Lovely view and location, good dinner, good AC in room and balcony. Bike rental available just down the road.

Staff were lovely but not very present and could have done with more instruction and communication on reservations (cooking class and bike hire) beforehand.

We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The location is beautiful, with a wonderful view over the rice fields, making it a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner at the homestay, which was excellent and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The host family does not speak English, but they always found a way to communicate with us and, most importantly, made us feel very welcome and well looked after. Their kindness and hospitality made the experience feel very authentic and special.

We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The location is beautiful, with a wonderful view over There wasn’t anything in particular that we disliked, but there are a couple of things worth knowing in advance. Card payments are not available, so you should make sure to have enough cash with you. Also, the room is quite basic and rustic, so don’t expect anything luxurious.

La gentillesse de la famille, l'excursion en taxi à la journée, l'emplacement exceptionnel, la chambre avec balcon, les repas... Tout était parfait !

Le petit-déjeuner est bien. L'homestay est situé dans le cœur du village, proche des rizières.

Nous n'avons rencontré les propriétaire que le dernier jour, trop tard pour pouvoir prendre le repas avec eux ou organiser les visites. Quand nous sommes arrivés, le personnel sur place ne parlait pas anglais, nous avons communiqué un peu avec la fille des propriétaires via google translate, avec le cuisinier c'était impossible. Nous avons trouvé dans d'autres hébergements les renseignements nécessaires et manger à côté. C'est dommage, le séjour aurait pu être beaucoup plus agréable si nous avions rencontré la propriétaire (qui est très sympathique) plus tôt.

I don’t usually write negative reviews. I always assume that just because I didn’t enjoy a place doesn’t mean others won’t have a completely different experience. However, this time I feel I have to share my experience. If this review helps even one traveler avoid the disappointing stay we had, it’s worth writing. The guesthouse is located on a steep hillside, so every trip in or out requires a fairly challenging climb. When it rains, it becomes even more difficult. That wasn’t even our main issue. The guesthouse is run by a man in his late 30s, usually with his young daughter (around 13–14 years old) helping around the property. Communication is extremely difficult and relies almost entirely on Google Translate. Even then, it often seemed that he struggled to read the Vietnamese translation, and when communication did succeed, our requests were frequently ignored or misunderstood. For example, we ordered one iced coffee with milk and another iced black coffee. Instead, we were served two half-filled cups of hot filter coffee. After two nights we asked for our room to be cleaned. It never was. Breakfast was included in our booking, but we never received it. Most of the time there was nobody at reception and nobody in the restaurant. The property felt as though it was operating with minimal staff. As a guest, it was nearly impossible to get assistance, ask questions, or receive recommendations for the area. I also wasn’t confident about the cleanliness of the room or the bedding. I honestly couldn’t tell whether the sheets had been washed between guests, so I ended up sleeping inside my own sleeping bag liner that I had brought for trekking. On the morning of our last day, we met the female owner for the first time. She apologized for the poor experience and explained that she and her family had been dealing with personal matters and therefore were unable to properly look after their guests.

L’endroit est bien placé, la fenêtre offrait une belle vue sur les rizières. La chambre était spacieuse. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques.

Lorsque je suis arrivé, aucun des propriétaires n’étaient présents à part leur fille qui devait avoir probablement 15 ans. Aucun repas ni boissons possible dans le homestay contrairement à ce qui était indiqué sur l’annonce. Lorsqu’il a plus à torrent le soir, j’ai dû marcher loin dans la nuit sous l’orage pour pouvoir manger quelque part. Ma chambre était pleine d’insectes ( mort ou vivants). Je l’ai notifié à la propriétaire lorsqu’elle est arrivé. Elle m’a donné un spray anti insectes mais n’a pas pris la peine d’enlever les cadavres de cafard ou de mouches. Je sais qu’il est normal qu’il y est des insectes à la campagne, mais ça ne m’est pas arrivé dans tout les autres lieux où j’ai séjourné dans la campagne pendant 1 mois au Vietnam. Les propriétaires n’acceptent pas le payement par carte bancaire et il n’y a aucun lieu de retrait dans le village. Cependant, la propriétaire a été sympa et m’a fait payer moins cher car je n’avais pas assez d’argent en espèces. Mais il fallait le notifier dès le départ je pense.

Het uitzicht is adembenemend, mooier wordt het niet. De familie die de homestay openhoudt is enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze hielpen ons bij het vinden van een lokale gids/ taxi.

Homestay familial à l'écart du bruit

Superbe hébergement au Vietnam avec une vue absolument magnifique. Le repas du soir est excellent, fait avec soin et très savoureux. La famille Tai qui gère l’établissement est charmante, chaleureuse et très accueillante. Je recommande cet endroit sans aucune hésitation !

Prachtige ligging, mooi balkon, super aardige eigenaars die heel lief contact maakten met onze dochter van 3. Het eten in de avond was rijk van groenten en erg lekker. Erg behulpzaam ook met het regelen van een scooter en vervoer naar de volgende accommodatie. Definitief aanbevolen voor een paar mooie dagen!

De badkamer had een wat vreemde geur en er zou heel makkelijk een gaas voor geplaatst kunnen worden. Een prullenbak in de kamer zou ook fijn zijn.

Location was amazing, with stunning views over the tiered rice fields.

Bed linen could have been fresher - but appreciate it was damp there. Breakfast was ok, but not as varied as other places we stayed.

The location is perfect and the view from the balcony for the private room was amazing. For the price it was great. Mosquito net over the beds are a good touch The place felt wry safe and was comfortable

The owner was not there for most of the time, so we unfortunately didn’t receive the great welcome others have said in the reviews. It was very quiet and there was no one around to ask anything of. There was no food available in the evenings and didn’t seem to be anyone around at breakfast. The room was not very clean but for the price that is fine

Lovely stay in Pu Luong! The view is incredible and the homestay is nicely tucked away in the village, away from the main road. The family were very nice hosts even though communication was limited in English.

I had a very nice stay. The location was truly amazing, in the middle of the rice terraces and a walkable distance to a pretty village down the hill. There were also some restaurants and coffee shops around. I had breakfast and dinner at the property, both very good. The owner was amazingly nice and available.

The location of the homestay is great. Lovely views overlooking the rice fields with the sound of frogs and the stream. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable

Quite basic amenities which is fine but just felt a bit tired and could have been cleaner. Hosts lovely but they weren’t really around so unlike the other reviews, we didn’t seem to get much in the way of breakfast.

Famille très chaleureuse avec qui il est agréable de partager des repas! Huong a même été me reconduire sans frais à l’autobus le matin de mon départ. La chambre est bien décorée et spacieuse. J’ai aimé le balcon qui donne sur les rizières.

Hieu, the owner, is a wonderful host who genuinely cares about this place and her guests. The location is excellent, situated in a central village with familiar hotels, so we had no problems with transportation or finding restaurants. Although it's in a central village, it's still in a rural, relaxed area, close to farms and animals, which makes it feel truly magical. The room equipment includes comfort bed, good AC and more

The shower and bathroom should be cleaner

Die Lage, mit Blick auf die Reisfelder ist wunderbar. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich. Sie haben mich zu sich zum Essen eingeladen und so konnte ich köstliche Sachen aus der Gegend hier probieren. Das Essen war insgesamt sehr gut. Die Matratzen im 10-Zimmer Gemeinschaftsraum waren bequem und durch Vorhänge gut von den anderen abgetrennt. Nachts war es dunkel und man hat nur das Rauschen des Bachs gehört. Ein Traum! Das Gemeinschaftsbad war sehr sauber. Ich war 4 Nächte hier und würde sofort wieder kommen.

Very beautiful setting with great views onto the rice fields. Huong was incredibly helpful in organising my transport. I was also picked up from the main road as the bus didn’t drive all the way down. Breakfast (pancakes or rice and coffee) is included and good. She also organised an easy rider day trip which was great

The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner but nothing bad

El paisaje que rodea el homestay es maravilloso y la ubicación perfecta. La familia es encantadora y poder compartir con ellos momentos ha sido una experiencia de 100, muy interesante y mucha diversión!!! La comida muy rica. Volvería sin dudarlo.

Ho trascorso un soggiorno molto piacevole in questo hotel. La struttura è accogliente e ben tenuta, le camere pulite e confortevoli. Il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile. Soprattutto voglio ringraziare la signora dell’hotel: sempre sorridente, trasmette una grande energia positiva e illumina l’ambiente con la sua presenza. Ha anche organizzato per me un tour con una guida in motorino, davvero bravissima! È stata un’esperienza autentica e indimenticabile. Ottima anche la posizione, comoda per esplorare la zona. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel e, se tornerò in zona, lo sceglierò di nuovo.

The kind hosts and the comfort <3

We had an absolutely beautiful time at Hiếu Hương homestay. The host family was utterly and endlessly welcoming. The lovely Ms. Hương in particular is incredibly helpful and kind hearted, an unfailingly gracious and available hostess. She helped us with numerous travel arrangements, suggestions for going deeper with our local travels, and relentlessly showered our kids with kindness. She was always ready to answer our questions over text message or in person using live translation apps. In our many years of travel she is the warmest host we have ever had. It should be emphasized that this is truly a homestay, the hosts live here too and even though it's done up nicely it's not a hotel and you should set your expectations accordingly. You'll hear them going about their days, you'll be in and out of the rhythms of daily life, you'll be sharing their home; but they treated us as honored guests and it was a delight to be here. The homestay itself is newly built and in excellent condition. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed, decorated with the fine brocade made in the nearby ethnic weaving villages, which are worth a visit. (A nice selection of those wares is available for sale at the homestay if you're not up for the hikes.) Walls on the rooms are a touch thin, so you will hear your neighbors, but once the karaoke wraps up (not too late) this also means you are inundated with the sounds of frogs and birds in the terraces just outside -- we opened our patio doors to welcome the a breeze and more of the peaceful chorus. The bed nets keep concerns of mosquitos at bay, though we didn't have any insect issues in the spring. The views from the common area / dining room are lovely, looking directly over the rice terraces with gentle breezes and expansive landscapes. The road to is accessible by car but traffic is light.

Very nice young couple runs this homestay, they help me to book transportation for my next trip. Good breakfast. The husband is a also a cook and you can order meals and eat at the dinning room aslo the common area overlooking the beautiful terraced fields. My room has a private but separate bathroom by a little hall. Wish it had a night table and things to hang cloths, that's all.

One of the most beautiful, friendly and local homestays I have ever stayed. The hosts are so lovely, made you feel at home, their food is lovely. The rooms are super comfortable with a stunning view and lovely hot shower. Just perfect! Highly recommend

host family is very welcoming and hospitable, we had a great time there and will happily come back. they included us to some of their local events. the accommodation was cozy and food fresh and local. we borrowed motorbike to do nearby sightseeing as its a good mean of transportation for that area. in the village you can go to some coffee places and spa. also tours are available.

What an incredible gem tucked away in the rice paddies! Easy to find (brown wooden sign on the left, brightly lit wooden lobby and dining area that was sparkling clean) in a breathtakingly beautiful location with gorgeous views from every angle. The owner was so warm and kind, dinner and breakfast were fresh, homecooked, and delicious, and our room was big and clean with a very comfortable bed. Our friends stayed in other homestays and were amazed by how much space we had! Highly recommend for a stay in the area, well located and perfect for a peaceful vacation. Located high with stunning panoramic views of the rice fields and the mountains behind makes it our favorite spot so far on this trip. The room was with a private balcony and was on suit, clean and comfortable with a good eye for detail. Hương and Hiếu have been the most gracious of hosts and have provided help whenever needed. The delicious food also deserves a mention.
