Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The whole thing. The room was huge and the bed really comfy. I liked the quirky layout of the shower/toilet and it had a fridge and microwave. Breakfast isn't included but the use of the fridge and microwave plus the kettle and tea/ sugar/ coffee more than made up for that and we're not in the habit of having cooked breakfasts anyway. There was a step up onto the window sill which had loads of room for laying out your make up so you could put it on in a good light. The view from the window was lovely too and Maria and Seamus were so friendly and welcoming.

I really appreciated the little touches like the chocolates and the mini fridge stocked with juice and water. The bed was extremely comfortable, the location was perfect, and the house itself was absolutely beautiful. We had an incredible stay and would definitely love to come back.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Beautiful location, big room with facilities, fresh milk and orange juice was left for us as well as a bottle of water. Free parking, comfortable beds and nice chocolates.
Bathroom was just glass which is very intimate when with friends. It was very warm in the room at night even with windows open.

1.There seemed to be a smell of stale smoke in the hallway? Don't know if the owners are smokers or if it was something to do with the wood burning stove downstairs. 2. Brushed cotton sheet and duvet cover were too warm.

Was people talking underneath my room and could hear them needed a good sleep for work and didn’t stop till about 2am.

However, the cold room with poor heating!!! I wore pj's, jumper, coat socks and hat to bed and still couldn't get warm.

Reviewed May 13, 2025Visited Ireland for 3 weeks with my boyfriend from Denver, Colorado for my 30th birthday and stayed here while we visited Hill of Tara and Trim. The country and places we've stayed have been amazing, including The White Quarry House. Maria was a great host, very nice and helpful. The room was clean and had lots of storage. The bathroom was also clean and spacious, I LOVED the huge bathtub. No other places we've stayed on the trip had a bath tub at all. The grounds were beautiful as well and I loved the landscaping. Tons of parking. Gorgeous town. Thank you!
My boyfriend is 6 foot 5 inches tall and the bed was a little too short for him. It's fine though, it's his fault for being too tall. Still very comfy beds. I am 5 foot 8 and fit just fine.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, maybe the mattress was slightly sloped. But it didn’t stop us having a good night’s sleep.

Very comfortable, warm and quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room. Food for breakfast (cereals, bread) and snacks in the room, which was perfect for me as I had to leave early.
