Great that we were not limited to times and could get up and chill.
Windows in need of cleaning and there was a lot of insects inside the property and outside the windows. One of the beds was also uncomfortable and creaky.
An amazing find, great accommodation, spar was a bonus and staff were superb. Definitely will be returning soon.
everything
Great location, and good walks for dogs
Had no hot water. Damp bedding.
Location
Nothing
The peace of these cottages is incredible. The facilities are great. The wear and tear on the rooms is irrelevant when you listen to the river outside the window.
Nothing
Receptionist Aime was delightful and helpful. Adam in the bar exceptional. Leisure centre was excellent.
Lodge needs updated. Old receipt under dressing table with heavy cobwebs along skirting board in bedroom. Food item left under couch. Coffee table chipped and badly marked and dining table stained in middle with colour taken out. Headboard in bedroom all flaking. Scuff marks on walls and windows were covered in cobwebs and dirty. Bedroom curtain torn in one part. Drain in bathroom floor not cleaned. Overall did not meet our expectations.
The view is amazing.
No recycling facilities in the Waterhouses; just on bin for everything is so wasteful and nowadays this shouldn’t be a thing.
Lovely location, cozy rooms and good quality kitchen.
Beds where hard and difficult to get comfortable.
Apartment plus the Swimming pool.
No bus up the hill.
The Waterhouses were spacious and comfortable with amazing views of the the River Clyde the reception staff were very helpful and polite the restaurant staff were very accommodating especially Richard he went over and above his duties to make us feel welcome and comfortable the food was excellent.
Everything was fine would like to have check in to our waterhouse earlier than 3 check out time was perfect.
Friendly staff on reception who gave great customer service and nothing was too much trouble.
Beautiful location and friendly staff. The fourth time staying at the water front cottages and will definitely be back next year
Weather lol but not much you guys can do about that
Loved the location, big terrace, comfy beds
No fairy liquid to wash up, no prosecco glasses, could do with painting certain parts of the house which let it down. Weeding needs done on terrace too.
Walking the Clyde Valley
De locatie, het personeel was vriendelijk.
Eerlijk te zijn heeft het huis van binnen een opknapbeurt nodig. In bad zaten scheuren, waardoor het niet echt goed schoon was. De koelkast hetzelfde.
The view from the windows was beautiful. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The apartment was clean and bright and the kitchen well equipped. Beds were great
Would have liked at least a toilet on the same floor as the bedrooms.
Excellent accommodation, very central location for our golfing break.
A beautiful cottage, perfect for us to stay with our two dogs. The heritage site was beautiful to walk around, so many lovely walks at various levels. We will certainly be back, a perfect stopping point to our journey visiting our family on the wirral, from our home in Inverness.
The hotel was lovely and friendly, but itcwas a shame we could not take our dogs in the var at the hotel, but they were welcomed in the lounge area of reception, where we could eat. A couple of higher tables would be good for eating our meal.
Lovely location
Bed not overly comfortable in the second bedroom could feel the springs. The blinds need cleaning of dead spiders and bugs
Lovely property in a quiet, peaceful area. In reality Water Houses are better than on the photos.
At the time we arrived there was a strong smell from fields, luckily it was only for a day.
Lovely apartment. Good play park and soft play for young children to tire them out after an interesting day. The historic centre was very good. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the Annie Macleod experience. We had a great visit.
Stairs down to bedrooms with little children.
Location, spacious cottage. Lovely staff as ever. Just love this place.
An upstairs toilet is a bit annoying - also the swimming changing area needs updated - cold and not condusive to luxury place.
Spacious apartment, dog friendly, stunning location; value for money.
Nothing!
Great people who are happy to meet our needs and make our stay memorable
Nothing
Great accomodation with really comfortable bed. Fantastic buildings, history and river views
While the accomodation is dog friendly, the hotel is not. For some bonkers reason poorly explained, and really bad thinking, dogs can only go in the hotel reception. I accept they should not go in the carpeted restaurant, but there is a bar with a wooden floor with tables for eating bar or restaurant meals. This means eating and drinking at low tables bending over food, and a 30m walk to get a beer each time. I do not get this and it mean eating on an open area uncomfortably rather than at a nnormal table. Places that are not dog friendly for non-reasons diminished the stay in a stunning place.
Location Food Pool
Everything about this property is perfect, its so peaceful with the sound of the river. The swimming pool and facilities were great and we ate at the restaurant on one night which was lovely. All the staff are polite. This was the perfect couple of nights away
The only thing that would have been nice, is a larger sofa in the living room, even though there was only me and my husband there wasn't much room to sit comfortably. And considering this sleeps 5 it would be a struggle to fit anyone else comfortably there. Also there is loads of cupboard space but the cupboards are already filled with items which is great but doesn't leave room to put any food items away, we made it work, but had to move glasses around to make room. Just little recommendations but other than that it was perfect
Location and close to hotel bars and restaurants
Shower over the bath was restrictive to me partner with walking and standing issues
We stayed in Waterhouse 8 this time. We loved it.
Only 1 comment - in the main bedroom there is no mirror near a plug socket for a hairdryer etc. This could be easily remedied by installing a mirror in the corner next to the wardrobe
Fantastic cottage and the area is stunning had an awesome stay 😊😁.And the bed was super comfy and views from the room was amazing sitting at the window watching badgers and herons fantastic.
Location was beautiful. Quiet. Peaceful.
Everything
Nothing apart from the weather
This is the third time, great as ever. The staff no problem, clean outside, the apartment perfect, this year we stayed in no 8,clean inside, rooms big
Got our keys early which was great House was beautiful and spacious Beautiful surroundings Very clean Children loved it, plenty for them to do
Hotel menu was limited Had to go to the town a lot for food
The river beside our window in the waterhouse. Beung able to bring our dog.

ROOMS IN TWO LEVEL
The location was stunningly beautiful with walks along the river and to waterfalls nearby. The self catering cottage was well equipped throughout with quality bedding and towels provided. Use of the hotel pool was included which was great.
We didnt find recycling bins but that may just have been us.

Superb location

The location . The amazing river running past the property, such a soothing sound. The privacy. The size of all the rooms. Very cosy, great heating. Amenities, dishwasher and washing machine. Great TV and choice of channels. Lovely staff. Great value.
No en suite The shower curtain that sticks to you😣 The bath needs replaced. Avoid the swimming pool when kids lessons are on.
The location, amenities and use of hotels spa facilities
The rooms are downstairs. Toilet facilities downstairs would be good as I had older people with me and they struggled during night up abd downstairs
Special experience with living along the river, nice stream flow sound easy the morning feeling
oven might need some maintenance
Location was amazing. Unique and beautiful
It could do with a little upgrading. A few parts looked a bit tired and it could benefit from a few more utensils.
The Waterhouse was very clean & comfortable. It had everything we needed. The view is outstanding.
Everything just wish my stay was longer
We have stayed in the lodges before number, 6 now 1 could not fault surrounding,s
The furniture would be nicer if it was more comfortable
Beautiful place, I have stayed in the hotel before, never the Waterhouses. Bedroom downstairs was huge, everything else upstairs and it was well equipped with everything we needed. The staff were lovely and we had use of the pool area also. Right next to the water which was lovely. Bed was really big.
The living is area is really quite uncomfortable, I wasn't expecting a full size sofa but it is tiny and there was a chair that was really uncomfortable. The shower went cold and I was unable to reach the reception by phone so I had to walk round, which took about 1 minute (but an inconvenience when you are ready to go in the shower!). It was fixed fairly quickly but put our plans back so we were out later than planned. No extra blankets up/downstairs.
Dog friendly and lovely staff. Apartments were well equipped and spacious. Great location and plenty to see and do. Food was scrumptious and spacious was relaxing
All was good. No negativity
Loved the location. Food at the hotel was delicious and staff were extra helpful.
Nothing
Located right beside the hotel for meals, swimming and spa. Spacious. Very warm.
Beautiful location, excellent views overlooking the river Clyde. Waterhouse was of a good size, especially one of the bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen and cleaning products supplied. Lovely walks nearby. Food in the restaurant was very good.
I think if you're allowing dogs in your accommodation then there should be specific non pet rooms.. although it was clean the smell of dog was overwhelming
Amazing scenery, the place was amazingly peaceful
We liked everything
Stunning location, spacious, clean, comfortable well equipped.
Tiny couch!
The location was unbeatable. The river was just outside of your window. The cottage was comfortable and had everything you needed.
The only issue is the stairs down to the bedrooms of you have any mobility issues. But it is not a huge issue.
Great location and lovely helpful staff
