The Cupán

Nos ha encantado nuestra estancia. El alojamiento está a unos 8 minutos caminando del lago y ha sido muy fácil de encontrar. El vecindario es muy tranquilo y agradable, con algunas cafeterías y un pub muy recomendable cerca. Justo enfrente hay un parque perfecto para salir a pasear, especialmente si viajas con niños. Nosotros éramos 4 adultos y un bebé y el alojamiento nos resultó bastante amplio y cómodo. Los baños estaban muy limpios y la cocina estaba completamente equipada, con todos los utensilios necesarios e incluso condimentos para cocinar. También dispone de lavadora y detergente, lo que resulta muy práctico cuando viajas en familia. El salón es muy amplio y el ambiente es muy acogedor y cozy, ideal para relajarse después de un día fuera. En general, hemos estado muy a gusto y lo recomendamos totalmente, especialmente para familias con niños.

La ubicación, la casa está en un pueblo con un entorno precioso. Unas vistas magníficas.

La limpieza. Cuando visitas un país necesitas solo que sea cómodo y limpio, nos encontramos el suelo sucio y telarañas en las puertas de entrada a la casa. La cerradura de entrada estaba estropeada y no pudimos cerrar la casa las 2 noches que estuvimos. En fin, que nos tocó limpiar para estar tranquilos con los niños.

Great location, comfortable

Mountshannon is a beautiful little village exactly where I was wanting to explore. The Cupan was perfect with a sitting room to curl up and read a book, and a comfortable bed. The owners were flexible with timings which helped when I was running late for check in.

How quiet and peaceful it is with beautiful vied from living room patio area ! The lay out also is so nice I was very impressed

The uniqueness of the property is really charming. It was clean, warm and comfortable. Great location, and convenient for touring the Eastern side of Lough Derg. Paul & Audrey were very welcoming and flexible.

In centre of Mountshannon. Few bars and a cafe close by, and 2 minutes walk down to a pier for a swim in Lough Derg. Apartment was nice and spacious and Paul and Audrey were quick to respond to any queries. Highly recommended!

Gute Lage direkt gegenüber einem kleinen Park - ideal für den morgendlich und abendlichen Spaziergang mit dem Hund, gemütliches Wohnzimmer.

Instabile Internet-Anbindung, abgenutzte Matratzen, kein Fenster im 2. Schlafzimmer, für die nur durchschnittliche Ausstattung (kein Geschirrspüler) recht hoher Preis (ca. 150,-€/Nacht), zusätzlich mussten wir für den Hund je Nacht 10,- € zahlen. Eine Einmalgebühr hätte es auch getan. Im Ort gab es zwei Pubs und ein kleines Restaurant. Hunde durften dort jedoch nicht mitgebracht werden.

Exceptionally spacious, quiet and cosy, with a well furnished lounge, dining room and modern kitchen. Everything worked really well for us.

It was very central for what we needed.Not losing the power during the storm was an added bonus.

We enjoyed our stay at The Cupán, Mountshannon is a perfect base if you want to explore the Lough Derg area, from the gorgeous Killaloe to the south, to the historic Portumna Castle as you drive north, you could drive around Lough Derg visiting many small towns or hiking the Graves of the Leinstermen area or take a cruise on lough Derg itself, the house is extremely cozy and well stocked, I'd highly recommend a stay if you are thinking of exploring this beautiful location of County Clare.

Weather, well, it is Ireland after all, nothing you can do about the weather but even though there was a storm, the house was warm and cozy

The second bathroom had not been cleaned very well. There was a smell of damp and the external part of the property (patio) would have benefited from a good tidy up.

Having a washing machine was really helpful and it was located in an excellent position in a quiet, small village.

Nice quiet location. Accommodation was very spacious, clean and the facilities were great. Owners were very helpful and always available in case of any problems. Would highly recommend

The connection for the TV could be better for those that are not up to date with technology.

Such a lovely place for a weekend stay! The location is great en the apartment is spacious, clean and had everything we needed. It was a busy, flying visit this time but we'll definitely be back again!
