Beautiful beach, nice staff, good food
Amazing little bungalow village. Super cozy beach, no trash at all. the cook at the hotel is really skilled and never made anything that wasnt really good. Such a nice community. Greetings from Elis and Emil!
Amazing location, amazing staff, and amazing food. Couldn’t get any better!
Staff, food, and beach were amazing!

This is perfect for you when you want to chill en don’t want to think about anything but the beautiful beach you’re on. The location is beautiful and you’re really in nature. We had a tokeh in our cabin that kept us company at night, but we loved it!
You have to be prepared that you can’t really use your phone there. There’s no reception and no WiFi except from the bar next to the cabins.

It's a great location for a relaxing vacation or for taking the firs steps as a surfer. The staff is very friendly and so are the other locals.
Keep in mind that the beach gets crowded in weekends.
This property is for people that enjoy the surf, sun and relaxing. The food is amazing and fresh, basil chicken cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and chill. Falling asleep to crashing of the waves is amazing, after having a few cocktail’s watching the sun set. For those that chasing a bit of adventure, surf lessons are available, or hire a scooter( see James) and Check out the local French Cafe and other beaches nearby. Will be back

Great location and wonderful staff
No hot water, other than that it was great
I loved the staff, they are truly super in every regard! The location is breathless, too!
While the natural environment is truly beautiful, and the staff is the BEST, there tons of issues that you'll be facing at this property. 1.) First off, the only way you can connect to the internet is through the reception's WiFi — otherwise there's no internet in this region, even if you have a Global One SIM card, like we have, that we bought at the Manila airport at our arrival. So, unless you sit at the reception, forget about any internet signals. 2.) The second issue is the Mosquitoes. There are plenty of them, and the Hut you will be staying in has wide (over 6" wide) gaps at the top of the walls where it "joins the roof, and huge access holes on the window openings, under the doors, over the doors, so basically everywhere you will have Mosquitoes coming at you overnight, so you'll be eaten alive — so to say. 3.) Our huts door used to have a lock, but it now had a lock-hole — you know, where the lock supposed to go... and so our door is "locked" with a very thin chain and a tiny padlock... — that you can probably open with your bare hand if you yank at it strong enough. So this is your "security." 4.) Parking is only available on the street, about 500 meters away, and the only way you can come to this "motel" (though "doghouse would fit better to describe it) is through the sea shore! That's right. If it's high tide, you'll need to walk in salty water up to your thighs. Can you imagine yourself doing that with your luggage? 5.) Your blanket — if you can call it that — is a sheet, about 0.4 mm thick. That is so thin that you can breath or look through it! That's right, that's what they give you to cover yourself with overnight. If you'll be cold on occasion, you'll need to sleep with your clothes on. 6.) There is not a single outside light throughout the entire ground of this establishment! None!
Very nice owners and beach to surf. Great breakfast
No hot water or parking place, nothing really bad.
Amazing location
however disappointing that the bathroom facilities did not work. We paid much more than you would anywhere else on the island and I feel we got ripped off.
Very quiet place! The beach is amazing. Perfect place to learn surfing
If you don’t have a motorbike or other transport to move around then it may be difficult to find a place where to eat after 7pm
Going to sleep to the sound of the ocean, fan over the bed kept us cool at night, stepped outside to paradise, very helpful and friendly staff
Nothing
Lage sowie das Personal waren super
Very serene location, welcoming vibe, very homestay feeling, very much living in nature 🌴
The green nature, the location right on the beach and the family atmosphere :)
The location is perfect and so peaceful

The staff is friendly, amazing beach and location.
There was ants infestation in our bungalow.
Bon is the sweetest host and took such good care of us and the other guests around. The staff were also super kind and helpful. Taxi arrangment is very easy and the place is a wonderful (at this time) hidden treasure to go and chill in the beautiful area, snorkeling and surf. We will definetly come back at some point. The hut where we stayed was super cozy and the outdoor bathroom is amazing. Thank you guys!🫶🏼🦎
Amazing location in a pristine beach that son will be gone once an hotel is being constructed nearby. There were only 10 tourists at the beach so it felt like private. The good is home cooked and makes you feel at home.
The houses are pretty basic ones. The lights are poor the bedroom And you have no place to put your things properly.
Lovely, friendly hosts & staff.. Lovely food & amazing location on the beach.
Everything was great.
Gave me a big runaround canceling my stay after a 2 week notice between the booking company said that there email address was unreachable and them saying that they wouldn't contact them . Very disappointed and will dispute any charges wich is what they are trying for. Was within cancel period and called them directly. Unfair treatment of potential repeat customer. I don't recommend for this reason!
Customer service bad
Host and Hostess were very friendly. Family wibe.
The hotel is located in a very local, a bit private beach, it is an escape to nature. The food in thehotel was extraordinary, same as the shakes. The staff was really really friendly.
Maybe the bathroom could be a bit updated to European expectations, but not really a big issue in any case.
A true gem - absolutely fantastic if you look for a few days in a quiet, beautiful surrounding, located just 30-40 minutes drive from Puerto Princesa airport. The staff is simply wonderful, the dogs are cute and friendly, the food is very nice, the bungalows are comfy and well thought through. There are USB outlets in the bungalows which are strong enough to charge a powerbank in a few hours, otherwise you have outlets by the bar that you can use - no problem at all. The WiFi was actually surprisingly good and fast, and reached all the way to the farthest bungalows. It's a serene place, you stay right by the beach, you have a number of nice places to sit on the territory, or obviously you have the whole beach at your disposal. There's a beach bar which we never found too noisy, couple of more food places, surfboard rental. The beach does have quite some waves, so it's possibly better for surfing than for swimming - though jumping in the waves and floating over them is also good fun. Some reviewers mentioned ants and such - well, you're right next to the forest, so of course there would be some life around you. We never felt that to be a problem at all - our ants were mostly hanging out in the outdoor bathroom and in front of the door. Which is fine, we can share. As long as you don't leave leftover food in the room, you shouldn't notice these little friends much.
It’s right on a very beautiful beach. Bon and her staff work hard to make you comfortable and James is great at arranging transportation.
I liked most everything.
Calm and quiet place in a beautiful setting with beach meters away. Simple but clean cabin with outdoor bathroom, lots of ants and only a fan for cooling but this is to be expected in the jungle. Staff is super friendly and the food is delicious.
Nothing
We had a spacious room, bathroom outside, the place is very authentic, very few people on the beach, the water there is amazing, was wonderful to swim with kids. The restaurant had tasty food, especially comparing to other beach places we visited in Palawan. The staff was very kind to accept usd as we hadn’t realised there wouldn’t be exchange options there.
The bed, or rather the mattress was not too comfortable and there was no fan so it was pretty hot at night. Sometimes there are fires started along the beach with a lot of smoke coming, but that’s not a negative side of the property itself.
Playa Paraiso Nagtabon Beach is an absolute gem. The pickup service was great and from the moment I arrived I felt at home. The staff is super friendly, the food is delicious, and the bungalows are simple, yet perfectly comfortable. The garden is beautiful with some nice covered places to sit and enjoy the view. I met very nice people around the bonfire at night. The bay looks spectacular, with a deserted, clean white sand beach and great swimming. This is the perfect place to start or finish your Palawan trip if you fly in/out Puerto Princessa.
Playa Paraiso was our favorite place in Palawan. This beach was a very special place! The huts were cute and the garden very big and pleasant. The restaurant also cooked the best food in our opinion! We also enjoyed the little bar with good music that is sometimes open. Bon, her family and her staff were very friendly!
The mattress was not even anymore and could be more comfortable for the price :)
Everything! Such a diamond find. The owners and their staff are amazing.. food was great quality, fresh, and available. Great value for money. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nostalgic experience with beach life!
Plumbing could use some upgrades
Great owners, amazing spot
I am motorcycling around island and this was a perfect place to stay if you don’t mind the humidity of being in a beach - liked it - even has Elon Musk’s wonder Starlink Internet that worked really well. That man is a star. I travel the world and best protection against mozzies and biting insects is a mosquito net over a bed and this place had one. Lots of bars and seafood stalls on beach - good food
I was happy enough… it is what it is.
Location, staff, great beach
Nothing
Owners and staff very easygoing and helpful. They actively participate in the resort and make the experience fee more personal, less like an accommodation
Some nights the neighbors played loud techno music quite late into the night, spoiling the natural seaside vibe somewhat (this is no fault of the accommodation).
Great place to stay. Great people. Feel so good in this place, close to nature and wonderful beach.
If you expect 5🌟 hotel, this is not a place for you. But if you are looking for relaxing place in paradise and great hospitality, this is a place to stay. Beach huts are very basic, but you have all you need. The best part are the people running this place - owner and all staff working there are so warm, friendly and helpful that we felt like part of the family. The food is amazing, the best we had in Philippines. We will definitely return to this paradise. ❤️
Nomad luxury. Literally. However I didn’t even exist I imagine Woodstock could have been like this place, without sober mushrooms and stuff, of course. Like a family when you arrive thats your first impression. They dont welcome anybody, you need to deserve it first. (One of the local girls needs more time to get used to you, but the others are accepting without no questions from the first (second) moment. All and all we had excellent time here, despite the rainy season.
Blackouts at 9, at night.
Great location, lovely people, super friendly and very helpful!
You absolutely get what you pay for. Just bring enough cash with you as the place is remote and far away from the trouble. It‘s a very peaceful place. If you‘re up for time with yourself I highly recommend this place! It gets dark very early and the rooms are working with solar energy. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome during our time there.
Great location on the beach, good beach itself with possibility for surfing, great food, great and helpful hosts. Friendly dogs 🙂
Whole object is powered from solar energy (which is nice), but there are only USB-A in the rooms and in you want normal socket, you have to charge everything on the bar.
Beautiful place at the sea for relax out of civilisation and hectic city life. Very friendly and helpful owners. I really like them.
Everything is ok, but you need to know, you will come to the nature and you can share room with ants, geckos and everything that belongs to nature.
Restaurant on site cooked excellent food.
Ants where out of control
Bon and Christian are fantastic operators; friendly and hospitable. The accommodation was exactly what I was looking for as I wanted to relax listening to the surf breaking on the beautiful Nagtabon Beach. Bon is an exceptional cook. Every meal we ate was delicious. I will definitely be back.
The owner and the staff are really nice and helpful, the food is delicious, the rooms are really close to the beach and you'll see wonderful sunsets.
If you are looking for a perfect getaway to recharge, connect with nature and wonderful people - this should be your choice. The owners are a lovely family who do everything to make you feel welcome, Ata Bon is a great chef and Christian has countless travel stories to tell. The Nagtabon beach is a strand of white sand, palm trees and warm calm waters. The bungalow was minimalistic and beautiful with a large comfy bed and an open roof bathroom. Don't expect the western standards of comfort as there is no wifi in the rooms, no hot showers (is so hot that you won't even notice) and no cashless payment options, but in return you will get a real relaxing experience. I felt safe as a female solo traveller.
The insects can be disturbing, but the beds have a mosquito net.
The view, the food, the massage next door “touch of Nagtabon beach”, the “Coco” bar next door, the fishing with Willy the local fisherman and more importantly getting to know the owners who run the property. Very pleasant stay for someone who is looking for peace and quiet during holidays. Very good value for money too.
WiFi could be better but I was happy that kids were off the phone for a little while
Beautiful place! Amazing staff, and good food
This area have lots of mosquitoes and ants At this time of the year
The location was cool, had to drive our scooters along the beach to get there which we thought was funny but others might not, if you're not comfortable with that you can park at the entrance of the beach and walk so not really suitable for suitcases...the property is peaceful and the beach is lovely and clean, our hut was very clean on the first day but after that was infested with ants, as in totally covering the toilet. You probably need the room cleaned each day to make it a bit more comfortable.
I dont usually mind a few ants but this property was verging on infested. The shower didn't work and despite a sign saying guests can order dinner during the day for that evening both nights we stayed they said they didn't have food, the first night we ate cup noodles from the store. There are little options for food but if you eat early enough the place next to the accom was good! We had bbq chicken and the mixed vegetables
Being in a quiet, secluded place with the beach at your front door.
There's not enough food options and there isn't a menu to really choose from.
The location was perfect and g the staff very very good. Bon cooked us some great meals and the American breakfast superb
Water supply very very weak
I don't have enough words to describe how kind the owner, Bon, is! I hope she will read this review! First of all, if you want to escape the craziness and mass-tourism area of El Nido, Nagtabon is the perfect spot to completely detach and relax. This is also a good stopping point if you want to visit the underwater river. We loved the cabin so close to the water, we loved the almost private beach, and we were so lucky to be there during some bio-luminescence (first time I saw bioluminescence while walking on wet sand - it was phenomenal). Don't be surprised if you do see some trash at the main entrance of the beach - it's the only place they collect it and trash disposal is still a huge problem in islands like the Philippines. The owners, a German-Filipino couple, are helpful and friendly. The children are so well educated, polite, and sweet. Bon cooked for us every night, and I was amazed how such simple dishes could taste so good! Breakfast was a little unclear in terms of timing and option, but I believe it was our mistake - I wasn't sure what to ask without sounding too demanding. I am sure that if you clearly ask for a time and options, everything will be fine! It was funny to see that their father (/father-in-law), a pure German man, was living there with them - Nagtabon definitely does not run in German style! Bon even gave us a ride to catch the "shared private bus" to El Nido - and she drove all the way back to bring my phone as soon as I realized that I accidentally left it in her car after she dropped us at the terminal. I was so grateful! Overall definitely a place I would recommend!
Ants were a little of a headache - they kept colonizing the toilet until we finally sprayed something to keep them at bay. Perhaps you can ask if they have more natural remedies - we did not mention anything because it wasn't a big deal for us, just a little annoying to have to clean up every time before using the bathroom.
👍👍👍
Nothing
Great place to stay, nice food, outstanding service. Try the massage area next to the resort you wont regret.
I just booked one night thinking that it was enough for a small place like that. Mistake. I tried to book more nights on the check out date but was full :(
Very quiet location, beautiful beach. Listening to the waves at night was so lovely. Pierre was very helpful, he was just helping the owners out as they weren’t there.
The bathroom had loads of ants all over the toilet as it was outside and had to shower them away. No air con
A peaceful paradise. For breakfast, they make almost anything anyone wants. Very friendly, helpful staff. The sea is suitable for surfers.
Perfect location to find beauty and tranquility. The beach is right in front of the cabin and very quiet. We also loved our hosts, they were very welcoming and helpful with anything (tours, info, transfers from Puerto Princesa and to El Nido, small talk). Every afternoon, you could tell what you wanted to eat and they will prepare a delicious meal for you at the time you wanted. My girlfriend and I dined together at the beachfront cabanas (not the rooms) by ourselves, making it unintentionally quite romantic. I would highly recommend this place. P.s. we stayed at both the cabins and the larger upper room. The cabins are smaller, but have their own bathroom attached to it. The upper room is very spacious with a comfortable hammock, but has its bathroom downstairs
Nope
It is located right by the beach, great home made food and drink, everything is built from organic material, perfect place to spend a few days quietly reconnecting with nature.
Very clean, quiet beach. The occasional motorbike but we stayed for 3 nights and it was a perfect 'switch off' getaway for relaxing, reading etc. Lots of dogs to fuss around the area. Very local - totally non commercial area. You cant really walk around off the beach and access to food is limited, only a few very local food vendors with limited options. We only stayed for 3 nights so this wasn't an issue - it's nice to be away from chain stores and fast food places for a bit. Very quiet other than the noise of nature and crashing waves. 10m to the beach! The owners are super friendly, staff are professional, friendly and will take good care of guests throughout the stay. Around one hour drive to Sabang where you can visit a couple of ziplines (one in the hills, the other over the ocean and close to the underground river). For the underground river, you can hire a taxi through the hotel - 3500p round trip. It is advisable to book underground river tickets in advance and be prepared for the tour to be cancelled if water conditions are not good. If you have a flight out of Palawan the next day, you may be given priority as per some government policy we were told about. Overall we were very happy here and would definitely go back.
No storage in the room, some hooks inside would be useful (including a hook to hold the door open). Water not provided in room but can buy from the kitchen. Lots of mosquitos, bring spray/patches. Sea not particularly suitable for swimming when we visited but nice for a paddle. Not much to do in the area, no motorbike rental. Limited food and drink options. If you don't like seafood it can be repetitive if having 3 meals a day there. Drinking at the Playa Paraiso kitchen was super chill but you can go to one of maybe another 2 places close by where you can enjoy drinks by the beach. Breakfast is egg + toast or instant noodle with vegetable. Limited seating by the beach so can be irritating if other guests arrive there and are smoking. Bring your own toiletries, inc shampoo (bar of soap provided).
Excellent location right by a stunning beach. Very neat and lovely cabins and outdoor beach pavilions to relax and have dinner. Bon is an excellent cook! Highly recommend having dinner there. Bon and Christian and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and help out with whatever you need. A very friendly homely feeling.
Rooms can use some hooks or shelves for clothes but that is a minor detail.
Amazing off the beaten track family driven resort. Simple living at its best! Spend your days lounging around, walk the beach and enjoy Bons home cooked meals followed by an evening of looking at the stars. Leave the hustle and buzzle of city life behind and go off grid at Playa Paraiso.
As in previous comments. Yrs, it is rustic. But totally amazing. Perfect place to run away from bustle. Beach just outside of the hut. Hosts, if you think about great ones, they are even better. And shrimps prepared by host is still best food in Phillipins we had so far
The owners are delightful people! We loved this family and watching their efforts to live responsibly in paradise. They are finding just the right balance between providing comfort and amenities to their guests while not turning into a bland corporate resort without personality,
The location is just amazing, you wake up and take 10 steps and are in the water on this beautiful beach. The huts are cozy and comfortable to stay in. The staff is super nice and will cook you some amazing food.
The huts are very raw, no AC or hot water so if that’s something you value this is maybe not the place for you. Also this is in the middle of forest so you will have some insects in the accommodation.
Breakfast was basic
There was no hot water boiler in the room and no storage space for clothes, not even nails on the wall.
