Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique

We had a good and confortable stay at this hotel, lot of talks and good advices from the owner and to not forget really good food !

Very nice staff, nice room, restaurant, includes a good aircon and netflix. Wifi was good, clean, fridge.

Bed was hard, cold shower, they put loud music until late at night.

The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate my special requests regarding breakfast. Despite not having a balcony as advertised, the room was big, plenty of towels were provided and the bed was comfortable. It's close to everything, yet far from the noise. Good value for money.

The room "with balcony" doesn't have a balcony. It's a really small space surrounded by walls and with a roof, no air circulating. Common areas are not very well kept and clean.

Lovely, comfortable, clean room in quiet residential part of Taganga. Staff were great. Nice bar area to relax in. Breakfast great. Ate dinner there twice too, very good and great selection. Good value for money.

There was noise from another air con unit keeping us awake on the first night, when we mentioned it to the staff, it was sorted out and it was quiet for the following night.

The location is great. As we arrived we thought: where do we go? The streets are sandy and rocky. The hotel is clean and at a much better level than the outside. Most people are frienly, especially the ladies at breakfast. Were stayed here off season, and were the only customers.

The balcony was not a balkony but looked like a sinkhole. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. At breakfast there was a young man serving us two days. Het was very unfriendly and did not care about customers! The only time in Colombia we did not give a tip!

The staff were warm and helpful, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable, if a little pricey for the basic facilities. The location is convenient as a base for visiting Tayrona National Park. While Taganga itself felt a bit rundown - especially the local beach, which wasn’t ideal for swimming - the property served its purpose well for day trips.

On our first night, a street party set up directly outside the property and ran from around 8  pm until after 10  am the next day, with extremely loud bass that made sleep impossible. The hosts only mentioned it after we’d paid, which felt disappointing. While not necessarily their fault, a heads-up - or even a small gesture like a discount would’ve gone a long way.

personal amable te reciben con cortesía. la entrada al hotel la calle está dañada y no tiene desayuno incluido

very good and excellent price for the service ..all good

Very hard bed. Breakfast limited, because goods had not been bought. Liked the location a bit off the main trouble.

We stayed for 6 days and loved this hotel. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We also liked the area of the hotel, which is not in the noisy center but in a more local authentic neighborhood which we enjoyed very much.

Spacious room, friendly staff.

Mattress is very uncomfortable. They can pay more attention to cleanness, but the entire Colombia struggles with the same issues, obviously different standards than Europe.

The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. Noise levels were not a problem as the hotel was set back from the beach but still easily accessible. The owners were very hospitable.

Awesome experience! The room was comfortable, the bed and pillows were great, air-con and TV worked well. Really nice location, quite residential and feels very safe and secure, yet a quick walk to the beach and amenities. Included breakfast was really good, and the in-house dinner options were delicious. We felt very welcomed and at home while we stayed. Great laundry service as well!

Not much at all really - we have no complaints or issues with our stay!

It was just far enough from the main part of town that it wasn’t overalls noisy (minus neighbours who were partying, but that could happen anywhere). The restaurant was very good quality for a reasonable price and the bed was very comfortable.

If I am being picky- the water pressure for my shower wasn’t great but it did not really bother me- it still did the job.

The staff was accommodating. But unable to assist in any meaningful way about the issues we encountered.

1. The hotel is located on an unreachable street. The street is completely destroyed and unreachable with any vehicle. 2. There is a gang terrorizing the community on this street. They begin playing loud music with speakers outside on the street around 4 am. It is impossible to handle this level of intentional noise. The hotel is unable to do anything and the staff are scared of the people doing this. 3. Unfathamoble why the mosquito netting have huge holes in them. Many mosquitos in the room.

It is a small property just up the road from the beach and plenty of bars/restaurants. Nice comfortable rooms with A/c and tv. Staff are really nice. Breakfast was good as well.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Generally clean, good breakfast included.

Bed was very firm and use of dark sheets was strange. Shower water pressure was very weak. The balcony was just a small covered outside space with no view at all. The pool was not usable, very dirty.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel managers are perfect hosts and take very well care of you. The hotel is situated among the locals which makes it extra interesting. Beach and restaurants is just a walking distance from the hotel. The hotel has a very nice bar/restaurant area and probable has the most extended menu card in Taganga. Food is excellent, I ate there twice. Hotel is operated by an Italian gentlemen and his Colombian wife. Their taste of music is rock so you dont hear Salsa at their place and its all decent in volume. You can make great trips from there to Minca or the Tyrona park.

There arent actually real roads in Taganga. Most are made of rocks and sand. There are no hot water taps in the bathrooms what seems to be normal in Colombia. Like everywhere in Colombia you can hear Salsa music almost through the whole night, bring earplugs with you. Very early in the morning it can be diffelcult to get a taxi from that area.

The staff, the service, the hotel concept, and the truly fascinating food were amazing. I liked it, and I would love to come back.

Extremely helpful owners and staff Perfect oasis of cuteness in a somehow chaotic Taganga Excellent food, by the way

The staff is absolutely wonderful, welcoming and helpful. This alone would recommend me the hotel. Some people might need to get used to the street, but we loved to stay between locals and get in contact with them while going to the more touristic parts of Taganga.

A few ants in our room. But the staff took care of them immediately.

The hosts and owners Stefano and Andrea are such a wonderful dynamic couple, always ready to help guests and make them feel welcomed and cared for. I found a lovely welcome letter in my room with my name on it and a carafe of water with peeled lemons in it. Stefano himself prepared a complex and exotic welcome cocktail courtesy of the house! I booked the very best room in the hostel that easily compares to much more expensive, swanky hotels, only that the beautiful and tasteful art and decor were designed and painted by Andrea herself!!

Everything was wonderful!

Actually we liked everything. Andrea and Stefano are those hosts you expect to meet when you book such a place. Congrats you both !!!!!!

Nothing to declare

Here, you’re away from the noise but not too far, only a 5 minute walk down to the main strip in Taganga. The hotel is charming, with second to none service, I can promise that you will not regret staying here.

This hotel is pretty new, opened 3 months ago. The best hosts we've had in Colombia, took really good care of us. They provide full information about what to visit in the area, the nicest beaches and the best spots. Our room was really big with a flat screen and a/c.The breakfast is superb, restaurant is very good for lunch, dinner or light meals at the bar. Best expresso made of organic coffee. Location is perfect, away from the noise and 5 minutes walking to the center. Thank you Andrea and Stefano

From the moment we stepped into the serene ambiance of Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique in Taganga, Santa Marta, it was clear why this charming retreat boasts top ratings. The hotel exudes a warm and tranquil atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway spot. Estefano, a remarkably attentive host, along with his colleague Andrea, brought their extensive global travel experience to the forefront, ensuring every guest feels valued and pampered. Their philosophy of treating guests as they would like to be treated themselves truly resonates throughout the service they provide. Estefano prepared some of the best drinks at the bar, which became a delightful highlight of our evenings. Andrea, both outstanding and wonderful, stood out not only for her intelligence and attentiveness but also for her warmth and passion for her work. This dynamic duo, blending Italian charm with Colombian hospitality, elevates the guest experience to new heights. The staff, including the lovely and attentive Jennifer, consistently went above and beyond. For instance, knowing we had an early tour departure, they thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast the night before, ensuring we wouldn't miss out on a meal. The hotel didn't just impress with its service but also with its aesthetics. The room decor was magnificent, combining style and comfort effortlessly. The bar area was incredibly cozy, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Moreover, the hotel accommodated special requests with food and provided laundry services, which added convenience to our stay. They also recommended places to visit and helped guide us on prices, which enhanced our local experience. Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique not only lived up to its reputation but surpassed our expectations, making our stay in Taganga unforgettable. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this hotel promises an experience tailored to your desires with a personal touch that is hard to find elsewhere.

The hotel was really nice and clean. Breakfast was good and the restaurant also has good food in the evening. The owners were super nice and helpful. We would definitely go again and recommend this hotel.

Everything is perfect! Room is beautiful and spacious, it has everything you need. Very good breakfast and all the other meals. The staff is very polite and attentive! I booked 3 nights but stayed 5 ☺️ Iguana lives on the tree that you see from room terrace 🦎

Beautiful rooms, good water pressure, lovely friendly staff who were very helpful and a big breakfast! Was great.

Nothing, all good!

Everything! The room, the vibe, the crew, the location and the food

Room is close to the parties at the bar
