Très belle maison tres agréable, conçue et décorée avec beaucoup de goût et de soin. La piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques Le personnel est adorable et tres attentionné. Nous avons même pu avoir un cours de cuisine organisé par le cuisinier tres professionnel et on s’est régalé. Coin calme et facile d’aller à Galle en tuktuk

Esta villa es fantástica. Los dueños lo tienen todo perfecto y limpio. La piscina es un lugar donde reconectar y tienen a un cocinero que hace comidas y cenas que es una verdadera maravilla.

Villa Ema is een hele mooie rustige villa met een aantal kamers binnenin en een schitterend zwembad en een mooie ontbijtruimte. Ontbijt wordt door de chef gemaakt naar je eigen smaak. We verblijven veel in hotels maar deze behoorde wel echt tot een van de mooiste.

Bij het ontbijt krijg je geen koffie of thee. Ze laten je een kaart zien waaruit je allerlei drankjes als koffie en thee kunt kiezen maar deze betaal je wel aan het eind. Ik ben eigenlijk gewend dat bij een ontbijt koffie of thee zit inbegrepen.

Beautiful, tranquil and spacious, this was a perfect place to relax and reflect at the end of my trip.  The hosts were really welcoming and it felt like being with friends. They provided information on things to do in the area via WhatsApp before I arrived, as well as more personalised recommendations once I arrived. Hope to come back one day!

Un endroit magnifique, décoré avec goût et très propre ! Il est très bien situé, pas loin de la plage. Il y a le Bara Beach tout près qui est un endroit également exceptionnel pour boire un verre, manger et admirer le coucher de soleil !

Tout était parfait. Il manquait juste du gel douche et du shampoing à la salle de bain mais c'est vraiment un détail ...

La piscine, la villa, et le confort du lit

Odeur d’humidité dans la salle de bain. En revanche, on a trouvé que le personnel n’était pas du tout professionnel pendant toute la durée de notre séjour. Ils nous avaient oubliés le papier toilette dans la chambre. Mais si c’était que ça, c’est ok. Ils nous ont envoyés un rouleau tout mouillé comme si du café avait été renversé dessus. Lors du premier petit déjeuner, on ne nous a pas servi de boisson, on ne nous a rien proposé. Lors du second petit déjeuner, on nous avait demandé la veille ce qu’on souhaitait et l’heure, tout avait été convenu. Et en arrivant à 10h, ce n’était pas prêt, la dame a demandé à mon conjoint d’installer les boissons, les tasses pour nous, mais elle ne parle pas du tout anglais donc on ne comprendrais pas ce qu’on devait faire. Ensuite on nous indique que finalement il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner. Pour au final, venir nous servir quelque chose 5 minutes après. On trouve que ces attitudes n’ont pas du tout été professionnels.

1）主人和工作人员都非常热情。一直有真诚且让人舒服的微笑。 2）房子有设计感，且房间面积足够大且舒适。 3）离海边近，走几步就到一个不错的 cafe/bar 坐一会儿看大海。 4）非常细心和周到。看到我在阳台坐着受蚊虫困扰，主动给我送来并点上蚊香。得知我们要早起出发，还特意调整了早餐时间。主动询问我们想吃什么，给我们做了在斯里兰卡吃过最好吃的 oancake 和 hoppers。

Grande villa composée de plusieurs chambres privatives à quelques minutes de la plage et à une quinzaine de minutes en tuktuk de Galle. Notre chambre était spacieuse, propre et la literie confortable. La piscine était très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était gourmand. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Posto stupendo, immerso nel verde, la proprietaria gentilissima, la villa architettonicamente molto eclettica e particolare! Ci ha aiutato in qualsiasi cosa avessimo bisogno. La piscina è stupenda, rilassante e pulita.

Forse all'inizio, ci hanno proposto una camera alquanto piccola, angusta e col bagno esterno alla camera, ma quando gliela abbiamo fatto notare ce l'hanno cambiata immediatamente con una più grande e col bagno interno alla camera.

The Villa is gorgeous - clean, modern and absolutely stunning. The pool was amazing (we thought it was heated and enjoyed a night swim). Breakfast was delicious and accommodated for the adults wanting traditional Sri Lankan food, and the kids a more western option. But, without a doubt, what makes this a 10 is the host - she is kind, caring, attentive to anything needed and goes above and beyond to make your stay. We loved it and would readily stay again.

I had a great stay at Villa Ema. The hotel has a lovely calm atmosphere and excellent facilities. My room was very comfortable, with a great bed and a powerful shower. It’s also perfectly located just a five-minute walk to the beach. Very accommodating hotel manager. I had a late flight, and she kindly arranged for me to have a shower in the evening before heading to the airport, which made a big difference. A very relaxing and well-run place to stay.

Die Unterkunft ist total toll. Die Besitzerin ist super freundlich und gibt sich total viel Mühe, dass alle Wünsche erfüllt werden. Die Unterkunft ist zwar etwas außerhalb, aber wir haben die Ruhe total genossen und konnten die letzten Tage nochmal abschalten. Die Anlage ist super schön und es wirkt so, als wäre man an einem ganz anderen Ort. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen und würde sie wieder buchen

Une très belle villa, soignée, esthétique et confortable. De plus, la responsable a été charmante et toujours attentive à nous rendre service. La proximité de Galle (15 minutes en tuk-tuk) et d'une très belle plage et d'excellents restaurants (10 minutes à pied) nous a permis de passer cinq jours très agréable. Un établissement à recommander !

Rustige locatie

Villa Emma was a lovely property-beautiful, modern, and with a very homely feel. It has a unique charm that really makes it stand out. Our hostess, Sitara, who also lives on the property was incredibly welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was very large and spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, and the bathroom was also generously sized. The amenities provided were great and had everything we needed. Although we only stayed for one night, we really enjoyed our time there and would definitely return. The pool looked absolutely beautiful too, even though we didn’t get a chance to use it. Highly recommended!

Grote villa, fijn zwembad. Vooral gaaf voor een grotere groep om de hele villa te huren. Lichte en grote kamers.

Maar twee zonnebedden, geen andere mogelijkheid om bij het zwembad te zitten of liggen. Keuken in de villa niet te gebruiken ivm weinig spullen. Personeel was erg jong, konden niet echt goed koken en spraken geen Engels. Weinig privacy en zithoek nodigt niet echt uit.

This is a family run up scale kind of bed and breakfast, with large, modern rooms and bathrooms in a huge villa with a common kitchen and living area. The outside premises with a lush garden and nice pool is a big plus. The location close to the beach area with several restaurants is also great. If you are looking for a peaceful place with modern amenities and friendly, but simple service, this is the right place.

The property is beautiful. Very tastefully done and spotless. Exactly like the pictures. It’s minutes from a quiet beach with a few beach cafés. We stayed two nights. The room was huge, lots of storage. The host and the staff were very sweet. Breakfast is lovely. Hikkaduwa beach is about 30 minutes and galle fort is about 20 minutes by car. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work on the second day.

The place is absolutely beautiful and so well looked after and it’s very calm and peaceful. Rooms are lovely and beds were super comfortable. Can’t wait to come back!

Ein Traum! Wir haben uns richtig wohlgefühlt und die Besitzer des wunderschönen Anwesens sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Nur wenige Minuten sind wir zum Strand gelaufen. Hier gibt es einige Bars und Restaurants. Ansonsten haben wir total einfach Tuk-Tuks gebucht oder sind mit dem Bus, der nur wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt hält, gefahren.

From the owner to the staff everyone were super friendly! This locations is super close to anywhere in Galle and also the neighbourhood was nice too. Was super clean and the breakfasts were amazing. The owner Sithra makes sure you get a good variety of options. More than anything the villa itself is beautiful. Great for anyone to stay.

Przepiękne zadbane miejsce, czysto jak nigdzie! Piękny basen, przemiła właścicielka, dom jest śliczny, łóżko wygodne, wybitnie dobre śniadanie. Dookoła cisza i spokój. Chciałabym zostać dłużej!

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They provided a 7 day itinerary of things to do in advance which was handy. The villa is very modern, clean, one of the best showers we have encountered travelling around Asia, very powerful and hot. Nice toiletries were provided. The villa offers a laundry service, which was quick and reasonably priced. The quality of the wash was the best we have had. Quiet and private location, short walk to a very nice beach bar, which also has beach yoga every morning. Uber and pick me worked well, and it was very easy to get to the old fort in Galle for the day and to organise onward travel.

We would have liked more options at breakfast, every day is different so there is variety but it is 1 set option, you don’t have a choice. We understand their normal chef wasn’t available during our stay so this may not be the case all the time.

Beautifully designed property with lovely swimming pool and surrounding greenery. Away from main road. Charming hosts and friendly staff. Beach within east walking distance, with good seafood restaurants equally easy to reach on foot.

If you’re keen to be in the urban centre of Galle, (we weren’t), able to walk to your sightseeing spots ( eg the fort) from your homestay, this is not for you. It is located approx half an hour by cab from Galle centre. We liked the relaxed location of Vila Ema

A nice, very well-kept modern villa with five rooms. It now even has a proper swimming pool. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again.

The room was large, the wify really good, the service great and the beach was walking distance. It was very clean and well-kept.

Villa Ema is werkelijk een plaatje, een architectonisch hoogstandje. Een prachtige uitstraling waarbij gebruik is gemaakt van de beste materialen en voorzien van alle gemakken. Een heerlijk zwembad, diverse zitjes, zowel binnen, als buiten. Een heerlijk bed met fijn beddengoed, fijne ruime badkamer met warm water en een lekker ontbijt met keuze uit continentaal of sri lankaans. Drinkwater is gratis te verkrijgen. Zeer gastvrije gastheer en gastvrouw en bedienend personeel. Weg van de drukte/doorgaande weg maar wél op slechts 300 meter gezellige restaurantjes aan het strand. Er zijn ook kleine winkeltjes in de buurt.

Helemaal niets. Als je jezelf ergens aan zou willen storen dan zouden het de omgevingsgeluiden kunnen zijn van een zo nu en dan voorbijrijdende trein of de geluiden van een verderop gelegen moslimschool, maar het heeft ons geen moment gestoord.

Wow è stato Tutto perfetto ben oltre ogni mia aspettativa! La villa si trova a pochi chilometri da Galle ed è bellissima! Si respira la pace più assoluta, immersa nel verde è curata in ogni minimo dettaglio. Gli arredi sono stupendi, la piscina è meravigliosa, le camere sono spaziose, arredate in modo semplice ma con gusto, ben pulite, i letti comodi, all’interno non manca nulla viene fornito shampoo, bagnoschiuma, nessun problema di acqua calda. La colazione la mattina è varia e molto soddisfacente. La famiglia che mi ha accolto è stata sempre gentile e attenta a tutte le mie necessità. Bravissimi, avete creato un posto magico, dove bisognerebbe trascorrere almeno 3/4 giorni per rilassarsi!

Fantastic place

Vila din apropiere de Galle a fost a noua noastră cazare din concediul de 24 de zile din Sri Lanka, din decembrie 2025 - ianuarie 2026. Proprietatea este modernă, interiorul arată foarte bine. Când am fost noi, proprietarul făcea niște îmbunătățiri de care se vor bucura următorii clienți. Micul dejun a fost gătit foarte bine, chiar dacă nu am scăpat de clasicele ouă, nelipsite din orice masă de dimineață din insulă (probabil pentru că sunt foarte ieftine). Dar la Galle măcar au fost gătite și prezentate puțin altfel. Proprietarul este foarte sociabil și politicos. Se cunoaște că a lucrat în industria ospitalității la firme mari. De la cazare, cu un Tuk Tuk, se ajunge foarte ușor la Unawatuna, o plajă superbă, sau la orașul colonial Galle. De aici ne-am întors pentru încă vreo câteva zile la revelația Bentota, unde am stat la Aayu's Guest.

Wunderschöne, moderne Villa mit geräumigen, gemütlichen Zimmern. Eigene Terrasse und schöner Poolbereich. Alles gepflegt und sauber. Der Strand ist in Gehweite. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut betreut gefühlt. Es tat uns Leid, dass wir nur für eine Nacht gebucht hätten. Definitiv eine Empfehlung.

The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and accommodating. They genuinely went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable, which we really appreciated. The place itself was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay.

Villa Ema was the nicest accommodation we stayed in durning our whole stay in Sri Lanka. The owners are really the nicest and friendliest people we ever met! The room is spotless clean, the house is beautiful and the breakfast was extraordinary. If you stay in Galle you have to stay in Villa Ema!

The place is amazing! The room was very clean, spacious and luxurious. The lady was very nice and we shared great talks. They have a very skilled personal chef that cooks delicious food. I would recommend eyes closed!

Het is een mooi huis. De kamers zijn ruim. Het huis is stijlvol ingericht, netjes en schoon. Het personeel is erg hartelijk. Het ontbijt was erg goed en elke ochtend anders. Fijn dat de accommodatie ook een laundry service heeft.

Wij hadden wat andere verwachtingen bij onze kamer. We hadden de ‘suite met twee slaapkamers’ en hadden verwacht dat deze in één af te sluiten ruimte zouden zijn. Het waren echter twee aparte slaapkamers die op de gemeenschappelijke gang uitkwamen. Net als de badkamer. Hierdoor moesten we steeds de gang op om naar de badkamer te gaan of naar de andere slaapkamer waar onze kinderen sliepen. Afhankelijk van de samenstelling van je gezelschap is dit al dan niet een probleem. Voor ons was het in ieder geval niet ideaal. De locatie vonden we niet geweldig. De accommodatie zit best ver van Galle Fort vandaan (15-20 minuten met de auto). Het strand in de buurt van de accommodatie is prima, maar kan niet tippen aan de stranden in de omgeving. We hadden best wat geluidsoverlast in de kamer. Er zit een moskee vlakbij, er blaffen honden en de trein komt vlakbij langs. We hebben dan ook niet geweldig geslapen.

Beautiful villa with super friendly hosts. You will be taken care of 24/7 with anything you need - organize your ti on the island, hire any guides etc. I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything at all. Just relax. The villa is situated far from noisy city and you will be surrounded by beautiful jungles with fresh air and nice vibes like in White Lotus.

The owner was very much cordial. She tried to make us comfortable from all sides. Everytime I passed-by her she greeted with a smile. The staff are good as well.

A wonderful property and interior design. The Owners are a lovely couple, very welcoming with a wonderful vision for service in beautiful Galle. The staff are all helpful including the chef making meals at our request, A great touch to the villa. The yard is very green, with a soft lawn, sun beds and a hammock. Elephants are a 15 minute Walk.
