Food was amazing, views were incredible, a must stop if you are in Patagonia! Take the horse rides, you will not be disappointed.

Some repairs could be done in the bathroom for a safer shower experience, very slippery and the safety bar was broken.

i love it. super beautiful

The staff was not so nice with us, we had an activity planned early in the morning and we passed by the breakfast area to grab somenthing but the girl in the kitchen refuses to give us a yogurt as we were 20 minutes earlier than the usual opening of the breakfast.

The location next to the lake at the mouth of the river is breath taking.

The road to it is long and bumpy but to be expected for a place off the beaten path.

Very special property overlooking the lake and river.

Main lobby was gorgeous! Grounds and views were spectacular. Horseback riding trip was just right, very slow and scenic as we have zero experience. Star gazing was an added bonus and unexpected. Breakfast was delicious, they made us eggs to order. Dinner was good and accommodated my daughters' food restrictions. All staff were super attentive.

Steak was a little tough.

The location was spectacular with amazing views, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff so friendly and helpful, and the horse riding experience was well organised and so memorable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Nothing!

You feel like you are at the end of the world.

Unique location on the water

Beautiful place by the lake. Gorgeous views. The staff is amazing: friendly and attentive (making you feel special). But still feels like home. Amazing attention to details. Delicious food. Very comfortable immaculate rooms (with tea/coffee, I love that). Softest sheets on the bed. Big windows with those gorgeous views. Lovely horse ride for just me and my daughter. Very special stay.

Wished we had stayed longer ;)

The room is very beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast is good, diner was good when there was a buffet.

Amazing location, hidden away from the main road. Beautiful setting, room was spacious and the view was stunning! Horse riding experience was great and the home made empanadas and steak sandwiches on the open fireplace halfway really made the experience special!!

The place was charming with upscale amenities and delicious food. The horseback riding along the lake with a delicious gourmet lunch was I big on the cake! What started as a stopover became a destination.

I have no complaints.

Location and the service.

Perfect place to discover El Chalten und El Calafate. Extremely friendly stuff. Good food.

All perfect!

Colazione molto varia e ben assortita. Gita a cavallo incredibile. Personale giovane e molto gentile.

Amazing magical place - perfect to unwind and relax in the quiet Great and very helpful staff, beautiful common room, amazing food Unbelievable views Definitely one of our highlights in Patagonia

Everything!! The location and views are so beautiful and could be seen from our room, which felt very special. Big room with an area to sit and relax. Everything was super clean and tastefully decorated. Staff are all so friendly and helpful! Nicole in particular was always on hand to help, and we enjoyed meeting Carlos in the evenings at the bar. Breakfast was a good selection of items, and meals at the restaurant were great too. We also did the horseriding and lunch experience which was something completely new for us - highly recommend!

We stayed at this accommodation on our way from El Calafate to El Chalten. It was the best decision, because: the place stays on a beautiful lake Viedma, next to the La Leone river, so the views are fantastic here. If you are lucky and the weather is clear, you will see Fitz Roy and Torres mountains across the lake! The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. There was a feeling, like you were staying at somebody’s rancho - there are a lot of nice and stylish details, there is a fireplace in the lobby, where is nice and cozy to observe all the beauties of the location! The breakfast was nice, the houses have 4 rooms each. Standard room is not that big, but you have more things to do in a leaving room of the house: tv, books, fireplace, kettle and everything for the tea/coffee.

Awesome location. Great staff. Accommodated our late arrival and served us dinner. Wish we could have longer than a night.

Location and comfort of the room are great

I felt in a tourist trap. All the prices were in US dollars, but they had no change in dollars. They offered change in Pesos Argentinos for an outrageous exchange (1000 peso for 1 dollar, but the regular exchange is 1450 pesos for 1 dollar), they did not give any receipt, the employees were under staff and stressed. To top off I scheduled horseback riding but they had no horses available and had to reschedule for later. They also said that there was not required horseback experience and said that the horses were very calm and would not run. But, in reality, as my wife mounted on the horse it started running and she got scared. She was offered do dismounted what she did, but they did not want to refund the money or aloud me to speak with the manager. I had to insist until I received may money back. It was very stressful and ruined my day.

We stayed here after hiking in El Chalten. It was a good place to relax before heading down to Torres del Paine. I would suggest 1 or 2 nights. A highlight was the horse ride, with lunch cooked over the fire at a shelter near the lake. The rooms are comfortable and there is a main lounge area with a beautiful view. There are books, board games, a pool table and a bar. The restaurant serves good dinners and breakfast was included. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Unique place where you would like to stay longer

A 25% surcharge has been applied as I paid by crédit card. This is the only place where it happened and made that stay quite expensive

Amazing lake views from the restaurant and from your room. Great food and wine. The long horseriding + lunch experience was amazing. Staff was very kind and helpfull

Tutto.

Andare via

It is located in a beautiful setting on Lake Viedma. It is exactly as you see on the photos - a hidden getaway surrounded by nature. Unfortunately we only stayed one night and didn’t make the most of the activities that they also have an offer. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and made us feel very special! We had a late check in and they were sooo accommodating. They even left a few empanadas in the kitchen for us because we arrived so late that we missed dinner. Very very thoughtful! It has that lovely personal touch that you just don’t get in the generic big hotels! Would 100 percent recommend and one day when we come back to Patagonia, I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing views over Lake Viedma. Pleasantly furnished. Good food. Friendly staff. Nice walks around the estancia.

Beautiful location, delicious food, friendly staff.

habitaciones chulisimas, vistas inmejorables, entorno precioso y personal super atento

It’s a beautiful property next to the lake with amazing views, super friendly staff. We loved our stay here.

Location and staff

Don’t go during the windy season! Horse tack equipment was old and falling apart

Amazing views

When we stayed there were issues with the heating and we found the dining room very cold! Staff did what they could but it made eating less relaxing than it should have been!

Great place in a remote location. Lovely, big room with a comfy bed and bath. The bar was nice and cosy and the meal at the restaurant was one of the best we had in Argentina. We loved the horse riding and the lunch prepared out in the open - amazing experience. Staff was exceptional too.

We loved our time at Estancia La Estela. We stayed for 2 nights and it was the perfect place to relax after several days of hiking. Friendly and attentive staff, the food was excellent and we really enjoyed the horseback riding tour with lunch (best empanadas of our 3 week trip!). Highly recommend!

Beautifully located around lago Viedma. From our room we had amazing view to Fitz Roy. Super clean, nice, warm and cozy room. Teastfully decorated. The restaurant and the bar of the estancia are fantastic too. And Samuel is a great host. We had fantastic time in this place at the end of the world.

Amazing staff the horse riding lunch was superb

The property is in a beautiful remote location with vast views all around. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. I was very impressed with the dinners and our horseback ride lunch. The common areas have games, views and a bar with a large fireplace for gathering. I have to mention the dark skies. No light pollution to spoil them.

Leaving.

The accommodation is beautiful, comfortable beds and the view is great. Staff are friendly.

There appeared to be an element of disorganisation. When we arrived we had to go to another location called La Leona, which is across the road, there we have to announce our arrival and wait to be told we can go up. They offered us a coffee whilst we waited, which was nice. When we arrived, a friendly staff member explained everything which was useful. Unfortunately, we had not hot water for an hour, therefore could not have a shower on our arrival, we had travelled all day and wanted to have a shower and something to eat. We then realised we only had 1 towel between 2 of us. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was not good, it came out cold, not very flavourful and the fish I ordered was full of bones, which made it unpleasant to eat. The next morning, we made a coffee in the room and could not drink it, not sure if it was the water, but it tasted like plastic. Personally, this place is more style over substance.

The perfect place to stay loved every minute. The location is incredible. Horse riding a must. Thank you

Nothing

Beautiful location with stunning views. Accommodation comfortable and characterful.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, overlooking the water. When its clear you can see all the way to Fitz Roy. The room too was stunning, the huge window made the most of the view. Food in the restaurant was excellent too for breakfast and dinner. They kindly made us a packed breakfast one morning so we could leave early to do the Fitz Roy hike. The bar area is really nicely decorated and you can play pool!

We enjoyed the horse riding but it was a bit expensive for what it was.

As soon as we got there, we were treated like royalty. Everyone so friendly, so professional. Nicole is just a sweetheart. The room was very nice. You see the mountains and the lake from the picture window. Only breakfast I had during my trip that had eggs and bacon. Steak dinner was very good. Went horse back riding. Not a bad price at all. The young gaucho,, Gonzalo was very nice like all Argentinians. Stopped for a snack and Gonzalo made a fire and we had this dough product that was like deep fried. Cant remember the name of them. They were tasty.. He told us alot about his country. Went through the sand dunes to the lake. Pretty cool.

There was really nothing that I didnt like. Or maybe just trying to keep the building straight. Is this the restaurant or is this the bar.
