Awesome location and a great sunset

Clear communication with the host. House was clean and welcoming (home baking and extra bonus!). Everything in the kitchen was easy to use. Beds were very comfortable and warm. Lovely to sit watching the pounding surf from the living area.

There was nothing to spoil our stay!

Communication was fantastic. The house was very comfortable with a fantastic view to the ocean and only a short walk to the beach. The home baking was a real surprise for which we were delighted. Highly recommended

This place is exceptional! Extremely well appointed with highest quality furniture and bedding, and a well stocked chefs pantry. It’s a beautiful executive Home, not your average holiday rental, we were so so impressed. Our host Lance was extremely helpful too, adding permanent modifications to his home to accommodate our child with a disability, at no extra cost. We can’t thank you enough Lance, absolutely brilliant. The direct beach access is unbeatable too. We will definitely be back.

View is spectacular and easy access to the beach was fabulous. Lance was incredibly generous in the provision of home made biscuits which was a lovely touch.

Lance is working on upgrading elements of the property to improve people’s experiences. The drive way was a little scary at first.

We loved our stay at this cozy home. The views are amazing and it was wonderful to be located right on the path to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer. Lance, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating with our stay.

We really liked this home. The views were fabulous and the location next to the beach was great. Parking in the garage was good because we could pack and unpack the car in the rain. The house was very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The baking in the cupboard was a super bonus - absolutely delicious. We loved all the plants and quirky lighting.

What a lovely house in an amazing location. The beach is great and can be viewed from the lounge or you can take a quick walk down to it. Everything was nice and clean. Will definitely stay again.

There were a few personal effects(family photos) etc and a lot of food in the fridge which made it seem as though we were staying in someone's family home. But not a big issue just a little different to what I am used to.

This is definitely a home away from home. Loved everything and the home baking was exceptional.

Property location was excellent and allowed a peaceful break between two very hectic and crowded events. Our family couldn't ask for more and Lance was a perfect host responding very quickly to queries and ensuring our comfort levels were met. Beds were amazing, so comfortable with good linens, fully equipped kitchen with large fridge for cooking up a storm. Living areas provided plenty of space for four adults, a teenager and a tweenager to have time together or chill our in their own space. Great dining table with plenty of room for everyone to sit about for meals, cards, chats etc. View was absolutely outstanding and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset on our first evening. Thanks so much Lance, you provided a peaceful haven which was exactly what was needed.

Exceptional location, with a super view of the beach from above, yet just a three-minute walk to the sands; lots of great walking. A truly homely atmosphere with lots of perks in the cupboard, and a lovely wrap-around deck. Comfortble beds, generous and delightful host. It was a privilege to be able to share his home.

While the shower worked well, the bathroom and toliet facilities are better suited to a group of 4 than 6.

Lovely holiday home by the stunning wild West Coast beach. The house was very clean & tidy and had everything we needed.

The property was well presented with everything we needed for a great stay. Instructions folder really helpful. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and beautiful outlook onto Baylys Beach.

Lovely house with an amazing view of the beach & sea from the living room and balcony. Lots of kitchen gadgets and 3 comfy beds. Lance was very amenable & we were very lucky to enjoy a late check out.

Not much & the view makes up for everything anyway.

Die Lage der Wohnung war einmalig mit direktem Blick auf die Tasman Sea. Die komplette Wohnung hat alles was man für einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt benötigt.

Das Badezimmer ist zwar etwas älter, aber alles sehr sauber. Und zusätzlich ist eine Erneuerung in der Planung.

The view from the lounge was awesome. We sat in the lounge and looked straight down the beach entrance to the sea. Beautiful decor and three double beds or larger. Had dinner out on the deck watching the sun going down.

The driveway was quite steep but nothing our little car couldn't handle. There is one parking space at the top of the driveway.

The views from this delightful home were amazing as was the sunset. It's a short walk to the beach from the back yard and it is well stocked even including home baked goodies. Lance is a very accommodating host and worked with us to meet our timing needs which was above and beyond! His home is very well stocked and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Der Ausblick und die Lage fast direkt am Meer sind unglaublich. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Das Bad ist vielleicht etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Aber trotzdem sauber und es ist alles da was man braucht.

Beautiful home with a view of the beach! Communication with Lance was great and he has a great binder about the place. Appreciated use of the garage and the washer and dryer. Enjoyed his mom’s cookies! Bed was comfortable and bedrooms were very nice. Very cozy and comfortable living room. Close to a beautiful and inexpensive golf course - Northern Wairoa Golf Club.

The bathrooms. No shelf space to put your toiletries, but Lance addresses that in his binder that he is working on updating them. Nice that shower is separate from toilet. Some noise from neighbors if you needed to have windows open for cooling.

We liked everything,so close to beach, was nice to fall asleep to,nice people,comfy beds, everything you need ❤️ will def come back next year around the same time for my next birthday if it's available,oh and thanks to your momma for the delicious biscuits 😊♥️

The water pressure was slow if you ran a bath. No biggy

The location was wonderful. Lance's mother's biscuits were a real treat, the view spectacular, and the general comfort of the home was welcome after driving all day. Lance was very accommodating and quick to reply to any query we had.

Nothing that we didn't like. The bathroom is ready for an upgrade, but it is on the list and clearly stated in the info brochure.

Spectacular views of the beach. A very cosy and welcoming feel to the place, like being at home. Hosts had gone the extra mile to make the visit pleasant for us. Great location with easy access to the beach.

Absolutely everything was perfect. The home baked goodies and log fireplace made this the home of romance novels. I could write a novel and still run out of words explaining the little things we loved about this home. Thank you Lance for the privilege of staying in your home.

Oh the weather could have been a little kinder, but who cared with our log fire and cupboard full of home treats.

What a beautiful home! So clean, comfortable with astounding views. Just a walk to the beach and the peaceful sound of the waves crashing at night. The host Lance was so very accommodating and we even had lovely home made biscuits on arrival! Such a wonderful holiday home. A+++++

Right on the best beach in New Zealand! Very cozy and comfortable home, comfy beds, with ample space to enjoy the beautiful view of the beach. Easy access to the beach - by walking or driving on the beach. Homemade treats awaited our arrival. The area was quiet and peaceful. Lance has done a great job keeping the house super clean and welcoming for all guests and put a lot of thought into our stay and making sure we felt welcome and had all the information.

The location to the beach was amazing. The older kids were able to just run down on the boardwalk etc. Lance was super accommodating for us and even left some baking! (Apologies I think my kids got into them and ate them all lol) The facilities were immense and immaculate and beds and bedding was super comfortable.

There really wasn’t any negative but if I had to give 1 (and this is extremely workable) there was no aircon which again was workable because you’re right on the sea and catch that seabreeze.

Location was amazing being able to see and hear the waves . Short walk for a swim. Lots of room and host was very helpful and obliging when we requested a slightly earlier checkin. An amazing place to stay.

We couldn't find a toaster but that's such a minor thing .

I only leave reviews when suitably impressed and this place didn't disappoint. We wanted to stay somewhere to relax after our journey but somewhere as a base for the area north of Auckland to explore. This place was so beautifully situated, right on a deserted beach apart from horses and occassional vehicles. The sunsets were spectacular. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in with beautiful linen. The large sitting room and open plan kitchen was fantastic for the whole family to fit. Dargarville was a lovely town to visit, great shops and cafes and had everything you needed. The host was the kindest ever, left us so much in the cupboards and also amazing washers and dryers, even left us washing detergent.

Nothing. If you want a place to rest, fantastic views, beach walks and great cafes nearby, this is the place for you.

Amazing location overlooking the beach, very comfy beds, all facilities were available (cooking, cleaning, t.v, wifi etc..) The home baking was an added bonus. Host was a great communicator.

Perfect little house to relax and unwind with family and friends, full kitchen well stocked with spices and cooking oils, vinegars etc to make full meals. Very cozy and decorated nicely, perfect beach views from the dining area and the deck.

The house was very comfortable, and the beds were comfortable. The location was amazing. The hosts had baking for us. The instructions were sent through very fast even though we had booked late last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

House is large and in a terrific location. Lance was very easy to communicate with, generous with what he made available and left detailed instructions to make things easy.

Bathroom does need an update but that appears to be part of the plan going forward. As we only stayed one night didn't have a chance to experience everything on offer.

What a great house overlooking the Baylys Beach! Perfect location, fantastic beach just a short walk down the boardwalk. Spacious house with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Clean and homely. The fireplace was easy to start and it warmed up the whole house very quickly. Very thoughtful for the host to treat us with homemade baking. Lance is very helpful and easy to communicate with. I wish we could stay longer, definitely will look to visit again!
