La tranquilidad y el trato del personal. No encontrabamos transporte para marcharnos y el dueño se ofreció a llevarnos gratuitamente a un lugar donde era más fácil encontrarlo. Lugar de 10, propietario de 20!!

Lo único malo, que está un poco alejado de los núcleos urbanos.

The little house is absolutely beautiful, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, with so much good taste and attention to detail. The garden is exceptionally well maintained and adds so much to the charm of the place. Everything was simply perfect. We felt so welcomed and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Saras, sua moglie e il loro staff sono stati semplicemente fantastici! Il giardino a terrazze è molto bello, i cottage sono qualcosa di unico e la vista dalla veranda è da cartolina. Uno dei migliori tramonti che abbiamo visto a Bali!

Everything! The location of the guesthouse is amazing, and the staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. The view is even more beautiful than in the photos: you can see the sea, the volcanoes, and the jungle, and the sunsets are absolutely magnificent. We would definitely come back!

Tout. Saras, son épouse et le personnel ont été parfaits, très accueillants, ils ont tout fait pour que ce séjour soit inoubliable. La cabine Coffee est très confortable, spacieuse, décorée avec gout. La vue est magnifique, le jardin est très agréable, nous avons pu nous y promener librement. Les petits déjeuners sont excellents (surtout le smoothie à l'avocat), et les repas du soir très bons aussi. Merci encore à Saras pour son accueil et sa visite commentée de son jardin tropical.

Mais quel endroit sublime !!! 😍 Une cabane de luxe avec une vue incroyable, des couchers de soleil à couper le souffle et des hôtes d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle ! Un immense merci à Saras et sa femme pour leur accueil si chaleureux 🥰 Ils sont adorables !!!!

Oui bien sûr on entend les voitures et scooters à partir de 6h le matin, mais on dort quand même bien et le cadre et la gentillesse exceptionnelle des hôtes dépassent largement ce petit point négatif !

Magnifique ! Des maisons individuelles parfaitement équipées et décorées avec beaucoup de goût au sein d’un jardin luxuriant. Un bonheur.

De host Saras is echt de vriendelijkste Balinees. Hij gaf ons een rondleiding in zijn prachtige tuin en liet ons vanalles proeven. Het huisje is prachtig.

Misschien wat lawaai van de weg maar is op meerdere plaatsen zo in Bali.

Un lieu exceptionnel. Les habitations au milieu d'une plantation où sont récoltés de nombreux fruits variés, des clous de girofle, que l'on vous propose de visiter. L'exposition plein ouest offre un coucher du soleil à couper le souffle. Impossible d'en avoir un de plus beau ! Le logement est remarquable, dans ses moindres détails. Les petits-déjeuners et repas servis sur votre terrasse sont délicieux. Enfin, la possibilité de voir un film en grand écran de son lit le soir est un plus que les enfants apprécieront ! L'hôte, Saras, ainsi que toute sa famille son d'une gentillesse incroyable. Un grand merci pour cet accueil si chaleureux. Cela restera un moment particulier pour nous, inoubliable... merci.

Geweldig huisje met alle faciliteiten en een prachtig uitzicht. Daarnaast een top service van de eigenaren en het personeel. Je kunt uren op het balkon zitten en niet uitgekeken raken van het mooie uitzicht. Ze hebben er een paradijsje van gemaakt en weten precies hoe ze de gasten het goede gevoel moeten geven. Ik kan dit verblijf aan iedereen aanraden!

Подъездная дорога сложновата, особенно в дождь. Но это вопрос не к хозяину виллы.

Absolument fantastique, personnel exceptionnel, gentil, à l'écoute, réactif. La vue depuis la terrasse est magique, le jardin est immense et magnifique. Je recommande très fortement ce logement.

Rien, tout est parfait.

Saras is een goede gastheer, enthousiast, altijd opgewekt en behulpzaam met organiseren en tips. Het tijdstip maakt hem niet uit. Zo waren hij en zijn vrouw wakker toen wij om 23.45 uur aankwamen en stond hij ons om 5 uur in de ochtend uit te zwaaien toen we dolfijnen gingen spotten. Hij spreekt goed Engels. We hebben op zijn advies dolfijnen gespot en een hele mooie trekking door een beschermd bos langs het meer gemaakt o.l.v. een gids die eindigde met een boottochtje. De taxi drivers die hij adviseerde, reden goed en waren stipt en betrouwbaar. Munduk zelf is vrij uitgestrekt en ligt in een heel mooi natuurgebied. Het is rustig, weinig toeristisch en relatief goedkoop. Een nadeel kan zijn dat er geen restaurants, cafés of gezellige winkeltjes in de buurt zijn, maar wij vonden dat niet erg en hebben twee avonden in ons huisje lekker gegeten. Het gebied ligt vrij hoog en dat maakt dat de temperatuur aangenaam koel is, zo rond de 23 graden.

Eigenlijk niks, zeker niet als je natuur en rust en gastvrijheid waardeert.

Un immense merci à Saras et à toute sa famille pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse et leurs précieux conseils tout au long de notre séjour. Nous avons passé un moment absolument formidable et inoubliable dans notre cabane. La vue, tout simplement incroyable, nous a littéralement coupé le souffle. Les conseils de Saras ont vraiment fait la différence : il nous a mis en relation avec un loueur de scooter formidable qui nous a livré directement le scooter à notre logement, ce qui était très pratique. Il nous a également recommandé un chauffeur, extrêmement serviable, toujours disponible et très prudent, qui nous a accompagnés le soir pour aller dîner au restaurant. Et ce ne sont là que quelques exemples parmi tant d’autres attentions et recommandations précieuses. Mention spéciale également pour les petits déjeuners, copieux et délicieux, qui étaient un vrai plaisir chaque matin. Merci de nous avoir ouvert les portes de votre petit paradis et de l’avoir partagé avec nous. Nous espérons sincèrement avoir la chance de revenir un jour… et cette fois, de découvrir la cabane Manggis ! Encore merci pour tout ✨

De verblijven alleen zijn al geweldig om te zien en gelegen in een wonderbaarlijke en goed verzorgde tuin . Als je het verblijf binnenstapt wordt je overspoelt met comfort en luxe. Van het balkon met de fantastische vergezichten, het comfortabele bed, tot de schitterende luxe badkamer. Als je denkt dat het niet beter kan, dan heb je Saras en zijn familie nog niet ontmoet. Met hun service, verzorging en aanwezigheid maken zij de ervaring hier nóg specialer. Dagelijks een uitstekend ontbijt, op verzoek een heerlijk diner, kleine of grotere problemen worden adequaat en altijd met een lach verholpen. Het onderlinge contact verloopt zeer vriendelijk en spontaan. Saras en zijn contacten zorgen daarnaast dat het je ook buiten de deur aan niets ontbreekt. Bijvoorbeeld voor het huren van een scooter of het organiseren van activiteiten.

We loved everything. This accommodation exceeded all our expectations! It was my birthday, and I wanted to spend the day with my family in a unique and beautiful place in the mountains. I chose this guesthouse from among many options because I wanted privacy and oneness with nature. We rented a small house, but it was enough for us, as it has everything we need for a carefree vacation. Every detail in the house was thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, which made our stay even more special. In the morning, they gave me flowers and wished me a happy birthday; it was a wonderful surprise! Thank you so much for making this day even more memorable!

There's a road near the house, and in the evenings and early mornings, you can hear the noise of motorbikes and occasional cars. But earplugs are provided, which solve this problem.

we booked another cabin for the second night - and WOW! it is so spacious + the bed looks rights to the stunning view and there is a movie projector which makes it absolutely perfect in the evening, we enjoyed our favorite movies and felt super cosy. this cabin is a brand-new one so it is well-maintained and beautifully designed with attention to detail and love. I already described my experience from the first night of the smaller cabin - feel free to refer, you won't regret visiting this place just wanted to support Saras' family, and recommend their place to everyone!

If I could rate this place at 1000 - I would do this!! This stay was the one that you'll always be remembering of! Once we arrived, we immediately booked the second night. There are no words to describe this kind of paradise. The territory is like a 5 star hotel. Really, it's a dream come true experience, like a fairytale. SO BEAUTIFUL. The view.. you can see the ocean and the mountains over the jungle. I don't know what could be the best. You can stay there and no need to explore surroundings, because you live in the place that can beat it all. and Saras's family - they are humble heroes, super welcoming and nice people. the house is super clean and well-maintained. there's everything you need and even more. it feels like home the breakfast was super tasty. I'm still emotional about this stay. I highly recommend to everyone! And we'll definitely come back thank you Saras!

the only thing that we could notice is the noise from the road which can be really hard sometimes, especially motorbikes at the early morning. but to me it's not a big deal

It was fresh, clean, beautifully made wooden structure with excellent bathroom. Set in a magnificent garden with mango, avocado, coffee, banana, papaya trees. Wonderful to walk around. The owner invites you to use his personal gym and he is an arm wrestling champion! Saras helped us out to get to local sites and was constantly available to assist.

Un havre de paix Un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. Ce lieu est parfaitement bien équipé et une décoration somptueuse. Le petit déjeuner est divin et le diner gentillement préparé par la propriétaire est top également. Pour l'emplacement 35 min de lovina. Les sources d' eau chaude et les cascades sont à proximité aussi. Il est vrai que l'on entend la route mais la nuit reste calme.

La cabane est très confortable, parfaitement équipée (machine à café à disposition, eau potable, jeux de société, boules quies). La vue y est incroyable, le mobilier extérieur est confortable. Les hôtes sont très serviables et réactifs. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Ils est possible de leur commander à dîner, meilleurs Nasi Goreng qu'on ai mangé à un prix imbattable. La meilleure location de notre voyage à Bali. Nous regrettons de ne pas y avoir passé plus de temps.

La température de l'eau de la douche est très compliquée à régler, eau soit brûlante soit froide. Emplacement bruyant à cause de la jungle et de la route mais avec les boules quies ça va !

Saras en zijn vrouw waren erg behulpzaam als we iets nodig hadden, gaf suggesties voor leuke restaurants en opties voor het boeken van een chauffeur als we ergens heen wilden gaan (dit was erg handig aangezien je geen Gojek of Grab in de buurt hebt). De locatie was prachtig, de accommodatie was heel schoon met alles wat we nodig hadden en het ontbijt was erg lekker. Het was echt een unieke ervaring!

A Peaceful Gem with Exceptional Hosts 🌿✨ We stayed three nights at Garden Terrace Pali and absolutely loved it. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, arranging scooter rentals, giving great local tips, and making us feel at home. The lush garden is stunning, perfectly maintained, and so peaceful. Breakfast was delicious every morning — enjoying it while overlooking the garden was truly special. Highly recommended!

Wat een prachtige plek, vooral bij zonsondergang. De host is heel erg behulpzaam. Van hieruit kun je veel verschillende watervallen bezoeken.

The house was incredible, with breathtaking views. The sunsets from the room look like something out of a movie. And the family running the place is absolutely lovely – they took great care of us. They made sure we had everything we needed at all times, served us dinner and breakfast, and the food was delicious! 100% recommended.

Photos don't do it justice. The views, the surroundings, breakfast on the balcony, the owners, the bathroom (new shower is fantastic), the beds, the espresso coffee machine (AMAZING), the duvet for the net... the list goes on. The attention to detail that went into this place is just awesome and the owners went out of their way to help us. Don't miss a walk in the immaculate grounds. Kids loved the loft, and they had a friendly cat that visited us.

Amazing accommodation in a beautiful location with a stunning view. Very kind host, extremely helpful and accommodating. One of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed at in northern Bali. We didn’t notice any of the scooter noise mentioned in some reviews. Peaceful place to stay. Lovely surroundings and garden.

The little cottage was fully equipped with everything you could need. coffee, tea, water, everything. the gardens were absolutely beautiful.

What am amazing family and place to stay just out of Munduk. Peaceful and relaxing away from the buzz of the more popular areas. Saras helped us organise a local driver, Made, who was the best driver we had in Bali and gave us a good price. Wasn't a mission at all to get around.

Saras and his family made the Garden Terrace the most spectacular place I have ever stayed! He helped us with everything, he was available within seconds everytime and made us feel welcomed and loved! We can’t even describe how stunning the place is with the extremely well equipped cottage, the view of the island and the shoreline and the amazing garden. All the breakfasts were delicious! We already miss the place and the host and hope to see you soon!

Everything was top notch, no faults whatsoever

The owner and his family are wonderful people. The friendliest people and very helpful. The bungalow has an amazing view (you can see the North West coast) in the middle of the jungle, a very nice garden. The owner is very responsive via WhatsApp. There is a nice (small) mezzanine with an extra bed for the child

The noise from the street (loud motorcycles) was for us not bearable - especially in the morning (starting from 06:30). We booked 3 nights, but left after 1 night. Another aspect: without a motorcycle, you are lost. There are no restaurants on walking distance (but they can cook for the guest - very delicious). We had some minor issues with the door and hot water (but that was resolved quickly)

Everything was just perfect. Like the sunset and view… i have seen so many places in the world but i have never seen a view like this before! The host family was amazing too. They were so sweet and amazing, and the house was beautiful… everything was just way better than we could ever imagine…. Thank you so much! It was great!

Saras and his family welcomed us warmly to their magical cottage on a foggy, rainy afternoon, making the garden and the cottage feel mystical. The attention to detail in the design, furnishing, and convenience of the cottage rivalled that of 5-star hotels, creating a truly special experience. Saras and his wife greeted us with a tasty welcome drink and mangosteen from their garden, showcasing their hospitality and the beauty of their homegrown produce. The meticulously maintained garden, tended to by Saras and his family, was a masterpiece of natural beauty and a labour of love. Our stay was a serene retreat, from waking up to a stunning sunrise, enjoying coffee from their garden, lounging in the hammock and wandering the garden to indulging in a full day of relaxation, ending with a full-body massage at the cottage. Our children also loved the well-deserved day of rest in this jungle paradise. We are eager to return here on our next visit to Bali and can not recommend it enough.

There's not much to dislike, but the noise from the road can be a bit annoying early in the morning, so it's better to anticipate it with some earplugs. We didn't mind it much because we would otherwise miss the sunrise. Afterwards, we went back to bed. The traffic really peaks early in the morning.

Shower is a bit capricious. A bit noisy in the morning because of the road behind but it was not a problem for us.

Sadly we could only stay here 1 night, the accommodation was so beautiful we would’ve loved to have stayed for longer. The hosts were very attentive and provided a welcome drink and freshly cooked food for breakfast, we also ordered an evening meal. The views are incredible and we enjoyed walking around the lovely gardens. Everything about it was well thought out to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

The hot and cold water took a little while to work out in the shower. That really is the only thing though, everything else was great.

Beautiful house above the valley, complete privacy, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. The garden around the house is very nice and you can walk around the property. The location is good as a starting point for trips around the area. He definitely wants a motorbike or a car because there isn't much around. The owner can arrange for you to rent a motorbike. Of course, everything is nice and new, but it also brings small problems that need to be solved. For example, setting the water temperature in the shower is quite an adventure 😅 But otherwise all good, thank you.

The most incredible house made of beautiful wood with an unforgettable, breathtaking view. We arrived late in the evening and we were very pleasantly greeted by the owner with hot cocoa, the most delicious avocado and a fire pit. The house is even better than in the photos, quite large, two-level and incredibly cozy. Everything is new and smells delicious. In the morning, this crazy view made me cry with happiness. You can admire the view from the balcony, from the window in the attic or on the 1st floor grid right in the jungle. I liked everything here. Starting from the beauty of the house, design, furniture, comfortable bed, very well maintained area, stairs to the 2nd floor, where you feel like in a fairy tale. It was very nice to find board games and a gym in the house. Also a huge thank you to the owner for a healthy and delicious breakfast. At the check-out, he gave us fruits from his garden and avocado, it was so nice and sweet. I will definitely come back here and highly recommend this place to stay to everyone.

The place is pretty faultless. Only thing to consider is the location. Waterfalls, coffee plantations and lakes all require transport.

New and cosy decorated cabin, set in a beautiful large garden with an amazing view. You can see the sea, and sometimes you are in the clouds. Spectacular. It is very clean. It has a big fridge, magnetron, tea and coffee facilities, drinking water, good breakfast and some simple but tasty tasty dishes you can order for lunch or dinner. Saras and his loving family are great hosts and take good very care if you. I stayed for one week, but would have loved to stay longer.

Best place to stay in Bali! We spent here 10 days and we loved it so much! The house is big, clean and extremely cozy. The bed is comfortable. We enjoyed sunsets every evening from our terrace. We also had tasty breakfasts and sometimes we ordered dinners. All food was good. Saras (the host) is the best! He is so helpful and caring! Thank you for everything you did for us! We definitely recommend this place to stay in Bali - so peace and quite! The temperature is lower than on sea side but it takes only 25 minutes by bike to Lovina beach.

A spa-like haven with a stone rock shower adorned with real plants – an unexpected delight. Every detail within the cabin was top-notch, down to the Crate and Barrel dishes! Who knew that there was a Crate and Barrel in Indonesia? The bed was soft and comfortable? They had a microwave and an espresso machine - quite a rare find in Bali! Indulging in both daily made us feel pampered beyond belief as full time travelers. Our days fell into a blissful routine: waking up to journal and meditate, enjoying breakfast brought by Saras and his wife while soaking in the Bali beauty, sipping on espresso, and reflecting on life. The patio became our work-from-paradise spot, with occasional walks along the property's serene paths. Ordering dinner via Grab or Gojek (only two restaurants will deliver to this area) added a touch of convenience, and evenings were spent watching a show or movie on our laptop. We repeated this heavenly routine for seven memorable days. Oh, and those avocado smoothies! They were the absolute best.

Let's talk about the not-so-great bits: the noise - which the host has no control over, and the insect situation. Firstly, the noise hiccup. The cabin's location right next to the mountain road means dealing with some loud motorbikes and trucks, especially the ones that seem to fancy modified mufflers. Thankfully, the traffic mellows down after 9 PM, giving a bit of a peace. Now, onto the insect adventure. When it rains, expect a bit of a bug invasion due to the traditional Balinese architecture – that cool open space between the roof and walls. It's a gateway for a swarm of flying insects to join the party indoors. To dodge them, we had to keep the lights off to avoid attracting these uninvited guests. It added a touch of 'glamping' vibes, the only time we felt like we were part of a nature adventure inside the room.
