Well located, very clean and has everything we needed.

Only small thing was there is no blind for the skylight if you want to sleep past dawn.

Location great, area vibe so nice - homey venue - warm and comfy bed. Sunny - magic.

All good - would be better without stairs but that’s nitpicking

Was a little scary putting car into the narrow garage glad to have someone on the left keeping an eye on that side for me. With mirrors in fitted ok. If you concerned apparently free parking over the other side of the road

The comfy beds, two bathrooms, and outdoor area upstairs, location was close to town. Very tidy. Great with prompt replies about the property too. Helped out when my colleague left their scarf too, thanks so much.

The stairs were more steep than we thought. The bag wheels could not fit on the stair part where your foot goes to get it up and down. Small bag ok the larger bag wasn't. We had trouble putting the keys back in the lock box the blu tak was not working anymore and the keys kept falling off and we couldn't shut the box until about the 4th try.

Location was brilliant. Clean, fresh. Amazing linen. Absolutely delivered what it said it would. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, dining area with table and chairs. Lounge, outside balcony. Two bathrooms. Good heating. I would stay there again any day and fully recommend it.

Central location, large apartment with balcony. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and lounge room. Having a garage was a great help as street parking difficult.

There were stairs up to the apartment which would be difficult for some. However being higher did afford better outlook.

Immaculately clean and well appointed apartment in a charming little street, very conveniently located for the bars and restaurants in Nelson. We enjoyed the sitting area on the large balcony. Quiet location, very comfortable beds.

The TV is internet only and quite small if that’s important. There are stairs to the upper bedroom.

Excellent location - awesome apartment - great covered balcony to sit outside with a wine/coffee. Close to town. Instructions were easy and Amanda was very responsive with replies. Definitely stay again.

This a beautiful apartment thoughtfully decorated and laid out. Sipping wine pre dinner on the balcony whilst appreciating the historical architecture of South Street was relaxing indeed . The host was exceptionally responsive to queries and did her utmost to make sure we were comfortable . Thank you so much . We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve in Nelson .

Location was extremely convenient, decor was great, secure parking good, very comfortable. Only stopped 2 nights, didn't get to fully utilise everything on offer.

I can highly recommend City Appartment South Street with a seamless experience from start to finish. Everything was superb from the booking, dealing with Amanda to the location and warm, cosy, and clean accommodation. We were down visiting an Aunty who was in ICU at Nelson hospital, and this accommodation was like a wee haven to come and go from with my mother commenting several times that she could live here. Thank you 🙏

The apartment is extremely well appointed and very clear instructions were provided for access. Particularly welcome was the bonus of a garage for the car, very nice in the winter. The beds were super comfy and everything was emaculate. Would thoroughly recommend. Just to be aware there is quite a steep flight of stairs up to the apartment which may be difficult for anyone who is not physically able albeit my 88 year old mother managed and there is a very good hand rail provided. The second bedroom/bed and bathroom is also up stairs in the apartment.

Super location and wonderfully clean, all carpets were freshly vacuumed. Loved the fresh milk in the fridge.

We would have loved to have had a teapot. Kitchen was missing a few essential staples, such as cooking salt, olive oil, vinegar.

As you unable to access before 3.00pm (late afternoon) it would have been nice to have entered a warm environment. No heating was put on. Also did not expect it to be two storey - lugging luggage up when your in your late sixties is not easy!!!

This property was very well equipped and very clean. We were pleased that there was soap and shampoo, and supplies to use the washer and dishwasher. It was walking distance to downtown and on a beautiful historic street. It was the nicest place I have stayed in for a very long time. I don't often give EXCELLENT reviews, but this place was. Thanks to Amanda, our host, whom I never met. There was even a garage for the car and a balcony to enjoy the street scenes while having morning coffee.

Walking up the steps with our suitcases was tricky. I'm not sure the description mentioned that. That was the only downside.

Noisy party on southern property hard to block out

Nice centrally located property. We booked Friday and Monday as we had a trip into the national park. The host was really helpful in storing our luggage for us. The place was spotless comfortable and well equipped, check in was easy.

not many windows can be opened, water pressure in showers quite low.

Stay somewhere different in a lovely well equiped spacious apartment in the historical district of Nelson,, an easy walk to the vibrant town center via the Cathedral steps. Very clear access instructions were provided by the host. Recommended.

Character of home n location n balcony was so cool very comfortable spacious light filled.

Location was good, close / walkable to town, restaurants, galleries and gardens. Washed/dried was much appreciated. The lockable secure garage parking was great.

There was a lot more stairs than was disclosed on the booking information. To be able to use the spacious main bedroom with ensuite entailed a second flight of stairs, which was something we choose not to do - we therefore had to use a much smaller room bed/bathroom. The dining table was difficult to use as it was tucked in under the stairs. The outdoor seating and dining, although inviting, was unusable due to lots of midgies/sandflies. The apartment smelt strongly of chemical/new carpet, exacerbated by a room scent diffuser, necessitated opening all windows and doors to try and remove the smell ( this guest needed to use asthma inhaler significantly more frequently). Unfortunately, and probably not under the hosts control, the person residing in the apartment next door seemed to be very busy up and down the shared stairwell between the hours of 7-11:30pm, continually letting doors slam. Sadly, as lovely as the apartment first appeared, we were uncomfortable and choose to leave half way through our booked stay.

Fantastic property - much bigger than similar (type & priced) properties we've stayed at in NZ. Location was fantastic, it was all well furnished, and we were very comfortable. Would have loved to stay longer.

The appartment was really nice, with a really amazing feel to it. Walking in, you feel relaxed and at ease, really lovely.

The smell of the new carpet in combination with a air freshener was a bit too much.

Apartment was pretty good and located in the city, walking distance to supermarket and main streets.

Everything needed is prepared for guests. Hosts are thoughtful. The apartment is also very clean and comfortable. Use of many fine timbers (such as New Zealand Rimu) in decorating the spaces.

Super location, within easy walking distance of the main shopping area of Nelson. Close to numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. The huge upper story verandah with outdoor table was amazing. Bought supplies from the weekend market and had a wonderful lunch watching the world pass by. This heritage building has all the comfy modcons and the area is heritage precinct is nice and quiet yet close to all the action. The bed was so comfortable, shower powerful and kitchen well equipt. There is even a secure garage where you can leave your car, plus free parking on the street outside. Communication was easy and our stay was excellent and good value. Will book again in a heartbeat on our next trip to Nelson.

The host was really attentive. The microwave was broken. Within a few hours a brand new was at the door. Location is so central. the place is so clean and cosy.
