Lo único negativo que tiene este hotel es que Las habitaciones entra mucha luz en la mañana, lo que impide dormir suficiente. Pero es un excelente lugar. Solo falta un buen blackout

Le Villa Serena bénéficie d'une situation absolument exceptionnelle. Le cadre est enchanteur, romantique et offre des vues à couper le souffle sur la mer. Le magnifique jardin, parfaitement entretenu, invite à la détente dans un calme absolu. L'atmosphère de l'hôtel est paisible et reposante, y compris dans les chambres, ce qui en fait un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer. Nous avons séjourné quatre nuits dans une très belle suite, spacieuse, confortable et parfaitement adaptée à un séjour de plusieurs jours. La décoration, bien qu'un peu datée, apporte beaucoup de charme et d'authenticité à l'établissement. Le véritable point fort de l'hôtel est sans aucun doute son personnel. Toutes les personnes que nous avons rencontrées ont été d'une extrême gentillesse, toujours souriantes, attentionnées et soucieuses de rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Leur professionnalisme et leur bienveillance ont largement contribué à faire de cette expérience un excellent souvenir. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la possibilité de profiter d'un massage face à la mer, réalisé par une masseuse très expérimentée. Un moment de détente exceptionnel, parfaitement en accord avec l'atmosphère paisible de l'hôtel. L'établissement propose enfin de nombreuses activités, comme des excursions, des cours de yoga le matin, et bénéficie d'un accès à certaines des plus belles plages de la région, ce qui en fait une excellente base pour découvrir Las Galeras.

Quelques détails pourraient encore améliorer l'expérience. Une machine à café dans les chambres serait un véritable plus, notamment pour les séjours de plusieurs jours. Les salles de bains sont spacieuses, mais leur aménagement reste très sommaire et assez spartiate au regard du standing général de l'hôtel. Notre principale déception concerne la restauration. Les petits-déjeuners sont copieux, servis avec beaucoup d'attention par une équipe toujours aussi agréable, mais la qualité des préparations ne correspond pas au niveau attendu d'un établissement de cette catégorie. Le bacon, les pancakes, le banana bread ou encore le pain perdu manquent de finesse et de saveur. Le même constat s'applique aux cocktails, préparés avec soin mais qui restent assez décevants sur le plan gustatif. Enfin, le service de blanchisserie mérite d'être amélioré. Le linge nous a été restitué propre, mais non repassé, ce qui est décevant pour un établissement de ce standing et ne correspond pas au niveau de qualité attendu. Malgré ces quelques points perfectibles, le Villa Serena reste une adresse d'exception que nous recommandons sans hésiter. Son cadre unique, son calme, la beauté de son jardin, la qualité de son accueil et l'atmosphère authentique qui s'en dégage en font un lieu où nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Si vous recherchez un séjour romantique, paisible, face à la mer, avec un service humain et chaleureux, n'hésitez pas une seule seconde. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hotel Villa Serena is a peaceful, relaxing holiday destination. The view from our bedroom was spectacular. I highly recommend the excursion by boat to Playa Rincon.

The restaurant has plenty of options but the food does not meet the price tag. AC was very loud and bathroom shower was leaking.

I loved the property . The minute you walked onto the lobby the view of the waterfront it’s breathtaking. Front desk Carolina was so nice and make sure we were happy with our accommodations. The staff is kind , attentive and genuine . Breakfast was fantastic, meals were nourishing and healthy , we had fresh juices every morning . Then for me , having daily morning yoga sessions with Angelina followed by a meditation session was a huge boost to the way my days were unfolding . There’s just so many positive things I could say about this location that i don’t know where to start and finish . Overall experience was amazing !

I think this hotel has the best view in Las Galeras. I was impressed how well maintained was the garden, the breakfast was very delicious, with a lot of options. The yoga class is a plus but it would be great if the hotel had a gym as well. The room and the common areas were very clean. Restaurant and cleaning staff very helpful and polite

I did not like that they did not charge the price from my credit card as it was said. We arrived there and they gave me a bill in DOP -peso dominicano (even though in all other hotels/hostels/private homes we could pay directly in USD). It would not have been a problem but when they transformed the price in USD into national currency they used an exchange rate much bigger than the official one. We ended up paying 20 USD more than it was said in my booking. Though the difference is not big what bothered me the most was that they did not informed us about the exchange rate. When I finally saw my account statement and I asked the front office employee (the yoga teacher) she was very unhelpful. She told me that was the politics of the hotel. For four stars hotel this is unacceptable.

We loved the location and the beach in front of the hotel, the water is so clear and the color is just unbelievable, so beautiful. You can book tours at the hotel and they pick you up right at the beach in front of the hotel.

The breakfast menu was somewhat limited for us as we were staying for a full week, so we had to repeat the same dishes a couple of times. But all in all, it was good.

Peu de personnel souriant, facturation de l’eau filtrée servi au restaurant pourtant gratuite dans la chambre, aucun équipement dans la chambre ( pas de téléphone pour la réception, café soluble, peu de choix de thé ou tisane), literie horrible, lit très étroit, vétusté globale (meubles et équipements), nombreuses erreurs au niveau de la facturation de la restauration, yoga pouvant être annulé le jour même par l’hôtel.

Die Zimmereinteilung und -Ausstattung war nicht sehr funktional (keine Nachttischlampen, Betteinstieg nur von einer Seite), wenig Ablageflächen.

L´emplacement est fabuleux au calme au bord de l´océan avec un jardin luxuriant, à 10 min de la rue centrale de Las Galeras. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et serviable. Le petit déjeuner est bien, attention certaines boissons sont en supplément. Les cours de yoga sont très agréables. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une belle terrasse.

A savoir, il y a des escaliers pour accéder aux chambres, petit déjeuner, etc...

The Hotel is located on a beautiful spot, the views are gorgeous! There is no beach directly in front of the hotel but they are in easy walking distance. Loved the kayak and the yoga on the big platform by the water. Though the building is dated, it has character and all the little extras like yoga, the hammocks on all the balconies or the wonderful a la carte breakfast made it a great place to stay.

The internet stopped working altogether for one afternoon and evening, though when it was working it was quite fast.

The bed, especially the topper, the beach, the massages, the attention to detail.

Breakfast could be bigger, and it would be nice to get more drinkable water per day.

Ontzettend vriendelijk en attent personeel. De massage was heerlijk (absolute aanrader) en daarna is het perfect ontspannen met een exotische cocktail aan de buitenbar. Het privéstrandje met zacht golvend helder water is heerlijk. Het uitzicht op een privé-eilandje maakt de setting idyllisch en het vakantiegevoel compleet. Wij hebben echt intens genoten!
