The BaaHouse Suite

Our hostess was available at all times and welcomed us as we arrived to show us our room & answer any questions. She provided us with suggestions on sites to visit while in Donegal as well as dining options.

The television did not have any options for local channels or news which we would have only used in the mornings or late evenings. Bathroom was a bit tight in space.

Our stay at Alison’s BaaHouse Suite was truly something very special. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and at home. Alison has designed the suite with so much warmth, personality, and attention to detail. The space is modern, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully curated, making it feel both luxurious and incredibly comfortable. Everything was spotless, impeccably clean, and maintained to the highest standard of hygiene. Communication throughout our stay was excellent. Alison always responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. She made a genuine effort to get to know us personally and provided wonderful recommendations and travel tips, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The location is simply outstanding. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. There is even a telescope/binoculars available so guests can fully appreciate the stunning scenery and wildlife around them. It is clear that every detail has been carefully considered. From the delicious selection of teas and thoughtful snacks to the many small touches throughout the suite, everything was prepared with great care and love. We would return without hesitation. Staying here felt like finding a home away from home while traveling. Thank you, Alison, for creating such a memorable and special experience.

I liked everything about it.....its a beautiful little peaceful haven hidden away from everything set on a fabulous elevated country setting with fabulous scenery & i could clearly hear the sheep "talking" which was so cute! I loved the decor & cosiness of my chalet. Alison has beautiful taste & was a fabulous hostess.....anything I needed was not a problem & Alison even met me at the main road to bring me to the location incase I got lost! She had everything in the way of supplies & snacks that anyone could need & parking right outside the door. It was perfect. I had a wonderful stay & would recommend it to anyone visiting Donegal Town & surrounding areas.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The BaaHouse suite is in a beautiful quiet location. The host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. From a chocolate or a sweet to fresh milk and cereals. This is one of the best places we have stayed. The shower was great and the cosy blankets to sit outside were wonderful. Peace and quiet I got ten hours of sleep.

Really cosy and comfortable little place to stay which was perfectly located for a wedding at the Loch Eske castle. Alison very personable and helpful with recommendations. She also kept our snack and beer supplies well stocked which appealed to our greedy nature! Everything you could possibly need was there- even a spare razor for my boyfriend who forgot his! Peaceful surroundings where I was thrilled to hear a cuckoo each morning! I was also grateful for some decent blinds which kept the light out, as well as a very comfortable bed. Would love to stay again, thank you for having us .

The Baahouse felt like a luxury retreat. We were greeted warmly by Alison and she showed us the suite. It was well provisioned, extremely clean and very comfortable. The views were gorgeous and it was very peaceful. It felt spacious and very private, we appreciated the private entrance and outside seating. We had a fantastic sleep in the comfy bed and enjoyed good coffee in the morning. Would have loved to stay longer!

I had a fantastic stay at the Baahouse. The host is very friendly and welcoming. The location is exceptional. Very close to town donegal but nestled in the beautiful nearby mountains. I highly recommend this stay, it exceeded my expactions

Wow! what a peaceful spot (even if it is on top of a mountain 😂). I did get a bit lost on the way, but Alison was so helpful and guided me no problem. She is such a kind and welcoming host. There were lovely touches like complimentary snacks, fresh milk and water, plus tea, coffee, and toiletries - everything you could need. The bed was super comfy and the duvet was honestly a dream! I didn’t get the chance to use the TV, record player, or games provided as I was there for work and out most of the day, but it just gives me an excuse to come back. The WiFi was great, and it was my first time seeing sheep just roaming around…they kept to themselves and weren’t any bother at all. Alison couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. Thank you so much, I’d definitely stay again! (I now know why it’s called Baa suite 🐏)

Honestly, nothing at all I had a great stay. The location was very convenient for me and close to Donegal Town. It is a bit of a trek up some steep hills, but it’s absolutely worth it for the peace and views!

Everything about this property was amazing - the host was great - drove us to the near by hotel which we were so grateful for. Style and added extras really make this property. We will definitely return in the near future.

This was a stunning location up on a hill with a beautiful view. There were plenty of treat available for our stay. Watching the sheep run around nearby was a bonus.

Lovely host. The place was gorgeous, could have spent a few days just enjoying the space and the views, only downside (and it was my mistake) was it was a little far out - would absolutely go back though, just not plan to be in the town so much

Even with the not so great weather the views were fantastic! Alison also had such nice treats for us, and some fun games to play! It's the perfect spot for couples and will provide a very comfortable stay.

Absolutely stunning views from the doorstep. Easy to find with the hosts directions. Very tastefully decorated and comfortable with great touches like the record player and a handful of class vinyl. Wee snacks and breakfast bits alongside the usual coffee. Can't wait to get back

The location was amazing and the accommodation was very homely. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The house was well stocked with snacks and amenities, which we thought was a nice touch.

I had such a lovely stay here. Alison was the perfect host and she was so friendly and helpful. The view from the accommodation was incredible and the room was cosy with a comfortable bed. Alison had left lots of snacks, board games and books in the room aswell. I can't recommend this place enough!

It’s a little off the beaten path, outside of the town of Donegal. However, there is a great pub with a two minute drive from the location.

Anything you can think of is most likely available inside! It has a warm feeling and fills you with a sense of anticipation for your next adventure. A real 'home from home', kind of vibe! Alison is also one of the most accommodating and friendly hosts that you might find. Treat yourself to a stay at the BaaHouse!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at BaaHouse Suite for three nights, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The location is simply stunning, offering beautiful views and a serene atmosphere that made our stay incredibly relaxing. From the moment we arrived, Alison made us feel right at home. She greeted us warmly and provided an array of thoughtful extras that truly enhanced our stay. The suite itself was excellent—spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Alison had also thoughtfully stocked the suite with a variety of complimentary items, including fresh fruit, milk, beers, and biscuits. These little touches made us feel very well taken care of. The bathroom was equally impressive, equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Overall, BaaHouse Suite is a gem, and Alison’s hospitality truly made our visit special. Alison was such a kind and friendly host. She gave us loads of recommendations for places to go to. The room itself was gorgeously decorated, with loads of complimentary fruit/tea/coffee and bathroom products. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed listening to the records with the record player in the room. The stay was so comfortable and peaceful with the room being completely private with own entrance. Location is on top of a beautiful mountain and very close to Donegal town. Couldn’t have asked for anything else from our stay. Would 100% recommend!

Our host was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. She even gave us a lift to the wedding venue and provided the contact for a reliable local cab company for our return. Mentioning her name ensured prompt service with no questions asked. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable Donegal break in a peaceful and idyllic setting then look no further. The suite is decorated impeccably, oozing class and style. After a day of hiking and sightseeing it was the perfect location to relax, watch a movie, listen to some records. Alison is a lovely host who ensured everything was thought of to ensure our stay felt like a home from home. When we return to Donegal I would have no hesitaion in booking The Baahouse Suite again.

Everything. The place, the room, the view, the hot shower, and the douvets that were so soft. I felt spoiled by having complementary grapes and strawberries. Also many options for tea and coffee in the room. Donegal is beautiful. I will definitely have to come back again, there are so many places to visit and trials for walks. Also, there is an amazing massage place in Donegal Town called Chada Thai Massage. I recommend it if you are tired after hiking around . Many thanks to Alison, who was an amazing host, so kind and helpful!
