Das Hotel ist halt erstens in den Jahren. Uns hat das nichts ausgemacht, vielmehr Charm.

Needs some updates. Room we had was updated but the hallway carpets were old and musty. Beautiful old elevator broke down...trying to save money on a proper maintenance program maybe??

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026The hotel is located on the Fjord and what a view. A beautiful place and the hotel is comfortable. The food was very good at dinner. We are vegetarian and the chef took interest in providing us with a very nice meal.
The lift was not functioning when we got there so we had to struggle up with our luggage. Single beds joined up with a quilt for each person feels like a compromise. all the hotels we stayed at in Norway seemed to be with this method and the mattresses are soft - we are used to something more firm.

Hotellet bærer preg av å være nedslitt. Rommene er ok, men tepper på gulvet er ikke 2026 standard. Spesielt ikke for allergigere. Prisen står ikke i stil til hotellet. Betaler for mye for fjordutsikt. Frokosten bærer preg av at de fleste som bor på hotellet skal gå Dronningstien.

Breakfast was disappointing. Only black coffee,only two kinds of tea-bags, only milk and water to choose from for cold drinks. The eggs and pancakes was dry and overcooked. Few options for ham and cheese and also for yoghurt.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026La posizione, strategica per il cammino delle quattro cascate, il sentiero della Regina e per andare a Lofthus (con i suoi meravigliosi frutteti). Non male la colazione. Nostra suite ampia e ben tenuta con bella vista.
Le parti comuni non sono ben tenute, l'ascensore sembra un montacarichi (peraltro si è rotto). Il tutto dovrebbe essere reso più norvegian style, soprattutto tenuto conto della bellissima zona in cui sorge.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Het hotel is mooi gelegen en de kamer had een prachtig uitzicht op het fjord. Parkeren kan gratis voor de deur. De bedden lagen top. We konden zelfs al eerder de kamer in dan de officiële inchecktijd.
Het hotel ruikt een beetje muf en voelt wat oubollig aan. De badkamer is ouderwets en lijkt uit de vorige eeuw te komen. De stortbak van de wc lekte continu water in de toiletpot. Het ontbijt was simpel. De prijs-kwaliteit staat niet tot elkaar in verhouding.

Noise from other people using the bathroom or the shower on top of the room ( maybe it was just my room but it was a lot of noise, I could hear them taking a shower etc ). If you have the audacity to take a loaf of bread from the breakfast buffet to your room they will come after you and stop you like if you are a criminal. be ready. I understand the hotel has the right to dictate its rules but seeing how expensive the place is in high season I was really surprised with the lack of "hospitality". People looking to book should be aware that this place feels more like a prison that you pay for than a hotel.

Frokosten. Lite eggerøre igjen, og det som var igjen, var nærmest størknet. Motbydelig. Stekte små poteter og sopp. Soppen var nærmest gummiaktig, har aldri smakt maken. Skallet på potetene var også nærmest gummi. Ingen fylte på kaffe og tevann hvis man ikke ba om det, selv om det lenge var tomt.
