Kettu Holl Cottage

Posto incantevole. C’è poco da dire.

We were a group of friends celebrating the Juhannus weekend. The host provided all the needed info before arrival. We were pleasantly surprised immediately upon arrival. The cottage is fantastic, and the location is also quite secluded and peaceful. The cabin was super clean and had all the necessary things. Everything worked as it should. There is a nice Sauna inside the cottage and a small but private lake/pond nearby. It was clean and big enough to swim. The outside patio is great to hang out in the evening. The outdoor grill was also nice. Great value for the price. We would definitely recommend it.

It seems a lot of negative reviews are related to a lack of communication with the host. Just ask all your questions before arrival and confirm if you need to bring anything with you. We did just that and brought some extra firewood and grill coal with us.

Mokki experience

To start with the lake is a really small lake. It can be both good (privacy) or bad (no place to go with the boat and difficult to go fishing). The rest of the bad things are mostly the owners fault: only 20 logs of wood for 3 days of sauna (not enough). He has a place where he stores the wood but it's locked and he won't give you the keys There is some food on the house that he offers as free food for you. We found some bugs in that food. So I don't recommend even thinking about it. The owner is not helpfull at all. Whenever you ask something he will answer with some short, bad manners way not helping you. He has some cameras around the building. And personal preference but I would like some privacy feeling and not thinking that he could be watching. The fridge doesn't really work, it doesn't cool the food at all. So I would definitely look for other of these places around because there are amazing places with way better owners that will help you with the real mokki experience!!

Perfect private location with sauna, fishing and private lake. As bonus I was using the boat for free. Collecting of forest mushrooms and cooking them on grill. Self catches smoked fish. Perfect and friendly for pets. I can recommend it for family who liked active rest in fully private resort.

A very cozy house with all the required facilities. It is located very nicely allowing an uninterrupted rest. And in terms of location you can get to the shops and other facilities within 20-30 mins by car.
