Reviewed Aug 8, 2025l'hôtel était fermé et ceci depuis 3 mous selon les voisins alors que j'avais reçu un email de confirmation. Qu'elle surprise désagréable d'autant que j'arrivais tard le soir !!! J'espère que ça n'arrivera plus car ça met un doute sur la fiabilité de ce site que j'utilise toujours lors de mes voyages.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2025Just delightful. The staff was friendly and shared interesting local facts. A staff driver helped me go to town and find items I needed. The Hostel main floor is arranged in a way that makes it fun to meet other guests. They even held a bag for me in a locked room while I visited an island, and I collected it safely the next week.
Check out time was a bit earlier than standard.

The bed sheet didn’t seem so clean, like they’d already been slept in. Some guy in the room came in at 2am and showered, switched lights on etc but that’s a hostel for you I suppose!

Reviewed Feb 19, 2025Super friendly Personal! You get a beer when you arrive *_* Great „bang-for-buck“. It’s directly at the Port and at the Sea. There is the opportunity for luggage storage. If you go to Koh Rong for example for a Trip.
Breakfast could be better. The lockers in the Room are quite small - no way you could fit a Travel Backpack inside. The Beds are quite squeaky and loud, so if someone gets up at night, then so is everyone else.

Reviewed Feb 3, 2025I am writing this review on the train to Phnom Penh. When I arrived in Sihanoukville，I found this hostel not far from where I got off the bus，so I chose to stay here. The hostel is very close to the beach. Standing on the balcony on the 3rd floor，you can see the sea. There are also some entertainment facilities on the first floor，we can rest here. I stayed here for 2 days，feeling great！

Reviewed Jan 23, 2025The best price for the best location. They are a new hostel so everything is new and clean. The beds are brand new and bathrooms, etc. The location sits up a hill overlooking the ocean and so it gets a cold breeze which cools everything down. There is also air conditioning. Ferry terminal port and train station and the entire downtown is within walking distance. They sell tickets for boat and bus to any destination. This is a good stop over point to take a break.

Reviewed Jan 14, 2025Probably the best location for value. I paid a little less than the normal dorm bed rate for Cambodia and everything was perfect. I arrived by train and took the boat service to the island the next day. It was an easy walk from the train to the hostel and then to the port for the boat. Everything is central to the hostel. It looks out over the water and the name is accurate, there is a view of the island. If you want a swimming pool, then I suppose that you can go next door. Otherwise, everything is provided at Island View Hostel.

Reviewed Jan 7, 2025A hostel in sihanoukville can’t get much better than this. Tom is such a nice guy, creating a beautiful and entertained ambience. The dorms are cool and well equipped, and the hostel is close from the piers where the boats to the islands arrive and leave.
9.5/10 because IMO one single bathroom for the dorm could get a little busy at times.

We arrived and our room wasn’t ready as our booking had been messed up the host was intoxicated and unprofessional this could’ve been fine but the fact that we came hours later and he’d forgotten to get our room sorted even hours later. We were then put into a room while the beds and sheets were frantically changed. The bunk bed was pretty unstable and probably quite dangerous. I’ve never been one to leave a negative review but I think it’s definitely worth noting if you’re planning on travelling.

Reviewed Nov 27, 2024It had a family feel to the place, and everyone was very welcoming and made you feel at home. They have a pool table, dart board, and a great bar. My dorm room had a balcony with a hammock to relax and watch the world go by. It's only a 10 minute walk from the ferry port.
Maybe a few tours could be advertised for people who want to see outside of Sihanoukville.
