Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The location was fantastic It was nice and quiet just what we needed. While Whakatā was at the top of our nightly budget we were verry pleased with what we got. The most comfortable bed I have slept in for a long time. Whakatā had everything you could ask for. Such as a nice spa pool, BBQ, backyard fireplace. Whakatā is well thought out, and well-run place by experienced hosts. Even down to a proficiently put together information booklet, covering everything about the property and its facilities, along with things to do and places to see while in the area. Our host, Rachae was an amazing host. I highly recommend this property for multi night stays to enjoy the property and everything that the area has to offer.
No stick to toast the marshmallows, you know for the kids, or maybe for Evan.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026Very new house in suburban Westport - very nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Great kitchen. Light and airy. Very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped laundry. 2 loo's. Great place for 2 couples or a family (3 bedrooms).
Not a biggie but is not near the beach and is a few minutes drive to town (preferable to have a car)

Reviewed Dec 6, 2025Es war eine unserer besten Unterkünfte in Neuseeland. Das Haus ist groß, sauber und modern ausgestattet. Besonders mit unseren Kindern hat es uns super gefallen. Es gab einen Hochstuhl und ein Babybett. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen! Auch der Kontakt war toll. Wir haben dort etwas vergessen und es wurde uns netterweise nachgeschickt. Vielen Dank!

The fresh milk and cold water in the fridge were greatly appreciated. Having 2 toilets was brilliant with a family of four.

Shower was a bit temperamental when someone was using water in kitchen and blinds are quite sheer and I prefer block out for a dark room but most people wouldn't mind.

The house was modern, clean and had more appliances/essentials that we expected (including equipment to house a toddler comfortably I.e, cot/blankets, high chair and messy mats) It was a super quiet location and perfect for us to wind down in between activities and social visits in Westport. Would definitely stay again!

Reviewed Dec 17, 2024Communication with our host was top notch. The property is locates in a quiet part of town. Parking our car in front of the main entrance made it easy to load and off load. The house is extremely comfortable, clean, modern, warm and beautifully decorated. Beds are comfortable and the shower is hmmmm
We liked everything but we didn't cook or used much, just slept over. We had dinner in town, on a Monday night you don't have many options. It was still a great stopover.
