Niken Beachfront Tulum Hotel

Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand. Unser Zimmer war sehr sehr schön mit eigener Terrasse zum Sonnen und einen kleinen Pool. Es liegt zwar etwas Seegras das Hotel ist aber bemüht es zu entfernen. Es liegt deutlich weniger als bei den Hotel drumherum. Wir waren nur zwei Nächte dort aber uns hat es gut gefallen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut.

We had a really great stay at Niken Beach in Tulum. The location is right by the beach, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help whenever we needed something. The room was clean and comfortable, and overall the hotel had a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Niken Beach to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Tulum, especially if you want to be close to the beach and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. We would happily come back again!

Hermoso hotel, habitación muy cómoda, casi no necesité salir. Ubicación muy tranquila, frente al mar.

Demasiado sargazo, aunque sé que no es culpa del hotel, pero no pude disfrutar de la playa.

No bad comments about the hotel. Low season in Tulum (August) so a number of local eating and drinking places closed, and at the slightly quieter end of town *purposefully , however we managed to find options for a couple of nights (variety or restaurants and prices available)

De strandstoelen stonden erg rommelig en waren ook vuil. Dat maakte de accomodatie minder netjes

Malheureusement la présence de Sargasses mais l’hôtel n’y peut rien

Fijne kamer: mooi en schoon. Heerlijk ontbijt (inclusief). Vriendelijk personeel. Fijn zwembad, in de vorm van een kleine cenote. ‘s Avonds laat konden we voorzichtig kijken hoe grote schildpadden het strand op kwamen om hun eieren te leggen: magisch. In de tijd dat wij er waren was het seizoen van sargassum (zeewier) op het strand. Dit werd dagelijks voor een groot deel weggehaald (in tegenstelling tot veel andere hotels).

Room was large, clean and we had plenty of space for 3 people. Filtered water was provided for drinking and toothbrushing. There was a pharmacy 3 mins away for anti-mosquito repellent and sunscreen needs and a convenience store across the way. Hotel was near (5-10 mins walk) to plenty of eateries and stores.

Facilities weren’t as well tended as expected, such as walkways, beach chairs…etc. Things were …OK.

Fantastic location, comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, great facilities, near good restaurants and bars etc

Mooie ruime kamer, met een mooi uitzicht op de zee. De kamer was schoon en de airco werkte goed! Het hotel zit aan de rustige kant van de hotelzone. Helaas waren er niet veel restaurants open in dit gebied. Maar in juli is er een grote kans op zeewier en dat was nu ook het probleem. Het stinkt enorm en de zee kleurt er bruin door. Daar kan het hotel niets aan doen, maar hierdoor hebben we weinig tijd bij het hotel doorgebracht.

The beach was useless because of a lot of sargasm. The rooms look nice in the pictures, but in reality everything is getting old when you look closely at it. The breakfast was included but I never managed to get bread without butter on it (after 5 attempts), although what I was asking for was really simple: Just bread in its simplest form. Eventually, I bought bread in the grocery store in front of the hotel...

De schitterende locatie en pictureperfect opzet van dit kleinschalige resort. Aanwezigheid sfeervol zwembadje is top, mede vanwege grote hoeveelheid zeegras. Heerlijk eten.

Zelfs een Nederlander kan niets bedenken om over te klagen:)

The pool, the breakfast, the staff!

L’hôtel est excellent! On avait une chambre avec une terrasse vue sur mer, incroyable. Le petit dej était correcte. Le beach club est sympa On est à 3min en voiture et centre et 15min à pied donc vraiment pratique. Le personnel au top, vraiment adorable. Ils font l’effort de nettoyer chaque matin la plage des sargasses. On a adoré notre séjour et avons même prolongé notre séjour de 2j pour profiter un peu plus du cadre

La piscine est petite, sale et pas du tout entretenue. Même si pour être honnête elle n’est pas utile lorsqu’on est en face de la mer.

Nice beach location

Everything was perfect, the staff was great, the location also and really good food at the restaurant. You are close to everything, and you can rent bikes, scouters, atv's and trips from the front desk. We really liked it, it was a great experience. Thank you so much!

Tout à était incroyable

Le beach club est absolument sublime. Le personnel est adorable, ils m'ont aidé pour pleins de petites choses. L'hôtel est très très sécurisé (impossible d'entrer passé 19h si vous n'êtes pas client). Un vigil est là toute la nuit. L'endroit est au milieu de beaucoup de restaurants et D'ATM. Tulum est a peu près à 15 minutes de voiture. Le parking est très sécurisé également. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est incroyable, tout est très bon ! Possibilité de se faire masser. Nous avions eu des sargasses, mais la plage doit être magnifique sans.

L'endroit est paradisiaque, le personnel tjs très réactif, le petit déjeuner est délicieux.

Rien mais à refaire nous n'aurions pas opté pour la chambre avec "piscine-baignoire" (un jacuzzi qui ne fonctionne pas en réalité) sur le toit avec vue sur le toit des voisins car les transat, la plage et la vue sur mer sont bien plus agréables.

The room right on the beach, the food and drinks at the beach club were not only good but also good value for money. The staff was really nice and accommodating.

This is beautiful place right on the beach. The staff were so friendly and the vibe was so relaxed and calm. The family room was perfect, inside and outside space right onto the beach. The breakfast was great, and was included even though it wasn't on booking.com. They helped with booking tours and providing recommendations. The cleaning staff did an amazing job too with keeping the beach out of the rooms. There was some seaweed when we were there but they clean up the beach every morning and Niken had the cleanest spot of beach for quite a way! We loved it!

Prachtige kamer met zeezicht en eigen terrasje met ligbedden en zwembadje, heerlijk ontbijt , heel mooi strand … er wordt hard gewerkt om de ‘sargassum’ weg te krijgen . Heel blij met deze hotelkeuze .

Niet zozeer de accomodatie (enkel zwembad stelt niet veel voor ) maar de terugval van toerisme in Tulum.. heel veel leegstaande hotels,geen volk meer in restaurants en bars … weinig volk te bespeuren hoewel het ‘high season’ zou zijn … echt jammer ..

Superschön! Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer - ein Knaller! Der Pool ist hübsch. Frühstück lecker, 15 min zur Grande Cenote - sehr empfehlenswert!

Leider hatten wir viele Braunalgen, obwohl es erst Ende März war. Es ist trotzdem schön am Strand, aber es könnte soooo viel toller sein, wenn die nicht wären. Wir empfehlen das Hotel auf jeden Fall!

Beautiful hotel located in the quieter part of the hotel zone which we preferred. The room was gorgeous and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were so friendly and charming. I would definitely go back.

The room attendants were incredible! We came back to a pristine room every afternoon. My daughter loved the pool and the volleyball court. We chatted about how great this property would be if we still had a little kid who napped. Our room had private beach chairs, a hammock and an outdoor couch and it would be so easy to be at the beach, and then come back to your private outdoor area during naps and then go back to your beach beds again after. The food and drinks were pretty good. The room was a great size and we all loved waking up to look at the sunrise through the window. We would absolutely come back to this property.

There were a few things about the property that needed repaired or replaced. Our private hammock had a giant tear, the bean bag covers on the beach were tattered, and a loose board with a screw sticking up on our patio that someone definitely could get hurt on. Overall the property was great, but a few small repairs would go a long way in making the property feel fresher.

Excellent rooms with easy access to the beach. Great location with lot of restaurants and cafés near by. Amazing staff to take care of you. Best place to relax and enjoy.

Nothing to complain about.

We really appreciated the fantastic welcome and great service from the lovely people there - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and the terrace was gorgeous, right on the beach with fabulous views. It was great to be able to use all the facilities after we'd checked out - which meant we spent a few idyllic hours at the beach club before our trip to the airport and home. We were also given complimentary breakfast during our stay - a nice surprise!

The coffee was terrible (though it was effectively free with the free breakfast!) - recommend Bipolar Cafe down the road for its fab flat whites. The shower pressure was sometimes not great.

Dobra lokalizacja, dostaliśmy upgrade na śniadanie w cenie, było pyszne.Rewelacyjna obsługa, bardzo uważna, dbająca o czystość i porządek a przede wszystkim o wygodę i komfort gości. Mają świetną restaurację oraz świetne drinki, nie trzeba szukać gdzie indziej. Bardzo zadbana plaża, dostępne materace i parasole. Bungalow przestronny z widokiem na morze

Très agréable, bien situé juste en face une petite supérette. Restaurant sympa et bon. Jolie piscine. Chambre parfaite face a la mer pieds dans le sable. Massage agreable.

Piscine trop froide.

L'emplacement est parfait et calme. La plage est superbe, elle est nettoyée tous les jours. Le petit déjeuner nous a été offert, c'est un geste fort appréciable!

Tulum beach front de manière générale n'est vraiment pas pratique et les hotels et restaurants alentours sont devenus fous au niveau des prix.

Beach is not private, some of walk ins also have possibility to enter and enjoy the beach but that’s okay.

When we arrived, the location was perfect, and the rooms were cool. The view was great, and the service was exceptional; everyone was very welcoming

1. The plumbing system changes involved harsh chemicals that irritated our eyes and potentially harmed our lungs while we slept. 2. The value for money is definitely not there, considering the infrastructure. AC was too loud. The bathroom water was saltwater, which is regular for hotels in that region. There is a clear lack of infrastructure, and it is puzzling why there is no effective filtration or osmosis system in place among these hotels, especially considering the revenue they generate.

Incredible staff. We left an item behind, and they were amazing at getting it back to us, even covering half of the shipping. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Great location right at the beach, the staff was very friendly! Water pressure in the shower was great which is not granted in Tulum. Also, we had a free breakfast included which I loved, would definitely come back!

Une honte que booking cotionne un tel établissement sale de dangereux. Pire qu 'un todis. Fidèle a booking depuis longtemps mais depuis deux dernières déceptions colossales je me tourne maintenant vers d autres prestataires Bien plus sérieux alors que je ne réservais avant que par booking et conseillais ce dernier a mon entourage ce que je ne ferais plus vu la hauteur du préjudice que j ai subis lors de mes vacances au yucatan.

The rooms were perfect (had the deluxe suite). Every last detail thought of. The lounges were comfortable and there were so many different options, we never went without. Staff were really helpful. Food was delicious. Location is great if you’re wanting to be away from the noise but still within walking distance. Loved it!!

The location was perfect, far enough way from the Tulum party scene not to be disturbed by loud music but at the same time walking distance away. We loved the huge room and terrace overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was alway good. The staff were all very pleasant and willing to help.

We liked the fact that the hotel offers a very tranquil and chilled type of rest. All the staff work really hard to provide their guests with the most relaxing experience. The hotel territory was simply beautiful and well taken care of. Our room had a magnificent view. The rooms are equipped with everything you might need all the way up to an spf lip balm 😅 the cleaning staff did an amazing job every time. I was looking forward to the breakfast each day: simple but good quality with always friendly staff serving us. We really rested well there - thank you.

There were a few minor details we needed help with, but those were solved pretty much immediately for us. So no complaints at all!

Tivemos días incriveis neste hotel. Fomos super bem tratados, a comida estava deliciosa. O Garcon Carlos foi super gentil e prestativo conosco, nos apoiou com nosso menú do dia e con reservas em restaurantes para o jantar. As instalacoes do hotel sao limpas e bem cuidadas.

Nao gostamos porque agua do chuveiro e da torneira era salgada, a piscina e muito pequena, não tem como aproveita la.

We stayed at the Niken for 2-weeks at the end of September. The service we received here was exceptional, and the food we enjoyed was some of the best in Tulum. The hotel provided us with a complementary breakfast. It consisted of juice, fruit, granola, and yoghurt, and a choice of either eggs or bread basket. Both options were delicious and very generous portion sizes. We enjoyed lunch here on most days, pictures attached. I’d highly recommend any of the dishes but my personal favourite was the grilled octopus salad. We also enjoyed the smoothies and amazing cocktails.

Super Lage direkt am Strand. Wunderschöne Aussicht direkt vom Zimmer aufs Meer. Restaurant bis 18.00 Uhr geöffnet mit grosser Auswahl. Direkt vis-à-vis hat es einen kleinen Supermarkt mit Speisetheke. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt und würden das Hotel jeder Zeit wieder wählen.

Schade war, dass es eine Lotion gegen Moskitos gab die allerdings leer war und leider auch nicht aufgefüllt wurde. Auch das Duschmittel blieb leer.

It‘s quiet, great seaviews from the apartments on the first floor, handy to have a small supermarket just across the street, many restaurants around, nice beach (someone removes the seaweed daily but it comes back depending on the season), the restaurant is good (as we travelled low season we even got free breakfast), the cook managed to prepare glutenfree pancakes with gf flour I brought, the lady at the reception was very nice and they allowed a late check-out as it was low season

they didn‘t have mosquito plugs for the room, the pool was nice but with too many mosquitos to be really used

Great place, comfortable, clean and relaxing. Great food selection though it should have some more mexican local dishes ! Special thanks to the staff that made our stay very pleasant: Gustavo, Manuel, Gabriel, Carlos and Roberto. You guys were very kind to us, thanks (you went beyond yourselves to find us fresh fish !)

Sargassum... It's bad... The hotel cleans every morning so the beach is really nice but still, end of October and the water was still brownish.
