Cranberry Moon Inn

staff were very friendly and super helpful in suggestions for activities to do in area…They suggested Port carling Museum which we enjoyed and the muskoka farm and winery…Took their wagon tour of cranberry marsh ..We also enjoyed their property and view of the water..Very peaceful.The king bed was very comfortable Fall colours in the area was gorgeous..

Charming Inn in the heart of Bala. Located a block from the busy Main Street. Owners couldn’t of been more welcoming and friendly! We enjoyed fresh baked home made pumpkin tarts ….. very good! This Inn will be the reason I go back to Bala!

Hosts were attentive, morning continental breakfast was good and lake views were outstanding!

The owner Kim and Doug have been extremely natural nice and helpful. They renovated their Bed and Breakfast to a super modern accommodation without compromising the feel of staying in a century home. When I say super modern, I refer to the bathrooms and the electrical. The choice of furniture and decor is very inviting and tastefully placed. Kim and Doug are still big time renovating and one of their next projects is the kitchen and I'm sure when done, will just look as beautiful as the rest of the place and replace the continental breakfast with a traditional breakfast. We'll be going back to stay there again and recommend this place highly.

This is a wonderful B&B within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and an extra-large luxury shower. Kim and Doug were awesome hosts, friendly and helpful. Free use of the kayaks and paddleboards was a nice extra. Breakfast is continental style with bottomless coffee and we enjoyed it on the large front porch-what a great way to start our day!

Kim and Doug are excellent hosts and they made us feel very homely. It’s right opposite moon river and we had a lovely stay there.

We stayed with Kim and Doug for a weekend, they are amazing people , this place is absolutely amazing a true Gem , we were amazed by all the hard work they have put into their home.It is steps from the water , food ,LCBO the Kee to bala . There is a beach 10 min walk away altho the swimming at the dock was awesome as well ...we will be 100 percent be staying here again and highly recommend it .

This is a wonderful B&B, one of the best we have stayed in. The hosts were very helpful, and very welcoming. I would highly recommend this B&B. You will not be disappointed. The hosts go out of their way to assist in every detail and they were so nice and welcoming. We had a great experience and would return again for sure. The room was superb and very well appointed. Hesitant to share! Kim and Doug are the best hosts ever. Beautiful property, close to everything. Lovely breakfast. Lots of games in the living room. We used the SUPS which was so relaxing. Really everything was perfect. We will return!

The BEST experience at a bed and breakfast! I initially booked this as just a place to sleep as I was surprising my partner with a concert at the Kee To Bala (incredible venue). Boy, was I impressed by this place. Doug & Kim are wonderful hosts. They are so friendly and welcoming! The property itself is beautifully renovated inside and the outdoor amenities can keep you busy all day. The easy access to the lake right in front of the house was so convenient, too. My partner and I started making plans to come back after our first night there! 2 nights is not enough! Thank you Kim & Doug!

Just stayed the weekend for a couple shows at Kee, and it was a perfect spot! Short walk to Kee to Bala, boat launch and dock across the street with free SUP and kayaks included. A hot tub and large shared deck for relaxing. Well-appointed suites in very clean and modern condition. Free continental breakfast, and above all else, great service from the friendly inn owners. We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Cranberry Moon Inn B & B. The house and rooms were very clean and neat, Doug and Sue were great hosts as well. Their house is conveniently located to Bala and a 10 minute walk to the 'Key to Bala'.

Enjoyed morning coffee from the front porch with beautiful view of Moon River. A sparkling clean room with comfy bed and a short stroll to town—it was a perfect stay in Bala!! Thank you Kim and Doug for your fabulous hospitality! 10/10 stay!

Our stay at The Cranberry Moon Inn was fantastic. This B&B was convenient located in Bala, which allowed for us to enjoy a variety of winter activities in the area. The B&B was beautifully finished. You really can see the thought that was put into how it was planned and decorated. The owners, Kim and Doug, were excellent hosts. They really catered to our every need.

We had a wonderful stay in a comfortable and spacious room with a spotless and large en suite bathroom. The area is very beautiful, water is just across the street. Had a nice dip in the hot tub which was a great amenity.

Amazing place, hosts were truly amazing

The best compliment t that I can pay is that Doug and Kim made it feel like I was staying with friends. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to make things available that would make my stay enjoyable. The rooms are stunning as is the view. I visited the local winery, did a cranberry plunge, went kayaking on the moon river right in front of the inn - they supplied the kayak at no cost. The town is delightful and steps away from the In. So you can take a walk and enjoy the lake, the river, the falls, a few cute boutiques and a couple of restaurants. If you go during the Cranberry Festival (I didn’t) the population of roughly 800 swells to over 20,000 for the weekend with music, food and shopping vendors and lots more walkable from the Inn. I would definitely go again.

We had a great experience except for one thing. They didn't make up our beds, leave fresh towels or empty the garbage while we were out for the day. Otherwise fabulous. Kim and Doug were wonderful hosts!

Great location and very friendly hosts. You can walk to the town and restaurants and also use boards and kayaks on Moon river. Very clean , renovated , looking to return in the future.

I attended a wedding over the weekend in Bala and stayed at CranberryMoon. The rooms were recently renovated and the owners have put a great deal of care into the work and beautiful finishing touches. The hosts are very attentive and cared that everyone had a great stay.

Our room was five star including an amazing shower, heated floor and towel warmer. Great character throughout the property. Good swimming and a hot tub. Doug and Kim, our hosts, were excellent.

Had a wonderful stay at the Cranberry Moon Inn B&B. Kim and her husband where very nice and welcoming. the room was nice and clean. was very happy to see that each room had its own washroom. My next stay to Bala will definitely be at this b&b.

Kim and Doug go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable, you are enjoying your stay. Yes the house is under renovations, but still do pretty now! When they are done it will be gorgeous. They provide nice SUP boards for your enjoyment and the lake is literally 50 steps across the road. We will be back.

We loved the place, and staying here was the best decision of our weekend. Walking distance to everything, hot tub after the concert. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for. We would highly recommend staying!!

This place is a brand new gem. Beautiful, spotless room, most comfortable enormous bed, one of the best showers I’ve ever experienced. Kim and Doug are the charming hosts. We had a delightful chat with them over a great breakfast on their lovely patio with a view of the river. Bala is a short walk, including the amazing Kee to Bala venue, where we were watching the phenomenal Tiny Horse open for the glorious Glorious Sons. A trip to remember for all the right reasons.

Really great experience. Rooms were very clean and the house that they are just finishing renovating is beautiful. I believe this was their second weekend open and they were doing everything to understand how to improve the experience, however I think they have nailed it already. Very friendly and lots of local knowledge. Walking distance to downtown Bala and The Kee. We didn't use the kayaks or paddle boards but they are a 30 second walk to a dock and boat launch. Thanks for a great experience and good luck as you build your business.

We had a fantastic stay on August 4th for one night. Doug and Kim were great hosts. Greeting us upon arrival and having our room ready. Great location, loved the water access right across the street and paddle boards for use. Breakfast was delicious the following morning. Comfortable bed and great ac unit in our room! We will return!
