us when we came back to our room. The breakfast was arguably better than at some of the restaurants we went to, and the facilities were exactly what we were looking for: somewhere peaceful but still within a reasonable distance of all the major tourist spots. The driver who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport was also really kind!

There was nothing to hate or not like! The service was great, I highly recommend anyone considering this hotel to book!

Location, very far from many things. Kitchen was always out of stock of «basic» items, banana shake, mango shake or any juices were never available..

Bassenget, mange små områder for barnet kam være, veldig greit for oss med barn. Fine rom, har alt man trenger.

Kantene og steinene på bassenget, blitt ganske skarpe på steinene i den lille bassenget og trappe kantene var ganske skarpe så barnet mitt fikk en del skrap sår på kneet og fikk selv kutt på albuen etter å ha lent meg, brødrene mine og mannen på de under badingen. Ikke var bassenget renset så mye insekter, men vi tok oss tid med å kaste alle ut på kanten. Spesielt de svære. Restauranten, mangel på mye av maten på menyen under vårt tre netter opphold. Måtte le til slutt ettersom de ikke kunne lage bananshake eller banansplitt alle dagene, selv om vi så at de hadde mange bananer på kjøkkenet. Prøvde på noen andre mat men det var også ofte tomt. Skuffende for de hadde tjent mye på det spesielt når man ønsker å spise der istedenfor å dra ut. Det at man heller ikke kunne legge til ekstra var nytt og kjipt for vi sa til å med at vi kunne betale for det men det var vis ferdig posisjonert så var ikke mulig. Så veldig skuffende og spesielt når man har bodd tidligere/ når de først åpnet det. Ga mye gode minner men nå, bare trist. Ettersom det er veldig fint resort.

Do not underestimate the distance to town (20 minutes each way). It was easy to find a grab but it isnt so close / walking distance to anything. I was also double charged by mistake but the staff fixed it asap.

Super séjour au Secret Garden Resort, notre meilleur logement aux Philippines ! Le personnel est très gentil, serviable et toujours disponible pour aider. Ils nous ont aidés à réserver tuk-tuk, scooter, voiture et excursion très facilement et rapidement. Les chambres sont confortables, la clim fonctionne très bien et la piscine est grande et agréable. L’hôtel est un peu excentré donc très calme, mais il vaut mieux avoir un scooter ou une voiture pour se déplacer. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Esta bien. Tal vez como veniamos de un super resort, este nos parecio un poco mas sencillo. Esta muy limpio todo y cuidado pero las habitaciones tienen detalles que falta mantenimiento o algo de decoracion con gusto. Reservamos villa con piscina y la zona exterior estaba muy bien. Cama bien. Nos parecio que el precio es un poco elevado comparado con otros resorts, por lo que recibes. Personal muy amable.

The room was nice. Size was good. Food was good Pool was nice and clean... not private as claimed Im sure if you want the basic rooms with the pool access u might like it. But I paid way more than I should have for a private pool that wasnt

1. The private pools. Are not private. People can see thru the bamboo fence easily and see yiu clearly and if the neighbor cottage goes on their loft. They can see u also. We had trouble with pool cleaners invading space and passerby can see the pool clearly. 2. If you use yiur daily supply of 2 coffee and 2 waters. U must pay for more. This is the only hotel ive ever been they charge you for water. 3. Although above I said food was good. It was slow to be fixed. I thought they were waiting for my potatoes to grow. 4. Secret garden is so Secret cause location is pretty much away from everything. 5 food... at your meals. You're only allowed 1 cup of coffee or juice. No refills each cup u pay... again. Something else ive never encountered

Absolut nichts, es war alles wunderbar!

- Super ruhige Lage, mit dem Töff in 20min in der Stadt vorne. - Anlage sauber und gepflegt - Nettes, Hilfsbereites Personal - Töff Vermietung gleich unterhalb vom Hotel, kommen sogar hoch zum Hotel - Günstige Wäscherrei unten an der Hauptstrasse

1. Zimmer Wifi sehr schlecht. (Bar Wifi funktioniert besser - auch im Zimmer) 2. Touren welche Angeboten werden sind Qualitativ schlecht - sollten wieder mal über prüft werden, ob dies vertretbar ist. (Besonders die zu der Island Balicasag)

Es un remanso de paz a 20 minutos del centro en moto, las instalaciones estan bien cuidadas, se come bien, se duerme bien y te dan todas las facilidades como alquiler de moto excursiones o masajes. Las fotos hacen justícia, sin duda repetiría

Lo unico malo es la falta de wifi en la habitación. Y para acabar de mejorar.. no siempre tenían toda la carta disponible pero lo que comimos estaba muy bueno. Y una pena que el cesped de la piscina estaba seco.

Modern, well built villa, two bedrooms and a private pool for a reasonable price. Good air conditioners, although in the slightly larger bedroom it blows directly on to your head in bed, which is not ideal. The staff are helpful and attentive and the grounds are well kept. The food in the restaurant is of good quality. The breakfast coffee is good. The resort is peaceful, no noise and in a tranquil setting away from the road.

At dinner the first night there were a lot of mosquitoes around dusk, which then abated once it got dark. The “club mix” playlist was not appropriate for the restaurant setting. Luckily this was the first night only, then they played calmer music the following evenings. Unfortunately, we were woken up at 6am on our first morning by a staff member opening the front door to our villa before realising he had the wrong one and left, leaving the door unlocked. Airport transfer was 800php to arrive, then it went up to 1000php for airport transfer when we left (although this is due to rising transport costs/fuel costs in the Philippines due to the war in the Middle East). WiFi in the villa is patchy and weak.

Beautiful little resort in the middle of the forest. We had the two bedroom villa with a pool. Beautiful and clean. In the morning you get woken up by the sounds of the nature. Very friendly staff.

The AC in one room made some strange noise but cooled perfectly. The food was ok but not special .

Of you just want to chill, the peacefulness of the resort is ok. But if you want action, go somewhere closer to Alona beach.

A bit far from Alona beach. Resort policy is restrictive. Not allowing the guest to book their own choice of transportation pick up. We decided to walk to the road after being charged for 650 php for a car pick up for a 15 min ride to a resto. We only paid 219 php with Grab going back to the resort. I think the policy is too much of monopolizing the business. Also, not allowing the guests to bring in food that is bought from outside. What do you do if you have a left over from a resto?

It is quiet on all sides. The grounds are spacious, and the swimming pool is well maintained.

It is in a secluded location. You have to go up about 400 meters from the main road, and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The beach is also far away. Wi-Fi is only available near the front desk. Because the property is large, it does not work in the rooms or by the swimming pool.

저는 엄마와 휴가를 맞이하여 신중히 숙소를 고르다 이 곳을 발견했습니다. 처음에 가자마자 저희는 리조트 인테리어가 훌륭하여 몹시 흥분하고 기분이 들떴습니다. 그러나 그 곳에 머문지 하루가 지난 후 우리는 이 리조트의 허술함을 발견하였습니다. 몇가지 문제로 속상해하고 있었고 우리는 우연히 이곳의 매니저와 대화를 하게 됐습니다. Meriam과 대화를 하자마자 우리의 속상한 마음은 바로 사라졌습니다. 그녀는 우리의 컴플레인을 몹시 진중히 들어주었고 그녀의 태도와 좋은 매너는 이 리조트의 이미지를 다시 좋게 바꾸었습니다. 그녀는 이 리조트의 새로운 매니저이며 이 장소가 개선될 수 있도록 최선을 다하고 있었습니다. 그녀의 프로 정신에 우리는 감동하고 남은 시간 잘 있게 됐습니다. 먼 훗날 다시 이 리조트를 방문하여 어떻게 변했는지 또 경험하고 싶습니다. 추가로 리조트 바로 앞 염소들이 몹시 귀엽고 리조트에서 바이크와 차를 쉽게 빠르게 렌트할 수 있어 편리했습니다.

- FOOD SERVICES: we arrived one day late and we were offered late breakfast however when we went to breakfast, the waitress wasn’t well informed and she said that half of the menu is not available due to hours. they have a weird menu system where half of the menu is unavailable during lunch (which is just mentioned by an alphanumeric code on the menu, maybe mention this to the guests beforehand or have the hours in the menu) so there were only two items available on the breakfast menu out of maybe more than 10 which were very basic filipino dishes where you can easily get on a homestay for a much cheaper price. this went on every morning basically and we ended quiet annoyed and ended up never using this perk the management was aware of the situation so they offered us a 1000 pesos voucher for dinner, again same thing happened and nothing I tried to order was available on the menu. I even specifically asked this time for anything unavailable which the waitress said that they have everything but when ordering she just kept apologizing with every item and said it was unavailable WIFI: there was no wifi during our stay which they blamed on the weather but there was wifi anywhere else we went to on the island. we ended up using all our data and even though they offered us different wifis, those kept dropping and were unavailable at night as well FIRE DRILL: whole hotel got woken up one night at 3am by the fire alarm cause there was a malfunction, scary and again, I felt like everything kept malfunctioning in this hotel HOTEL ROOM: room was nice with a tv that didn’t have channels? and table lamps that were missing working light bulbs. DEPOSIT: over a month in the Philipines, our stays spanned from basic homestays to 5 star hotels. none of them asked for a deposit.

The property is set in large grounds that are very well maintained and the swimming pool is large and very clean with lots of comfortable sun loungers and seating around the pool. And a pool snack bar. There is plenty of private parking. The private bungalows look to be a very high standard. We stayed in a pool side room which was modern, nice, clean and comfortable.

There is a bar area by the pool and they put a bottle of wine on each table for display purposes only. But when you ask for a glass of wine they say that is not possible. In addition to this not many of the cocktails on the menu were available either. So I guess most people choose to eat out and the place felt soulless. So in summary although it is priced as a resort (slightly higher than you would pay for a room in Panglao) it didn’t feel that you were getting the services you would at a resort.

Der Service war super. Alle sind wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch die Touren-Buchung lief reibungslos. Sowohl die Anlage als auch die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein paar dekorative Akzente im Zimmer könnten die Atmosphäre verbessern. Auch das Internet im Zimmer könnte man ausbauen, selbst wenn ein Digital-Detox-Urlaub ab und zu gut tut. ;) Das Hotel ist so gestaltet, dass wenn einzelne Gäste sich nicht an die Regeln halten, wie bspw. angemessene Lautstärke, alle anderen Gäste davon beeinträchtigt sind. Daher wäre es wünschenswert, wenn das Hotelpersonal die vorhandenen Regeln besser durchsetzen würde.

Le petit déjeuner est minimalist, 1 collation la 2eme est payante, pas de fruits, ni jus de fruits mais le personnel est très gentil. Le ménage, nous sommes resté 9 nuits pas une fois il on changé les draps, il manque toujours un truc, la wifi ne marche pas bien, la télé non plus d'ailleurs. Le restaurant bof, il y a jamais de légumes, ils peuvent tellement faire mieux ont ne comprend pas.

Das Resort liegt ruhig und dennoch zentral. Es wird ein sehr gutes Frühstück angeboten. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und deutlich größer als üblich auf den Philippinen.

Es gibt leider keine Sitzmöglichkeit direkt vor den Zimmern. Es können jedoch diese um den Pool herum genutzt werden. Teilweise versagen die Steckdosen. Die Dusche hatte selten warm Wasser.

We had a good time. The whole place was new and the facilities were nice. They have a very nice pool and the rooms were nice given the outdoor setting. Breakfast was nice. We used the restaurant a few times and was good offering different western and local dishes. The staff was extremely helpful arranging transportation to different places. There hotel is about 20 minutes away from Alona beach which is the lively part of the Island so you need to take a $6-7 USD tuk tuk. It is safe and easy to get back to the hotel even at night.

The internet was very bad - wifi was on and off all the time. We mentioned it to the hotel and they said they were aware and were addressing the issue with management. Not an issue specific to the hotel, but there is a custom in the island to burn the garbage and there was constant smoke and smell.

Geweldige accommodatie Super lief personeel, heerlijk eten en geweldige faciliteiten! Echt een aanrader als je naar bohol gaat en lekker wilt relaxen tussen je dagtripjes door.

Zimmer waren sehr schön und Groß, es gab ausreichend Platz. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Pool war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war super und hat bei Fragen gerne weitergeholfen.

Es war schwer die Einfahrt ins Hotel direkt zu finden. Ist mit einem eher unauffälligen Schild gekennzeichnet. Die Wege im Hotel sind sehr schön, jedoch anstrengend mit dem Koffer zu bewältigen.

Breakfast is not buffet style but you have to choose from a variety of eggs, cereals etc... choosing between juice and coffee is really stupid. in general their breakfast is weak and terribly slow, and they have too many workers... which means total disorganization but that seems to be the standard in the Philippines. The location is ok if you have a motorbike, if not then better not because you are in the middle of nowhere and you have to spend a lot on transportation

- The hotel feels brand new — rooms are spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed, with very comfortable beds. - The facilities are serene and inviting, featuring beautiful swimming pools surrounded by plenty of loungers for relaxation. - Breakfast was consistently good, with a solid variety and nothing to complain about.

On the night we checked in, we encountered low water pressure. Although the maintenance staff responded promptly, it still took considerable time to resolve, and we ended up waiting nearly 1.5 hours before we could shower. A little more proactive communication or compensation from the staff would have helped, though this wasn’t a major issue. The hotel has a strict no outside food or drink policy, citing its on-site restaurant. While I understand the reasoning, the restaurant prices are noticeably higher than comparable options nearby, which felt a bit steep. This may not bother everyone, but it’s worth noting for budget-conscious guests. Despite these small cons, the positives far outweigh them. I would still highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

Secret Garden has a nice setup with a good outdoor pool, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the restaurant and especially liked the music playlist.

There was some smoke from neighbouring areas burning rubbish, which affected our stay at times, but the manager was understanding and offered a solution by relocating us to a less exposed room.

La struttura era accogliente in mezzo al verde, molto silenziosa, camera pulita e personale gentile.

Non andava l’acqua calda in stanza se non per 2 secondi letteralmente e il servizi ristorante e colazione era lentissimo. Da aggiungere cha la colazione inclusa significa scegliere solo un piatto da una lista e acqua, tutto il resto (caffè, succhi, frutta) a pagamento. Non mangiate al ristorante dell’albergo, cibo non buono e tempi di attesa infiniti nonostante fossimo l’unico tavolo.

I stayed here for 17 nights – and it was absolutely incredible. From the very beginning, the entire team, including the General Manager, made a real effort to connect with me. By the time I left, it genuinely felt like I was leaving part of my family behind. Everyone was consistently kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Everything I needed was always taken care of, and I was often surprised with complimentary fruit plates, which made the stay feel especially warm and personal. I had many meaningful conversations with the General Manager, and it felt less like guest–manager interactions and more like two people connecting. She shared her experience in resort management and her vision for the future of this place — there is so much potential here. This is absolutely a resort worth coming back to, and I’d already recommend securing a stay for 2026. The food deserves its own mention. Over 17 nights, I worked my way through the menu from top to bottom, and not a single dish disappointed. I was deeply impressed by the consistency and quality, especially given how extensive the menu is. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and genuinely delicious. The pool and lounge areas were always spotless, as was the accommodation. I stayed in one of the one-bedroom bungalows, which was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was a dream (the pillows especially), and the air-conditioning allowed me to keep the room perfectly comfortable at all times. A small but very meaningful detail: I trained at the gym most mornings and often returned just around or slightly after the 10am breakfast cutoff. One team member, Joy, always made sure my breakfast was ready regardless. It felt like having a friend there who genuinely looked out for me. The team also prepared a five-course Christmas dinner, which was exceptional and such a special experience. This place is something truly special, and it’s the people who make it so. THANK YOU GUYS I MISS YOU DEARLY

Great resort with very friendly staff. Far away from street noise. Very realxing. Room was nice and clean. Great swimming pool. The staff helped us with everything we needed. Nothing was problem.

It’s a nice modern property with a lovely pool and comfortable room.

The breakfast was good but the meals served in the restaurant at night were poor quality and not worth the money. We think they were actually frozen meals reheated. And the meal was served with cold fries. We sent it back to the kitchen.

Bei so einem Luxuriösen Resort, sollte das WLAN auf den Zimmer funktionieren und nicht nur im Poolbereich. Es hängen die neuesten und größten Fernseher im Zimmer die durch das nicht funktionierenden WLAN auf den Zimmern überhaupt nicht in Gebrauch genommen werden können. Also lieber an den Fernsehern sparen und mehr in das WLAN investieren, dann ist das Resort auf einem guten Weg

- rooms were very very clean - beds incredibly comfy - pool super clean - staff is the nicest I have ever experienced - breakfast 10/10 with option for cappuccino etc with natural milk

- not a complaint, rather an observation: no electrical socket in the bathroom wall so had to dry my hair in the room but there was no mirror so it was in the TV
