Tranquil Nest Vaavu

Traquil nest is a very good hotel if you want to hear only the waves, the birds and the chicken that walk around the property. My room was upgraded and I had a balcony and an amazing view of the ocean from the room and the bathroom. Staff was amazing🫶 Food was good too🫶 They prepared different settings to have dinner. One where the nurse sharks passed by, another in the beach. Decoration, view... amazing. If you like snorkeling you can see everything, all kid of fish, reef sharks, eagle rays... amazing! A place to come back if you want to feel calm.

Moře zde je jako akvárium můžete zde vidět mnoho druhů ryb rejnoky, žraloky, barakudy, kanice, karety. Pokud se chcete potápět musíte jít cca 5 min. do hlubšího moře. Ostrov je opravdu velmi klidný. Nám týden stačil.

Ubytování nabízí pouze 2 druhy snídaně. Maledivská je lepší, kontinentální nic moc. Po týdnu se to přejí. Nabídka ostatních jídel to samé. Personál až na dva lidi nic moc. Nezdraví, nejsou moc vstřícní. Vlastně jsme jim tak nějak jedno. Majitel se objevil pouze první den kdy jsme platili. A pak poslední den, kdy jsme také platili. Jinak nejevil o nás žádný zájem. Je na něm hodně vidět, že chce hlavně peníze a moc se nestarat. Na pozemek chodili i sousedé, což nebylo moc příjemné. Ležíte na lehátku a těsně za vaší hlavou si pán začne nařezávat větve palmy kde sbírá 2x denně šťávu. Na poslední dva dny našeho pobytu přijela zřejmě majitelova rodina cca 15 lidí. Už jsme byli rádi, že odjíždíme. Škoda, že majitel nepůjčuje paddleboardy nebo surfy.

Endroit calme, loin des grands hôtels touristiques, avec une vue splendide et accès direct à la plage. Parfait pour être au calme quelques jours. Petit restaurant, pas énormément de choix mais tout était très bon ! Et le personnel vraiment gentil.

Le matelas était vraiment très dur, les murs mal isolés, et sur 5 jours la chambre n'a pas été rafraîchie. Pas assez de transats pour tous les occupants, et même dans ce petit établissement, les places étaient déjà réservées la veille... Des petits aléas qui ne m'ont pas empêché de passer un bon séjour

De locatie van het hotel is waanzinnig maar het is wel hard aan een renovatie toe, iets wat binnenkort ook gaat plaatsvinden als ik het goed begrepen heb.

We had an amazing time at Tranquil Nest! Very nice place and people, the food was great, wonderful staff and the coral reef around is beautiful. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy real Maldives!

Excellent seaside location

Everything needs a facelift. Apparently in the cards. Breakfast needs an overhaul Repetitive. Not very good.

La struttura è molto caratteristica, vicino ad un mare stupendo e in mezzo alla natura. Le camere sono spartane, ma comunque le cose essenziali ci sono tutte. Si mangia bene e il personale è gentile e accogliente. Siamo rimasti bloccati per il volo cancellato e ci hanno supportato in tutto. Graxie a Sajid e a tutto lo staff, è stata una bellissima vacanza!

C"e" una bellissima spiaggia adiacente, ma poco fruibile in quanto non ci sono ombrelloni o comunque qualcosa per fare ombra. La colazione dovrebbe essere più varia.

Staff accogliente, discreto e molto disponibile, un’ atmosfera di vero relax, ci si ambienta subito e ci si sente a casa. La spiaggia privata é splendida, una vera oasi di bellezza e tranquillità. Anche la bikini beach dell’isola è altrettanto bella. Rakeedhoo è molto piccola, pochi abitanti, si respira l’autenticità dello spirito maldiviano. La struttura organizza anche le escursioni, bellissime. Una menzione speciale alla cucina veramente molto buona.

La cura di alcuni dettagli renderebbe la struttura eccellente (per esempio letti della camera piú nuovi e comodi o alcuni arredi del giardino e spiaggia che andrebbero rinnovati)

Rare find, most Maldive island accommodations do not have a waterfront position or private "bikini" beach which this one has. Great position, beautiful views, nice beach, good swimming. (mostly at high tide) very small quiet island. Only 2 places to stay on the island. Overall this is a good location on a tiny quiet island with beautiful surrounding waters. The staff are courteous and attentive. English is spoken. Lunch and dinner menus were fairly good. The price for excursions was very reasonable and the snorkeling trips were very good; coral "mounds" are not even 10 minutes away. I was told the dolphin excursion was exceptional. Lunch and dinner are a la cart and reasonably priced, fairly good choices. This is a very small hotel with 12 rooms, a friendly atmosphere. The lunch and dinner menu is al la carte, not as I was told, a set menu. Prices are generally reasonable. A beautiful parrot lives here and there is a congenial atmosphere among the guests -from many countries. My arrival and departure were well handled and easy. I felt looked after, even if I did experience difficulty getting on the snorkeling excursions and it was a bone of contention with the acting manager (who is there currently to oversee the hotel "facelift") February 2026.

The hotel needs a lot of upkeep, rooms are "tired" looking and drains smell. The current management said that remodeling is eminent, this is good to hear. the outdoor areas while well swept and clean (by local ladies ) very early each morning but a lot of the beach furniture needs to be upgraded, it is a bit hodgepodge - the sunbeds could have been kept cleaner. The one kayak (which was nice to use) is in disrepair and the paddles, while adequate really could be better and a double paddle is needed. The paddle was "homemade". My biggest complaint is that I was told that there was a "house reef" and this just is not true unless you consider that at 400m this is a house reef, and it is the -outer reef. I came for the snorkeling. The day I arrived, it didn't appear to be that rough but I was advised not to swim out to the reef. Using the kayak you can get to the "blue hole" but make sure you can site the white buoy to find it before you take off. After you paddle out once, then it is easy to find, but if the wind is against you, you better be good at paddling, it is about 700m away. Breakfast needs improvement; the portion was good enough and there was fruit each day, but it is not what you would call a good breakfast and in my 3 days there, it really lacked variety and the pancakes were ... tough. Wieners and a scrambled egg "omelet".. was tiresome. A buffet would be a great improvement. The "garden room" costs less but has no view, you have to keep the curtain shut, people are always walking by. RM. 107 upstairs is probably the best. INSIST on booking excursions ahead of time (I was told to do it when I arrived) as they can be booked up, there is only one small boat available for excursions. There had been some foul weather, so when I got there, all the trips were booked for 2 days... Upon much insistence, I did get on the trip.

The dishes of the restaurant were very good and the reef around the island was gorgeous. All the staff was really kind and helpful, making Tranquil Nest one of the best places we stayed at.

Cudowne miejsce do odpoczynku. Tu czas płynie inaczej. Mnóstwo miejsca do snurkowania. Dostępne maski i płetwy, prysznic na zewnątrz, dużo fajnych łóżek plażowych, pyszne jedzenie, mogliśmy nawet wybrać rybę zaraz po połowie i ją dla nas przyrządzono na grillu. Obsługa sympatyczna, wszyscy bardzo pomocni, właściciel organizuje dla gości "wycieczki" i aktywności. Niesamowity taras na dachu. Zjawiskowy widok z okna. Generalnie czuliśmy się jak z wizytą u rodziny.

Jedyny drobny minus - dla nas za twarde łóżka.

Beautiful green territory with sand, modern and cool designed rooms, friendly staff. You can take mask and flippers for snorkeling for free. There are a lot of good snorkeling spots near the hotel. Also the spots, where you can see nurse sharks and stingrays in the evening.

Strongly noise (from generator? I don't know) in the room, you can't sleep well with this noise and vibration, because when you put your ear on the pillow it makes stronger. Maybe if you have sea view it's better, but in the garden side I heard that noise in several rooms.

Per me Rakeedhoo e il Tranquil Nest sono stati una scoperta meravigliosa. Avevo il timore di una Maldive inflazionata ma soggiornare su quest’isola e in particolare in questo posto si è rivelata una scelta tutt’altro che convenzionale. Rakeedhoo è un’atollo di 60 persone e il tranquil si trova dalla parte opposta dell’attracco della speed boat (a piedi sono 3 minuti, è un’isola minuscola). Qui abbiamo trovato una pace e una serenità incredibili. Le camere sono semplici ma molto carine, la zona relax/colazione/pranzo/cena/giochi/chiacchiere è una veranda aperta dove non è necessario neanche avere le ciabatte, sei direttamente sulla sabbia. Il posto è immerso nel verde, dove qua e là trovi sdraio, divanetti, sedie, un altalena con cuscini e pouf che guardano direttamente il mare. Acho, che ci ha accolti, ti fa trovare il necessario per fare snorkling in autonomia e una canoa per esplorare i dintorni dell’isola in autonomia. Con la struttura puoi fare escursioni di qualsiasi tipo, noi abbiamo provato la giornata intera con pick nick a Bodumohora - è stata INCREDIBILE. Al di là di tutte le cose che si possono fare, questo posto è il relax e la pace assoluta, dove anche con gli ospiti che ci sono capitati siamo entrati in perfetta sintonia. Tutti rispettosi degli spazi, del silenzio, della quiete e di qualche chiacchiera e musica se si desiderava. Se cerchi un intrattenimento da resort questo non è il posto giusto. Menzione speciale per lo staff, Acho, Gidda (spero si scriva così) la cameriera più dolce e disponibile mai vista, l’altro aiutante che ci ha portato le valige, il cuoco che faceva da mangiare davvero bene… Complimenti a tutti! Vorrei già ritornarci!

Non c’è nulla che non sia stato perfetto ma sicuramente varierei un po’ la colazione e qualche piatto del menu. Noi siamo stati 5 giorni ma immagino che se inizi a farne 10/15 il cibo potrebbe diventare un po’ ripetitivo.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, tutto lo staff è stato gentilissimo, il cuoco ha cucinato benissimo per tutta la settimana. Sembrava come casa nostra!

Jika kamu mencari tempat tenang, dengan private pantai, bisa melihat hiu, sting ray dan terkadang lumba-lumba, tapi dengan harga terjangkau, Tranquil Nest sudah sangat memenuhi ekspektasi ❤❤❤. Tempat ini tenang, nyaman, bisa melihat sunset dan sunrise, ada banyak excursion activities, dan manager Acho, juga seluruh staffs sangat ramah dan membantu. Populasi hanya ada 67 warga lokal, jadi memang kecil dan sunyi. Tapi TIDAK MEMBOSANKAN 👍👍👍

This Hotel is amazing! If you want to hideaway from big City Life, you must visit this place. 60 people are living there. Privat Beach was Stunning! Lonely Island vibes! Staff was super friendly and everything felt so familiar. Snorkeling gear was free to rent. Breakfast and Dinner was amazing! The beach area was super cozy, perfect to reset! In front of the hotel you can find some nurse sharks, sting rays and turtles, that’s so cool!

Bed is a bit hard.

Tranquil Nest porte bien son nom. C’etait absolument fabuleux sans la moindre fausse note. Nous nous sommes senti chez nous. La chambre avec une vue à couper le souffle meme mieux que les photos. Un calme parfait. Tres propre. Les plages sont magnifiques avec une faune marine tres tres riche. Nous avons passé notre sejour à snorkler. A chaque fois on rencontrait de nouvelles especes. Le personnel etait aux petits soins. Nous avins tres bien bien mangé. Petit dejeuner copieux et les repas extrêmement delicieux. L’ile est tres calme et les habitants très gentils et accueillants. Nous avions beaucoup apprecié l’observation des requins la nuit pres du jetty. Le ciel le soir etait magnifique avec une vue sublime sur la Voie lactée. Merci merci merci merci Ali tu était formidable ainsi aue ton equipe. Nous avins adoré et kous recommanderons a nos amis.

The best place we stayed at in the Maldives. The whole atmosphere at Tranquil Nest Vaavu is super chill, exactly what we were looking for. Everyone on the staff was always very helpful and friendly. The entire island and its beaches are clean and beautiful. Every day, we saw many different animals swimming near the beach or in the nearby lagoon. We also enjoyed the food and went on several trips organized directly by the accommodation.

Amazing location, the hotel could use a little bit of a maintenance but considering the humidity, it’s quite normal. We loved it regardless of small inconveniences but the view from the room made up for it.

The smell from the bathroom in certain time of the day. But as I said, nothing that wouldn’t make me book again.

Everything is great about the property. Its a break from everything, better than the 5 start private island to me. Gives you a more closer view of the nature and the local community.

I loved the outdoor music and would have lived a few more group games. Volleyball option or games night. Maybe yoga or meditation on the beach.

Honestly, everything is perfect. The peace and quiet, the facilities, the view... It's paradise... We wake up with the sunrise, have breakfast, go snorkeling, relax on a deckchair in the shade, play games, watch the sunset and the stars! 🤩 They offer excursions, but we didn't even need them... we felt really good there.

If I really need to say something it will be the price of the food (a little bit too much sometimes). And lot of waste all around the island (but not around the hotel, they clean well 🙂)

wow! the name says it all - this was a tranquil nest ! it really felt that way while we were there. Such a treat to stay at a Maldives local island rather than all the trimmings of a resort. We really felt like we were the only ones there most of the time. The highlight was the boat trip - sunset fishing and afterwards the team cooking us fish on the BBQ. Acho and Ahmed were lovely to deal with and treated us very well. Thankyou so much and we will highly recommend this experience.

i got a little sea sick from the boat ride on the journey from Male, but I think it was just the weather as I was fine on the way back. Beds are a little hard (I agree with other reviews on that point).

The location is right on the beach. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the same spot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was amazing. The atmosphere is super chilled. There are so many places to chill with loungers, swings, cuddle sofas, tables and chairs. You can pick seating with or without cushions in the shade or the sun. Free drinking water. Free breakfast, including a packed breakfast to go on my last day. Collected and dropped off at the ferry. Laundry service. A/C Lovely clean beach.

My bed was hard and lumpy. They did provide me with an extra comforter and I slept on the quilt but I would suggest they replace the mattress. Breakfast was the same every day (apart from the fresh fruit). Could do with a bit of variation. If you pay by card there is a 4% fee on top. Food is served between given times which is plenty long enough but between end of lunch and evening meal times there isn't any service.

The architectural design was very nice. The rooms were perfectly sized too. Also really liked the industrial themed interior. It's located pretty much on the beach which is amazing. They provide free snorkelling gear (in good condition). I also like the long dinner table which is a great way to interact with and befriend other guests.

The bathroom wasn't super great. There were a lot of insects (small flies?) inside, and the showers weren't super great. And the sliding bathroom door doesn't properly seal so the bathroom odour seeps in. Please note that these were minor inconveniences without which our stay would've been perfect - we can't wait to back!

No other food options other than eating at the hotel with limited menu choices. No convenient store was open either. The water also smells funky, which is the worst part of our stay. No toiletry provided. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.

The 2 girls at the bar who were serving breakfast, lunch and diner. They were very nice. And diner was good but they don’t have all on the menu.

The bed was very hard, the shower water smells like rotting egs. The room was full off spiderwebs. You didn’t have a minibar and water we must pay to drink. The save had no batteries and was broken. The breakfast was every day the same and not very nice and cold served. When you take a shower for 1 minute the full bathroom was under water because there was no level change in the floor. Sometimes you don’t have place to sit so you eat your meal at the room. There was nothing to do on the island. Only good for people who don’t wanna do anything on vacation.

Amazing property. Really one of the coolest stays I’ve ever had. The island is quite isolated which adds to the overall experience. Just make sure if you intend to travel on a budget, clarify that you want “slow boat” transfer.

The owners and staff were super friendly and we connected with them and other guests right from the beginning which lead to awesome activities and evenings. However they also make sure to give you space and privacy if needed. Everything we had to eat was straight up delicious, you can’t make a bad choice. The island is as calm and local as it can be. Make sure to checkout the local cafe and markets, the people are really nice and welcoming.

Everything is really great! You fill the whole atmosphere of Maldives.

Depending on the day you have either an American or a Maldivian breakfast. Not a huge fan of the American breakfast because as French we like the real food. The Maldivian breakfast is incredibly good!! Room was clean, exactly as like the photos. The staff is super smiling and helpful. Acho who is the manager became a friend, really nice guy, swimming with the sharks with him is really funny. A lot of great activities are proposed by the hotel (snorkeling, sharks, fishing at sunset etc...). The little beach on the side is transparent, clean and peaceful. Drinking coconut all day long became addictive ;) Family ambiance at night. Perfect place if you want to come with your half for a special occasion. We even had the chance to get some surprises by Acho and his team! One thing super important, this hotel belongs to a Maldivian family and staff are for most of them people from this tiny island who are employed by this hotel, so do not hesitate one second, book your stay now!

-The location of the island is amazing, you have all the marine wildlife all around, you can just snorkel in the reef area and you will see everything. -The staff are very nice, approachable and they will do everything they can to accommodate your requests. - The Manager Acho is flexible with the guest’s requests and he is working on all the improvement points to make the experience more pleasant. - they provided all the snorkeling gears and kayaking for free. - The chef’s food is very tasty. - WiFi signal is so strong and fast. - they have electric plugs all over the place if you want to work remotely in a quiet,peaceful and beautiful beachfront vibes ,it’s the perfect spot.

- the Bed mattress is hard but the manager promised for new soft mattresses coming soon by the end of the year. - the breakfast options was limited to 2 types only and if you stay for many days it’s repetitive and i hope it will have more options in the near future.

Everything! This was one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was lovely, the island was very small and you really felt like you were alone in the world, just taking in the endless views. It’s hard to feel more at peace than in here.

Excellent staff and great vibe. You will be well looked after. They will go out of the way to make sure everything is ok. Brilliant communication and Really exceptional service - the best we had in Maldives by a long shot!

The only thing I could mention here was that the bed was very hard for us but perhaps that’s just us!

The place is very cozy and the staff is extremely helpful. It's placed on a small island, not crowded at all, so would be good for people who search for a relaxed place. At the same time there are options to make a trip to other islands, shark point and ship wreck. A cool bright parrot lives on the territory of the guesthouse and is absolutely adorable.

I would have more food options in the menu as there is no any other place to eat on the island. but any way all was delicious. keep in mind no shower stuff. for me wasn't an issue.

Location is outstanding and so beautiful - I could never come to the Maldives and not stay at Tranquil Nest. Acho the manager is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble, Simmi’s delicious food - all the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is outstanding and the relaxed atmosphere and location makes this a must to visit. Room with a sea view with en-suite bathroom was all that is needed. Meeting like minded visitors who value the remoteness and privilege of being in such a wonderful spot.

Extremely friendly staff, caring and welcoming. Beautiful location and amazing excursions! Good food quality. The local people are very helpful and lovely. If you are looking for the ideal place to recharge your batteries: this is it! Truly a hidden gem inmidst the Indian ocean.

Quite and isolated island to forget about literally everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice excursion to the shipwreck. One evening we had a sudden barbecue with freshly caught fish which was fantastic.

The water smells awful, I was forced to breathe through my mouth while taking a shower to avoid smelling this scent. There is no room service at all: no one cleans your room, no one changes bed linen or towels, and you even need to ask for a fresh roll of toilet paper each time you run out of it. BTW, the toilet paper is the only thing you get with the bathroom - no shampoo, no conditioner, no shower gel. Rooms are 'tired' and in desperate need of renovation. The balcony that cost me an extra $200 per week is so tiny that you can't even spread your arms there. Breakfast is literally the same every day. Excursions are pricy: except for the shipwreck, we made all the others twice as cheaper when we moved to another island for the rest of our vacation. Waters next to the hotel are shallow and hardly reach the middle of a hip. If you forgot to take your swimming slippers, please accept my condolences: it will be extremely painful to enter the ocean.

Everything was perfect, Rakeedhoo is a peaceful island and Tranquil Nest is the same. The staff and all the locals are just so kind!

Fabulous stay here. Just what I needed after a noisy trip to Dhiffushi. Great staff, lovely rooms (I had a seaview and balcony), stunning location. Especially loved seeing dolphins.

There aren't really any negatives. The menu is a bit limited but that's to be expected for a small property.

Location, the vibe, the facilities. there were lots of excursions, the sunbathing area was good. great lagoon.

The mattress was extremely hard and I ended up with a very sore hip. I struggled to understand the staff roles and who to ask for what. Communication at meals was difficult as we had said vegetarian this was a worry it had been understood at meal times. the paddleboards weren't available

- Great location, 1 second and you are in the crystal clear waters - Very peaceful, the island is supersmall, always calm - Delicious food, any dish we ordered was excellent! and special thanks to the coffee with milk, we loved it - Beatiful rooftop, you can see the whole island from there as well as the ocean 360 - Enough available activities to be entertained despite the size of the island - Great AC, never failed to work

- Thin walls, very easy to hear your neighbours (but everyone was respectful and kept it quite so was not an issue) - I'd put some kid of dryer for cloths / towels on the balkony cause there was no place dedicated for that - The water in the bathroom tasted and smelled funny, def not drinkable as still a bit salty - Soup is available, shampoo is not (so take yours or there's a shop on the island) But none of these were generally an issue, the stay was great!

Beautiful and tranquil. So peaceful The guesthouse is soooo cute! Amazing decor and it’s right on the beach(just like the pictures, if not better) If you love animals you’ll love this place :)) I adopted a lot of pets in my 10 days here. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. The snorkelling around the reef is amazing! Saw some sharks, turtles and lots of beautiful fish. Excursions are really worth doing too! My flight got cancelled last minute and I had to stay longer, although they were full they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Thank you!

The location was perfect and people were very friendly, we even became friends with them! We wanted to do some fun excursions and they definitely delivered! The food was excellent and views were amazing! We will definitely come back!

Beautiful surroundings, tasty breakfasts, Dombe the parrot, free snorkel equipment, great house reef. The room was nice and clean, high standard for Maldives.

Dishes were too expensive and there is no other place on the island you can eat. Keep in mind that the property is more like a hotel than a guesthouse :)

This place is amazing! you will get a great quality relaxing time here, great views just like in the pictures. It's a quiet, relaxed place, modern design and with lots of taste. You can enter the water in bikini right in front of the hotel (but please dress appropriately when going through the local village). Food is very good with fresh fish and you can ask for maldivian options if you want. The reef here in the front is very nice, you can see several types of fish, marbleray and small reefs sharks if lucky and you can go on snorkeling or fishing excursions. You can also see dolphins swimming in the further away deeper water channel or from the boat during excursions, which is such a special experience. There is a diving center, a shop and a doctor on the island and very small charming village with a few people. The people working here are so great, so helpful, friendly and careful to all your wishes and needs!

Room walls are thin, take earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The name sums it all! Truly tranquil nest. This is not your typical Maldives resort vibes which was exactly what I was looking for. The friendliest and most helpful staff, they truly make you feel like your at a home stay. The location is quite and peaceful, rooms and common area beautifully decorated. Beach is nice but a bit rocky (wasn’t an issue for me) Food was excellent (especially the local spicy fish curry prepared for us when we asked for local food) We even rented the kayak and snorkel equipment for free and you can snorkel to a nearby reef and blue hole.

Everything was amazing. Definitely you want make mistake going there. Only make sure you there long enough, coz going there for 3 days, want be enough of that beautiful people and amazing island.

Incredible !!! The coral reef around the hotel is abundant in sea life and basically deserted, feels as though on a tiny deserted island, the best place we ever visited - we saw manta ray twice and small nurse shark in the blue hole area just 5 min from hotel plus huge colourful fish. The hospitality of the owner and staff are what especially made this special. They are talented photographers and videographers so created us kindly and generously free of charge some stunning drone and underwater footage from our shark excursions. Posted on Instagram, it looked like were influencers ha. Most hotels will try to rip you off and charge extra all the time however here they added so many free extras including a deserted sandbank tour when we did our shark tour - which was fantastic by the way huge enormous sharks and hundreds. The best excursion we've ever done. The most impressive memory was how they dealt with a difficult return home. The speedboat had some unforeseen issues which made through no fault of their own some delay. They paid for an extra night in hotel with food included plus brand new flights out of pure kindness. Which while this sort of delay won't happen to other guests as it was a very rare one off it goes to show the lengths this hotel will go to to help their guests when they need it. The generosity touched our hearts and we were so grateful. Room very stylish and modern, air con works great, food very yummy and when hotel was full was all you can eat, waiter staff very attentive, friendly. Most beautiful place we've ever visited and we are sad to have to return home. Definitely book this place if you are hesitant !!! I hope nothing changes, that the price remains as affordable and generous because this opened up the island to people like us who wouldn't usually afford such stunning luxury. Thank you!!

A serene place on a sleepy island - you definitely feel away from all noise/crowds/tourist groups in a way you wouldn’t experience anywhere else. If you would like 5 start resort amenities, then book elsewhere. What this place offers is something quite different - a glimpse into local life, peaceful surroundings and wonderful staff who are working hard to make sure every guest gets the best experience. I highly recommend going on a boat trip to one of the local islands so you can explore the fantastic local marine life.

The only thing that could be improved is the variety of meal options. The island is very small with no other restaurants and only one tiny shop for basics, so some desserts or fruit juices would be great. That being said, the staff were happy to adjust the menu and cook some local food, which I really liked. I believe they are working on a new menu, so hopefully this should be available soon!

Great, friendly staff and excursions- we went on a shark trip and saw sea turtles, a sandbank and plenty of sharks and fish. The trip exceeded all expectations and was 100% worth the money. The hotel is located near a reef edge, with spectacular corals and marine life. We saw dolphins, sharks, beautiful fish and more. The hotel is very small - you can feel like at home & there are barely any guests, which makes it a private experience.

Unfortunately when staying on Rakeedhoo, you will not be able to eat outside of the hotel (there are no restaurants). At the hotel, the food was mostly fish & meet based which might not be a great option for vegans/vegetarians. The buffet meals are different every day but limited to 3-5 dishes to choose from. The bed mattress was very hard
